Question: I was too mean to my sister? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 02:07 PM PDT So earlier today I was talking with my older sister (she is 16) and at one point she said something that didn't make any sense at all. I tried to explain that she was wrong but at first she insisted everything she said was correct... then when she finally realized she was talking crap I just said to her "gosh you are such a retard sometimes" because honestly it's just the truth. I mean she is nice and everything but sometimes she says such stupid things, it's unbelievable. Anyway after I said that she looked like she would start crying at any moment... then she walked off without saying anything to me and went into her room. I feel a bit bad now, do you think I said too much? |

Question: My parents won't let me out of the house what should I do? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:42 PM PDT Hello everyone, I am a 13 year old male And I have just graduated from grade 8 Summer has come and I see my friends (the same age as me) Walking by themselves and getting to hang out with other friends. When I ask my mother "can I go out to ___" or can I hang out with___, she's always says "No" but I am not spoiled I appreciate everything I have. in my opinion I am a great student and I respect my parents greatly. So I'm not sure why I am not allowed freedom this is bothering me a lot I have confronted her but she laughs and doesn't really care about my opinion on the matter. So what should I do? |
Question: I want to get emancipated? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:37 PM PDT So I live in Robbinsville North Carolina, An I want to move out in two months On September 11th On My 17th birthday, I was only wondering how long it would take, an what I have to do Specificially to get Emancipated in Graham County, NC. |
Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:32 PM PDT I think she thinks she is protecting me because the aunt complains about family. However, they are bringing their son and I want to see him and it feels so weird to be the only one of my parents' grandkids along with my sister who are banned from this aunt while everyone else is seeing her. So how can I convince my Mom (and Dad for that matter) to let me see this aunt? They see her so it is unfair in fact my Mom just went to Wisconsin to see her for a baptism in the aunt's family but I was banned from going per Mom and Dad's rules. |
Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:25 PM PDT I don't live there so it is no problem for me but all I hear is my mother complain. They visited for Father's Day for just two nights and my mother has done nothing but complain about the thought that they are coming at one of Thanksgiving or Christmas. The brother and his wife don't offer to help out around the house and are both loud voiced. Also one of their two kids is hyperactive (ADHD) which ads to the noise though he seems to be doing better with Ritalin. The other child is normal. They never clean up after themselves and my mother complains her daughter in law is like these two tacky relatives my Mom has and always complains about (a cousin and a step-sister of my Mom's). So how do I convince my Mom to put them in a hotel when they come in the future so my Mom will shut up and stop complaining? |

Question: I moved in with my dad but his wife wants me to leave. Should I ? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:17 PM PDT My mom passed away 2 months ago and I went to live with my dad. I am 16 and I do bad things, like smoke and I like to drink as well as have girls please me. I only really did these things recently like after my mom passed because I was always so busy caring for her. My dad's wife doesn't like me being around their young kids and she asked me to leave, she said I am a bad role model. My dad said I should stay, but they keep fighting about me being there. They don't try to hide it from me I know. I don't really have anywhere to go except for my dad's mom's house, but we aren't very close. I don't like making my dad and step mom fight because I care about my younger siblings. What do you think I should do ? |
Question: Do you feel lost in life when you don't a family? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:01 PM PDT I'm 23 and i live alone by myself. I do have a family but my mom and sister are treating me very badly when I used to live with them and even now I live far away, they still talk bad about me, my brother text often to let me know. They've never called me, maybe every 2 months or so, the call would last no more than 10 mins. I often dream my mom and I would argued and waking up make me super tiresome and sad. Atm I don't even want to contact them or have nothing to do with them anymore bc I'm too tired of their sht 2 faces. Rn I still have school and have a job, this things kept me busy without thinking about them. Sometimes whenever they call me, it just ruined my day or the whole weekend and it still continues to bother me. In public or at night, I would talk to anyone nicely and happily but not with my family, they would judge me so badly and idk what to do anymore bc they're my family. What should I do? |
