He is 8. I split up from my ex just after he was born as we were very young. I was in contact with him until he was 3 - I was in the Army but I lost contact with him and I am really sorry about that. I served 3 years in prison and have been out for a few months and desperately want to be a good Dad for him and want him to know why I haven't been around. I want to be honest with him so he knows it wasn't my choice not to be around for the last few years but don't want him to think bad of me about being in prison. I am having a supervised visit with him this weekend but just don't know what to say? |

My second oldest daughter is the mother of my grandson, who just turned 7. Sadly, my daughter was killed in a car accident about 2 months ago. My grandson is devastated, as am I. Anyway, my grandson came to me crying, and told him about God. I didn't tell him God took his mom, but rather that he was taking care of her, and that if if we both are good, that we'll see her again one day. Now my son inlaw is very upset, accusing me of filling the kid's mind with nonsense. All I was trying to do was give my grandson some comfort, and hope! Was I wrong? |

I told him to stop and that I was concentrating on my work. He then sat up next to me, and said: "Concentrate! Concentrate! Concentrate!" I don't know if he was just joking around but he was really getting on my nerves. If this helps, he had called me names in the past, like "fat" and "ugly sl*t" and even told me to shut up once even though I didn't say anything. He also bullied me over my love of Star Wars. |

She made up something that I work too much, but in reality that wasn't the reason as I stated I would alter my work schedule for her. So, I walked away from the situation, and I didn't look back. Now, the sister of my ex and her boyfriend have been coming into my work & asking me personal quesions about me. I don't think her sister likes her current boyfriend. So, I texted my ex (first time in 4 months) asking her why her sister keeps coming into my bartending job and asking me questions. I didn't get a response. I left it alone. Questions. 1) Why didn't she respond to my text? 2) Why does the sister come in and stalk me at my job when I walked away from the situation and took the high road? |

(its been almost 2 years since i have done it). Since i reached out we have done it 6 times (in the past 2 months). All times he is cuddling with me A LOT (too much) and playing with my hair, kissing me on the forehead a lot, pulling my tight close to him to fall asleep and holding hands. He always asked me to text him when i get home and he would text me again the morning after asking how i slept/woke up/made it to work. One time i left in the middle of the night without saying goodbye. He texted me the next morning "Hey! You snuck out on me :)" like he was disappointed. He texts me every other day asking how i am doing. He finally called me. The past 2 times were more passionate and when i was leaving he pulled me in and said to cuddle for 5 more minutes. He told me he loves my smile and that he can't last long with me in bed. He does text me throughout the week even early morning to ask me how I'm doing. Kisses me when we meet and say goodbye. Now he has mentioned that he wants to hear about this class I'm taking over wine and cheese at his house. I feel ok about the whole thing but is he interested in something more? He's a doctor and busy, i work in finance and am busy. Hes 33 and I m 24. Is this a normal hookup? And they are serious. I don't know if it's because everyone is so used to instant gratification from using the internet all the time or something, but this is crazy! I've seen people be like "I can't get a date, I want to kill myself" or "I'm grounded for a week, should I just kill myself?" WTF? No. Everyone has hard times, but killing yourself is not the answer. I do my job never been reported from my residents about anything only been written up once for call outs but that's it. Posted: 11 Nov 2015 11:36 PM PST Okay, so I have a new friend who just so happened to get pregnant when her boyfriend wanted to break-up. Then, all of a sudden lost the baby. I know many women have complications while pregnant which is a terrible thing; however, I just have a hard time believing she was actually pregnant for some reason. For example, she got her menstrual cycle the previous month, then the next month (when her boyfriend broke-up with her), she said started feeling nauseous, tired, sleepy, food started making her sick, and that her stomach hurt. And claimed to be pregnant. She started texting him to tell him that she was pregnant with his baby, and wasn't feeling well cause her stomach hurt. I guess he didn't pay much attention to what she had to say, so the next day she texts him again thats she's in the hospital cause she didn't feel well. Then, a day later, she said she had lost the baby because the doctor had told her that the baby was "too weak". I honestly, just think it all seemed really fishy. Personally, when I go through a terrible break-up, I get all those symptoms, tiredness, nauseousness, food sounds disgusting, but because I'm too upset to eat or do anything. I didn't think you can get all those symptoms within a month? Can you? I've seen stupid stories about women who fake pregnancies to "keep him". I thought that only happened in TV shows. But I was wondering, do some women actually do this in real life? If so --- WHY?!? I just find that really odd. |

