Question: Can I get some help giving someone advice? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 08:59 PM PDT My friend asked me for advice for her current situation and I don't know what advice to give her, My friend is getting married but she's nervous because her fiance wants to invite his brother and cousins which wouldn't bother her if it wasn't for the fact that they sexually abused him when he was younger she's not comfortable having them at the wedding (in case it should be noted he never reported the sexual abuse to anyone she's the first one he's told) so no one else knows but her him and his abuser's her fiance is hell bent on having them there reluctantly she gave in and said yes she doesn't really know how to feel about the situation and honestly is now anxious and unsure about having the wedding. I really don't know what to say to her |

Question: Need wedding present ideas? Posted: 29 Jul 2017 01:24 PM PDT In a few months I'll be going to my friends wedding. We served on the same naval vessel and did two deployments together; this will also be the first non-family member's wedding I'll have ever attended. I want to get them a special gift for the occassion and was considering getting them a couple bottles of fine wine. Is this a good idea? If not, what are some other good wedding present ideas for the occassion? |
Posted: 29 Jul 2017 02:41 AM PDT I usually wear a size 20 in dresses, but DB dresses apparently run too small (3 sizes too small) so the person who measured me ordered a size 26 for me. I went again when the dress arrived in store and it was way too big, so then I had to make an alterations appt to have the arm hole lowered so it doesn't tug my armpits and had the seams taken two inches in from the sides. Someone from the same bridal party her dress fit too small, and she didn't have to pay anything for alterations. And i paid about $175 for the dress & $140 for alterations, what gives. |