Question: Did I do something wrong by not warning him? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 12:59 PM PDT I am divorced but my ex wife and I are still on friendly terms. She calls me from time to time, for advice on her investments. I got a call from her current husband that he did not want me talking to her ever again. I tried to explain to him that she called me. I did not call her EVER. To make sure I didn't talk to her again he said he would forbid her from calling me. Knowing my ex wife as I do, I knew he was going to be in big trouble for forbidding her from doing anything. It turns out he was in more trouble than I thought. She kicked him out of her house and off of her bank account and is filing for divorce. He called me and was mad I didn't warn him she would do that. I told him his relations with his wife were none of my business and I was not going to get involved and not to call me again about his soon to be ex wife and his problems. I then got a call from my ex wife asking me to join her for dinner to celebrate her getting rid of her controlling freak jerk of a husband. Should I go to dinner with her and try to make her feel better about her problems. Gals, I would really like your thoughts on this. Did I do something wrong by not warning her husband what might happen to him? |
Question: Me quiero ir de mi casa? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 12:54 PM PDT |
Posted: 02 Jul 2017 12:40 PM PDT I'm 20 and my younger brother is 15. I'm at home for the summer and my brother is out of control. Our parents are out of town for a few days so I'm staying home with my brother. He smokes, drinks, does a **** ton of other drugs also. I smoke weed too but don't promote it to him, I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know I do I keep it low key. Anyways, he was at his friends house (as I thought) I dropped him off there, I went out with some friends I haven't seen in a while. We go to dinner after a nice beach day. I get home around 9 with one of my friends and there is a f***ing party going on. My parents thought I was a troublemaker for just smoking weed in high school, I never partied, snuck out, trashed the house, had sex with RANDOM people. I walk in and im looking for my brother, I walk in my room and there r drunk teens about to f*ck IN MY ROOM. My friend gets most of the kids out of the house, once they r gone we lecture my brother and his 3 best friends and they give us the most attitude. Our mom can't control him, our dad doesn't care. I would've been fine with him smoking or drinking a beer with a few friends but not a giant party. He doesn't listen at all, he got a year expulsion from school (he can go back next year) and he's overdosed on pills before. I told my parents to send him to boarding school but they said "that's too much" HES TOO MUCH. What's a good way to talk to him? What else can I do? Please help, im the only one who parents him. |
Question: I had a very bad thought about my mom, and now I don't know what to do.? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 12:35 PM PDT My grades came in and they weren't too good, so it's natural for my parents to feel angry and disappointed with me, and in fact I even despise myself for getting such a low GPA. So I understand why my mom's angry at me all the time. She yells at me over the smallest things and I let her since I deserve it, but even though I understand her anger I can't help but get all annoyed and angry when she yells. This morning when my mom yelled at me my mind kinda snapped and I got all these negative thoughts pouring in. Most of the thoughts were just about me standing up to my mom and giving her a piece of my mind, but one thought disturbed me the most, "Die you old hag". I didn't mean it. The thought shocked me and instantly I started to regret it. I don't know where the thought came from. I mean yes I was angry and annoyed but not to the point where I wanted her to die. No matter how angry I am I would never wish death upon my own mother. Not only did my mind tell her to die but also called her an old hag. It's my first time having such a thought about my mom. I usually have thoughts of me simply standing up to her. After I had this thought I couldn't properly look at my mom. Are thoughts like these normal? I don't want another thought like this. I started to fear horrible events might happen to my mom and me because of this thought. I'm not sure how to react, do I just ignore the thought and move on? |

