Posted: 08 Jun 2016 08:37 PM PDT I'm due by the end of June in about 3 weeks. I file for a divorce in January and I file for full physical and legal custody of my son. My ex husband never responded. What is the next step I need to take? I spoken to him twice since I separated from him at 7 weeks pregnant. He is not interested in any custody and actually told me he is willing to sign over parental rights if he doesn't have to pay child support. Obviously he is looking to get out of child support because he already has two other kids from a previous marriage and pays 1,200 dollars a month. I don't want to share custody. I know I have to get a lawyer but I'm just wondering what are the next steps. |
Question: Is it weird for my friend to be this anti-relationship? What's wrong? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 08:27 PM PDT Okay. I have a friend, we'll call her Chelsea. Chelsea is promiscious. Sure. She sleeps with many guys, girls, and she gets annoyed when they try to contact her again. When people try texting her after she calls them, "Creepy" and blocks them. She's not very nice to her sexual partners. I went to her apartment once, she was naked with this girl, Chelsea woke up and said: "Okay? You can go now?" She has never been in a relationship. Ever. She said she went on one date at 14, and that it "Didn't go well." There was a recent occasion, where a really cute guy asked her out so she, "Made an exception" though she was reluctant about it. I went over to see how she was. She looked pale, and said she was really scared. She said she didn't think she should go, and she was sweating profusely. Eventually, i nudged her to go. The guy talked to me later, and said she acted completely not like herself, was sweating, shaking, barely talking. He wanted to take her home, and she completely freaked out, and left? She was still really freaked out afterwards and said she wanted weed to relax. I asked what happened, she said it was fine, just that dating definitely isn't for her. |

Question: What is the point of getting a prenup when you marry? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 08:19 PM PDT Please spare us the sales pitch, lawyers, or the long winded gripes from bitter divorcees. I know what a prenup is and what it's for. I understand people don't want to share their earned or inherited money and property. My question is why do these people get married? Marriage is a merger. It's joining lives including assets with someone. That's what marriage is!! Having an additional contract which counteracts the marriage contract just seems to beg the question: why get married? If you don't want to share with this person ...you don't want to marry them. Again that's what MARRIAGE is. Please don't write back telling me love shouldn't be impacted by material gains. I concur! Love and monogamy and relationships shouldn't... but marriage IS essentially a business merger. It seems if you have s prenup, the wedding, marriage, wedding bands, titles of "husband" and "wife" are all for show... fo sho. |

Question: Military spouse staying in husband dorm room during visit? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 07:53 PM PDT My husband and I recently were married. He is stationed in Alaska while I'm here in Washington until September when we both move to South Carolina. I am planning on visiting him some time this summer. Am I able to stay with him in his dorm room on base or will I have to stay with his friends off base? |
Posted: 08 Jun 2016 07:43 PM PDT My husband is a citizen of the UK. We got married so that he could stay in the states. We have one child together. His two year green card will expire next year. I found out my husband was cheating on me. I don't wanna sponsor him when his green card renewal comes up. If I file for divorce, can they deny him the ten year green card because we're divorced and he's guilty of cheating? Will they let him stay just because we have a child together even if i divorce him? Also I have proof of the cheating btw..... |

Question: Is it okay to sleep with a married man if he is separated from his wife? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 06:32 PM PDT Hi my name is Stephanie and I'm 22. I've been dating an older guy for about two weeks but he is married. When I asked was he single, he was upfront with me and said he is married but he and his wife haven't slept together in a year or so even though they are living together. We've had sex twice in his house and I slept over last night. I just hope he is being honest with me about everything because I don't want to continue sleeping with him if he is still involved with his wife. |

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 05:07 PM PDT When I found out that my estranged husband had been having an affair, I was devastated. I filed for a divorce, and I am moving on with my life. My estranged husband wants me to forgive his infidelity, and forget about his two year affair. He says he still loves me, and he wants to work it out. I've told him, that we are through, and he needs to forget about us getting back together. I'm just trying to figure out why he wants me to forgive and forget. |

