I'm a male teen, and I think the problem is my clothes are too wintery. No, I don't have an AC in my room, and no, I'm not going to "git gud and get up" I don't have water near me. Also, I'm home alone so I can't call for help, and I'm not wearing socks or any blankets or sheets. No objects around to fan myself with either.

Okay so my mom has always been really sensitive and over protective, but recently it has gotten out of hand. My family and I are on holidays abroad, we are hear for limited time, the weather is good but once we get home it is non stop rain. This is the last whole damily holiday we will ever be going on. So its a nice day and I want to go the the beach, we have bot been out side the apartment complex the while holiday. My mother will not let me or my brother go anywhere on our own, ANYWHERE. My bro is soon 18 and tnx to her over protectivness has literally never been outside anywhere on his own before, both of us lack any skills whatsoever true no fault of our own. When ever I disagree with my mother she throws a temper tantrum. She is always commenting on my appreance and 'lack of personality' but whenever I say anything to her I am the worst person alive. I anted to go to the beach and my mom said that her or my dad could get a heart attack if they go. A few seconds later she shouts you can go if you want to i dont care. Then i bring up the fact that i am too scared now as she stated my fathe might get a heart attack if he did (he has no health issues whatsoever). She denied saying this but when i persueed it ( in a calm voice) she started shouting at me spewing food from her mouth all over the place saying gow im always having a go at her and she is sick of it. She seems very emotionally unstable and stormed to her room blubbering, i now feel guilty. Am i in the wrong? I am very unhappy with my socail life and just want a chance to be a normal teenager

I am very worried about their safety because I'm not there a lot and my dad has had car accidents in the past and he drives really fast. My sister is always climbing over the car or sitting on the floor or on her mums lap and she's always hurting herself when my dad has slam on because she's flies forward. My baby brother once fell out of his car seat onto the floor and his car seat fell on top of him. I'm always having to stop his car seat from falling forward. I m nearly 16 years old. My mom always encourages me to hang out with my friends but the second I ask her if I can do something with my friends she starts yelling at me about how "I never spend time with her" and how I m selfish and spoiled and don t love her. She talks about how she is the adult and I need her permission to do things, but she never gives me permission so I have been inside all summer. We get into arguments a lot. Whenever I try and explain to her how I feel she will say something like "I m just gonna kill myself" or something along those lines and it make sure me feel terrible but I feel like I am not in control of my own life. My dad has been abusive since i was little and till now. He used to abuse my mom and now that i'm older, i'm 19 and if i come home late around 9 or 10, he gets angry and threatens to hit me. He once did when i just came home at 9. The other day i came home , and he said wished he never had me as a daughter. I was literally crying for two days and i still do when i think about it. I told him i volunteer just so i could create a better future and have experience and he doesn't want me to do that because i would be home late and whenever i came home late he would try to hit my mom, but my mom is always defending him, saying its his meds, but he always acted like this since i was little. I'm tired of living with him, i want to run away or get help, i do not want to call 911, and i've recently got an interview for a job, which the guy wants me to work till 8 and my dad would be an issue. Going away is my last resort because i know i can't financially support myself. I'm just tired of feeling like i'll have no future and i won't accomplish my dreams , because right after i finish college, they just want me to get married, but i feel like i'm wasting my life since i can't do the amazing things i want to do, because of him and the timing. My mother and I both work from home (we each have separate homes) at the same conpany that neither of us owns. I also live across the street from her (I purchased the house with money I earned). I am 28 years old and support myself. She is constantly correcting me in areas where she feels that I have character defects so that I can change. She feels I'm selfish, for example, so she went into my house and helped herself to food from my refrigerator to teach me to share. She also borrows appliances without permission to teach me to share. She requires that I attend church every Sunday (we attend the same church), and she lectures me until I agree to go. She made herself a key to my house and lets herself in whenever she pleases. I also have to call her and tell her anytime I am leaving my house to go somewhere; she says that it's for safety reasons, etc. Anytime I try to stop her, she says that God is directing her to parent me so that I will have a good life.

My grandmother is Cherokee Indian and very visibly so physically. She has been in jail five times for offenses ranging from public drunkenness to prostitution. My mother and grandmother did not get along so I ve had limited interactions with her growing up. The division between them, as also corroborated by my uncles and aunts, is that she was never home but was always wanting to go party, hook up with other men, and do drugs and drink heavily. She had six children and recently we have found out through DNA analysis that half of my aunts and uncles have different fathers. My mother says that she would randomly show up after months or even years of being gone with a new baby. My aunt Heather was actually brought to my grandfathers house when she was a day old and my grandmother wasn t seen again for another year. My grandfather raised 6 children on his own and went through so much to do this.... imagine raising 6 children by yourself! My grandfather was not Native American just so you know.