Question: My mom is dragging me down and I can't help it but I can't wait to get away from her? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 11:45 AM PDT Every time she comes home from work if there was a mess at home she flips and starts screaming at me , but to only find out it was my OLDER brother who created the mess she demanded straight away that I was to clean it up. Secondly she always says oh why didn't you do this or that , but my problem is she always tells me to do things at home but my brother doesn't she says that's "because your a girl" this is really annoying and lastly she would wear my clothes without asking I don't mind but she starts screaming and shouting at me for wearing her things double standards I borrowed one of her new bras because she got a boob job which are a 34D they fit me and are comfortable but she hasn't bought me new bras in so long my bras are a B! She hates it that I have bigger boobs than her what should I do :( |
Question: Should I be a stiff mother? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 11:11 AM PDT I am a widowed mother and everyone says that I have to be a rigid mother, the one who stays on top, who almost will not let her daughter leave, I always tell my daughter the intentions of the people, I talked about her sex when she had 13 years old when she's menstruating, when she finishes the task she can leave, I just do not let her sleep outside and go to bed alone because she's only 16, but people say I'm an incompetent mother because I'm a liberal mother, I have to be strict even if she hates me. They say I'm going to get pregnant early, and they'll hurt me. I feel like a bad mother. |
Posted: 02 Jul 2017 10:09 AM PDT My Mom killed herself when I was 11 and so I have lived with my Dad. I remind them of her I guess. I see on my cousin's facebook how they all have gathered this weekend for a family reunion of my Mom's siblings, close cousins, nieces and nephews (my cousins), and my granny. Yet none of them have seen me in 3 years other then my granny sees me once a year at Christmas time. I reached out the last two summers and my Dad helped me put together a gathering but nobody came other then my granny and one cousin. I didn't bother this year. Most decline friend requests on Facebook I send and generally while they aren't mean they are just not interested in having a relationship. I feel so sad as that is the last connection to my mother. On top of that the rest of them are really close to each other, I feel like an outcast. How do I get over feeling so sad about this? My Dad's only sibling never married and has no kids so I have no extended family except my two granny's and my Dad's sister who is a Catholic Nun. My mother has a great family but I am just not good enough to join because my Mom killed herself. My Mom was Bipolar so it wasn't my fault but I am suffering the consequence of it as a young adult (I am 22). Please help? |
Question: Help my 4 year old caught us having sex will she remember? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 09:58 AM PDT I'm 21 I live with my bf the father of my baby. We put our baby to sleep in her own room, then we go to our room next door to have our privacy. We keep the door unlocked because we put her to sleep & think no problem she won't come in. But she caught us about 3 times, she gets scared at night and comes rushing to our room so she could sleep next to me. I'm tryna teach Her to learn to stay in her own room not always be tucked with mommy & daddy. She caught us in the act she seems confused, she asked us why we're naked. I told her it's something two people that love each other do, it's not wrong she replied saying ewww. Anyway I'm more embarrassed will she remember ? I don't wanna scar her |
Question: Am I overreacting? Am I being too emotional? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 09:56 AM PDT Long story short, I am 21 years old and for pretty much my entire life, my family, mainly my mother has been making offensive jokes about my intelligence. When I was younger I used to get bad grades and slack off in class and it seems like ever since then she think its okay to joke around about me being "dumb". Now, I know I shouldn't be offended because I'm actually quite intelligent but it's still offensive especially coming from someone who birthed you. Some example of her jokes would be: "You know (insert my name) doesn't know what that word means" when my brother asks me something. Or just say slick things that would imply that I am "dumb". She has always been this way but I never really say nothing because her excuse is "Im just joking!". She doesn't treat my brother like that though. Probably because he's been an honor child since elmentary and he never really messed up in school BUT because I have, in the past, its okay for her to make jokes like that? Am I overreacting? Should I just let it go? |
