Posted: 06 Jun 2016 11:20 PM PDT I want my vows to be said in private instead of out loud and in front of everyone . . Do you think I should do it at the honeymoon instead ? |
Question: Eould you be upset only being invited to a wedding reception and not the ceremony? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 10:13 PM PDT what was supposed to be an intimate wedding ceremony and larger reception turned into mix up. We sent out 46 wedding ceremony invitations and 56 reception invitations. Those invited tot the ceremony are also invited to the reception. Do I need to be concerned with hurt feelings by those who aren't invited to the ceremony? Now I am afraid the ceremony if no longer intimate and the guests only invited to the reception will be hurt. Any suggestions? |
Question: Me and my boyfriend want to have a fake wedding? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 09:27 PM PDT Ok, so it can't be real because we're 13 years old, but does anyone have suggestions? I don't want to choose a maid of honor because my friends can sometimes be easily hurt, but I also do because... Well, I want to have a maid of honor. Since my mom's old prom dress looks like a wedding dress, I've got that covered. What about the maid of honor thing though? And, also, is this silly idea just stupid or might be kind of fun? |
Question: Wedding Date Etiquette? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 06:01 PM PDT My cousin got engaged on Dec 6, 2015 and is having a big Southern wedding in April, 2016. I got engaged this weekend and was wondering what the etiquette is on planning our dates? Are we allowed to get married before her? What are the rules with that? Sorry, she got engaged in Dec 2015 and is getting married in April 2017. |
Question: What is the correct process to be able to perform a wedding ceremony (officiate) in Texas? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 05:56 PM PDT I've researched online, but am finding information that is very different from one another- I would like my friend who is a NY resident to officiate my wedding in Texas. Is that possible? Has anyone done this, and have advice to give about the proper procedure to follow? |
Question: Do atheists love our Religion & Spirituality section too much? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 05:04 PM PDT They cannot live without religious persons. |

Question: When did the bridesmaids opinions on the dress start to matter? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 01:12 PM PDT Two years ago when my brother got married I bought, hemmed and wore whatever his wife told me. I hated it and thought she was ridiculous for being so insecure that she'd put us in dowdy garb but didn't say a word to the bride or my bro. It was expensive too. I didn't have ANY input in selection. To make matters worse the bride mentioned that the rest of the bridal party picked it out. Not only did I think that was a lie so she didn't seem so petty, if it was true that made me feel even less significant since I wasn't consulted at all. But whatever. It was more important for me to be in my brothers wedding and it was an honor. I grinned and bared it. Now it's my turn to get married and my fiances sis had the nerve to complain about the dress! I bought all their dresses for them because it's easier than getting the input of 6 different women or asking them to buy something they hate for MY wedding so I just did the easiest most efficient thing. FSIL is really disagreeable about it and she's enlisted the help of the mother who agrees with her. They both want us to post pone our wedding because they feel it's too rushed and the expediency is causing issues like this. The cartoonish irony about these 2 women I'm about to be related to is that they both proudly tell stories about their own weddings and how they got whatever they wanted because "the bride is in charge" even over the groom's input or that of his family... but apparently when they're not the bride it's different |
Question: Wedding dress color/bridesmaids dresses color help? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 11:59 AM PDT Helping my sister and her future wife plan their wedding :) They both hate the traditional white. My sister has already picked out her wedding dress it's a dark brown. Now my future sister in law is trying to decide on a wedding dress for her. Klaire wants opinions on what color dress to wear, she was thinking about a pale blue or a navy blue? What colors should their bridesmaids dresses be? They don't really have a theme |
Question: Ladies: How would u feel if your bf used his mother's engagement ring to propose to u? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 09:59 AM PDT Would u not like it since he didn't use his own money or would u be completely fine with it? |
Question: My boyfriend wants his own engagement ring and I can't afford it. What do I do? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 09:56 AM PDT I'm getting an opal ring which is my favorite and its cost is 399$. He is paying for it and make a little bit more than 2x what I make at my job. And he said he wants me to buy him one as well. But the one he wants is arou 2,000$. What should I do? |
Question: Need a title for wedding participants...? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 08:59 AM PDT My friend is getting married on a beach in a few weeks. There are 2 infant ring bearers, a flower girl, & a large boy (adult sized) sibling to pull the ring bearers in a wagon. The brides sister is going to also walk, but doesn t want her to have a Maid of Honor title. So I m looking for ideas for a title for the brides sister and the large sibling. Anyone have ideas? I know it s unconventional and that s okay. I just need ideas! Thanks 😊 |
Question: Choosing one parents wedding over the other? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 07:44 AM PDT My parents broke up when I was a baby. My dad has been in and out of my life. He's been married 2 or 3 times to different women. Most of these happened while he wasn't the most involved in my life. He's kinda trying now, but it's not a strong relationship. My mom got engaged two years ago. Her and her fiancé have been saving to fly the families abroad for their wedding. They set the date ages ago. And then my dad sent me an invitation for his wedding the same weekend. But it's local to him (not in my state). It's been stressful trying to explain to family why I RSVP'd no to his when I'm going to my moms. His family are taking it as me choosing one parent over the other, which I guess it kinda is. But not only have I always been going to my moms wedding, but she's been my main parent. My dad has also been ignoring me since He called to ask about it and I told him it clashed with moms wedding and couldn't make it out of politeness before RSVPing. Do you think I made the wrong decision? He tries in the sense he calls more and sees me more than he used to. But it's not exactly regular or a priority either. Or at least that's how it feels. He could have. I never got the chance to ask him. |

Question: Me and my fiancée don't agree on our wedding theme?? Posted: 06 Jun 2016 12:05 AM PDT Okay so she wants to have an Alice and wonderland land theme which I think is stupid. I want to have a food theme where the bridesmaid and grooms come out in hot dog costumes and ketchup costumes. It would look soooo great but she doesn't want that she said!!! Which would you prefer. Oh and I also want the person whose marrying us to wear a Dorito costume as well. |