Question: Can a man get arrested for sleeping with my wife? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 04:33 PM PDT I got home from work, and I walked in on my wife having sex with another man in my bed.. The guy she slept with was pretty muscular and tall.. I m only 5 2, so he didn t freaked out when he saw me walked in on them having sex.. Instead he provoked me.. He put on his boxers walked into my kitchen and open the refrigerator.. I didn t know what to do. I looked at my wife in disgust, but I still love her.. I want to be with her for the rest of my life.. She is gorgeous, and I don t think I ll ever find someone like her anymore.. I know she made a mistake and I m willing to forgive her.. In a way it s my fault because I work long hours from 6am to 9pm... My only issue is what can I do about this guy she sleeping with? Can he be arrested? She told me he s just a friend, and she won t have sex with him anymore.. It was just a one time thing.. I don t know what to do.. I m just stressing out because this is the woman I want to have kids with.. Thank you. |

Is this true for other country's with the us? Like is my marriage considered a recagnize legal on in Canada Mexico the UK ect? I'm a legal citizen as is my husband. Question: How can I Divorce my Wife when I can't tell her the real reason why I want to divorce her? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 04:14 PM PDT Me and my wifey were in the bedroom messing around, you know. And she was sitting on my face.... And while she was kind of rocking around on my face, and she was reaching close to climax... And.... she.......... farted kind of in my face and it was right by my mouth and nose and it smelled really bad. We laughed it off at the moment but it was not anywhere near funny. It was disgusting and the experience is permanently burned into my skull. I'm 25, she's 24. We been married a little over a year and 10 months, so a decently long time. I don't know what to tell her, I feel like I owe it to her to be honest and she hasn't done anything wrong besides that so I don't know what I'm supposed to say when I tell her I want a divorce. I know coming here is sort of a last resort, there's probably not much you can do to help, but what should I do? I need this divorce. All sexual attraction is completely gone, I rather have sex with one of my guy friends than her now.... Any advice or ideas how I should divorce her?? |
Question: How do I tell my woman that she needs to improve her looks? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 03:27 PM PDT She used to look good. She was 60 pounds lighter, took the time to bathe every day, did her hair (even got it colored with different colored streaks and stuff), wore nice clothes, brushed her teeth every day... ya know, kept herself up. Now that we're married, she doesn't do any of that.. she's just a fat stinky blob. |
Question: As an American woman, would you also be offended by this? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 03:24 PM PDT I am American and I married my husband in Ghana, West Africa a month ago. His brother lives close to me. His brother has been highly inappropriate with me and has harassed me to the point of me getting a restraining order. My husband tells me the family has made a decision (without my input) that to make up for his actions he is going to buy me a car? I am SUPER ANGRY. So people can treat me how they want as long as they buy me stuff? NO. I want the brother in law to keep his distance and leave me alone. I want nothing from him. My husband thinks its a good solution and doesn't understand why I am so upset. Would other women also find this behavior SUPER offensive? |

Question: Is there any point of getting married in your 40s? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 02:18 PM PDT My family are all like don't get married until you are in your 40s. Have kids in your 30s if you want them and the marriage can come after that. It's not that important |

Question: Is my wife stupider than stupid for thinking a digital timer is a Radon Detector? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 12:14 PM PDT My wife hijacked my 5 year old daughter and ran up my credit card on hotel rooms because she "didn't want to put our daughter in danger of Radon Poisoning." Our Radon level was above 16 but I don't care. I put a digital timer in the basement and set the digital timer to 3.2 seconds. My wife was stupid enough to believe that was a Radon Detector and the Radon level was at 3.2. HAHAHAHAHAHA. She moved back in and all is well. This is what I get for marrying a complete, worthless, piece of crap. |
Question: What will happen with affair and couseling? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 12:02 PM PDT If someone is married and is cheating and got caught but still continues to cheat with the same person and is also going to marriage couseling. what do you think will happen? If it ends in divorce how long will you think it will take? He was caught back in nov 2015 and is still cheating with same person. Wife and him have bought a house recently and are still going to counseling. after wife found out they instantly went to counseling. husband says wife can seem to only talk to him when they at counseling. |