Question: Did I do something wrong with my ex mother in law? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 09:46 AM PDT I got a call from my former mother in law Pam asking for my help moving programs and data from her old computer to her new one. I really liked her when I was married to her daughter Lisa so I agreed to help her. She offered to pay me but I told her I don't charge friends for my help. Much to my surprise about a week later I got a call from Lisa asking me not to help her mother any more. She said her mom should be calling her current husband for help, not me. I told her that I would have a hard time not helping a friend that asked for help. About 6 months later I got a call from Pam asking from my help again to get her computer up and running. I told her about what her daughter Lisa ask me to do. Pam said Lisa had told her the same thing and she ask Lisa's husband for help with her computer and he fouled it up so bad it would not boot up. I went to her house and fixed her computer problem. I am having second thoughts about helping Pam again. Am I going to cause Pam a problem with her daughter or is her relation with her daughter none of my business? What would you advise I do in the future? THANKS. |
Question: My mom 46, brother 17 homeless. What do I do to try and help them? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 09:40 AM PDT I am 24, I work full time and yes I am still in college. I don't live with my mom and brother I live with my dad. My mom and been in and out of homes through her life b/c she could never find a stable job, she's never went to college although she did graduate from hs. Question: How long will it take to finish a year in high school through online studies? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 09:16 AM PDT I was thinking of getting a job in korea and based on my own calculations, I will need to work for 9 to 10 months to support my own studies for a year. My parents are both living in there while me and my sisters are here in the philippines. One of my sisters will be graduating from senior high school while my eldest sister is already in college making it hard for my parents to support the three of us financially. My dad recently got injured and couldn't work for awhile so my mom is really struggling about everything. I wanted to put some of the burden out of my parents shoulder so i thought of working to support myself. I also got dropped out of school due to my depression. But I wanted to use that in a positive way, and i think it would make a great opportunity for me to prove that im capable of doing something not only to my family but also to myself. I haven't really done anything for myself so i think that working to support myself is a great thing ( not to mention that it will make our financial struggles less). After 3 years my eldest sister will graduate from her college. By then I will stop working and focus myself in studying instead. I also wanted to ask if I take my studies seriously while working, can i finish atleast 1 year or 2 years of school in just 3 years? |

Question: How do I say I don't want to see my biological father anymore.? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 08:04 AM PDT He lives away from the rest of my family "My mom" "Step dad" and "sister and brother". Who I see every day and I love. But when I go visiting my biological father. I'm absolutely in pain. I'm currently with him and I am 12 years old. And what I'm planning is sending him a break up text when the plane departs. What should I say? |
Question: What do I do if I disagree with my child's mother about giving our daughter medicine? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 07:18 AM PDT My child's mother and I have joint custody of our 4 year old daughter. Anytime our daughter has even the slightest problem her mother gets her put on antibiotics. Well currently she has a runny nose and I just picked her up and she gave me antibiotics to give to her. I would rather try natural methods instead. What are my rights as her father? What can I do? |
Question: Why does my mom do this? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 07:06 AM PDT So my mom treats me in some hard way. She wants me to act like a complete "adult". I know she wants the best for me, but at times it feels like it's too far. I'm 14, girl. Whenever I'm hanging out with my friends she says it's a waste of time and useless. She says she won't be feeding me anymore. And almost every phone call that She should be doing, she's asks me to do it for her. Idk why she does this. I'm responsible for my pets, I do the dishes, I clean most of the house. She asks me for money to buy stuff for herself, all my savings are gone already. I've tried for a job but the businesses said I'm too young (in my state). She yells at me when my hair is down, she hates it when it's down, in all cases. I play tenor saxophone, I have for like 1.5 yrs (I'm in my school band), I practice at home and she says "grown ups don't waste their time on that, btw it's loud and annoying!". Im not really immature anymore. It's like all the stuff that I do annoys her. I don't have siblings so as a kid I grew up with lots of adults, and never got to have fun with others kids. At times it's just hard to resist myself with friends to hangout, cuz I never got to do that. Is it ok for her to do this? Or should I just go with it, Thx |
Posted: 02 Jul 2017 06:56 AM PDT Hey so my younger sister is 13 and pretending to be an individual who self harms and is having trouble keeping clean, voicing her nonexistent struggles on twitter to get noticed by other individuals. I cannot stand this, it gets me so annoyed and mad. Do I just confront her straight on and be like stop, this is disgusting and not a method for seeking attention? Like ugh I'm heated right now |
