Question: Who is responsible for the some old…something blue thing? Posted: 14 Jun 2016 10:10 PM PDT I'm one of the maids of honor in my sister's wedding in July and I'm also getting married next year. I was wondering who's supposed to do. |

Posted: 14 Jun 2016 04:08 PM PDT So i am 20 almost 21 and i am getting married on saterday. I litterally only have 1 friend so i plan on having a sleep over party with my cousins ages 10-16 and my maid of honor who is 18. Is this a bad idea? |
Posted: 14 Jun 2016 12:13 PM PDT My fiance denies it and I haven't spoke to the future sister in law about it for the simple fact that I don't want her to get any impression that her opinion about our union is relevant. She has been outspoken to him about not inviting me to family events since before she even met me, so it's nothing personal. Now we've met several times and she's cordial to me but won't be in the bridal party. She didn't like either dress I picked out. She's being difficult. My fiance is 45 and never married before. His parents are over protective and don't want us to Wed either but I can figure that out. What I cannot figure out is why his sis cares. They're not close and she does not feel protective over him. He's the older sib and used to give her money sometimes just to be nice. My personal theory is that she and the mother want him at their beckon call. They want to be the most important women in his life... for financial security as well as favors... does that make sense? Any other thoughts on why? Anyone else encounter this in your own life or someone else's.? Thanks. |
Question: It s it still my wedding dress? Posted: 14 Jun 2016 11:43 AM PDT My ex and I were together for 3 years and engaged for 1. I bought my wedding dress and it s perfect it s like a dream or a fairy tale. But after ending our relationship a couple months ago and now the dress has arrived at the bridal store and I m scared to pick it up. I guess my question is even though I bought the dress for our wedding, is it still my wedding dress? Do I try to sell it or put it up for consignment or is this the dress that I will eventually get married in? |
Question: Can you still buy your wedding rings after a civil marriage? Posted: 14 Jun 2016 11:41 AM PDT My bf and I are getting married tomorrow morning and since we didn t really have time to go out and buy rings my question is can we just buy them later after we get married? I ve read online that they are not necessary at the ceremony but that you have to let them know before so that they can "skip that part". So is it ok to just buy them after and just put them on each other? lol I guess my real question is when people exchange rings at a civil marriage ceremony is anything "important" said or is it just like a "love and union speech"? I hope that makes sense, I don t want it to sound like I don t care too much about it but since my bf called me a little while ago asking if the rings are necessary I told him that from what I ve read online they are not necessary so maybe we can just buy them later. Of course having them at the ceremony would be more special but buying them after is still ok right? We just won t have the fancy speech :P (P.S. we re getting married at 10am and since my bf gets out of work late and still has to go tomorrow at least til 9am then we don t have any time to buy them before the ceremony :/ but if they give him the rest of the day off tomorrow then we can go buy them or if he has to go back to work then we ll buy our rings til Sunday ^_^) |
Question: What is the correct order for a best Man's speech? Posted: 14 Jun 2016 10:20 AM PDT In what order should the best mans speech proceed? i.e. thanks bride and groom, amusing stories, toaste |
Question: Is it common among married couples to sleep with other people when they're apart? Posted: 14 Jun 2016 08:08 AM PDT Like quite far from each other? I've a friend who for an offshore engagement had to go to a foreign country for an year; and when he returned back, disclosed me that out of sheer lack of sex, he had slept with a woman there twice. Now I understand that going without physical intimacy can get to a lot of people, but never put much thought about cases where couples in relationship could do so. I'm sure his wife must have done similar back home as well, nor am I judging anyone for whatever they do in their sex life. However out of curiosity, is this common among married couples who live quite far from each other and that to for a long time? |
Question: Do i need to ask my girlfriends dad for permission to marry his daughter? Posted: 14 Jun 2016 07:41 AM PDT I'm going to propose on New years when the ball drops in time square. I know it is common, but i know she will like it. We don't live far from her parents, they just don't know me that well. We have been dating for 2 years. Do i need to ask her dad for permission or can i propose? |
