I'm just so embarrassed by what happened last night. I'm an 18 year old boy in university. I went to a house party yesterday with some friends and there were a lot of people there. One of my friends pointed out a couple who were hooking up on a couch, and told me the girl went to our college, while the boy was a 15-year old who had just gotten into high school. The girl was hot, and a little while later I went to up to her and started flirting. We were getting on well, when the boy she was with came along and told me, aggressively, to back off. I wasn't going to obey a high-school kid, so I shot back: It's okay, son, you can hold hands with her after she gives me a bj. I just wanted to provoke him since I thought the kid wouldn't want a confrontation with me, and be forced to walk away. He was tall and lanky, but I could probably take him. But out of nowhere, he swung his right hand and gave me such a hard slap across my face that my ears rang. He looked so angry that I became scared, so I just stood there with my hand on my slapped cheek, almost frozen in shock. Everyone was watching now. He then gave me a backhand slap across the face, bursting my lip open as it started to bleed. I felt so embarrassed I started to cry while he grabbed me by the collar and threw me out of the house. I have never been this humiliated and I can't stop thinking about what happened. I still have a cut on my lip and bruises on my face. Since he's technically a child, can I do something?

Hi. I have this best friend and we ve been friends for 10 years. We like never argue and she s always amazing to hang out with. I was so excited for my birthday party and so was she. I noticed even before the party she seemed to want to help set it up which was odd.. Although I already had a theme picked out she wanted to make it HER way. I thought that was rude but I ignored it. When all of my friends were hanging out with me she acted SOOO left out and wanted to be the center of attention. Any time someone wasn t talking to her she would get mad. Everyone got so annoyed with her and after the party I literally had to apologize for her behavior. She made me so angry and upset she ruined my party all because she doesn t know how to act right. What do I do? I decided to tell her I need a break because she is so negatively effecting me.

I snitched on 2 kids at school cuz I was worried about them (they were depressed) and I had to let the school know. Now all my other friends are siding with them, and they won't let me hang out with them. I hang out with them anyway, but they report me whenever I hang out with them. I feel like I'm exiled. My favourite subjects at school are music and drama. I also like history class. Im pretty good at French class, but it's not my favourite class. My friends are dark, sad and depressed. One of the kids I snitched on is sadness personified, and she always used to say that she wanted to die and rot in a hole, but my friends are watching her now. There are a few guys that are always telling me to go away and yelling at me, but I always fight back with a comeback. A few kids think I was hitler in a past life, but I like everyone. Well, everyone except this guy I sit next to in maths. I hate him. Was he my enemy in a past life? He is always throwing my stuff around and he says bad things about me behind my back. Ive have never had real friends before. In school i had alot of people who liked me and would talk and laugh with me but were not my friends, they never chose to be around me. Im now 24 and still cant find friends. I have tried so much but nobody wants anything to do with me. Nobody seems to care that im here or i exist. Even my own relative and cousins dont care about me. They wont answer my phone calls or respond to my texts.They wont even hug me, they just wave when i see them. I have a very hard time emotionally because i get treated like im dead already. I have asked 7 girls on a date in the past year and they all say they have boyfriends, but i know that is a lie, they're just like everyone else. I dont know whats wrong with me! I always get depressed over this and get suicidal. I dont really want to die but i dont know what else to do. I have tried to reach out and ive tried to talk with people but noone will listen.

My friend lives with me. She lost her house so I gave her a place to stay. No one else would do this for her. She had no income and still doesn't, but when she got a check my wife and I made her pay rent for as long as the money held out. Anyway, when she moved in, she also brought an like imitation Wooten desk. It was made in probably the 1920's. It is the only thing she has of any value. On day I got creative and turned a lava lamp upside down on top of the desk. About 2 - 3 months later she noticed the stuff inside the lava lamp had leaked out all over the top of her desk. My wife and I have a monthly income, and we know she lives off only $200 per month. We no longer ask her for rent either. She says if we were truly her friend that we would pay to have it fixed. I told her it was an accident, and it is her desk. She didn't have room in her bedroom to put it in there so it ended up out in the living room. I say she is wrong that we owe her nothing. She owes us more in rent, so we feel she should fix it herself. This is what we get for helping a friend out. No respect.

