Question: Buying a wedding gift on a registry? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 07:17 PM PDT This is going to sound stupid but I've never had to buy a wedding gift before. If I buy a wedding gift off their registry do I send the gift to me and then ship it too them? Or do I ship it to them directly through the registry? I found the gift I want to buy them, I'm just not sure how to proceed. |
Posted: 17 Jun 2016 06:48 PM PDT About a month ago my friend told me the date that she scheduled at David s bridal to go dress shopping for her wedding. Well now a few days remaining before the appointment she reminded me with a text but then I realized it was Father s Day. I already had plans for Father s Day with my husband to get away. I apologized said I am sorry etc. but she is mad at me and not even responding to my texts.. I wanted to do something special for Father s Day because the past year has been a tough one for my family. |
Question: How do you tell your parents that you're engaged? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 06:40 PM PDT So last night my boyfriend proposed to me late at night at the park. Now a few weeks prior he DID ask my parents for their blessing but they said they'd only support it if we waited to have the wedding after a few years because I'm 19. But now with the ring on my hand how do I tell them? Our plan is to tell them that we want it to be set and guaranteed rather than just words for many years with the possibility of doubt. Another plan is to maybe just him do a second proposal in front of them for their sake. Which one sounds best? And how do you suggest going about it?? |
Question: How much should I spend on a wedding gift? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 06:23 PM PDT One of my best friends is getting married at 24 years old. I've known him since 2nd grade. We were also roommates for a while when we rented an apartment. I'm also an usher in the wedding. What would be an appropriate amount for a gift? He's a lot of family also. They invited about 425 to the wedding and expect around 300 people to show. |
Question: Should I take this job? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 04:57 PM PDT Hello all, I'm 22 and I've just graduated from college with a degree in film production. I have recently been contacted by a DJ who owns his own company. He asked if I could be the videographer at one of the events that he will be performing at, which is a wedding. I would be getting paid under the table by the groom and bride, with no contract, though I've never done wedding videos before and have no experience with them. I'm not sure if I should back out tbh, the event is tomorrow. is this job sketchy? Should I take it? What are the risks? Thank you to anyone who shares their opinion on this. |

Question: Promise rings, Engagement rings more of type of meaningful rings? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 12:58 PM PDT Can anyone help me to find out what the steps of the kind of rings you would buy someone if you are in a relationship with them, or if you wish to buy them a ring to show something further. i know there are promise rings, engagement rings, what s above promise rings that you can show something more than promise rings? |
Question: Do I still have to send a wedding invite? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 09:47 AM PDT I am getting marrieds he beginning of next year and have sent all the Save the Dates our already as many people are from out of town. My fiancé recently had a falling out with one of this people who received a save the date. They used to work together were never amazing friends but friends enough where he thought it would be nice to invite him. This happened after they were sent and received. Some very nasty immature things were said over a FB post to my fiancé. Obviously my fiancé realizes his true character and no longer wants him invited to the wedding which I understand it was very Nasty and stupid. Needless to say my fiancé is very disappointed not realizing this is how he is. Is It awful if we don't send an invite? I would never consider ever doing this but this situation is different. I also can't imagine he would go or still want to go to wedding? Thanks!! |
Question: What will happen if I go to a random stranger’s wedding? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 09:02 AM PDT If I just invite myself to a random wedding happening and go to a stranger's wedding where I don't know anyone at the wedding and if I crashed the wedding, what will happen? Would this be weird? Is it even legal to do this and sneak in a wedding without being invited and just hang out with flirting with beautiful women there and just saying I don't know anyone there but just decided to come? |

Question: My fiance has a big family but I don't. how do I balance the wedding guest list? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 07:52 AM PDT I want to have a small, cheap but tasteful wedding because I don't have as big of a wedding guest list as my fiancee's. Also my fiance is from a different city and all of his family and friends live there, so he wants to have the wedding there. For this, his parents are willing to pay for most of the wedding. How do we balance the wants and needs of both parties? |
Question: Questions about Wedding Rings? Posted: 17 Jun 2016 07:00 AM PDT I have just a couple of questions regarding wedding etiquette and customs. I may or may not be someone involved, but that's not important. Let's say for simplicity's sake that I am doing research. 1. Who purchases the bride's wedding band? 2. Who purchases the groom's wedding band? 3. Are the bride's rings (wedding and engagement) supposed to match? 4. I understand that engagement rings have a cost standard involved; do wedding bands also have a cost standard (e.g. one month's wages)? Thanks all |
