Question: Is it weird to keep calling someone your Uncle/Aunt even when they got Divorced? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 02:14 PM PST my Uncle married into the family. he and my Aunt have been married since before I was born but sadly they got divorced. Is it weird or disrespectful if I keep calling him Uncle? he isn't part of the family anymore but that is all i know him as. Also, like a Brother/Sister divorcing their significant other and still calling that other person a in-law? :/ |
Posted: 20 Nov 2015 01:07 PM PST A couple weeks ago, my wife asked if her sister, brother-in-law and nephew could "come for Christmas." Keep in mind that they visit throughout the year and take over the house when they do. I said "no." I like spending Christmas alone with my immediate family. (I also have no problem if they come after or before Dec 25th.) She asked again a few nights ago. I said "no" again. Just a few minutes ago, she informed me that they were coming for "Christmas dinner", and then spend the night and next few days with us. I guess technically in her mind, just coming for Christmas dinner doesn't count as coming for Christmas. Who's right? |
Question: Somebody ziptied my backpack? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 12:05 PM PST So I was on the bus today (I'm a freshman in high school) and this jerk who was sitting behind me ziptied my backpack to the bus seat. Someone helped me get it off and it was fine I was just offended because I don't know why he would do that. This guy always is mean to people and when I asked him about it he was like "Oh I don't know how that got there." Everyone thought he was being a jerk and I just felt embarrassed because I probably looked like such a loser. I'm sorry I know it's not really a question and I'm just whining but I needed to get that off my chest. How should I get him back (if I should at all)? |
Question: Is this right for a husband to do? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 11:57 AM PST we drove up to his grandparents to pick our kid up. his grandma told him to take me back home so him and her could go out to eat. (she hates my guts and won't allow me in her house) So he did, now he won't answer his phone even though he told me he'd text me when he got there. |

Posted: 20 Nov 2015 11:34 AM PST so i have a long term x that looks for me on and off. its been goingbon for almost three years. for all that time we have only been intimate once, i have sat him down talked too him.abouy what i want and how serious i want a commitment, but at the end he just tries too smooth talk me..neeays this past two weeks he has been approaching me. he even invited me too.hang out i rejected the offer becuse i was too busy. this friday he left too mexico for busniss he even called me but i didnt answer and called back.later he didnt answer my call cause he was in.mexico. i kno he is there cause he.checks.in through fb too.places.iver there,.he messaged me what i wanted from.mexico and.indeed i replied. but yeasterday he uploaded a pic of a girl and.him face timing, of.course i did research and she has pics of him kissing her on instagram. he has another pic of.them going to a movie and even the girls cousin commentted. my.point is im over him over us and.made it clear.too him. but why in the world he still.smooth talking, trying too.flirt invite me out when he already has a.new.girl. its like wtf?Be happy but dont.look for.me too try and play me |
Question: My wife's ex in laws and ex husband are causing problems, what should I do? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 11:29 AM PST My wife ex in laws and ex husband are causing problems. She has kids with her ex and the in laws watch them sometimes while she is at work. It has come at a price. They are very passive and insist in inserting themselves in her life without me included. Whenever there is a holiday they insist on going to her family's house still and guilt her into inviting them so she backs down and they come along. Granted they no longer speak to their own family so have nowhere else to go. Her ex husband will even yell at her if he does not get his way, his parents are nicer but more passive aggressive. I end up going to my own families instead just to avoid the awkwardness. They are also always voicing how they wish her and her ex got along better and were closer because of the kids. On top of that the father in law always likes all of her photos on Facebook except the ones I am in. He even likes the ones where she is by herself dressed up. Creepy. He doesn't have a life or a significant other since him and his wife divorced a while back (he cheated on her) I keep quiet and don't make a big deal about stuff because I know that is what they are trying to do, cause a riff with us. How do I handle this ? Do I just keep ignoring it and not make a big deal and let it go? They are nice to my face but it's so fake and they get on my nerves. I am always nice to them face to face too and don't let them get to me but just tired of their antics. |
