But she suffers from very deep depression. She was raped when she was 9, and almost all of her exes treated her like ****. We just had a fight: everytime I try to support and care for her, believe in her, she says "I don't care" or just a simple "k". I pour my emotions out to her of how I feel every morning everytime I say "hey" and hope to God she hadn't killed herself yet...I tell her, that unlike most of her other exes, I treat you with some form of human decency...and she then tells me "You're a prick." I then tell her, "Sorry I ever tried to help. I don't deserve you anyways." Which I don't. Underneath all the depression, she's a beautiful soul. I tell her, (and it pained me just to say this) "You just hurt me. Please don't talk to me for a while at most." I say good-bye, and I do blame myself for getting into this...I feel like I should've stayed friends with her once she said "I'm a little depressed at times. Hope you don't mind." But at the same time, I don't. We both have a lot in common and before this, we hoped to finally meet each other in a year or so...I don't know what to say or do. I had a tough childhood and overcame many obstacles to get to where i am at today. I have a good job, nice apartment, and feel confident with my body. My boyfriend had an easier life growing up, but is a quiet closed off person. He is friendly and caring, but doesn t give me insight to how he s feeling or what he s thinking about unless i pry it out of him. He has a good job but it s not what he wants to be doing with his life. He finally admitted to possibly have fallen into a depression but won t talk about it anymore. Our love life/sex life has diminished and we are functioning like two good roommates, not partners. It is frustrating because when I was dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts, he kind of avoided me because he didn t know how to deal with me. Now that the tables have turned, i tried to be supportive but part of me almost doesn t even care if he s depressed because he wasn t there for me and my life is thriving. I know this sounds selfish and harsh, but i had to be honest so i could get an honest answer/advice. Please tell me how i should handle this! |

Anyway, fastforward a year later, and I am closer to him (as friends) than I ever was with any of my school friends (since I'd been new to the school, and we barely had common interests). My male friend and I have m a n y common interests, we almost talk about how we're twins (our birthdays are also only a few days apart). I've recently been trying to distance myself a bit since he's actually an amazing guy, who's difficult to not like, but I feel that'd affect our friendship, and feelings of attraction are really hard to control. My friend group genuinely cares for one another, and at this point I think everyone is okay with this male friend. However, if there were a possibility of getting with him (which might be pretty low at the moment), I just don't feel like it'd be right. Any advice on this issue will be greatly appreciated. She was walking to the exit as I was walking almost towards her, but I was still a little far away from her. She could've just left and pretended she didn't see me. Instead, she started staring at me even when I wasn't looking at her, and when I looked back she didn't stop looking. She just stood at the exit staring at me and didn't leave. We held eye contact for a while as I walked right by her. I was the one to break eye contact and look away as I passed her, and once I passed her she left almost immediately. Before she found out I liked her, she could never hold eye contact with me (no one else just me) and she most certainly never initiated it. I've seen her look at me a lot when she thinks I can't see her and she'll look away immediately if I look over. Every time she looks over at me she has the same neutral look on her face. The look she gives me then were the same look she gave me this time. |
