I am already the weirdest kid there is at school, I am a complete introvert. It's bad enough as it already is, to make matters worse, it's an all girl camp!!!! This past year I had a horrible time with bullies, why would I want to be in a vulnerable situation where more people can do that?! Also I feel odd, because to be truthful, I am gay. So I just don't want to weird people out about that too. Should I just ignore people... or just be someone I am not? I just don't want to be bullied, and to have my space. Plz help, what is the best way to do this??? |

I reached out to her last month, and we texted a little. I've tried starting up conversations with her since then but she's been short with me and I even tried meeting up when I was in her city (we live 2 hours apart). She claimed she was busy but let her know next time I'm in town. I feel she wants to be friends again eventually but just isn't ready yet. I think I've done everything I can to bring things back to normal but I just need to give her space and let her be the one to reach out to me when she's ready. However, I got transferred for work and I'll be living in her city for about 5-8 months starting in August. I don't want her to feel pressured into meeting up with me because we'll be living in the same city so I wasn't going to tell her but worried she might find out from someone else or through social media. Do I let her know I'll be moving to her city or should I just not mention it unless she reaches out to me? Thanks |

I'm only 13 do I can't drive or anything to get out of the house. I want to go outside but nonw of my friends live in my neighborhood and they never invite me to do anything or even text me unless I text them. I don't have a pet at home or anything to keep me company so I usually just stay in my room sleeping the whole day. I would go for a walk or something but it's always close to 120 degrees out and I can't really handle the heat. |

A was nice to me and I was nice to her, because I am nice to everyone. It's just who I am. This year, I noticed that A sometimes teased me, or said something rude, but I figured she was just messing with me. No big deal, right? Late in the school year, I got a job at a restaurant. I told A I loved it there. But then, A decided to get a job there, too. When A told me about getting the job, I had a bad feeling about it. A wasn't easy to work with at school, and knowing her, she wouldn't want to do anything but talk. And I felt bad about having those feelings. When A got the job, I had a few co-workers complaining that she wouldn't do anything because she didn't want to. Then I worked with A. A didn't offer help with anything until we were almost done with an order. She'd take her time when making ice cream or taking out an order. And the worst part- she'd follow me around and talk to me as I did stuff. It drives me nuts. I'm just trying to work, I don't want to get in trouble! A also says some ride stuff sometimes. A told me I had no backbone before I met her. Now, despite the fact I love going to work, I DO NOT like working with A. And even though she says I'm her best friend, I don't feel a good friend. I know this because about 3 or 4 months she told her that I'm a "bad influence" And I honestly don't see how. She was making fun of me for never doing weed or drinking in high school. Honestly, I'm not interested in doing those things yet because most of the drinking stories I've heard in high school have ended badly (people getting caught passed out on lawns, getting their licenses revoked, etc.) What I don't get is that a lot of people in my school say drinking in high school is "super fun and cool" but they end up doing things they regret. I'm not saying I won't ever drink/party in college, but I feel like I'm still young right now and can have fun without drinking. Am I a loser for not being into that stuff during high school? |

I found a small group and they all know each other..I was also cautious when adding.. We all in university.. In 3 years I've gotten to know them but I want to be able to meet them and I don't know how to ask them, I'm scared they find it weird and since they such a nice group, I want to become friends with more of them but I'm afraid of their reactions, I'm shy and don't like rejection as I've had it a lot. We are both 12 and I am a guy. Just so you know. Anyway I met his other friends on there and I was basically shy and quiet towards them but I eventually made friends with some of them. Now Shane and I have the ps4. All of our old friends are gone and I wanted to make new ones. I made one or two good friends but Shane made probably 20 of them. Since I've been interacting with them I haven't been talking. It takes me a while to warm up. But once I started to try to talk with just the four of us in a party no one talks back to me. They remain quiet and they never answer any of my questions. Even my friend ignores me. They all already have inside jokes amongst each other from the two days of knowing each other and it makes me feel left out when they laugh about something I don't get. I try to get more involved but I get the impression that I stop the fun.They all were going to play a game together and I wanted to join but Shane told me that I couldn't join because the game is too hard for me and it annoys me because that defeats the purpose of having friends in my book. So am I just awkward or is it them? |

