I feel like our relationship is out of the "puppy love" phase, and I really love him. My boyfriend found out he got a job in Florida a few months ago. I recently found out I got a job an ~1 hr. drive away from where his job is. We're currently looking at apartments in the same city as his job. Here's the thing. It's been hard to find a suitable place to live together, so I have mentioned multiple times living near my workplace, while he lives near his (financially, it would be the same cost). Every time I mention this, he acts as if his feelings are hurt and walks away. I feel like he is trapping me (as a roommate) in the hopes that our relationship will be more secure if we live together... He is quite insecure about his appearance and our relationship, leading him to be excessively "clingy." I am turned off by that. I need my own space. Don't get me wrong, I have faults as well, but I do my very best to hide them. I would like to live with him, but my gut is telling me to avoid it. As I mentioned, our relationship is new. I envision a scenario where he invites a few of his friends over to drink when I have to work in the morning (I am not social). Please shed some light on this situation. I really don't want to move in together, but on the other hand, I'd like to see him more than occasionally... My options now are limited. Thanks. |