Basically, all last month, I've been eager to visit my little cousin who will be visiting my town for the holidays. Sadly, I was still very sleepy the morning that my little cousin returned, so my parents went to see them without me. Later on the day, my parents called and told me that they'll drive back home and take me to my cousin's house. As soon as I got ready(shower and everything), they said, "Well, [my little cousin] is in another city right now and will be back in about 5 hours." I mean, I freaking woke up, showered, picked out my clothes, and they're gonna say, "Cancel it, we'll pick you up in 5 hours." Wow. And now, I don't want to visit my freaking cousin anymore!

I was about 8 or 9 when my step dad came into my life and it was right after my grandfather had just past away from lung cancer and I was devastated, I remember my mom bringing him in to my grandmothers house after we had moved in to help with the loss of my grandfather, I had never seen him before and my mom was bringing him to our home and he would stay the night, my mom would even drag me to his house in New Jersey for us to stay the weekend, I remember I could no longer do certain things and had to switch traditional routines to accommodate him and it made me so mad because I would voice my frustration and my mom would immediately dismiss me. In 2005 when I was 12 my mom told me she was going on vacation with him for a few days when she got back she showed me this nice diamond ring on her finger and told me she was now married to him. My stepdad in no way was a bad or mean person, he was actually really nice and welcoming but after my told me this I felt very betrayed. Me and my mom had been through so much before he came and I thought an important occasion like her wedding is something she would want me to be present for. And during their reception I have to be in a room with my step dad's family who are also really nice, but I am not as welcoming as other and at that moment I have to put a smile and act like I like what's going on when actually I hate it and I hate them.

I have a little brother who Is 17, and I'm 20. He shows me everyday he hates me by his stares. I never give him eye contact because I try not to care. It wasn't always this way but he was kicked out of his dad's and sent to live with me and my mom and step dad. A few months back he throws my moms flat screen out the window and bust the windows out my car because my step dad and mom were arguing. He's fought his teacher and been put into behavior school. And was removed from his dad's house because he put his dad in a hospital. Psychologist said nothing's wrong with him. He still shows kindness to my mom and step dad but shows contempt for me and I've never done anything but try to his friend. Tried watching movies with him he told me no. Recently I just got a new big flat screen for my room and an Xbox. I'm afraid he will damage it.I keep my room locked. I dont talk to him anymore but sometimes he will accuse me of stealing his things and try to start an argument. I'm not afraid of him. If I didn't understand the consequences I'd probably actually fight him. He's 6'0+ and I'm 5'4 girl. Today I got wings from pizza hut and he bit one and threw the rest away. He knew they where mine because my parents don't eat spicy things and I always buy them. When my mom asked why he threw them away He said "They'll get over it." To make a statement he left the empty bowl in the fridge. Can't do anything about it. I feel toxic.

Basically I've been having joint/bone pan in my right leg since December. I was supposed to have my 3rd(?) rheumatology appointment on the 19th of June. Last month. But we had to cancel it for reasons I'm not aware of. My mom never rescheduled it and I'm still in constant pain every. single. day. I asked my mom to scheduled the appointment but she just said there's "nothing wrong with me" because "I haven't been complaining about it being there" even though it's there. I stopped complaining about it because every time I DID, she'd roll her eyes. She always says I'm just finding more reasons to "bring up the insurance bill" or something. She legitimately thinks I'm lying about the pain. And she's not even the one taking me to these appointments, my dad is. And no, I can't ask my dad to make the appointment. My mom's my primary caregiver and I guess she just insists on doing it. So no I can't ask my dad to call them and schedule an appointment. The pain is everyday, on my right leg and it's making me so anxious. I keep thinking of the worst things. I just want to know what's wrong and why I keep getting them. I'm 15 so it's not growing pains. How do I get my mom to call the freaking office and schedule an appointment that she's not even taking me to? It's like she doesn't even care about my well-being!

