Lately she's been getting all pissed off because I poke fun at the stick she has up her ***. She won't even talk to my funny stoner friends because she's against drugs. How can I kick her off her high horse? |

Posted: 26 Nov 2015 04:17 PM PST I used to think that my friend, who I consider to be one of my closest friends, thought of me in the same way, and I felt like our friendship was special. However, I now find that this person acts like a best friend to many people. They could meet someone once, then start chatting really closely to them and in a very intimate way. They could sit close to them in a film and snuggle up to them. They text people they've only known for a month very frequently, on a nearly daily basis, as though they were BFFs. When I found this out, I felt like I did not know where I stand. I suspected that I was being misled in some way - that I had been made to feel like a best friend when I wasn't. I also found their behavior hard to understand. Of course I understand wanting to socialize with more than one person, but why would you want to seek out people to be super-close besties with ; when your closest friend (me, supposedly) is right by your side? The only way I find myself being treated differently is that I am always around this person and I am probably the person that they have the most contact with. Also, a lot of the time, when others are around, they disregard me completely - this makes me feel hurt and confused. Could someone shed some light on this sort of behaviour. What does it signify. Is it some kind of attachment or personality disorder or a personal flaw? |

Posted: 26 Nov 2015 03:55 PM PST Before i start describing, i am going to tell you i am in college and being there a huge majority of people use this app called Yik-Yak where you can basically say anything and it is only for people in college areas. Ok so i am going to describe my two friends i am jealous of Friend 1: She is jealous of me because of my curvy body and i am jealous of her because guys always flirt with her and all the time on YikYak, they are always complimenting her. One time someone on that app said they would totally "wife her up" and they also talk about how her outfits always look nice. I always wonder why the hell she would be jealous of my butt when she gets attention from guys. Friend 2: Well i wasn't really jealous of her until someone on Yikyak said they had a crush on her and when they were describing her, i somehow came up in it. They called me "the ugly lightskin girl that thinks she is cute because she has a big butt." Idk but that really offends me and that is the only reason i am jealous. Also this friend has really short hair and recently got some hair in and this makes me mad because i just got my hair done too and i feel like everyone is going to compliment her and not me. Now i shouldnt be jealous but i cant help it. Whenever im talked about on YikYak its always something mean or something about my butt. Like its annoying. I wish someone had a crush on me or would call me "wifey material" i mean it would be nice... well i guess no advice for me huh? |

In june he always came down to my directed study in the cafeteria to fill up his water bottle. One time I went to his directed study to fill up my water bottle and he walked up to fill up his water bottle at the same fountain even though there was another fountain there. He was also tapping his fingers on the fountain while I was filling it up. He looked at me sometimes in the hall as well. Two times this year as soon as i passed him in the hallways he turned his head completely in my direction. Also this year I was glancing around the room and he was too and as soon as he saw me looking around he quickly looked away and down at his desk this happened two times in a row. Does he like me? Also today I was walking in the hall I didn't say anything just walking and he said "what's up?". Was he sayign this cause he wanted to talk to me? Also last week me and my friend were the only ones in the hall and he was walking down the hall and he saw us and glanced over two times. Another time I was talking to my friend and from a distance I could see him staring at me even when we started walking to class he was staring at me while I was talking to her. Also this week I was talking to a aid teahcer and being friendly and he was looking at me from across the room. But is it not that safe??? I've seen weirdos on it and avoided most of them. And I met my Internet friend there, too. I still wander how can she live with herself knowing she put me through and full hate for me when I was just being a friend, we never talk or see eachother again she move on and happy, I'm just depress, guilty, sometimes wanna kill myself when think about her or cry |