Question: What do you think of someone who does this? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 10:20 AM PDT A woman divorces her husband whom she has kids with and gets into a relationship with another man. This man is great with her kids, is a good guy and financially independent and works hard but helps her some as well even though she rarely thanks him. He treats her well, takes her on trips and is very loyal. This woman ends up meeting a guy through friends who is very rich and has inherited a bunch of money and never worked. She leaves the first guy for him because he has more money and can help her support her kids even though the first guy treated her and her kids very well. Do you think this woman is selfish or right for doing this and what effect will it have on her kids if any? |
Question: Do we have a cheating culture problem? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 10:13 AM PDT Do we have a "Cheating Culture"? Cheating is seen as bad, but more often when someone cheats blame is pushed off to the other partner/spouse for "working too hard", "being neglectful" or some other catch phrase to redirect blame. I read the attached article and realized it was completely about making the NON-cheating spouse change their behavior, but said NOTHING about correcting the cheating spouse's behavior. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/samantha-rodman-phd/how-can-our-marriage-recover-after-my-wife-cheated_b_10301442.html |

Question: Why can't we compromise with oral sex? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 08:24 AM PDT I've been married for 8 years, together for 11. I have never enjoyed giving oral sex. A really bad first experience has me hung up. My husband wants to *** in my mouth, which I have tried a few times (each ended up with me getting sick). I was hoping we can compromise, when we got together I said I would try to get better at giving. I was doing it more often with him finishing outside of my mouth, but then he started complaining about it not being where he wants to finish. It completely turns me off from even doing it, since it's not good enough. Are there any tips to how to compromise on this situation? He feels that other women love giving oral and enjoy having their men finish in their mouths. (Thank you, porn). Is there any way to help with getting past throwing up when he finishes in my mouth? |
Posted: 08 Jun 2016 08:12 AM PDT I made $12 an hour at my previous job. While job-hunting, I had a successful interview where the employer offered me $25 an hour. Unfortunately, Sundays wil be included in my standard work schedule, which means that I wouldn't be able to go to church. I am very God-fearing, so until I find a job that gives me weekends off, I will have to remain unemployed. My wife and I have 2 children and can barely make ends meet, and we don't exactly live in the best neighborhood. But I believe that with God, we are gonna be ok. Did I make the right decision regarding that job offer? |
Posted: 08 Jun 2016 07:57 AM PDT Myhusband and I have been going through yet another rocky patch in our relationship. Been together for four years, married for less than one year. He said he doesn t know what he wants and that mean being with me.. He has told me he wanted to take a couple weeks or months apart but still remain married so he has his own space to think. Has anyone else on here done that? Also has that brought a good out come? I am agreeing with the first two people who commented. I think he just wants to play games and screw around but he wants to take this time apart to see if the grass in greener on the other side. If he is anything like he is with me, grass is only green where you water it. If he isn't going to put in any effort with me, I know he won't with anyone else. We have a three year old daughter together and I don't want her to be in a broken home, which that is how it is looking right now. |
Posted: 08 Jun 2016 07:55 AM PDT My husands ex wife has bought their 8 yo daughter a cell phone. We have her every other weekend. Now, the cell phone would not be a problem, except for the fact(s) that she calls her 3-4 times a day when we have her. And if she doesn't respond (last situation we went swimming and she didn't bring her cellphone down to the lake with her, but I had mine) she starts texting my phone, questioning why she doesn't have her phone. Another thing is, she isn't allowed to have the cell phone at her mom's house. But her mom has threatened to not let us have her if we don't let her have the cell phone (he has joint custody and it is in the parenting plan that he gets her every other weekend). We have tried and been very civil with her. She is very controlling. Do you think we should just let her have it so it won't mess with our chances of winning more visitation (we aren't reaching for full, she needs her mom, as all kids do but just the basics. Every other weekend, odd holidays, two weeks during the summer, etc.) We have tried to call the mother to speak with the daughter before, but she won't answer unless it's our weekend. She says that she is to have full communication (which she does, on the RARE occasion I don't have it (bathing kids, switching laundry) I call her back within minutes)). We are not allowed to communicate when we want to. But she states that she is whenever she wants to. So... should we just leave it alone or tell her to keep it? |