I don't live with my parents anymore, but my mom comes over to visit (I live with my grandparents.) She has snooped through my room and told me I am on the same birth control as her (she saw it in my nightstand), and that I don't need to be on birth control (I'm 22) because it "doesn't help" my periods that much, etc. She has rearranged my grandmother's towels and told her she needs to get rid of some. My grandparents are in their early 60's and very active and of sound mind so they are able to do everything for themselves, and they own businesses and still work. So it's not like they need help. Basically when I was 14 my little sister must of been about 3 or 4 and she always took pics of herself on our family coumputer, as it was funny. And I dunno why she always walked around topless like some kids do, so when she was taking pics of herself she was topless. She was doing loads of weird poses and I was giving her poses to do as well as thought it was funny but NOT in a pedo way. a couple weeks ago i bought some weed because i've been in a really bad place and just been really depressed and i felt like alcohol wasn't doing anything anymore. So i've only smoked weed twice and never really gotten high so last night i tried it one last time and i got really high. well i didn't have anywhere to put the rest of the blunt and it was basically all gone so i flushed it, but i forgot to flush the toilet. I know, stupid mistake. Anyways my brother who is 21, I'm 16, went to the bathroom today and saw it and busted in my room. told me if he ever found another blunt wrapper in the toilet or anywhere again he'd kill me. Now i feel so guilty, we were just getting close and now I feel like he hates me for this. I know he was a teenager once too but I'm not sure if he ever smoked. I just feel so bad and I feel like i should tell my parents.

So she said it was for my protection that she did not allow me near her father who was a moody alcoholic. However she had no problem with me being at family events that her sister's brother-in-law was at who had been convicted of attempted forcible rape. She also didn't mind me being around her sister's husband who was a heavy drinker (maybe not full blown alcoholic until later years). So are my mother's claims that she was "protecting me" from my grandfather likely just that she was mad at her father for not getting help? I mean a moody drunk is not as dangerous as my sister being around someone who was convicted of throwing a woman into a car and trying to rape her. I understand not leaving us alone with the grandfather if drunk, but never letting us meet him for 7 years? I ask this as I have always felt guilt that I was a kid then and thus caused my Mom to leave her Dad. Yet, I am thinking about it and wondering if my mother just used us as a pawn to get her anger out that her Dad denied his drinking and never got help (he died at 68 from it). So was it most likely just my mother's bias' and anger since a known sex offender is far more dangerous especially around my sister? We'd see the sex offender at her sister's every Thanksgiving and sometimes at Baptisms or 4th of July BBQ's. Any thoughts? Also my mother shares everything under the sun, way too much, so I know there is not more to the story as she shares all the gossip to an extreme.

Her mother has pretty much written her off and plays favorites big tome with her other two kids (a son and a daughter). I'm 19 and my brother is 16. He is extremely lazy and he never usually gets a huge telling off for it and it's driving me insane!!! He leaves wet towels dumped on the bathroom floor, he will leave empty crisp packets, wrappers, banana peels (you name it) on the kitchen counter although we have a PERFECTLY usable bin. He refuses to follow the chores routine and always makes excuses, saying he has to be out the house by 11... 12... or that he 'doesn't know' how to do something. Even when I offer to help him he still makes MORE excuses. He argues with my mum as he's only allowed out until half 10.. (which I think is a perfectly reasonable time for a 16 year old as when I was sixteen I had to come home at 9:30). He also leaves all his clothes, shoes, bags, plates lying about the house. I will always clean up all my things, sure my bedroom is a little messy at times but I never leave any of my belongings lying about and then my parents always reference 'You both need to stop leaving things lying about'. This is driving me crazy!!! It's making me want to move out as he does nothing and gets away with it... what do I do? I'm constantly telling my mum and dad how I feel about this...

When the girls have friends over, whether the children are there for the younger one or older one; the other children usually migrate over to the older one which makes the younger one feel bad. It is particularly difficult for me because the older one has a lot of friends and the younger one does not. As such, I am constantly struggling to find friends to play with the little one; so when I'm lucky enough to have someone around to play with my little one, it drives me a little crazy when the older one takes over the playdate. When I then intervene, asking the older one to include the younger one (in her own playdate), I get accused of favoritism. That said, when the older one has her friends over, of course they want alone time, so they leave the little one out. So the only way I can have a playdate for the little one is to make sure the older one is someplace else for her own play date.