Question: How do I get over my anger against my parents? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 06:43 AM PDT I am medical student, my mother use to compare me to my cousins who were doctors, so I wanted to do this for her and for me. I took loans but was financially dependent on my parents so had to live with them as I couldn t afford my own place. End of 2nd year of med school, they said they can t take care of me anymore and I should get married. I resisted and kept going until they urged me to marry a guy whom I was dating but was having issues. I wanted to break up with him but because he is rich and my parents put lot of pressure on me. I went on anti-depressants and got married. However Marriage interfered with my studies and I even failed my med school exam. Now I am unhappily married, pregnant and completely financially dependent on my husband. I have tons of med school loans which my husband offered to pay for them. Its really sweet of him, despite our differences. My parents are nicer to my sisters who are earning money but because I have loans and liability, they have turned their faces towards me. My mom is plain cruel. When I was in med school, one of classmates molested me, I kept the incident to myself and when I finally told her after many years, she replied: " when you were born, the priest said you were jinxed, we all thought you will give some wrong medicine to your patient and that ll be the curse, we didn t know that were cursed because you got molested". When I was little, she used to say that girls get raped, they should just commit suicides. |
Question: What Should I do When my Narcissistic Mother Patronises me in front of my Girlfriend? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 06:25 AM PDT I didn't want to bring my gf home but she insisted and my mother has been patronising me throughout the stay. One example being, that I just came out of the toilet and my mother asked me (with my girlfriend in the same room) whether I washed my hands. Also, she's speaking to me like a baby constantly. I'm 24 freaking years old! How should I handle this? |

Question: How do I get to know my cousins when they become adults when I am so much older? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 05:42 AM PDT So on my Mom's side of the family I am so much older then my cousins. I am 32 and they are ages 13 through 22. Growing up my Mom was not the best towards her family anyway so we only went to one family gathering a year. The rest of the cousins got together 3 or 4 times a year so are closer and some went to public school together and became friends. So now I am an adult and recently hosted a party Memorial Day weekend. All of my Mom's generation came but only two cousins out of 13. The other time I had one only one cousin came. Naturally to a teen going to a party run by a distant relative is boring. When they become adults though how do I get to know them more so I am not remembered as "that distant part of the family with the cold mother" as I fear I will be painted with my Mom's brush (she is deceased now). All of her siblings like me and see me frequently but the teens naturally don't know me very well. Anonymous,,, I am not an uncle, I am an older cousin. And yes I am older but when they get older I want to know them more, now while they are young I could care less, it is when they are adults that I want to be a known family member rather then a distant unknown relative like my Mom is as this is her side of the family. |

Question: Some questions about my ruining life? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 04:24 AM PDT I am 20 years old and i have two disgusting parents who are very controlling. I must tell them where i am going before leaving home and when i'll come back! Even they don't let me do some of my own works on my own! In the cloth shop, it is my father who put the cloth on me. I complain them very much but no result! Even they don't let me go shopping clothes for myself lonely! Beside these problems, they didn't learn me the most important life techniques since my childhood like peeling an apple, repair water tap, even driving! Even i learned how to cycle when i was 17, because my father never bought a bicycle for me! I am tired of these behaviors of them Now i think it is better for me to stay away from my parents in another house and live lonely at least for 1 year But surely i know my parents don't let me this What must i do with them? How can i reach my goal? Can i learn my lacks on my own? Isn't this better for me to put my parents behind the bars for ruining my life? Or putting them in the assylum? Of course beside these problems i am a very clever, good student in university person, and i am not a shy person, and i am very good at speaking and lecturing |