She works part-time in my company...Recently,she met this another immigrant guy from her country and they hit off...I was initially happy for her but later i learnt that he convinced her to sleep with 3 of his friends... Worst part is that she considers this to be rebelling against her traditional parents and her cheating husband that she doesn't understand she's being taken advantage by a creep... I want her to get married again with a good man before she loses her youth and not sleeping around..She doesn't have much skills and the only source of income is her alimony and the part-time money she gets... Only went out once to prom. It's been a year since I graduated I'm 18 and started working at a warehouse, but mostly everyone are older with kids but I made one friend my age that doesn't work there anymore so I asked if he wanted to hang out and we have hung out twice and still text sometimes.i have a close friend from middle school but she never wants to hang out and takes a long time to reply. I FaceTime a close friend from highschool every week since she lives far and my other close friend is in the army. I go out to eat and do errands by myself. I start colleg until the fall but for now I feel like I need to go out more and meet people and live life. It's just hard since have no friends. On my time off I use it making videos for YouTube since I'm very into style. I start of a fashion colle until next year. A few months ago I also went to volunteer at a fashion show, but for now idk what else to do. Work takes up a lot of Time but I have two days off. I want to go to many places and dress up and talk to people but I have to do it all by myself. But this year I have been talking more and don't feel as nervous. I almost feel as if I can do anything. With my guy friend I talk to him and am myself which I never was able to do in school.any advice? |

| Question: Why is my friend mad at me? Posted: 23 Jun 2016 10:58 AM PDT My friend and I are very close and have been for many years. She's really shy and quiet, so I am her closest friend. Basically, we recently started hanging out with this group of guys, and they were really cool and nice. But one night, one of the guys messaged my friend privately and asked if she wanted to go watch a scary movie with him. She asked if they could go with our regular group, and he said that he was fine with that but he was still suggesting that they go alone. I was on call with her this entire time, and so I told her that he probably had a crush on her. This shocked her a lot, and she started crying and acting really evasive with the conversation. I think he was her closest male friend at that time too, so she obviously began to freak out on how to act in the relationship now. After that night, she cut off all communication with him and muted our group chat, but she still acted normally with me. Last Saturday, we were on call, and I told her that she should try to at least be friends with that guy and not drop him completely because he has always been a supportive friend to her and that it wasn't his fault that he liked her. She hung up on me and hasn't responded to any of my text messages or calls since then. I don't understand her reaction and I really need help on how to fix this situation. Posted: 23 Jun 2016 10:25 AM PDT When I was 12 my mom was obsessed with making me sure I was the prettiest and most popular one in my grade. This was something I didn't really care about, but she insisted on buying me expensive clothing and literally anything to make me "cool". Of course I was appreciative of it, but it started getting worse with the more friends I made. She would sit and take my phone every 20 minutes to "check" it. I understood her concern since she didn't know who I was texting and I think it's important to monitor what your children are doing, but she took it too far. She was signed into everything I had an account for and answered literally anyone who messaged me as if it were me! At one point I questioned why she did this and she would get embarrassed and extremely angry with me. She threatened to punish me if I ever said anything to anyone and she would also take away my phone if I ever brought up to her that I didn't understand why she always answered my messages. She would sit over me while I was on the computer and also tell me what to say or how to respond to people. She did this until I turned 20, and still tries to be involved in my social life. When I was in HS she would get extremely mad at me if I wasn't out "socializing" with friends everyday or every weekend like she seen everyone else doing on Instagram. She would constantly put me down bc I didn't have as many friends and tell me it was bc I was fat or not outgoing. She has stopped with me now, but moved onto my sister. |