So I threw the food and milk at his mom and called my mom to pick me up and my mom brought me home. He lives right across the street from me so I walked over with my parents permission and saw his toad! I asked If I could have it because I have never had one and he was really nice and said he will ask his parents but his parents said no!! I said WHY!!! you jerk!!! So I hit my friend and kicked him to the floor and took the toad cage and tried to run to my house with it! He chased me and said stop!! give it back so I kept running and than he got to me and tried to take the cage away but I refused and he started crying so I took the toad out of its cage and let it go in the forest and than smashed the cage and threw it on my friend and he was really sad and crying so I went inside my house. | Question: How to sneak roommate into dorm? Posted: 26 Nov 2015 12:47 PM PST My dorm has a stupid policy that someone can stay over only 3 consecutive nights but 15 nights a semester. My best friend is visiting and she's already stayed three nights so I have to sneak her into the dorm. The way they keep track of this is we have to leave our ID's at the front desk and we always have to check in and give them our ID's if we are in the dorm, and there is always someone at the front desk. How do I sneak my best friend in without them seeing? I had an idea about putting her in a suitcase but she won't fit |

When she's talking to people sometimes she'll raise her voice and be loud, and it'll be high-pitched and very annoying. I wouldn't mind this maybe, but most people look at her disgusted when she does that. She goes up to random strangers and starts talking. Like spark up a convo. I don't mind saying, "Hey." or "How's your day!" Because that's being nice. Like for example today she started talking to this guy and then invited him to sit with us to eat! And then my Dad was like, "No, we don't know him." And I said the same. She was like: "God is watching you. And he was kind, we should invite him to sit was us." And there's this guy that rooms with my uncle, and my mom is basically my uncle's caretaker because he's disabled. Anyway his roomate is. She started to give him gas when he would bring Uncle Greg up here and now he does it alot because she gives him gas. And he expects it now too, and I told her that. She said, "Stop being so mean! He has a disability and you are being rude. Being kind and accepting towards everyone, and I'm going to give him gas." My Dad is trying to consult with her to stop but she keeps saying she needs to be more "kindhearted" I don't know...what should I do. I want to talk to her about this because people get annoyed. When I first started working there, I got along with basically everyone, but almost all of them quit and were replaced with these teenagers who work at the high school right next to the McDonald's I work at. After that, my relationships with my new coworkers have been not good. They're arrogant and see me as a joke since I'm a little mentally slow. Now my relationship with these teenagers have deteriorated. I don't like any of them a single bit and they don't like me either. They always try to boss me around like they're managers. They're regular crew members like me, and they're constantly telling me stuff like "Can you clean up this mess?", "Can you sweep the floor?", "Can you,make,me,a large fry?". It pisses me off to be honest. I don't mind if the commands are from a manager, but they're young 17 year old crew members just like me. They don't have the power to boss me around like that. They also get mad at me for "not doing anything". Managers tell me to stay on front counter and don't move or do anything else, and don't help out with the fries or drive thru or anything. Later, a crew member calls me a "lazy ***" for just staying on front counter. I tell them I'm just doing what the managers tell me and they still continue to call me "lazy ***". They even threaten to smack me. How do I deal with these coworkers who insult me? What were to happen if it escalated physically? There's this one guy who I specifically do not get along with. At first, we were cool and friends and all, but we don't get along anymore. He's such a jerk. He works at the grill and I'm a cashier, and sometimes a customer might have received the wrong food and I have to tell the grill people "can you make a ____ please?", and the guy tells me "you go make it yourself" in a hostile manner. What were to happen if I talked back and we got into a heated altercation? How should I deal with him? Since I'm a cashier and not a grill person, I'm not allowed to do anything near the grill. |

Got along very well. A lot of physical contact. Building trust. Getting to know each other in ways most other friends don't. We went out 2 days ago for a mutual friend's birthday got pretty drunk. By the end it was just me and her left, when she dropped me off she asked if she could come in and use my bathroom urgently. We're both 20. She came inside and went. I turned on the kettle so long as I usually drink tea or hot chocolate before I go to bed. She came out and said "You making coffee for me?" and I said "Of course. You want some?" She then said "I do but I should probably get home." Which is fair she actually had to get up early for a course she's doing. She then came up and hugged me for at least 2 minutes. Went outside to her car and the same thing happened again. Got the urge to kiss her but I got cold feet as I usually do. I've been quite busy the last two days and have no airtime. tried texting her yesterday and she was responsive but not very into it. Tonight I asked her how her day was and she just said "Pretty good thanks and yours?". usual reply from me and she just never responded after that. We have a group chat between a bunch of us and she messaged on there(including with me). What is the best course of action here? I have very little experience with women so I'm at a loss. |