Question: My girlfriends and j got caught smoking weed (like rn help)? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 11:28 AM PST So I m at my house, 2 friends over and we were smoking outside and my mom just came outside and was like hmmm come inside. Question: My patient's family completely hates me now... how should I respond? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 09:55 AM PST I work as a CNA in a nursing home. Long story short, we had a HUGE misunderstanding last night. My nurse told me not to go into this resident's room, unless the family asked for something. I responded, "what if she's wet and needs to be changed?" the nurse responded "don't even worry about it." so I listened. I didn't change this patient all shift. The family complained to midnights, and before I left the building, I had 2 nurses yelling at me. My nurse, and the midnight nurse. I walked out crying, and the family seen. I feel TERRIBLE, but I don't have the guts to tell the family what the nurse told me. They wouldn't believe me anyway. The nurse told them it was a "misunderstanding" ... but anyway, they don't like me now. At all. They never really did before. I'm horrified at the thought of going into work in an hour and facing all of them again... and all of the people that seen me cry my eyes out. |
Question: My best friend has a new boyfriend and job? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 09:22 AM PST Basically I feel like my best friend is really getting her life together and well I'm , not. About this time last year we were both single and unemployed in high school. Yet this year, we're still in high school, but the difference is she now has a job AND a boyfriend. I feel as if recently she has really had a lot of luck throw at her and she seems to be advancing in life while I'm still here stuck on level one. It sucks because I really would LOVE both of them things, all I ever do is stay at home, study and unfortunately now, only occasionally see her. While she's either hanging out with her boyfriend or making money. Any advice/tips on what to do? Thanks in advance |
Question: Is my bf reasonable or what? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 08:42 AM PST All right, before I considered him fussy, because spends hours in the bathroom and uses dozens of skin and hair products, which I find is too much for a man, and he always required me to take a shower before sex. But I understand, some people are a bit fussy about body hygiene and I sort of respect that. But today I really got mad, because instead of a shower I took a bubble bath, and when I came out of the bath I had a few bubbles stuck to my skin which I was wiping off with a towel. Then he made a fuss again that I did not rince myself properly, that my skin smells soap and that now he can not lick my breasts because he is afraid that there is a soap crust on them. Seriously? Is this normal or is he just doing this cause he is fed up of me? |
Question: Is this a reason to be suspended? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 08:33 AM PST So I'm a 14 male and what happened was I was in a "Planning Ahead" class (basically it helps you pick a career) and I told the teacher in private that when people say they want to be a NFL star, a celebrity, etc it probably wont happen so I try to be very logical with my career choices. Now before I continue I dont think I'm better then anyone I just feel I'm more mature. For example I dont give into peer pressure and I dont act childish, I dont bother with High School relationships because they dont last, and I normally socialize with 25+ year olds out of school because they are more mature. Now to continue, I was send to the Principle and I was told that was inappropriate (even then I said it in private) so I told her I was just speaking what I thought and I dont think it's inappropriate. Then she changed the subject and asked me why I was gone for five days, I said they were excused absences (They were because I did all tests, etc ahead, but I actually went Moose hunting 700 miles away) Then she told me I was on Xbox I told her it was probably my mom watching Netflix. After saying that she went back to the "Inappropriate Act", I told her that I didnt think it was inappropriate but if it is I apologize. Then she told me to stop talking back to her! I was trying to be as nice as possible and sort it out but then she asked why did you say that anyway? And I told her, "I just think it's illogical for teachers to be ppraising students for something that probabaly wont Update: Happen. So then she said get out of my office. I did and then when she called me back she said I was going to be put on a 3 day suspension. I asked if there was was any way to appeal, but then she made it a 5 day suspension. I know I made a mistake and I dont want to seem like a jerk but should have I been suspended? I just want to get you know that I am not a d bag and I dont think Im self important. And I dont talk to 25+ people online, I have a lot of cousins for all the people thinking I do. |

