Question: Calling on all ladies with engagement rings or wedding rings!? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 10:59 PM PST Can you post lovely pictures of your ring on your hand on my forum? I'm trying to build a picture database of rings on women's hands so other women searching for rings have a convenient place to go and look at what the rings might look like on similar hands as theirs. THANKS! Here's my new site, still in its baby stages! http://weddingbellas.weebly.com/ |
Question: If you break off an engagement does that mean the relationship is over? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 07:45 PM PST I am engaged to my daughter s father. However, our relationship is very rocky and not super healthy. I would like to be with this person, and I would like for my daughter to have both parents together. But I am not ready to marry this person. I would like to give the relationship some more effort though and I am afraid if I give the ring back after all our family and friends know about the engagement it might doom us. Do you think everyone would understand that we need more time to figure out if we truly should be together? |
Question: Sand ceremony song question? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 07:31 PM PST I really like the song "I wanna grow old with you" from the Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler. Would this be a good song to play during the sand ceremony part of the wedding or is it too cheesy? |

Question: How do I tell my parents I'm engaged ? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 02:50 PM PST I'm 19, my fiance is 26 We have been dating for quite a while now.. But the thing is , my parents are pretty strict of my education , and trust me , I know where they are coming from . I'm only 2 years into college , have a full time job , and will be starting dental assistant classes in December to get a "certificate" which is what they want. We have talked to my parents about us getting married and they didn't react so good about it. We are thinking of telling my mom first , and then the rest if the family on thanksgiving day. I'm just nervous that my dad and brother will start an argument .. We decided that we care about their opinion , but we can't let them decide for us. We are both financially stable, and very responsible . We actually don't want a wedding, we want to make a down payment for a house, we have some money saved up already . What do y'all think? |
Question: Was I wrong for not going to this event I was invited to? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 02:46 PM PST Someone in a family that my husband and I are acquainted with is getting married and their family invited us to attend the wedding shower. We aren't particularly close to them and half the time we get vibes like they don't really care for us. Anyway, we got a last minute invitation 2 days before the event while everyone else was invited 10-14 days at least beforehand. The truth is that we just didn't want to go. A lot of people where we live have been getting married recently and we are tired of the whole shower/wedding/reception scene. Just the thought of going to another one gives us anxiety. So we didn't go. Considering that we weren't close to them and got a last minute invite as if we weren't their first choices to attend anyway, would you say that we were wrong for not coming? We both want them to have a happy wedding and marriage we just don't want to be a part of it. And we want then to be surrounded by well wishers, we just don't want to be in that number. |
Question: Why would anyone spend a ton of money on a dress...? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 02:09 PM PST Just because Vera s wang has been in it? Seriously, a marriage license and a trip to the courthouse... That s all the budget you need. |

Question: Do you think some people are not to get married? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 12:39 PM PST I for one do. In fact, I think many people who should not marry do it anyway. |
Posted: 23 Nov 2015 11:45 AM PST So I went to a wedding this weekend, and when it was time to catch the bouquet, it was thrown, I almost caught it and touched it, however it slipped my fingers and it went to someone else (who is married by the way!) will that still bring me luck? |
Question: What kind of bridal shower do you plan for someone who doesn't drink? Isn't girly? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 09:36 AM PST My sister in law is getting married. Her sister, two friends and I are in her bridal party. We are all trying to gather ideas on what to do for a bridal shower. She doesn't drink, doesn't like spas, or sports. I remember for my bridal party/shower we went on a pub crawl, and then rented a hotel room for a night with a pool, and hot tub. Renting the hotel room could be a option but with no drinking, I don't know how much fun she'd have. |
Question: So my bestfriend scheduled her wedding when I was planning on having my vacation.? Posted: 23 Nov 2015 09:18 AM PST My friend is having a court wedding so it should last about 30 min and she wants me to be there. I was planning on it until I found out it got put on the date I was planning on being on vacation. I have been saying that was my date for months but I have not yet booked anything waiting for my bf vacation to be approved. I start a new job right after so I was planning on being on vacation right before it starts and right after I graduate and am done with finals, so it is a one week window. I dont know when the next time ill be able to take a vacation is and i was getting so excited for it. Is it wrong that I want to go on vacation? Should I cancel my plans to go to her wedding? There is no reception or ceremony to go to. Sorry for this being garbled. Clarifications: this is my only week out of a two year span i can go on vacation. I have told her this but she didnt pay attention to the date i said I am one of three people invited other being their moms so i feel pressure to go I am not a sensitive/emotional person and most of my friends are guys so I have the same views on this as them. I am looking for advice on how you should feel (if u r more sensitve) if it is right to go since i havent booked my flight yet |