I met a guy at college at the end of March. For the rest of the semester (ended in May), we started seeing each other a lot and getting to know each other. This was easy then considering we lived a 2 minute walk away. We went over intentions from the very beginning and he told me how bad his last relationship was. Because of this, he is very cautious about who he talks to. He said he wasn't necessarily looking for a relationship but he wanted to be friends, get to know each other, and see where it went. I told him I'm looking for a relationship, but I am in no rush so I was ok with this. I think it's better to form a friendship first anyway. Although we're "friends" it has felt like more most of the time. Cuddling, making out, getting a kiss goodbye when I went to visit last month, etc. My only concern is that ever since he went back to work, we have barely been communicating. The beginning of the summer was great but now my biggest fear of drifting apart seems to be happening. Once he went back, we went a week without talking, then I reached out and the convo was totally normal. Went another 9 days without talking, I reached out this past weekend and we talked for hours, both agreed we should hang out soon, etc. But it never used to be just me initiating convos. I'm just lost. Do I give up and hope things go back to normal when school starts? Or keep doing what I'm doing?

Im friends with this girl. She used to make hurtful 'jokes' about how I look and the clothes I wore she would always say 'I bet you got that from an expensive shop like you always do. Other times she would take a bad picture of me in class and show it round the table to everyone. When I stood up and did a presentation she was sniggering and whispering to this guy and when I sat back down she turned round in her seat and glared at me for ages. Sometimes she would be really nice to be and would compliment my appearance saying I look like celebrity and then saying 'it's a compliment because she's gorgeous' but then other times she would put me down and make fun of the way I looked. One time she splashed me with water and then said 'it's because your dirty' One time I took a picture with the boys in our year and put it on Facebook and I was in the middle of the picture and a week later she uploaded a picture of her with the boys and she was standing in exactly the same place in the middle and the photo was taken in the same place as mine. I went to a party the other day and this same girl who was there told me that a boy spread a rumour about me that I never shaved and I was hairy. Then at the end when I left and it was just me and her she said 'by the way you look great today' I remember I once told her before that I was self conscious about the hair on my legs. Why did she tell me a really horrible thing that someone else said about me a year ago?

my friend had finance a car for his girlfriend like a year ago but they broke up months ago and the car is in his name , she had defaulted 4 months and has moved to another state what will be the best thing to do, have the car repossessed? pay the bank? but how to get the car back?

I've always wanted to babysit. I have tons of younger siblings (who my parents have left me with before), so I'm experienced. I'm also CPR and First Aid certified. I will be 14 in a few months. My friend (mom'a friend's daughter who I have to hang out with) is an only child, younger than me, always on her phone when she's watching kids, and is also CPR and First Aid certified. Our original plan was to babysit together, but she changed her mind for some reason. After the CPR class, she posted something on Facebook that she was ready to babysit. A few weeks later, I posted about it. Neither one of us got responses. I just posted something yesterday morning with all my info. Two hours later, she posted something and got tons of responses. I don't know what to do. She's stealing my dream away, and when I ask if we can work together, she says no. How do I get a babysitting job when one of my friends is trying to compete?

All of the people out here dresses the same, Acts the same, talks the same way and physically looks alike. There isn't any variety at all, I try to hang with them and it is not long until I get grouped bullied by them for being 'different' or they try to beat me up for being 'nerdy' The people out here keeps accusing me of being different or nerdy. They even move their hand up and down across their chest and rock back and fourth hounding insults at me. Or try to beat me up for being 'the little nerdy guy'. I started to make things clear for them and told them that I didn't go to your alls schools but from ones out of this district, and then they tell me to go back where I came from. 27 year old, recently single.. so i went out on a date w/ a guy, had a good time we talked quite a bit. He even text me shortly after that he had a great time hadn't talked that much on a first date in forever and he wanted to set up a 2nd one. So the next day he invited me over, we hung out. Did end up kissing but nothing more. HE even mentioned going bowling together, more than once and as I left as well. He wanted me to go fishing with him the next day but I had to work! I said Happy 4th and got nothing back. 2 days later and nope nothing back. So what in the world did I do wrong? I know he isnt too busy because he added me on facebook before we met and it shows him as active