Question: What s going on here? Confused feelings? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 04:53 AM PST So my bestfriend and I have been friends for more than 3 years now, in those years we probably spent 30 days not hanging out. When we hang out weird stuff happens.. Like we will be sitting and he gravitates towards me somehow and still finds a way to subtly touch me whether it s with foot, arm or shoulder. Then when we hand each other things his fingers always manages to softly touch mine.. I ve handed things to people before and usually no or little touch involved. He s said he loves me and he says are souls were meant for eachother. He doesn t talk about sex with women too much which is weird considering were both straight and are in our early 20 s, there s been situations where he s turned down sex with chicks and just chilled. Also recently he s been very quiet around me I mean it s not an awkward silence it s a comfortable one. I catch him looking at me when I m not looking and then when I catch him he looks away very quick. One night we were alone talking and smoking and as he handed me the weed, I noticed he had an full erection, which made him adjust himself to hide it but then again he s always adjusting himself around me more than usual around other friends male or female, he s recently become more reserved with me, but also tells me about his life. He s also said he thinks about me in his day, and that we take care of eachother.. I m wondering does he love me as a friend or something more Bc this is really confusing ****. Idk if I feel for him that way |
Question: How to tell if a shy guy likes you? Posted: 20 Nov 2015 03:17 AM PST A guy I work with has been doing things lately that make me think he may like me. He is the shy/smart type, never has had a gf. He does things like stares at me, smile at me, is always around me, standing closer to me than what is appropriate, so our shoulders/arms touch. He watches me from afar when I interact with other male co-workers. He strikes up conversation with me and keeps the conversation going, he teases me, and does things to help me out at work. He always says hi to me, is overly polite and says sorry alot even when I feel it is not needed. Are these signs he may be interested? It's hard for me to tell since he is the shy and quiet type, will I have to be the first one to make a move? |
Question: What should I do with my life? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 11:20 PM PST So I don't Know what to do with my life. I want many things. I am not good enough for anything. I am afraid to do anything. I am scared to lose my virginity and I think I might not be able to graduate high school. I Just don't know what to do because I don't know if I can do any of it. |
Question: How do relationships with bf/gf start? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 10:50 PM PST im curious, how does just talking at first develop a chemistry between two people? How does being attractive to the other person contribute to leading into a relationship. Ive never really understood it, simply because i've been forever alone ;D |
Question: Having a hard time with an elderly neighbor? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 10:27 PM PST There is an elderly old woman (has to be almost 90) who lives across the street. She lives alone, doesn't have any close family, and frequently comes over to our house and to have me do her chores. When she first starting asking, I was OK with it, because it was infrewuent and I wanted to help her since she was elderly. She would ask for help mowing her lawn, power-washing her house, fixing her dryer, etc. Now, when she comes over, she basically demands help. He says her lawn is too high and tells me I need to mow it. She says her driveway is dirty and I have to hose it off. She doesn't even ask. She also complains that she has to walk across the street to get me to do her chores, and complains how hard it is for her to walk such a distance. I have enough of my own stuff to do between work/family that I don't have time to be doing all of her chores, espcially if she's being so rude about it. And I'm not giving her my phone number, because she would never stop calling. She also doesn't like any of the other neighbors, and frequently bad-mouths them to me while I am doing her work. How can I stop catering to her without coming off as rude? The one time I told her I couldn't pull her weeds right away she basically threw a fit, and lectured me on being neighborly. She was back the next day with a different request. I need this to stop, but would feel bad since she has no one else to help her. |
