Question: Food truck for catering my wedding? Posted: 06 Jul 2017 09:07 PM PDT I'm having a brunch wedding. It's going to be very laid back wth just close family and friends probably 35-40 people. Originally I was thinking of doing self catering and then I realized how much work it'd be. So I contacted a local waffle food truck company who quoted me about 400-500 dollars. 3 Desert waffles and 2 lunch style waffles. I was thinking of doing that And maybe providing some salads and fruit salad on the side myself (probably one of my aunts will tell them to put it out?) not sure if this is a good idea. Any thoughts? It's option number three. The photo of their catering options for some reason wouldn't upload. So ignore the last sentence :) |
Question: Marriage officiant in California said I could not mention God in my vows. Is that legal? Posted: 06 Jul 2017 06:51 PM PDT I was married earlier this year by someone at the county clerks office in San Diego California. Prior to the ceremony my husband and I asked if we could say our own written vows, and she replied with, "only if they do not mention God, so if you take those parts out then you can." Is this even legal? Should she be fired? Not to mention she then went on with the ceremony and gave us no time to say our vows! She just sped through it and didn't smile once the whole time. Sheesh, I still cringe at the the thought. I mean why work in a happy place where marriages take place if your just going to have an attitude. Ok rant over. Thank you. Still it was the best day of my life so far, without her help that is. |

Question: What's a good substituent for a wedding band? Posted: 06 Jul 2017 05:19 PM PDT Me and my soon to be Wife don't want to go down the traditional route of symbolizing our love with a ring, we we're hoping to change it up a bit. Anyone has any ideas? We thought about matching tattoo, and maybe a nickles, but we're hoping for more ideas, Any suggestions? |
Question: Vows privately and party after? Posted: 06 Jul 2017 05:14 PM PDT Me and my boyfriend want to say our vows privately and then have an outdoor beach party at a very nice place as just a celebration party. Is it weird these guests did not see the vows? |
Question: Are you happy with your cheap ring ? Posted: 06 Jul 2017 01:24 PM PDT I don't believe in big fancy expensive weddings. It's the marriage that matters, not all that extra stuff. I'd say the most important thing to put money into is the rings because it's what you keep from that special day. But I'm not a high maintenance kind of girl. Honestly, I'd be more than happy with just a band and no engagement ring. But even bands can be pricey. I always thought the better the material the better cause it'll last your whole life but a nice plain platinum band can still be $500. Did anyone opt for a cheaper material ring and still love it years later ? Tarnished/scratched whatever etc ? Or did you regret going the cheap route ? |