My best friend and I had a fight because basically she didn't even bother to wish me a happy bday, and it upset me, when i confronted her she said that she forgot, but that's a lie because she's on facebook 24/7 and there's a notification, also I talked to her about it the previous night, after confronting her more, she said that she was busy instead, and that was a lie too because before i confronted her she sent me screenshots of funny convos with her girlfriend (she's gay) , we had a fight and I told her that she hurt me, I usually make her bday shiny, I get her gifts i can't manage to afford, i throw parties for her and I am the 1st one who surprises her with a bday msg, after the fight we didn't talk for 3 days now, and it's killing me, part of me says she didn't mean it and the other one says that she did because I noticed that when it comes to other's bdays, she actually plans things for them, what should I do? should I wait? should I text?

I know it's the thought that counts...but for my birthday (which was 2 days ago) she got me some sale clothes (prices were included. one which even had a makeup stain on it) and a cheap hollister body spray that has a "$3.99" sticker stick to it. Not to mention the clothes she got me are all in a size M when I'm a size XS. Her birthday is later this week and I feel like I spent 3x as much as she did on me on her. She's also REALLY wealthy (like, her parents own 3 $4mil homes in Santa Monica), so her being like this for gifts is kind of irking me. Idk, please don't make a paragraph about how I'm a horrible friend and how it's the thought that counts. I know it is the effort that should be recognized...but I feel like sometimes it's better to not give a gift at all than gifts that can possibly be insulting. What do you guys think?

So my ex best friend told me that she once said she didn't want to hear my life story-but since it was my ex best friend I'm not sure I should believe it. However. My best friend got upset and kinda mad when I did it before. She would tell me I would and could only stop if I really wanted to-she also took away ANYTHING sharp and told me to clean the cuts. I get regularly made fun of because I like to befriend kids in special education to make them feel accepted and I also volunteer my time at a injured/old pet adoption facility after school and girls from my school throw rocks at me from the school bus and laugh at me when I'm on my way there after class, usually I am with one of my friends from special ed and we go to the pet facility and bring along his pet dog who only has 3 legs and is blind in one eye. I'm not the most attractive or popular guy, I'd say I'm just average, but everyone especially girls make fun of me all the time and I don't know why. I was voted most likely to shoot up the school as a joke.... it makes me depressed.

An old acquaintance of mine whom I knew 6-7 years ago recently asked if I'd like to get coffee with her sometime soon. We were never really friends per se, more like friendly to each other. I haven't heard from her for probably 5 years, so I was a bit surprised at her offer! I think it would be nice to get acquainted, but I'm terrible at both starting and carrying on conversations. I was sick of being bullied all throughout middle school so when I joined high school I decided to do something about it. There was a new boy in our neighborhood that had autism, he was homeschooled because his parents knew if he attended public school he would get bullied incessantly. He was the perfect bullied victim, I came up with a plan, I craftily formed a fake friendship with him & convinced his mom to cancel his homeschooling. As he entered school, he indirectly shifted the target off of my back and plastered it onto himself. His parents cannot afford to get him back to the homeschooling program he was in, Thus he is forced to live a miserable high school life, and I am now spared from the abuse. I bragged to my mom about how easily manipulative I was and she called me a "dirty coward" for what I did and told me to defend that kid the first thing the next day or I would get grounded. I didn't do it, but I escaped punishment through a stroke of pure luck due to that boy telling my mom that I defended him, in hopes that I would be his friend again. However, I did not become friends with him and said it was nothing personal, but if I was I would get bullied too. Everything ended so peacefully for me. It has been four years since high school and I am in college, doing well. I googled the autistic boy and discovered he became a loser in life. He is now a criminal and he blames it all on the bullies. I am starting to feel a little bad about what I did, was it wrong?

