Question: Why won't he propose?!? Posted: 29 Nov 2015 10:19 PM PST My boyfriend and I have been together over two years now. We have exchanged promise rings multiple times, have mentally planned most of what we want for our wedding and future, he has a ring (I've seen it and it's an interesting story), but he won't propose. He's taken initiative and asked my dad, told me on several occasions that he will soon, but still nothing. I don't understand this. |

Question: Fiance has two last names? Posted: 29 Nov 2015 10:24 AM PST My fiancé and I are trying to determine my name change for when we fill out our marriage license. Let's just say his name is John Smith-Jones legally but he goes by John Jones socially and only uses Smith on official documentation. I would not like to be referred to as Smith socially because everyone knows him as Jones. We would really appreciate some outside help. |
Question: What do the musicians wear to a wedding? Posted: 29 Nov 2015 10:17 AM PST My teen daughter is a part of a string trio that played holiday chamber music today for a church. A woman asked if they can play for a wedding this summer. My question is, what would they wear? I know that typical concert wear is black but is that appropriate for a wedding? If not what should they wear? |

Question: Something old something new something borrowed something blue.? Posted: 29 Nov 2015 07:20 AM PST I would like to know if my color scheme for my wedding (March) (it includes a royal blue) would take away from the meaning of the "something blue" from the traditional stance. I just want opinions on if I should incorporate it or not and why I should/shouldn t. The blue is a flower from the first dance I had with my fiancé. |

Question: Would it be weird to marry on one of these days? Posted: 29 Nov 2015 01:16 AM PST My bf and I have been talking about engagement for about 6 months or so and we even came up with a date (July 7) that we'd like to get married. However, my Mom passed away a few months ago July 8. Now I am very conflicted on whether to change the date. Very few people know that we had this date planned so they would probably think it is odd to have a wedding so close to the anniversary of a parent's death. However, part of me believes that keeping the date preserves a connection between my Mom and the wedding because she knew about it. Plus, I know she would be mad about me changing the date because of her. Another option I was thinking of is having the wedding on my parent's anniversary. But I'm not sure how tasteful that is. What do you think? |
Question: Why do people buy expensive engagement rings? Posted: 28 Nov 2015 11:49 PM PST Coming from a girl's perspective, I just don't understand it. There's men who will buy engagement rings of $1,000 and up... Why? Is it the girls that want one that expensive? I look around at engagement rings here and there, and there's some beautiful looking ones for $200-400. Why spend anymore than that... What's the point. Super curious and would like opinions on this. |