Question: My dad used to touch me when I was little? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 03:48 AM PDT Hi, so i am a 14 year old boy and i remember that my dad used to touch my private area when i was little. He wouldnt make me do anything else, he would just play with it. I feel ashamed and my mom doesnt know, but i think my sister who is 3 years older than me saw one time too but didnt understand. I used to touch him back too. I thought it was normal being a young child. I dont know how long this has been going on for and I havent thought about it in a while. I know my dad cares for me GREATLY because he takes care of me, he works extremely hard to provide for our family and has never abused me in any other way since the incident that happened when i was 4-5 years old. I confronted him about it one time and he said that his dad used to do it to him and that he was just playing. He said not to ask him about it again. I dont know how to feel. I feel as though it influenced my sexuality because learning to think that touching a penis at a young age and thinking its normal can be pretty scarring. It makes me depressed sometimes that I know i cant and never will ask anyone about it again which is why i decided to come to yahoo answers and look for closure. Please give advice on what to do, as i feel lost whenever i think about it happening. Thank you. |

Question: Moms reaction to 18 and pregnant? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 01:24 AM PDT I told my mom I was pregnant with my boyfriend in the navy and she forced me to go get an abortion. I told both my parents I didn't want that but they were not accepting my decision. We go into the office and because I am 18, I told them I did not want this done. And they dismissed me. My mom threw a fit, snatched my glasses off my face, cursed/yelled at me for being so stupid and left me at the clinic, drove off and everything. Meanwhile she is also pregnant with her boyfriend. I'm crying because I can not see, my phone is dead, and don't have any cash money to get anywhere. I asked security for a phone and got in touch with my boyfriend (now husband) and he told me that he spoke with my parents and told me that she was outside waiting for me. I get in the car and she's literally fighting me from the backseat, hitting/punching everything. After cussing my husband out. Another incident, she came in my room to "talk" persuade to me about why an abortion is best. That ended up with her smacking me in my face multiple times and taking the stuff that she's given me away. She's also tried to convince me that my husband didn't want me. -btw she also had me at 18 Now I just can't seem to accept her apology and I think about it all the time and it breaks my heart to keep ruminating about everything she has done to me. What would you do? Any opinions on how I should go about this |
Question: How to deal with a bully kid? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 12:58 AM PDT Hello guys, I'm 14 and my mom is working and my dad too, they are usually not with us so they lend us to my grandma, and I hated it, I hated being here, and that's because of this child. Sometimes I wanna freaking punch his face really bad because he bullies us alot, and he thinks that it's funny, like spitting on us, moking us, and the worse part is that his mom and my grandma tolerate and even spoil this child and most of the time we are the one who gets scolded even he is the wrong one. I told this to my mom, she said that we need to stay here for 1 year more because of financial issues and our house is currently not done yet, and my sibling is really bullied by this kid that even in school she get bullied because of this demon child, and its worse that they are classmates. What should I do? |

Question: Can my father still keep my papers as he want? Posted: 02 Jul 2017 12:02 AM PDT By papers, I mean birth certificate, passport, social security, etc. My parents are divorced but my dad is keeping my birth certificate and other papers. I need them for my learner's permit test and college workstudy but he refused to give me them. He's forcing my mother to spent money to get a copy of MY birth certificate at city hall when it's not even his. If he wants to keep mine so badly, why can't he get a copy? Then he trash talked my mom about how she can't run things in the house and blah blah blah. I'm 18 and does my stubborn father still have he legal right to keep my stuff? He's not even listening He's being real ignorant about this and told me "read the laws." |

Question: How to live with mom? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 11:52 PM PDT I don't argue with my mom, and I don't really bother her. But sometimes she will call the cops on me for things like she believes that I haven't taken medication, and the last time she did this while I was in the middle of applying to school, and I was stuck in the hospital for one month (like a prisoner) and the deadline passed. the tried to inject me with a lot of medications and it really effected me. I'm worried my mom will try to do this to me again. I can't move out, because my job only makes me 250 per month (i can't even find a roomate for that cheap) and Im not sure what to do... she has threatened to call the police on me for things like coming back late (usually i'm stuyding with a friend) to claim that i am insane and running around . I feel helpless. other things she's done, she went to my family doctor, and said stuff about me exagerated everything then the doctor wrote a letter to a court and got a court order to hospitalize me. |