I want to sleep over at my best friend's house (I swear he isn't my boyfriend and I have no feelings toward him) but my mom absolutely cannot know (dad isn't in the picture). I know that I will be perfectly safe with this boy, we are very close and I trust him a lot, and we think it'd be fun to have a sleepover. his parents won't care at all, but my mom would most likely say no. I can't ask her or she will be suspicious! I was thinking that I can tell her I'll be sleeping over at my friend Julie's house who lives close but I'm worried she'll want proof or something. I know this is very risky... so honestly I don't want any answers like "you're too young to have sleepovers with boys don't be so irresponsible blah blah blah" I know exactly what my situation is. The thing is she is obviously not being parented or something because she is so disrespectful and honestly doesn't know her place. Especially when she has friends over (like today) she thinks she is the **** and can do or say anything. Today, (thanksgiving hahahah) I saw her and she was wearing all of my clothes but since its thanksgiving i didn't want to start **** so i was like "hey thats shirt" and like playfully pushed her and she got super defensive saying it was her friends (...?lol) and then when i proved to her it wasn't she was like "oh i'm so sorry I'll change then" and then turned to her friend and was like "I'm not changing hahahahahha" and they both laughed. My guy friend was talking about me and I guess the girl (let's call her Ashley) well Ashley overheard him talking about me and she tells my guy friend "she's skinny, she's ugly, she's a *****" "how do you know her" but the funny thing is I think I look better than this girl and she is like way skinnier than me. Ashley would give me really dirty looks and say in front of me "hey where's her ex and his girlfriend" and she would look at me with her friends and start laughing. My friend also overheard Ashley say "let's walk past her so we can give her a dirty look" and I had a class with Ashley she would look at me with her friends and start whispering and give me the most evil looks. One time she was telling her one of her friends that she was going to hit me with a chair when I didn't move out of her way. So I went to my counselor and switched my class because she was always trying to pick fights with me and I kind of had to snitch on her. Then she goes writing on social media "this stupid b*tch really snitched on me because I told her stupid b*tch *** I was going to hit her with the chair" she didn't even tell me that to my face and she doesn't even know me! What do you think her problem is !? |

This was far away from here, nobody had really expensive clothes, no snobs and nobody called anyone poor. Then my family moves to live closer to my grandparents, down here everyone's got expensive clothes and stuff. They used to bully me and call me poor, untill i started fighting back, because where i came from there was always fights. I had alot more experience, so i beat up those kids, and now i'm not bullied. Then, our class merges with another school, and my best buddy starts hanging with this sissy kid who wears shirts and expensive pants and ****. The only thing we've talked about together is his "fight theory" even though he hasn't done that stuff in real life. So i laugh at him because he seems gay in love with my best friend, then he starts talking **** about me coming from a rich district, not from the "Street" and i;m a hood wannabe. I never claimed to be poor, i'm just not rich. All i've told him is that this place is full of rich *** sissies who's never been in a fight, but claims to be strong. He speaks **** to me, people have started to believe it; that i'm a "wannabe" who claims to be from "da hood". I'm about to fight this little dipshit. Because he challenges me, saying, COME AT ME BRUH! all the time, and i'm about to come at him. Kick his ***. What to tell him before this turns into a fight? Anything to tell him? He needs to learn to not talk **** and not backing it up... |

We ll call her K. Her and my brother have a pretty strong friendship and are very open with each other. They go out to eat together, work out together, and chill all the time, usually without asking me to join. I try to include myself but generally the conversation putters out or they find something to go off and do with each other. Leaving me to feel like I m hella third wheelin it in my own home. When my bro and I hang out alone we get along really well, I ve always considered him as one of my closest friends as well as my little brother. However when the three of us are together all of his attention is focused on K. And when K and I are alone she generally just gets high and finds something to watch on Netflix, making conversation extremely difficult. I ve got some social anxiety, opening up to someone I don t know very well about this delicate of a subject is turning out to be a challenge. Am I just too boring? Or is this just what everyone goes through with roommates? |

