Question: Is it bad to be innocent? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 05:47 PM PDT I'm 18, just graduated high school and I've never kissed anyone, drank alcohol, snuck out, or basically done anything to disappoint my parents! I don't know. I just see all my friends doing all theses wild things and I'm just here surfing the Internet, reading, staying at home. I feel like there's no one who I can relate with. I just don't like any of those things. I like being innocent! Is that bad?? I feel bad and depressed cause I feel like such a loser for not doing any of those things |

Question: I lost my best friend because he wanted more? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 03:45 PM PDT Long story short, I lost my best friend because I wasn't romantically interested in him. He has a lot of issues (drug abuse being one) and I never judged him for that as a friend, although I encouraged him to make better choices. But he's very unstable, and shouldn't be in a relationship with anyone let alone me. I don't understand how he could throw away a special friendship built on mutual interests just because I wasn't interested in him romantically. It really sucks. How do I get over this quickly and stop reaching out to him to try to make it better? I miss the good times but clearly he doesn't value our friendship as much as he said he did. |

Question: I lost my temper and hit my friend. Now things are horrible How do i fix it?!!? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 02:28 PM PDT Long story short....i was at a friends house, and one of my friends (chris) said a comment against me which everyone knew i was sensitive too. Then everyone made fun of me non stop for adleast 10 minutes. They made fun of me by saying rumors Chris spread around my school. Chris would never say those things to my face but he spread rumors around my school which made it hard for me. Rumors like, "He could beat me up", "Hes better than me at sports", "im stupid". Kids in school and on my sports team made fun of me and others in school. but that night in my friends house i lost it when they said that Chris beat me up. I charged him and grabbed him by the neck and held him against the wall. Not hard, there was no injury whatsoever, i told him that "You never beat me up so stop saying so". I let him go and sat back down. He laughed at me and then everyone continued to make fun of me. So after 2 minutes i went at him again this time i pinned him on the ground. My friends pulled me off of him and he ran home. I knew that what i did was wrong and it wasnt like me so i apologized sincerly to him and his parents. Problem is that now my family sees me as a violent person. I am not that person. How do i fix this. PLEASE HELP! |

Question: How to remove yourself from a toxic person? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 12:16 PM PDT I loaned my ex co worker $50 two weeks before I resigned. The person was going through a crisis and needed money to get kids and self back and forth to work. The person is not good managing money. The person promised me they would pay me back, but never did. I never did get a phone call about paying me back . I dropped it and moved on with my life. Ive at my new job for 4months. All of the sudden this person calls me out of the middle of nowhere where and tells they re about to be fired. Me being a nice person tells the person I can put in a recommendation at my job. This person had me on the phone for hours talking negative about life. Not one time did the person mentioned anything about the money I loaned. This person want my address to come over my house to receive help to write a resume and is very demanding don t care that I have to cook for my children and husband and get ready for work.and wants things done NOW and sucks the life out of me. I m seriously thinking about changing my phone number. How can I remove myself from the situation? |

Posted: 30 Jul 2017 12:00 PM PDT It seems that we look to avoid various method to communicate. I phone a friend leave voice message no returned call, I message friend on Facebook, no return message, I text friend, same thing. It seems we are better at avoiding communication than making use of such to enhance and communicate better. Individuals seem to rather message then dial 10 digit to hear the voice along with the depth of emotions which text can't convey. I am one to talk while organizing books, exercising, or washing dishes, always ready for a good phone conversation. I guess I am a dinosaur? |

Question: Why did they post such a bad picture of me? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 11:22 AM PDT Last Friday I had some friends over at my house to swim. They're really big on social media so all day they were taking pictures and snapping. Out of all the pictures they took one of my friends posted a real ugly one of me....but the two of them look good. I have to say I'm pretty upset about it. What should I do? |
Posted: 30 Jul 2017 11:10 AM PDT We haven't seen each other for a year, and are planning to meet each other for a month, and still didn't do it. In the weekend I have to be away from the city with my parents, but when I came back, she seems super busy with projects, fitness etc... Okay. She invited me to the project one day and I couldn't come cause it was my dad's b-day, proposed to meet the next afternoon. She said ok, but then canceled cause the next day she had a test. She said that she would call me on Saturday. All day wondered if she'd call, she didn't (knowing that I told her that on Sunday I leave the country). I texted her on fb at like 5 pm, had a reply when it was already late. Meanwhile on instagram I find a picture of her with another person. So they got time to meet and magically "sync" two times on same period when we couldn't meet. WTF?! So what am I supposed to do now? The whole time when I was away she was telling me she can't wait to see me, I guess it was fake. |