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 07:42 AM PDT Based on a magazine article: A couple was divorcing due infidelity, lies and a total lack of trust. During the divorce proceedings, it was discovered that the daughter (age 3) was conceived by another man. The husband had doubts about the paternity of the little girl. He was informed that the child was a "product of the marriage" meaning that she was conceived while he was still married to his soon to be ex wife. Therefore, he could still be "financially responsible" for child support IF THE REAL FATHER WAS UNKNOWN! Of course, his wife wouldn't reveal any information of the real father so the husband did his own investigation and found him. The guy was the typical loser type: no real job in the last eight years, criminal record and lived with his parents. He met the wife in a club about four years prior. The husband told the guy that he has a daughter with his soon to be ex wife and that the court will be notified. The guy didn't seem to care at all. Back in court, the husband told the judge that he shouldn't be penalized for being more responsible and stable than the REAL FATHER. His annual income was over $100,00.00. The other guy: $0.00 - unemployed. The wife countered that she would struggle more with the REAL FATHER compared to her husband's income plus she didn't want him involved in her child's life. Question: 1.) Should the husband (or any man) be financially responsible for another man's child? 2.) If you have a son, would you want him to "step up" and pay? |
Question: Whirlwind romance ended suddenly. Annulment or divorce? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 06:59 AM PDT I met my wife while visiting my hometown. We live about 7 hours away from each other. I just sold my loft and bought a house so she and her two dogs could come live with me. We have been married for 3 weeks. She was supposed to move at the end of the month, but she got cold feet and told me through text message that she would not be moving, that she got back together with her ex boyfriend, and to never contact her again. She even blocked me on Facebook. I'm not really sure what to do now. We can't stay married. We live in two different states and got married in Mexico. Help? |
Question: Staying in bed all day again. Because...? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 06:46 AM PDT Apparently my wife has Canadian relatives coming to visit us. This seems to have caused my wife to begin staying in bed all day long (which she does a lot and attributes to stress). Am I wrong in thinking that its okay to tell these visitors that my wife isn't well enough to see them? She doesn't even know who they are. |
Question: Which county s marriage license? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 06:24 AM PDT My fiance and I live in Maricopa County, Arizona, but we are planning on getting married in Yavapai County (also in Arizona). Which county would we need to get the marriage license from? |
Question: Wife being un reasonable? Posted: 08 Jun 2016 05:15 AM PDT so, I need a loan to consolidate some debt, my wife(23yrs) has to co-sign , we share house, she won't, she says I spend too much, wants to "teach me a lesson" I'm barely making payments, when a loan would make things much easier and less stressful.I have asked her this for the last couple of years(summer is toughest)...after we argue a little she says no and treats me like a stranger for a few months.this is real hard on us, stressing the marriage too - .am I nuts or is she being unreasonable? |

His been suffering from ptsd and it makes me feel unsafe when I'm around him because his so jumpy ontop of that I feel like his less of a man because he couldn't hold his own making me less attracted to him. |

Question: I feel resentment towards my husband.? Posted: 07 Jun 2016 09:40 PM PDT I am not feeling very close to my husband and our marriage has been struggling... We had our first baby last year and he wasn't as helpful as I expected him to be with her. I know he loves her but he doesn't take initiative. Recently I went back to work and thought it would be better but it isn't. I am still the one taking care of her at home, giving her baths, putting her to bed etc. He does help me make dinner but thats it. Also this year I discovered a huge secret about my husband that required us to go to counselling. I am mad because he knew about this "issue" but never told me about it. I feel like I married a different man. The man I said my vows to was a family man, honest, kind, trustworthy. reliable etc. Now I don't feel like he's any of those things. I took a vow to marry him so divorce is not an option. I just need help to fix this... |