Both of my children are very smart; however my older child is very creative, self-motivated and highly competitive. Conversely, my younger child has difficulty thinking of things to do on her own and doesn't care about competing. It is my speculation that she doesn't care about competing because her older sister has the habit of constantly telling her how everything that she does is somehow better than anything that she could do, so she doesn't even try. This makes me feel bad for the little one. Additionally, because I feel bad for her, I sometimes downplay the accomplishments of my older daughter and may not celebrate her wins as vocally within our immediate family -- although, privately, I'll congratulate her and am always telling my friends and family about all the really amazing things that the older one does. Clearly, my older daughter ends up feeling bad, too, because she just wants to be recognized for her hard work

I am 26. My dad died when I was 8. When he was alive, he had to travel a lot for work, so I didn't get to see him as much as I'd like. When I was in kindergarten, I had my first teacher crush. He was married and his wife had just had their first baby. Even at 5, I was jealous of the wife. All throughout middle school and high school, I developed crushes on teachers or other authority figures. Most of them were married, all were fathers. Once I was out of school, I started getting feelings for other men who were fathers and just happened to be married or committed. It never stops. I have had two affairs technically, one went on for almost a year. His wife knew, but of course I wasn't the only one he was screwing so she couldn't be too mad at me. My friends give me a hard time about having feelings for married men. I've attempted to stop telling them every time there's a new one because I know what they'll say. Tonight some personal stuff happened with my family, my mom kept going in other room to talk to my dad then she would talk to me about what they talked about, now my father is jealous kinda of my relationship with my mom that every time no matter if I'm in the kitchen/upstairs, we're talking he'll turn the tv down or come in the room & be like what are you saying?all the time. Yesterday when I got home from a sleep over it appeared that my dad wasn't home since I assumed he was out somewhere I took off my clothes and went into the kitchen to get some soda,then while I was standing in the kitchen my dad walked in and asked me why I was naked I said that I just like being nude sometimes then he said that he was ok with it and went into his room.

I am 24 years old and I recently moved back in with my parents. But they want to charge me 400 a month for rent, which i think is unfair because I am their daughter and they are supposed to be taking care of me. I have told them that if they charge me rent I will move out and never speak to them again. So do you think it's fair they want to charge me rent?

My sons father decided not to pay for our sons daycare because i wouldnt let him borrow my car . The reason i didnt is because the day before he disrespected me by saying mean things . He hasnt had a car since we met and where we live a car is necessary in order to get around . I have been a single mom throughout my adult daughters' whole childhood. Recently, they came home from college for the summer. Their future stepdad became very obsessed with them - he will always talk about them, want to know where they're going, and even want to be around them. I'm beginning to worry he might want to become more than a father figure to them! They are both 20 year olds and identical twins. He spoils them with concert tickets, alcohol (since they're permitted to drink here in Canada), and offers to give them rides. One of the girls seem to feel slightly nervous around him too. She never told me anything but her body language gets a bit tense around him. I know young adults in college will most likely not tell their parents everything going on in their lives, but I have been trying to ask what he does with them when they're without me. Their replies seem to match what my boyfriend said he was going to do with them. The part about him being 'obsessed' only contributes to my concern. My other concern is my daughters sometimes seem quite tense or rather uncomfortable arouns him, and what makes me worry is that they don't seem to want to talk about it.

She is such a great friend and probably 80% amazing!! She is always there for me and helped me through rough times and is so much fun. But lately she has made a couple of comments about my body. I think she is projecting her own insecurities on to me. But those things actually don't bother me. I still really want to keep her as a friend but I think its becoming a bit competitive and envious. But......I think this is a friendship still worth keeping. What should I do? I also see this trend with me in almost ALL of my close relationships unfortunately : ( They always become like this . I am from an asian society . We own a business in maritime field. Ive been working hard these past years to succeed in all my academics and I did ( By God grace) I am now gng for a diploma and. Degree both . I want to be part of the family business and work and achieve great things together with my small brother ( I am the elder) But whenever my dad talk to people he said proudly , yeah he is my son , i am making him take the same path as me in Maritime as he is the one who will replace me and succeed me one day. I feel so apart ( Im a girl) i study hard as well , I am Not asking to be the only chosen one to replace my dad but I wanted him to atleast say both of us will replace him one day. Sometimes I feel like I'm desperate and I feel that one day Will come where I will go away and find a job elsewhere in another country by my own. It hurts me terribly to hear these. When i want to do a work , my dad treats me as fragile and that I am uncapable of doing what men do. I know my strength and I know there are things i can do. But he treats me like , no this is done by men only , i cannot bring you there as there is only men etc. I think i am badluck as everyone prefer my brother. The hardest part is that i love my brother dearly and that my dad is at fault the way he think disgust me pretty much. I know girls who can do business and succeed . I had absent seizures and they are now grand mal seizures and I am having them back to back to back and it's painful. Do I need to get them checked out or do you think I can keep ignoring it and be fine... I'm not sure the diabetes are what is causing seizures but people say they are, I don't believe everybody.... just saying.