Question: Did I do the right thing to not make a comment? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 09:48 AM PDT I am a guy intern at a company. My good friend Ann is also an intern at the company. One day Ann's mom came buy to pick her up from work and Ann introduced me to her mom. We had a brief conversation before they left. Ann's mom seemed to me to be a very nice person. The next day a work Ann asked me if I saw anything unusual about her mom. I did. Her mom had the biggest boobs I had ever seen. However there was no way I was going to say that to Ann. I just said "your mom is unusually beautiful". I though I had dodged a bullet by not saying anything about her mom's boobs. Giving this more thought I think Ann wanted me to say something about her mom's unusual boob size. But what could I say? Did I do the right thing to not comment about boob size? |
Question: Roommate taking advantage of the Situation? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 09:23 AM PDT There's four of us to an apartment. However, one roommate isn't contributing to anything at all. She's gone for a few interviews, but since they're not what she wants to do, she gave up on them. It's been several months since she's moved in, and she still remains jobless. She doesn't seem willing to look either, as she spends most of the day playing video games. She clearly taking advantage of our roommates covering for her. On top of that, she sleeps in until the afternoon, and gets upset when we don't do her chores for her. I'm at the end of my rope. I want to give her an ultimatum, but my roommates are closer to her than I am, and I very much doubt that would fly. Any advice to get her off the computer and start contributing to our bills and rent? |
Question: Someone likes me as a person because "I'm hard to get to know"...what does that even mean? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 09:14 AM PDT A friend was just talking about another friend from work. She said "She likes you because you're blunt and hard to get to know". I obviously understand the meaning of the phrase. But: 1) How is that even a likable characteristic? The mystery? 2) We joke a lot, and she's even been quite flirty (yes we're both female). Not sure why she'd feel like this. She wants to get to know me more but feels I have some boundary up? Don't ever recall her trying to ask me personal questions. |
Posted: 30 Jul 2017 09:13 AM PDT So after 4 years it's over. What would you do if a friend told you that? I'm know for a fact that our friendship can't continue because of this and the fact that we went out for a week. It's best to move on but what after? Search for another girl or stay single and take care of myself? |
Question: Is it ok for a friend to laugh at you? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 08:34 AM PDT I have a friend who many times laughs when I say I want to do or I did or smth and when I ask why he would laugh he says „What do you want me to do? Cry?'. Sometimes, he says he laughs because it seems stupid and that I should rather do that and that instead. However, when I try to suggest something to him, he would say that he doesn't like people to tell him what to do. |
Question: Do highschool parties become more frequent and more open in sophomore year? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 08:24 AM PDT I m going to be a sophomore next year. I m a girl, borderline popular and fairly attractive. At my high school a smallish group of kind of messed up kids throw and go to parties but not really my friend group. Most of my friends aren t really partyers meaning some drink or smoke on occasion but don t go to parties all the time. I ve never been to a party before but I want to go to one. All I m looking for is reassurance that in sophomore year, the house parties will become more frequent and more open to more people (so that I can go to them). How do you hear about them and invite yourself or get invited? Snapchat? |

Question: My best friend of six years and I got into a bad fight. How to fix it? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 03:06 AM PDT My best friend and I have been together for years now. We helped each other out of bad situations and kept each other going. I loved him like my brother. We do have our gripes though. He tends to see me as pessimistic or too emotional at times and I tend to see him as unable to understand other people's problems and outright tactless. We got into a small petty argument about something stupid and then we started raising our voices. He said he didn't want to talk and I said I'm going home. He told me, "go ahead then you deaf, suicidal pussy mother ******," (I have a genetic condition in which I'm losing my hearing and I have a history of depression, which he never could understand). I turned around and said, "yeah well at least my dad loves me," (his dad only talks to him about becoming a lawyer, never really cares about him as a person according to him). He throws a bottle at my neck and I run towards him as he runs to his car. I get close, he swings, I grab his fist, throw him on to the ground and with one hand began choking him with pure anger as he tried to get me off. I am at least twice his strength. I was squeezing his neck for a good five seconds before I saw his eyes narrow with terror as he was passing out. I got scared, let go of him and got off. As he coughed and gasped for air violently he looked at me with a tear and walked away. I feel so bad. I am angry at him but I feel so horrible. I couldn't sleep at all last night and I'm disgusted with myself. |

