Lately my daughter has been doing a lot of questionable things. I have been trying too see my grand kids for the last few weeks. So today she told me it was a good day to see the kids. I get to her house and she tells me that the kids are with the other grandparents for the next 20 days. Of course I'm not happy because she just lied to me and I drove an hour too see them. But what really pissed me off was that she and her husband were high as a kite. So I get on Facebook and the kids are not with the other grandparents. It's like she and her husband like pushing their kids on to other people so they won't have to deal with them. I'm just really fed up. When my daughter stops returning my calls I know she is up to something no good. Im concerned! It's not only this but she recently got a $30,000 inheritance check from my dad who recently passed away a few months ago and she blew right through that money in 2 months by buying nonsense. She and her husband act like big kids and should have never had children. I kept telling her that it is not a joke. I'm I over reacting? Anyone been in a situation like this?

I have been on & off with this man for almost a year. We live together. He's always been controlling and little rough, but never like he has been in the past few weeks. Within these weeks, he's choked me several times, thrown me across the room, pushed me countless times, slapped me, thrown things at me, busted my lip and nose, left numerous marks on me, whipped me with the blind switch. I'm afraid of what he might do if he does. He said it's possible to charge him with family violence, impeding breathing, bc he choked me. That's a third degree felony in texas. I'm confused and I need advice.

We have been struggling for many years, until about 1.5 years ago hubby and i both finally landed good, full-time jobs. things were finally getting decent and i was happy until february, when hubby lost his job. then in april i lost mine... hubby s unemployment comes to an end very soon, and money is tight enough as it is. we are about to lose everything. we have a 7 year old who we want to give the world to, but we cannot find jobs to save our lives right now. we dont want to lose our apartment. dss wont help because we make pennies above their monthly limit. we have cut EVERYTHING out. we have run out of savings. we spent 1000 on our car last month and now it needs work again?! i am at my end now. i am so scared. i am interviewing everywhere but just not finding anything. what options do i have? any? if i wait until we have no income coming in to qualify for help from dss, we will lose everything else by then. i need other options. i dont want to ask for hand outs. are there any sort of guaranteed jobs anywhere these days!? i want to go back to school but there are fees TO REGISTER to BE ABLE TO APPLY?! which you then have to pay AGAIN to apply after having paid to register...... i need ideas from anyone who s been in my situation before. please. as you can imagine our credit has gone down considerable in about 5 months... we have almost nothing. i am applying to multiple jobs daily. we have no help from anyone. if we lose our home, where do we go with a child?!

Since we cannot forsee the future and almost all of us has known of someone that has had the rug pulled out from under them when their spouse changed their mind about the whole marriage idea 10 years into the marriage. Example: 10 years into the marriage husband did not want to work anymore and just stay home and play video games while wife worked to support them. She paid their mortgage building a nice equity and also put away a significant amount in her retirement account while he built nothing. Or 5 years and 3 kids into the marriage husband has built a nice career and home, but wife no longer allows sex and the house is a mess. Why should these disaster scenarios be called 50/50 by a State? Wouldn't a pre nup stating the expectations of what the couple had of each other be a good idea in a state with no fault divorce. It does not have to be looked at as if the marriage is a sure fail, but rather just state expectations so each are forced to actually WORK at keeping their marriage together. I think people stop caring and don't work at it anymore and often the wrong person ends up paying.

I have this uncle and I don't see him that often but he is getting divorced after 28 years of marriage. He is leaving his wife for sobriety (both are alcoholics) instead of going sober and working to help her go sober as well. His kids feel betrayed and I don't blame them though obviously none of it is any of my business. I just think it is so rare to be getting divorced this late into the marriage. He even has two grandkids. Maybe things will work out and the wife will agree to get help but she is the type that will likely let him leave and then teach the grown children to hate him. So I am just wondering if this is incredibly rare or if it is only a little less common then divorce in the first 15 years.

20 year relationship. Married 13 years ofnit. We have 2 children, ages 10 and 7. Now he was losing focus on his job, dropped out of college this semester, and other weird stuff. He recently got a dui, first offense...but alcohol with cocaine/benzodiazepines. He could get rehab and probation. I'm so upset and disappointed. I am considering divorce. What would you do?

Rather than complaining to another woman about her problems ? i met two married women that have decided to use me to listen to their drama about how their husbands treat them etc i see no point is such relationship cause it will never be anything more than that. but what i dont understand is why doesnt a woman discuss her problems ( or perceived problems ) to a fellow woman ?

F was diagnosed with Bi Polar disorder some 20 years ago. She has in recent years stopped taking any medication. F's response to my trial separation request was to immediately hook up with a guy 22 years her junior who still lived with his parents.