Got along very well. A lot of physical contact. Building trust. Getting to know each other in ways most other friends don't. We went out 2 days ago for a mutual friend's birthday got pretty drunk. By the end it was just me and her left, when she dropped me off she asked if she could come in and use my bathroom urgently. We're both 20. She came inside and went. I turned on the kettle so long as I usually drink tea or hot chocolate before I go to bed. She came out and said "You making coffee for me?" and I said "Of course. You want some?" She then said "I do but I should probably get home." Which is fair she actually had to get up early for a course she's doing. She then came up and hugged me for at least 2 minutes. Went outside to her car and the same thing happened again. Got the urge to kiss her but I got cold feet as I usually do. I've been quite busy the last two days and have no airtime. tried texting her yesterday and she was responsive but not very into it. Tonight I asked her how her day was and she just said "Pretty good thanks and yours?". usual reply from me and she just never responded after that. We have a group chat between a bunch of us and she messaged on there(including with me). What is the best course of action here? I have very little experience with women so I'm at a loss. |

Posted: 26 Nov 2015 10:17 AM PST I recently made a hard decision to leave my friendship behind with the girl I love because she was hurting me too much; it wasn't healthy for me, and I was unappreciated by her for caring about her well being. It's been a couple weeks, I think 2 and half to be a little more accurate. And I still think about her and I have to tell myself to stop and I'll play music and talk to friends to forget or ease the pain. But recently I've gotten messages from my female friends and one from the one I left saying I'm too nice and that's boring. I looked at myself and saw how I can be boring. School became my life right now; I want to get my degree and live it up when I have money, and the bar, and clubbing scene I've done and that's not my thing. I plan adventures to travel over seas to go back packing in Europe and to travel to Japan in the next summer. Other than that I hang with friends we go out and whatever. Sure I'm coy at first because I have feelings for them and I don't want to ruin anything.that my one downside that I see and I'm pretty sure there's more. But I never thought that caring is a problem. That's how I was raised. To be there and take care of the ones we care about and I never ask for anything in return. If I am too boring how can I change/fix that? |

Like everyone in the whole school knows (It is a small school, started last year only bout 180 people). But no one will tell me. I use the bus and every one knows me as smell girl, and hates me. Even people in church know I smell, but out of all these people no one will tell me.People hold their noses when they are around me and make fun of me behind my back. I have no friends and it is really depressing.I am a JOKE. My brother who passes me numerous times in the hall never seems to notice how I smell.I ask my mom and brother all the time and they say I don't smell.My brother once said when I asked him that I do smell and that's why no one talks to me, but then as soon as he said it he said that he was only joking. Please help me I cannot smell myself, I shower everyday and were deodrant with antiperserent. Some time I take it to school with me.I also wear perfume. In the morning I don't always smell, only if I am embarrsed then I sweat. Even if I sweat a little I smell HORRIBLE for the whole day. Am I just dirty. I am afraid to go to the shops because I can hear people whispering about me, it is so embarresing ! I am only 12 Why can't my family notice I smell like sweat. | Question: How do I find friends in a suburb of a big city? Posted: 26 Nov 2015 10:02 AM PST I'm living with my parents (divorced, 2 separate homes with equal time at each house) and I just graduated high school. I'm taking a gap year from college and will start in the fall. For now, I have a full-time job to earn money for college. However, I don't have any friends right now where I live. I went to boarding school and my friends are literally spread out all over the planet now, and the ones from my hometown are also all in college. I'll be living at home until next fall and have become pretty lonely, which isn't super healthy. My only friend is my ex-boyfriend (of about 3 days) and I still feel really awkward talking to him despite being best friends, plus he lives an hour away anyway. It's also still painful because the breakup was one-sided. Anyway, I googled for clubs and stuff, but I'm not coming up with anything. I'm a pretty antisocial person (and maybe socially awkward) but I can definitely find friends through video games and books and stuff like that. I'll (hopefully) have my driving license before New Year and I already have a car. Would hanging out at the library help? I'd join a club if I could, but they're all for high schoolers or younger kids and I have no idea how to find people my age! I don't mind hanging with high schoolers, the age difference isn't that much, but I just need find them. I prefer slightly older people though, college aged. Maybe even adults. Anyway, I guess what I'm asking for is advice on how to look for groups - youth groups, clubs, etc. I live in a suburb of Cleveland, don't go to church or temple (I'm Jewish). I'm an 18 year old girl and my interests are writing, video games, history, acting, reading, some tv and movies. Answers are appreciated! Thanks. |