Question: I need help amd I don't know where else to turm? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 02:12 AM PDT I am in love with my best friend. **** I am in love with her. Shes been a great friend of mine for about 3 years and to see her happy makes me so happy. I care about her so much, but she doesn't feel the same way. This happened a year ago, she rejected me after I told her how I feel. It took me a year to repair the friendship, but now all the feelings are back and I am back to being crazy about her. If she finds out how I feel, I will loose her and I don't think she will come back this time. I don't want her out of my life but I can't feel this way, because she will leave my life if I keep feeling this way about her. What do I do. |
Question: Why does my cousin not talk to me anymore? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 02:10 AM PDT I'm 19 almost 20 in college and work and my cuzIn is 17 or 18 in highschool, we used to be bestfriends and in school I was so shy I couldn't make friends.we r both girls. When she started highschool and I was working she ignored me and wouldn't want to talk to me. She would just talk and be nice with my older brother. On Christmas she was talking to me in a rude way and we fought through text and she said don't get mad at me since I'm your only friend and with that I cursed at her n blocked her from everyhing. We haven't talked since. My few friends that I have had never have told me anything like that to put me down and instead understand my shyness and are my true friends. What should I do? Iv always just had guy friends, girls always are mean to me same thing st work girls just gossip and I'm just doing my own thing working but guys are nice to me, y? I think it's jealousy. Question: Why do i get away with this? Posted: 30 Jul 2017 12:35 AM PDT I'm a male, 18, who is reserved when it comes to girls. I'm nervous around them all the time. Growing up I've been teased at by relatives and people in school. Often I would just think about girls I like when stressed over homework or home life. Whenever a Victoria's Secret magazine came into the mail, I'd get nervous about being caught glancing at it for a second. Never am I allowed to have posters on my wall in my room. One day I snapped and began to loosen up and not care. I started flipping through the pages of the vs mag and then leaving it elsewhere in the house. Kinda like I'm saying that I notice these girls. They in malls at the vs store and on tv being seen by everyone. I use the main pc a lot but it belongs to my mom. I don't know why I got comfortable putting vs lingerie girls on the screen but I do. After awhile of vs girls, i moved onto this girl. Im white and my family despise other races dating. What kind of body type is she you think? https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/08/ef/02/08ef0289dbf7176d6a0d8acd82077f8c.jpg https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/2a/68/ec/2a68ec3560d6c68388011191082a9d3e--fitness-girls-big-basket.jpg to my surprise i was not yelled at for leaving this picture up.. http://boobliks.ru/uploads/posts/2016-11/1479126474_kym_mai_1_010.jpg |
Question: What should I do about my best friend? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 11:52 PM PDT So, recently my best friend hurt her other friend a lot, she took away her crush that she knew she had liked and had become romantically involved with him under the influence. They aren't friends anymore, she did apologize multiple times and had been forgiven but eventually everyone found out and hates her for it, even people that don't know her and my siblings. She's been my best friend for a while and I'm not really sure how to react or what to do, my friends and siblings continuously tell me she's a bad person and she's fake, even though I talked with her about it and she seemed genuinely very sorry and upset and learned from her mistake, it's very confusing and I'm not sure how to handle it all. What should I do? |
Posted: 29 Jul 2017 11:49 PM PDT I just wish I had someone to vent to. I don't like venting to my parents because they are older and don't need to hear my whining. I don't vent to friends because I don't want to burden them and I don't vent to other family members because they either laugh or don't pay attention. |
Question: Going to be alone with my married friend..? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 11:38 PM PDT I have this married friend. I am 26, he's 37. I've known him for a little over a year, as he used to be my boss. I couldn't stand him for a while, but when I allowed myself to get to know him, I developed feelings for him. He was always pretty flirty with me, but it was really obvious his last few days of working there with me. After he got a new job and left, he started inviting me to his church. Our mutual (guy) friend comes with us most of the time. I've been going for 2 months now. Lately, we've been carpooling it. A couple of weeks ago, my crush was giving me and our friend a ride home from church when he decided to take us out to lunch and he paid for us. He also took the long way home when it came to dropping me off (I got dropped off first because he lives closer to my friend than me). Tomorrow, my crush has to work after church and said he'd be unable to take us both home and get back in time for work so he's planning on having somebody else take our friend home and he's going to take me home. This means being alone with him, but only for 10 minutes. Is this a bad idea? Sure, we flirt, but I don't think anything is going to happen. Anonymous, we haven't exactly been alone outside of work before so he has had no chance to make any "moves". Yes I am very attracted to him. When we're around each other, he always finds an excuse to touch me..whether a high five or a handshake. One time, he was trying to put a box back under a counter and I was standing in the way. Instead of saying "Excuse me" to get me to move, he poked my crotch area with the corner of the box until I moved over. I didn't think much of it at the time. He's never hesitant about getting into my personal space bubble and doesn't mind me in his. Yes, Rebecca, you can email me. Alymorr00@yahoo.com (not real name or anything) |
Posted: 29 Jul 2017 10:51 PM PDT I told her a million times that I don't and she was like "a sweet man like you, really, am I supposed to believe that?" She actually seems to be distancing herself from me lately. Why? |
Question: Help my friends depression? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 10:42 PM PDT I have a friend. He s been through a lot growing up and now he s all alone. He works all day. Question: Does my mom sound really fixated on college? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 10:26 PM PDT When I was in 7th grade, my teacher sent me to the counselor. She was very concerned that I kept asking questions related to clubbing, drinking, and bars. She thought I was asking because I planned on doing those things. In reality, my mom talked about adult life so much that it couldn't get out of my head. *please note that I'm from Canada so the things I describe might be different from the US* so I'm 15 and even to my 9 and 12 year old brothers get those talks! Another teacher besides my grade 7 one was concerned as well. She asked if there was something i'm scared of when I become an adult. She even tried getting me to stop talking about anything considered "age-inappropriate" or college related. My mom talks about it EVERY day and I'm serious about it. She even asked me to ask my friends about college applications, which college is the best for what subject, and so on. I'm not even in 10th grade yet. Once she told me not to spend much time playing on the phone or something because I have to worry about college. I don't spend much time online, and she makes everything about college. No, the teachers at school haven't talked about after high school plans yet. I go to a grades 8-12 school so we have five years of it. I'd like to spend those years enjoying my teenage years. Does my mom sound really obsessed? |
Question: How to tell my friend that I'm not okay with meeting others she know? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 10:03 PM PDT Help me revise this statement to my close friend to be honest with her- Honestly... no group sessions because I don't like doing things with others I don't know or feel awkward/nervous. I've been a independent person since 2003 & like being with someone I can trust & truly won't A) blow me off over some dumb excuses; B) give me some excuse to have no interest of meeting me in person, C) talk about politics or sports [except for the RAVENS, BULLS, ORIOLES or LINDSEY VONN] & D) be interested in the same things I'm into- Game Shows, movies, art, videos, shopping, beach, photography, eating out, etc. I'm aware of my disabilities that you know & so are some others I know. Just like it traditional and not into chatting with members you know from church or watching movies like "Divergent". When that happens, I'll exit myself from the group and get upset, isolate myself or go walking & stay alone until I finally have my time with you. Same for planning your 40th birthday, I want to do some cool stuff with you but not be involved with whomever got going on with you. I know that I'm defensive & will retaliate if anyone talk negative stuff about you. At least I know quite a lot about you & remember your birthday & you understand me [damn in - sorry]. I'm not perfect, but I do know I am afraid of "changes" & losing those I care & love again. This is me with my friend of 13 years [seen below]. How can I sum this up & straight to the point, please? |
Question: These dumbassea won't stop drinking? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 09:47 PM PDT So there are these two kids visiting my church from Italy. One of them is frequent user of weed and alcohol and the other rarely uses it but still uses it excessively when she does. Really to get to the point I'm concerned that this has gotten way too serious for the first guy. I've tried talking him out of it, saying how he could get in serious trouble because he's under age but his attitude is just "screw it I like it so it's good for me" really to get to the point I'm not sure if I should just let them go on and learn it in time or if I should step in and tell the person they're staying with. |