Question: My nieces were arguing over who has the most attractive father? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 10:24 PM PDT Two of my sisters have 17 year old daughters. Niece #1 started ranting about how annoying it is when people obsess over her dad because of his looks. Then niece #2 joined the conversation and it went like this: Niece #2: Yeah, I know the feeling. The same thing happens to me with my dad. Niece #1: .... How many times? Twice a year? Yes, your dad is attractive, but ...have you seen my dad? Niece #2: Way more than twice a year! Niece #1: Whatever. You always have to outdo me. This really isn't the same situation at all. Just let me have this one thing, please. Niece #2: It's the exact same situation. Niece #1: I'm not trying to be weird or make a huge deal out of nothing, but I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that someone comments on my dad's appearance literally every single day of my life. You just look stupid trying to compare my situation to yours because your dad might be the most attractive man in this town or whatever, but mine would be the most attractive even if he moved to the biggest city in the world...so just shut up. Then niece #2 fired back with similar arguments and they fought for a while. Should I be concerned? I will say that niece #1's father is by far the most attractive man I've ever seen in my life, and she's right about the fact that he could move to the biggest city in the world and still be the most attractive, so I'd kind of be offended too if I were niece #1 and niece #2 tried comparing my father to her average looking one and saying that she "deals with the same thing". |
Question: Is it wrong to want to go out with my best friend to dinner ? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 10:06 PM PDT I am 22 years old I have a 1 year old daughter and my fiancé is 23. Question: My dad is having a baby with a girl who is younger than me? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 09:40 PM PDT My dad recently started a new relationship with a girl he worked with. They started dating mid march and just two weeks ago they told my sister and I that she is pregnant... with twins! I at first thought they were kidding because that's so outlandish but the ultrasound pictures confirmed it. I have so many mixed emotions. I am 24. I have a 2 year old son. She is 23 and has 3 kids from a previous marriage. I say previous but she was with her husband until March and they separated. I have 1 sister who is 26 and we are both very confused about the whole thing. My dad was absent to us as children and we think it's wrong of him to have more children at his age, and with someone who is younger than the both of us. Not to mention everything is just odd. The timing. She "got kicked out" of her mom's house and my dad co signed her an apartment after knowing her 1 month. I currently live with him while I'm finishing school and I have to move out with my son before the babies get here. Her kids stress him out horribly and he takes his stress out on me. I don't know how to feel about any of it because he won't communicate with me. He always said he just wants everyone to be happy for him but I don't think he realized how serious this is as he didn't help my mom with my sister and I. How do I move forward and not harbor bitterness towards him? How do I communicate with her and not feel disgusted? |
Posted: 01 Jul 2017 09:18 PM PDT So, my family shares a computer and it's primarily used by my little brother. He downloads things all the time and is generally ignorant. I use my phone mostly. I went to use the computer and noticed it was extremely slow. It took 8 minutes to log in, and it's a $3k computer. I did a virus scan and it turns out my little brother had gotten ~100 viruses in the past 2 months alone. I managed to get rid of them all and cleared some junk off the Mac. I told my dad and so he went to see it himself, and he complained that it wasn't even that slow. I told him it was because I cleared the viruses but he wouldn't listen. He went through file by file for an hour until he found an application I'd installed 2 years ago and he blamed that (and me) for slowing down the mac. It was obviously my little brother. And when I was pissed when I'd found all those viruses, he told me not to dwell on the little things but when he found this bullshit reason to blame me, he got all pissed at me. Now everyone in my family hates me for a variety of bullshit reasons. My parents, my siblings. I should mention, I'm 14, my little brother is 12. This isnt the one reason they all hate me. It's a ton of bullshit like this stacked up. THEY BLAME ME FOR EVERYTHING. and whenever I make any sort of claim no one believes it. Once my sister was trying to steal the keyboard while I was using the mac, and i VERY SLIGHTLY pushed her hand away. She told my parents I hit her and I got grounded. One time that same sister scratched me all the way down my back and it was all red and nearly bleeding but all my dad said was "well you know, it happens". Now my own mother refuses to cook for me, or allow me to eat what she cooks. She refuses to do my laundry or even just sweep the floor in my room. My own mother (and siblings) call me a psychopath nearly on a daily basis |
