Question: People getting married just for the sake of having a wedding? Posted: 01 Nov 2015 11:47 AM PST Have you ever known someone or had the feeling that they weren't getting married for the right reasons. Someone that has been together for a while, but in the end just wants a huge wedding to show off. Or maybe everyone they know that they went to school with is getting married so they rush it and try to out do it. I do, I was in the wedding party and the whole day just seemed faked and BS to me. Not saying these two people don't love and care about each other, I just don't think that they got married for the right reasons, and several of our friends in the circle agreed. They're not divorced a year later, close to $100k spent for nothing. Stuff like that is what makes me never want to have a huge wedding.
Posted: 01 Nov 2015 11:32 AM PST My wife and I were married over a year ago, and we asked my brother s fiancé if she wanted to be in our wedding, which she politely refused. Fast forward to today, my brother and his fiancé are getting ready to be married. I have been told that I am going to be in the wedding (best man), but my wife isn t. My brother s fiancé wanted me to walk down the aisle with some other woman, but I refused, telling her that since I m married it would be wrong and highly disrespectful to my wife if I did that. She has said that I didn t have to walk down with another woman, but my wife still isn t in the wedding. I ve talked to my brother, asking if my wife has done something to hurt his fiancé, and he has said no, and has told me that he wants her in it, but she refuses to talk about it. It isn t breaking anyone up, but it s certainly causing the bonds to bend between family members.
Question: How do I calm my nerves on walking down the isle as a bridesmaid? Posted: 01 Nov 2015 08:48 AM PST I m a bridesmaid for my friends wedding and its in a few days. I get horrible panick attacks over the smallest little things. It s not my day so I don t want to get an attack and take the focus off the bride. I m walking with my boyfriend so I m hoping that helps a little bit. I m just so nervous especially since it will be a huge wedding. Any advice on how to calm my nerves a little . I ve never been a bridesmaid before
Question: I don t know how to feel about buying her this engagement ring.? Posted: 01 Nov 2015 07:41 AM PST I m planning on proposing to my girlfriend soon, and I ve been looking at rings to get her. Recently she showed me a ring that she really really wanted. I managed to find it on the Internet, and it s about a $600 dollar ring. I don t make a lot of money (I m in the military,) but I still feel like that s pretty cheap for an engagement ring. Neither of us have ever really cared about the price tag on anything, it s just that I love her and want to give her the very best. I could afford a $2000 ring for her, I guess I feel guilty not giving her the very best. I m beyond grateful that she's not materialistic, and I want to give her what she wants. She does really love this ring. What do you guys think?
Posted: 01 Nov 2015 06:26 AM PST About three months ago my boyfriend ordered my engagement ring for $6000. Beautiful ring and I loved it. They said 6 weeks because I wanted it in platinum. This was at the end of July. At the end of August, when it was due to arrive, it didn't. They didn't contact him at all. So he called and they said a jeweler quit so it would be another 2 weeks. No big deal, stuff happens. He finally got it in mid October the week of my birthday--12 or 13 weeks after the initial order! It arrived looking very botched and bad and my boyfriend sent it back. Now here we are another two or so weeks later and nothing. They haven't offered free shipping or even a slight discount for the huge inconvenience. We're calling them and canceling the order and I'm thinking of going for a cheaper rock. I don't even like diamonds. I was thinking of ruby and alexandrite instead; maybe something unique like meteorite. Any suggestions?
Question: I need advice for wedding dresses.? Posted: 01 Nov 2015 12:01 AM PDT I m about to start shopping for a wedding dress but I don t know where to start I m overwhelmed with all the choices. I m very short at only 4 11 and feel like I would be swallowed up in a ball gown even though I really love the look since I m getting married in mid October of next year. I don t know I m extremely indecisive I just need some advice to push me in a direction.