Question: I'm a grown woman and I don't have any friends? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 09:23 PM PDT I'm 29 years old and I've struggled with making friends since pre-teen days. It started in school, when I was around 10, when I noticed the girls I thought were my friends distanced themselves from me. I would literally spend every recess and lunch on my own, wandering around, feeling like a fool. Then high school happened and nothing changed. My entire first year there, I was a loner - or a professional loner - and would spend recess and lunch walking around on my own while I saw other teens in their circles, even were dating, and having sleepovers. I talked to some girls and managed to attend one birthday party during my school years. Less than a year later, those girls ditched me and I was on my own again. Then university happened and I, having just turned 18, STILL couldn't find a circle or group to fit into. My mum became worried and sometimes gave me a hard time for not being "friendly and mature enough" although I'm sure this wasn't the reason. I guess there was something about me that people my age didn't like? Whether it's my appearance or weight or way of talking? Through out my 20s, I managed to make some online friends from overseas and went on some dates arranged online - and my most furthest away friends would often say they wished they could hang out with me in person. If it wasn't for the internet, I'd have no social life at all. |
Posted: 29 Jul 2017 09:14 PM PDT so i still love my friends but there was drama and things are a bit weird now. nothings like the way it was. i think i would have more fun at maybe another table with my other friends at lunch but that would mean i would have to leave my "squad" who i have been with all of high school. its senior year this year so im very conflicted. and im afraid leaving my squad for my other friends would hurt my friendships with my squad, especially because theres already some tension. what would you do? (also- if things are too complicated i dont even have to have lunch with anyone/- my schedule allows me to go home for lunch- but that would be less fun) |

I wonder why. any ideas? |

I love her to death but i find myself being jealous of her. Everyone has always liked her more than me it has always been always JULIA and her friend and i guess i've never really noticed that until recently. everyone we meet likes her better and i'm just the tag along she so much more prettier than me, she's skinnier than me better at volleyball and i'm just jealous. I hate saying this stuff it makes me sound like a bad friend and a mean person. I don't want to feel jealous of her. Is it bad to feel jealous? how do i not feel so jealous? |