They want us all to be as miserable as they are. My heart goes out to them, no parent should bury a child. My brother was 26 and he had been a mess as a teenager and then gotten his life together at age 23. For three years he was doing good and then he died in a car crash. His recovery from drugs and rage issues are what make his death so tragic. Yet, I can't stop living because he died. I was not terribly close to him as he didn't come around much after his recovery and he was a bad teenager. However, I had certainly forgiven him and he had come a long way. So the problem is though I am an adult living on my own my parents. mainly my mother, get mad whenever I do something I enjoy. They feel I am insensitive to their mourning and not mourning myself. They were furious that I had Christmas with my grandmother and extended family last year and upset I went to my cousin's wedding in April. Now they were mad this weekend that I traveled to the family reunion (just got back). How do I get them to see I need to move on even if they wish not to live life?

My sister is obsessed with The Beatles shes upset because she cant decide who's the cutest. One day it's Ringo next day it's George then Paul then John. It's driving her crazy she doesn't know which is th cute one for a long time it was Ringo now shw changes it everyday. She loves George too. She says it's not fair they all have to be so cute. The only one I like is Paul to me he's the cute one the others annoy me especially Lennon I can't stand him or his bitchy wife. I have a gay crush on Paul though. He's the only one I care about. I hate my father he hit me so much as a kid and never let me speak. He would hit my mom and I would just watch her cry. I grew up with terrible anxiety and wouldn't speak to anyone. He probably even sexually abused me before I could have a clue. He just seems like the kind of person. I don't talk to him. My mom says I used to kill my pets and I know I did but pretend I don't. when I was 14 I started to realize all the horrible things he did weren't right and I started to act out. My mom is a whore and she dates so many guys. She likes abusive men. I pushed her bf because he was beating our dog and he went and told my mom and my mom defended him. I punched my sister in the face over a little thing. Just because she wouldn't pass me the TV remote. I felt really horrible but didn't do anything. A year later when I was 15 i nearly killed her over an argument. If I was holding a knife instead of a dinner plate I would have stabbed her. I was just so angry I couldn't control it and hit her over the head with it and then punched her. I stayed away from my family until senior year when my moms bf was talking **** about me so I confronted my mother who lied right in my face so I beat the **** out of my mom and I blamed everyone but myself. I feel angry remembering all of this I feel extremely guilty. I have not apologized to anyone and physically cant. I almost killed myself a year ago because of relationship problems.i don't know if I should ever apologize

Not only does he constantly call me names, but he is a pig. Whenever he is home, he sits around and complains and just burps and farts all the time and is flat out obnoxious. He is always picking fights with me, my mom, and my little brother for no reason at all. When I pat my dog like most people do, he freaks out and calls me a dog abuser, mind you when we were living at his house he almost threw our senior dog down the stairs because she was barking. My mom also signed me up for horseback riding lessons, which I have wanted to do my whole life. I was so excited, but now I might not be able to because my stepdad keeps trying to keep my mom busy instead of her taking me out to get boots and a helmet. I dont know what to do. If I confront him, I will get in trouble. If tell a family member, they wont believe me, as he always puts on this act so they all think he is mr. nice guy. Ok I feel like this is a dumb question, and I shouldn't be ask this at my age, but I'm seriously starting to get pissed/annoyed and thinking about getting into debt just to move away from home. Anyways, here goes. I'm a 20yr old male, currently a junior in college, and living with my folks just to avoid debt with moving into campus. Anyhow, my brother is still in high school, and you know, I'm just a regular, I swear like anyone else would, but when I do and my mom hears me. My mom is retired and often watches the kids while I work *we pay her* but whenever I need to go to the store or run an errand, she INSISTS on tagging along despite not needing anything at the store. My children are hyper and I cant shop with them *she knows this* so I rarely (if ever) get to grocery shop or do anything and she will come over to my house and stay ALL DAY LONG (lives down the rd), she even stayed all day when I was at work and my husband was here watching the kids despite us hinting for her to go home.