Posted: 19 Nov 2015 09:23 PM PST First of all, none of anyone here knows me. So, i don't need the judgement. Me and my twin brother were taken to foster care at 3 years old, when they deemed our mother incapable of raising us. We were separated for some years, and then reunited again at 13. The family that adopted us never grew to be fond of us, so they encouraged us to go to boarding school. During the course of it, I started to have romantic feelings for my brother. I did not grow up with him for most of my life, perhaps that played a role in it. We were lovers for most of the high school years and had a physical relationship. Tho no one knew. We have since graduated highschool and college and started working. We lived together for seven years, during which I had a miscarriage for a baby I planned to keep. But eventually, it was just too much. Even tho I will never love anyone the way I still love him, I can't imagine explaining any of this to anyone. So we began living seperatly but still keeping contact. He refuses to date anyone else, but I started dating another man and we got married this fall. I do genuinely care about him. We've been together 2 years now. He met my brother, but he doesn't know anything about the past. I guess my question is, do I have an obligation to tell him? If I don't, there is really no way he can find out. Only one of mine ( and my brother's) closest friend know, and she will never betray us. useful advice is always welcome. thank you. |
Question: Should I ask if he still loves me?? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 09:12 PM PST We have been dating 11 months. Three weeks ago he asked for a break because he felt it would be best. It's been hard for me, but I have been giving him space but it seems he is ignoring. Tonight I texted him about that and he said it wasn't like that. I said I missed him and he said he missed me too. I said goodnight to him and that I loved him. He didn't reply back but he could have been asleep by then. If he doesn't reply back tomorrow saying he loves me too, should I ask if he still loves me???? |
Question: Do you like giving gifts for no reason? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 08:50 PM PST |
Posted: 19 Nov 2015 08:35 PM PST So I am female, and I caught a male friend of mine in a lie and learned he cheated on his wife. When I confronted him, it ended up turning into an argument over text. At some point, his wife saw some of our texts and questioned him about what we were discussing. She especially got upset over one text, which talked about the night he went out (which didn t correlate with the story he told her). The next thing I know is I m getting emails from his wife, telling me to back off and she was not going to let me disrespect her husband, and wants me to stay away because she doesn t trust my intentions. To my surprise, instead of coming clean, he made up some elaborate story that involved me. I don t fully understand what he said, but basically something about how I kept pushing him to hang out with me that night when he didn t want to and trying to demand a position in his business where he didn t need it (???). Now I generally live by the "keep your mouth shut" logic in a cheating scenario because it s none of my business. But I m being portrayed as the bad guy and blamed for something that never happened! I don t know his wife well, but I know she has some trust issues, and now she believes I m disrespectful and have a thing for her husband. So my question is: do I just suck it up and let it go, or do I stand up for myself and tell her the truth? |
Question: Is it weird or wrong to have a father-daughter type relationship with a teacher? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 07:42 PM PST My teacher and I are a lot alike. He's always there for me. Whenever I'm mad, or sad. Whenever I'm happy he's happy. I can go to him for advice. He's always joking around with me. Annoying me. Talking about bands. I've never had a good father like relationship with my dad. But with this teacher, I feel a strong connection. Is it weird that I think of him as a father figure? |
Question: Am I annoying or this person just starting stuff?:/ and also is this person jealous? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 07:40 PM PST So about a day ago one of my closets friends had to tell me that a guy that I met this year told her that I'm annoying and clingy. And then he also tells her oh I feel bad for her crush because he tells me that she annoys him and that he hates how she follows him every where at school. Now that I think of it Idk if he's just saying that cuz he's jealous of what me and my crush have cuz we're like really close friends like best friends but I would think that if he had a problem he would tell me I mean he does tell me he's going to hangout with one of his other friends and I'm like ok that's fine. But if he says that like if he tell me he wants to hangout with one of his friends and this guy is saying something different then what's going on? Like it make no sense and I've asked other people if I'm annoying and the people say no and one of my bfffffl guy friend told me that when I'm annoying I'm just being myself and that I'm fun when I am so Idk can somebody give me an answer please :( |

Question: Is once a week enough for you? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 07:30 PM PST I read an article today that a long term study of 50,000 couples over 40 years that the happiest people had sex once a week. The Kinsey Report also shows that all age groups except for 18-25 average once a week with that age group averaging 2-3 times a week. We fall into that category of once or twice a week. We are both in our forties. Does this surprise you guys? Our frequency of sex has been the same since we started dating 15 years ago but I was a lot more active in my twenties. |