Posted: 26 Nov 2015 08:18 AM PST My parents loves getting me to know some friends of their family, even though I have nothing to do with them and they need to know nothing about me. On the way home after an important test (I'm dead tired after these things), my dad drives over to a friend's house just to chat with them for about 10-30 minutes. I do not completely know them, but have heard of them sometimes. It does get boring, but also uncomfortable. I can't be rude and ask to just go home immediately. Both of my parents have this thing about them when they're around their family members, so I can't be rude in saying that I have things to do at the moment. Because whatever they are doing is more important what I'm doing. Pulling out an electronic would also be rude too, because it would show that I'm disinterested and impolite. However in this situation, I think that would have been the best solution to do. So anyways, they chat for less than an hour. It didn't seem right for me to be there, and I wanted to go home straight after that. By the time that they finished, I was irritated to the point where I locked myself in my room. While we were staying over there, I was having a headache and was very hungry (didn't eat breakfast). All this time, I just want to know why my parents like to do these things. Why do parents like to take their kids around to meet people, even though they don't want the kids to be with them while they are talking with their adult friends? |

My were divided on the idea. The guys were all for it, obviously. The girls on the other hand just thought they were perverts. I'm a guy, but personally I sided with my female friends. I didn't want to enter the club either. 1) I don't feel like spending my money on a stripper just for few a minutes of sexiness. 2) I don't want to be seen as that type of guy, especially in front of other women. I really want to be a good man to a nice girl some day. Of course when I voiced how I felt and refused the other guys teased me. They called me gay and ended up ditching me to go inside the club. So I ended up hanging out with the girls the rest of the night, but my female friends were like praising me all night. For some reason they found it incredibly cool that I turned down the strip club, and said that I'm not a typical guy. I really thought they would tease me too, but instead I was like a role model or something. So I guess my guy friends got danced on my stripper girls and I got...normal girls that I like better? IDK. But anyway, I feel im not compatible with them in any way. I m very interested in fashion and the environment and have become vegan and ive applied to a fashion school in NYC. They are interested in science and math and they dont care about fashion or anything im interested in at all really, which is totally fine and im happy for them if thats what they like, but i feel like i dont know how to talk to them anymore? Because we re not in high school anymore and even then it was hard for me. I feel like i always try to seem like im having fun with them but really im so uncomfortable and bored. Whenever we go out theyre always having conversations about things i just? dont care about... and whenever i talk about stuff im interested in they dont get it? and theyre not even nice about it. i think they look down on me bc im not going to a "regular" college and im not interested in math and science and that makes me stupid? Idk its like whatever i do is weird to them, and whatever they do is boring for me. im never myself around them and when i try its not accepted. all theyre families look down on me bc im taking a gap year and working to save money and figure some things out before i go to college, and because im vegan which they all get offended by... I know things will be better in college and ill meet people who are more like me but idk if these friends are worth keeping if we just pretend. During science class the mean girl happened to sit behind my friend & started sticking pieces of sticky notes on her back writing some trash words on it. My friend took them off & told the her nicely that she doesnt like it & to stop doing it. The girl, slapped my friend, telling her to look front. My friend remained calm & instead approached the teacher, & was told to write a complaint note to the vice principal. This pissed off the girl (as she already had a dention earlier), she confronts my friend & my friend confronts her back & again the girl slaps her. Then my friend calls the teacher again, the teacher scolds the girl & even my friend scolds her. This time the girl slaps (for the last time) my friend hard, her fingernail cut my friend on the lower lip. This is where my friend turns to rage & violently, grabs the girl, starts punching the her all over, then pulls her hair and drags her onto the floor and starts kicking, while cursing her at the top of her voice. This was obviously very shocking, I mean my friend is a short cute brunette girl. She was the type of girl where you'd not expect her to use voilence, and the other girl, who was taller, popular blonde underestimated her and liked picking on her. After this incident she never made fun of my friend... Ever. Are most quiet people like this ? coz I think its cool ;-) |
