Posted: 15 Jun 2016 06:10 PM PDT My close friend is getting married in August and we have not even looked at bridesmaids dresses. She was wanting everyone to be able to go with her but not every is going to be able to go dress shopping at the same time because two of the girls work with her and the other one works all the time too. I am just scared that if we do not get started soon that the dresses will not come in on time for the wedding. I texted her and asked her if she has decided when she was wanting to go dress shopping yet and I did not get a response. They can not move the wedding up because it is the only time they have to get married because he is in the army. I just do not know what to do. She already has a wedding dresses. We just need bridesmaids dresses. I also do not want to be running around at the last minute trying to find a dress. |
Question: Why can't my sister accept that I refuse to invite her new girlfriend to my wedding? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 05:05 PM PDT Before you think that I'm homophobic, please me reassure that I'm not. I love my little sister very much. I'm a big supporter of the LGBTQ community. When I started planning my wedding, my sister was single, and she didn't have a significant other in her life. She met someone in the last couple of weeks, and she wants to bring her new girlfriend to my wedding, and I said no. My fiance and I can't afford to have another person, and the facility where were getting married only allows a certain amount of people. My sister is really mad at me, that we refuse to include her new girlfriend. If my sister had been in a long term relationship before we planned our wedding, it would have been a different story all together. But the fact that our finances won't allow it, and we don't want someone we don't know at our wedding. I really wish my sister would accept our decision, and just come to our wedding and be happy for us. |

Posted: 15 Jun 2016 01:03 PM PDT I am really sorry for my error with adding a question mark when I did not mean to! I meant of adding! I am so, so sorry again! |
Question: Hello! What is your opinion of Junior Brides and Junior Grooms being in weddings? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 12:45 PM PDT Junior Brides and Junior Grooms are also referred to as Miniature Brides and Miniature Grooms! The Junior Bride and Junior Groom walk next to each other at some point before the bride, usually before the ring bearer or ring bearers and the flower girl or flower girls if anyone has either of those roles in the wedding. The Junior Bride wears a dress and veil that is a miniature version of the bride's dress or gown and veil! The Junior Groom wears a suit or tuxedo that is a miniature version of the groom's suit or tuxedo! The Junior Bride's hair is made to look exactly like the bride's hair, and the Junior Groom's hair is made to look exactly like the groom's hair! http://forums.theknot.com/discussion/298621/do-i-really-need-a-mini-bride http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/mini-brides/ https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070320185158AAwNiAa I added some links to information on Junior Brides and Junior Grooms if you are interesting in them! I meant interested in them! I am really sorry for that error! The Junior Bride also carries a bouquet that is a version of the bride's bouquet! By bouquet I mean a flower bouquet! It is traditional in certain cultures to have a Junior Bride and Junior Groom in a wedding, and certain people love and/or like the idea! It is also a great idea to have a Junior Bride and Junior Groom if you are not certain what role two young people in your wedding party should have! Of course, it is only a great idea for your wedding if you and your fiance or fiancee both love the idea and want to incorporate it into your wedding! Junior Brides and Junior Grooms are different than Junior Bridesmaids and Junior Groomsmen. A Junior Bridesmaid is a bridesmaid that is fifteen years old or younger, and her dress is like the Bridesmaids' dresses except that it is more appropriate for a young lady than for an adult lady! A Junior Groomsman is a Groomsman that is fifteen years old or younger, and his suit or tuxedo is a smaller version of the suit or tuxedo that the Groomsmen sport! Of course, the Junior Bridesmaid and Junior Groomsman may sport something different than the fully-fledged Bridesmaids and Groomsmen do depending on the preferences of the two people that are getting married! |
Question: Under 21 bachelorette party ideas? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 11:56 AM PDT My 21 year old sister is getting married next month. She only has a maid of honor (me, 16) and another bridesmaid (17). For her bachelorette party, I was thinking to create a little scavenger hunt/quest with hint cards and tasks. For example, one of the tasks takes us to an arcade where she has to score a certain number of points in skee ball in order to receive the next hint card. Another example takes us to the mall and requires her to purchase/try on a weird item. The last hint card will take us to her favorite restaurant to end the night. Any other activities/places to go/things to do and related task ideas you may have would be awesome! |

Question: Bridal shower gift vs. wedding gift? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 01:27 AM PDT What is the proper etiquette for buying gifts for bridal showers and weddings? Like, if i go to a bridal shower and buy the couple a gift should i buy the same couple a gift for their wedding. I'm just not sure if they are expecting two gifts for the same occasion, well it's basically the same occasion... Anyways, i'm just wondering what to do. |
Question: Buying Gift Off The Wedding Registry-If You Can Find Gift Cheaper Elsewhere? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 01:26 AM PDT My niece is getting married next year and is registered at Williams Sonoma. I would like to purchase the Kitchen Aid mixer she wants but I know I can find the same exact model elsewhere for a lower price. She is requesting that the gifts be sent to her present address prior to the wedding so she'll know what she's getting ahead of time. First of all is buying the exact same item elsewhere besides the store where the bride is registered considered proper etiquette? Secondly, will she be allowed by Williams Sonoma to remove that item from her wish list even though it won't be purchased there?. Unless she deletes it there may be a chance someone could buy her the same gift. |
Question: Do you buy a gift for the bridal shower AND the wedding? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 01:25 AM PDT I know I should know this, because I have been to many weddings....but typically if I go to a pre-party, it's a bachellorette party- not a "bridal shower". Went to my first one a couple of weeks ago and did buy from the couple's registry. Now the wedding is coming up...and I have no idea whether I'm supposed to buy another present or not. I'm not financially free to do this...but do NOT want to be rude. What is expected and appropriate? |
Question: Is $30 enough to put in a card for a wedding gift? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 01:24 AM PDT I am attending a friends wedding this saturday and I am wondering if $30 is enough to put in the card...I am not bringing a date and it is a buffet style dinner. Is it tacky to include less than $50 in the card? I don't want to look like cheap... |
Posted: 15 Jun 2016 01:21 AM PDT I wouldn't put money in the card since I already spent quite a bit. But just a Congratulations card. I feel uncomfortable going empty handed, but what is the general standard? |