Question: Should I be pregnant ? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 07:27 PM PST Since I was a child, I had a fear of child birth. Therefore I have always wanted to adopt. I didn't marry until 30. Before I got married, I asked my to be husband what he thought of adoption. He mentioned he wanted to have a child of his own. Then, although it was a difficult decision I had to set up my mind to have a baby. We decided together that we would plan on Jan of 2015. He then moved the plan to March to July, like he was not ready. I really wanted to have babies of my own then. And since he was postponing and me 33 wasnt getting any younger and therefore we decided to adopt together starting Jan 2016. I spent time researching everything about adopting and now Jan 2016 is near, he wants to go back to having baby of own. This has stressed me out. Now I don't even care about having a baby of my own or even adopting. I can't keep changing my mind or plans like this. |

Question: What does this mean? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 07:14 PM PST So my boyfriend and I had a fight and we've been distant lately. We made up and I opened up and told him how I felt that I was losing him and that I loved him and all he said was no love lost. I'm not exactly sure what that means. Can someone help? |
Question: I guess he didn't mean a thing he said? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 06:57 PM PST This guy I met at college has been trying to hang out for over a month. I never hung out with him because he's always drunk on the weekends when he asks so I got the vibe he just wanted sex. I finally came out and told him why I keep saying no.. because he started getting super frustrated and said he was giving up cause I always have a new excuse. He then apologized over and over again and said "look, i think we have a really good thing going. you're so pretty. now i understand why you never hang out with me and i'm so sorry i made you think i just wanted to have sex with you. that's not all i want." He was being all sweet and somewhat flirty that night. He even called me on the phone which was a first but I actually loved it and wish it happened more often. I thought maybe he was catching feelings or something but we haven't had a solid conversation since. I'm sad because I've been thinking about it all week and now I'm just confused. |

Posted: 19 Nov 2015 05:56 PM PST I'm under a lot of stress lately, very depressed, my first love/was my best friend stopped talking to me because his girlfriend flipped out, I was friends with her too. They both blocked me. I never see my other best friend anymore. The person I vent to. I feel like I can't love anyone anymore. I honestly don't care about other people's emotions. Ive used a guy that has been friends with me for sex. Idk I guess I miss the feeling of actually having feelings for people. I just don't care anymore. I also have no idea what to do...a little guidance would be appreciated, thanks. |

Question: Should people in a relationship have a say in each others appearance? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 03:50 PM PST I just got into a fight with my BF who i will have been dating for a year this January. I told him that I wanted to get a shorter haircut something shoulder length or maybe even shorter and he got mad told me he likes long hair on women and he was attracted to me with long hair when we got together. On one hand I feel like he's being controlling because it's my hair and he's not the one who has to take care of it but at the same time I might get upset if he for example gained weight and stopped working out and got out of shape. So I was just thinking about this to what extent should two people in a relationship have a say over the other's appearance if at all? And should I get the cut or suck it up and make him happy? Thanks. |

Question: How to find out if a guy is married or not? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 01:22 PM PST This guy wears a wedding ring and recently mentioned, "My wife." But what's odd is that he doesn't have any photos of his wife on any social media and his family never mentions his significant other. I've also done searches on him and can't find his spouse's name. Is he lying about being married or is his wife an extremely private person? |
Posted: 19 Nov 2015 01:04 PM PST My husband and I have been together for about fifteen years, we have children, he started to become disconnected from me emotionally and no longer wanted to be intimate. He started seeing another woman but says they never had sex, it was more of an emotional connection. He discontinued seeing her and says that its up to me if I want to work on saving our marriage, however if I decide to move on he is fine with that as well. Not sure if I should move forward, I love him but I don't want him to stay if his heart is not with me. He sometimes seems so unhappy and withdrawn, it seems as if I can't say or do the right things around him anymore. |
