Question: How much will I have to pay a marriage officiant in Ohio or Kentucky? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 11:26 PM PDT This won't be a large wedding at all, if that matters. It would be at a courthouse. Do you have to bring your own hired officiant? Or is there one available at the courthouse? |
Posted: 20 Jun 2016 10:01 PM PDT A friend of mine said she was going to do that and I don t think it is fair |

Question: Low budget wedding ideas? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 04:02 PM PDT I need some ideas because my fiancé and I are out of college but still are financially struggling but we want a nice wedding. The guest list is not a problem. He has a relatively big family but I don't think most of them will come because they are out of state. Our parents don't really approve of either of us (think Romeo and Juliet without half the stupidity). That will cut down the cost some and thus I can put that money elsewhere but what can I do to have the wedding of my dreams on a budget of $1,000? I don't know anything about weddings... I've never been to one in my life! |
Question: Theme for ceremony's afterparty? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 03:43 PM PDT It's holding about 100 people and it has to really stand out. |
Question: Is this a nice engagement ring? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 03:00 PM PDT Is this a nice engagement ring? Or should I save up to buy a more extravagant looking ring. http://alexisdiamonds.com/product/1-50ctw-halo-engagement-ring-includes-34-carat-center-diamond/ |

Question: When do the bridesmaids put on the robes? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 02:38 PM PDT I guess it's for getting ready but I'm pretty sure they're gonna show up at the salon already dressed . I bought them nice silk robes and want to recreate the classic Pinterest pic but don't know how without awkwardly being like "could you wear it now and turn around for a picture?" Haha any advice how to gracefully pull off this photo op? Don't me mean, I'm not a jerk I paid for their dresses. |

Question: Is it OK to have only one bridesmaid? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 01:37 PM PDT I am getting married in a few months. I have several acquaintances. Only a handful of friends. Most of them live out of town. I am an only child, so I don't have a sister to ask. There is only one person I feel close enough to ask to be apart of my wedding. Anyone else would be a filler. Would it be weird to have one bridesmaid? |
Question: Is a song dedication okay at a wedding? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 01:04 PM PDT I am getting married in a few weeks. My uncle who I was very close with (my dad's half brother so we were only 3 years apart) passed away 2 months ago at age 26. He was also one of my fiance's groomsmen and very active in my wedding planning. He helped me pick out the music for the reception and insisted I play this one song that we both loved. I would like to say a quick toast and dedicate that song to him at our wedding and ask everyone to dance with us (its a very upbeat song) . Is that too much? |
Question: What should I wear to this wedding? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 01:01 PM PDT I asked this a few days ago, but I got the time wrong, so I'm asking again. I'm going to a wedding the first week in July, in Texas, but it's indoors. I thought the time was 3, but it's actually at 5:30. I know evening weddings are more formal so that's why I'm asking again. The invitation says "5:30 in the evening" even though I don't consider 5:30 in the summer the evening since it's still a few hours before dark. The invitation says nothing about the dress code. The family of the bride is very wealthy and the venue is upscale, so I don't want to be under dressed. I'm in my early 20's, I'm average height and a size 6. I've only been to one wedding since I've been an adult and it was very casual. Also, I'd like to wear something with short or 3/4 length sleeves because I'm not too happy with my arms. Lol |
Question: Homophobic bride doesn't want gay bridesmaid, now she's a groomswoman? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 12:51 PM PDT So I'm friends with the groom here. The groom wants his brother and sister involved, the brother is a groomsman and as the bride's brother is also a groomsman he considered it would only be natural for the bride to have his sister on her side as a bridesmaid. His sister is gay. He doesn't have a problem with it, the parents are fine with it, the rest of the wedding party are fine with it, the bride is not. The bride thinks it's embarrassing and has told the groom that his sister can either stand with him as a groomswoman or not be involved at all. Imagine how the groom, groomswoman and their parents feel! BTW, the bride's family don't have any issues with homosexuality either. Just her. So what is to be done here? |

Question: Could I fire the wedding caterers for texting during work time? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 10:47 AM PDT At the wedding reception I hosted, I hired caterers and I spent thousands of dollars on them and during the wedding, I saw a couple girls who were caterers on their phone texting while I peeked in the kitchen!! I even said: "HEY! I DON'T PAY YOU TO BE ON YOUR PHONE ALL DAY! GET OFF YOUR PHONE, GET TO WORK AND START BRINGING OUT STUFF!" Then this one caterer ignored me and just walked away and gave me the finger and I overheard her saying: "I am allowed to take a f**cking break!" And she swore and said the f word! Why are caterers allowed to text anyway instead of doing their job? Could I fire them that same day for texting and wasting time while they should be working and catering? Are they right to be texting on their phone during the wedding reception when they have a job to do? |
Question: Wedding trends .. the veil on the head? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 09:52 AM PDT I want to do this instead of having it come off the back of my head or from underneath ponytail. I'm also wearing a bubble veil for extra volume. Thought ? |
Question: ITALIAN WEDDING HELP?!? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 09:05 AM PDT I was recently invited to my manager's wedding. However, I was not invited to the other events like the bachelorette party or the bridal shower. Since I work that day I will only show up to the hall at around 9:30-10 which means I will not be eating there (apart from the dessert maybe). I was wondering how much money I should give since I am only 18 and work 13-20 hours per week. Is 60$ ok? |
Question: Wrong for bridesmaid to not go on hen do? Posted: 20 Jun 2016 05:35 AM PDT i m a bridesmaid for my cousins wedding in december this year, however the maid of honor asked me when my birthday was so she could avoid it. she messaged me again last week asking if i would mind if we got the train home on my birthday and i said i would rather not. there s 3 other weekends that would work fine and yet she has booked it on my birthday weekend, meaning i ll be sitting on a train for hours with people i don t know. i m really angry about it because she knew i was planning on having a weekend away for my birthday last year, but couldn t because my auntie was very ill, so i wanted to do it this year instead. she s totally ruined my birthday plans unnecessarily and now wont respond to my messages which i find completely rude as i can see she s read them. i don t want to go, as i want to do my original plan. |