Question: Daughter is becoming unfit raising her kids? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 09:10 PM PDT Lately my daughter has been doing a lot of questionable things. I have been trying too see my grand kids for the last few weeks. So today she told me it was a good day to see the kids. I get to her house and she tells me that the kids are with the other grandparents for the next 20 days. Of course I'm not happy because she just lied to me and I drove an hour too see them. But what really pissed me off was that she and her husband were high as a kite. So I get on Facebook and the kids are not with the other grandparents. But instead they are with one of her drug addict friends who I thought she stopped dealing with years ago when she got herself together. She took them to see the fireworks today. In this photo this young lady is posing with beers. No not just 1 but multiple photos. Drinking and driving with my babies. My grand kids stopped calling me and they use to call me every day. It's like she and her husband like pushing their kids on to other people so they won't have to deal with them. I'm just really fed up. When my daughter stops returning my calls I know she is up to something no good. Im concerned! It's not only this but she recently got a $30,000 inheritance check from my dad who recently passed away a few months ago and she blew right through that money in 2 months by buying nonsense. She and her husband act like big kids and should have never had children. I kept telling her that it is not a joke. I'm I over reacting? Anyone been in a situation like this? |

Question: Why are my sisters boyfriend are so anal? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 08:20 PM PDT So I have 3 sisters and two of them have boyfriend and both of those guys are nice but sometimes they are a little anal. They have this wall up and always like know it all. I don't know they do that to make people think they are smarter but I am a very chill guy I just feel like for them is like competition whenever they see me or each other. Honestly I don't give a **** if they are not smart or whatever but I don't know why this attitude comes up. Does anyone have the same situation where their sisters boyfriend are kind anal and know it all? |
Question: How do I get to know my cousins when they become adults when I am so much older? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 08:07 PM PDT So on my Mom's side of the family I am so much older then my cousins. |
Posted: 01 Jul 2017 08:06 PM PDT I fear displeasing them like I am going to be grounded or something but I am 45 years old. |
Posted: 01 Jul 2017 08:05 PM PDT My Mom won't let us go because she is pissed with her brother. We haven't gone the last four years and i fear when I am an adult and can go on my own they won't like me anymore. I am 16 and haven't seen my cousins since I was 12. I fear I will be rejected when older. All my Mom's cousins are there to with their kids. We are the only ones not good enough to go because of my Mom's attitude. How do I handle the shame that will continue through the weekend. I hate 4th of July and Christmas because of this. |

Question: How can I get my little brothers to get along? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 07:59 PM PDT The younger of the two finds tiny things to blame the elder for, from minor annoyances to full out fights, it's all day every day and they don't stop until my mother or I have a breakdown. The younger thinks he's an angel and does nothing wrong and that it's the elders fault, the elder is trying not to start fights, but often fails. I can't stand it anymore, I've come close to running away just to get away from them! What can we do? |

Question: How to create a better relationship with my future in laws? Is it too late? Posted: 01 Jul 2017 07:50 PM PDT My fiancé and I have been together 5 years. When we started dating his family adored me, once he moved out of town to be with me it all changed. He moved 80 miles away to be with me. It's been 3 years and whenever we visit, they look at me like I'm a nobody/scum. Granted my fiancé and I are busy with our own lives, so he doesn't see them much and doesn't call them much ((his choice)) and I can definitely tell that they blame me for it. im not sure how to correct this.. If it can even be corrected.. |