I had a bully in high school who would relentlessy torment me, she used to give me wedgies and pull down my pants in front of boys. Hey everyone! To start things off, I'm a 17yo (F) high school student dealing with a bit of a weird situation, and as this is going to be a serious question, I'd really appreciate serious answers in return. Ever since I stated going to a different high school than my childhood fiends, I've started to lose touch with other people my age. Like, I have friends from school and yeah, you can say that we're somewhat close.. but we don't spend ANY time together outside of classes. We just chat or video-call from time to time and that's it. I spend most of my days home, watching TV shows and having fun with my family, and I enjoy that, but then again, I don't really socialize with anyone else and just recently started to notice some effects of it - I went to cousin's bday party last night, who invited tons of his friends from school which I don't know, and I literally had to leave 40 minutes in because I couldn't handle the pressure of not knowing or talking to anyone. I tried to get those friends from my school to hang out, but most of them "don't have time" or got other plans such as family vacations. I want to get back out there and meet new people, but it just seems impossible to do it when you're all by yourself. It's especially hard during summer, as everyone is off doing there own thing outside while I'm scrolling through Instagram and liking their pictures. Are these signs of an antisocial person, or am I just not trying enough?

So today my Mom got a crossbow and I freaked out because I was afraid I would use it to hurt myself or someone else with it. She tried to assure me that she'd keep the crossbow and the bolts separate and hidden where I couldn't find them, but I continued to cry knowing that if I did, she'd get rid of it, and that's exactly what she did. It's currently in it's box ready to ship back. Why do I do this? Why do I ruin everything for everyone? I ruined the trip to Disney World that my senior class took just by being there. I ruined the short story my first grade class wrote by giving it a conflict. I ruined my parents lives just by being born. I hate this! Why do I ruin everything?

Okay so I've been in a school for 10 years(im13) and I've never tried being the one who doesn't know anybody. I got used to be the person who's alway had friends scince first grade. So I'm on a vacation with a friend down the beach. We're close, known each other for years, but we drifted for a while so it's not as active as our friendship used to be. So we're hanging out, and the entire time, my friend I originally came here with is just talking to our mutual friend. I'm almost completely ignored.. They're walking together, and I'm forced to walk behind them. I sit down, and they sit in a chair away from me.. I just don't even see the point of me being here anymore. It's obvious my original friend likes our mutual friend way more than me and wishes she was here all the time instead and couldn't care if I was here or not.. They always do this and I'm just feeling so rejected and ignored.. Help for coping? Advice..?

My ex and I were together for 4 years until he broke up with me last month. My friend (that my ex introduced me too) never invited me anymore now that my ex broke up with me. My ex and I used to always get together with her friends when we were a couple. This friend also knows I'm not supposed to have contact with my ex yet.. But I feel miserable being at home and have no one to hang out with. I see all of them having fun when they used to invite me. It's not fair that my ex gets to enjoy himself during the break up while I don't get invited to anything. Should I be mad?

So I used to be close friend with this girl,we're both from the same country and in our late 20's, and she's kinda shallow and has hard time making her mind. We used to take some classes together , and we'd always talk and she used to say that I'm innocent and easy to talk to. One of my friends ( i consider him an ex friend ) is a player and he started to try to get into her pants. then he started saying that he'd tell her that i love her, to make me look awkward when I'm with her. So i started distancing myself from her and that player friend who tried to use me to keep her around and talk about me. There is this guy who we're very close.He's a nerd and kinda submissive to girls in an extreme way, and girls use him a lot. He'd keep what girls tell him from you while sharing all your stuff with them. He did that before with him exgf whom humiliated him in every way possible. Now this girl and her player friend became curious why did i cut them , so they started hanging out with him. he hides that from me, but i feel like he believes whatever they tell him about me. I wanna share my side of story. If i start talking about girls from my country he'd have that weird smile and if i ask him why he's smiling he'd say nothing. She doesn't like hm but she's hanging out with him to dig for my imperfections. I feel this close friend is wrong to hide that from me while talking about me to them .If we're on train I'd always catch him looking at me with smile on his face which is very awkward . He also gets jealous if girls are flirting with me then later might make it seem i was flirting with them.