We went to the same school, he would come over my place, he knew my family, and I knew his. We also had a few fall outs a long the way.We semi dated, like we both ended up liking each other and we went out for a bit but then he realized he didn t want to ruin our friendship if we broke up horribly. I was mad for a while, because I really liked him and I felt like he lead me on. We stopped talking for 6 months, then we ran into each other with our families..they didn t know what happened, and it was awkward. After that he texted me and gave me another apology, and we became friends again. We were 15 and 16 at the time. We currently go to different schools and we live by each other, I see him every now and then, and I see his family often enough in the neighborhood. We re both 17 now and I recently just seen him and he gave me the biggest hug ever, and we had a small conversation. It brought up a lot of memories and emotions. I was also with me friend, he completely ignored her even though they knew each other.. Everytime I ask if he wants to hang out he always says he s busy, or he ll make up an excuse. I ve ran into his mom countless of times and she ll beg me to hang out with him like the old times because he sometimes crys that he has no friends. He ll also sometimes ignore my text when I ask him if he wants to hang out, like I m confused. He ll be very happy to run into me, but it ends there, why? |

My only problem is that my mom does not like rap music at all. She doesn't let me listen to music that has swearing and/or drug/alcohol references. When they were dating he gave her his leatherman jacket and told her she could keep it because he never wore it and he didn't really need it. He broke up with her over text and then the next day we saw him at the movies with another girl. She was so hurt and depressed that she wouldn't eat anything or talk. She just sat there quietly staring into space. As an attempt to help her get over him we burned the leatherman that he had given her. It was such a weight lifted off of her shoulders that she began eating again and being herself. Today he told her he wanted the jacket back and if he didn't get it he would get the cops involved. Please give any HELPFUL advice possible, and please nothing rude. Thank you bunches! |

She's done some very mean and hateful things with no justification other than I "deserved" it. I thought it was all behind us, then: Today is veteran's day, and I am a honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran. And today on Facebook she congratulates "all the veteran's in [her] life": my sister and her father. A nice memorial with pictures and touching sentiments, leaving me completely unmentioned. I assumed our relationship was in a good place, we talk maybe once every other week and things seem fine, but I am having a hard time not taking this offensively. Can you guys spin this as me being needy, whiny or paranoid? Or should I be upset at this? |

It s never really been a big deal but recently my friends are telling me I m not normal and borderline a freak of nature. When I was in highschool I was very insecure and overweight, but I started playing sports and by senior year I d lost all my weight, gained a lot of confidence and attention from guys. Especially the ones who used to make fun of me. Anyway, I ended up going to a small private college where the pool of men were humping everything with breast and that s just not my kind of guy. So I graduated and here I am. I m kind of at a point where I don t really want a relationship. I d much rather focus on my career and get my life where I want it before I start dating. I feel like relationships can be distracting and I d much rather focus on a career than a boyfriend. I m also really afraid of just settling for any random guy because I feel pressured to. I might have high standards. I don t want my virginity to define me either. Anyway, is this weird? Would it be strange if I just told everyone I wanted to wait a couple years to date so I could focus on my careers? She was my childhood bff and the only time we had a major argument was when I was dating him. I loved him with all my heart and even though we had fights because of my insecurities and jealousy, we stuck together till he proposed. He and my best friend got along together but I guess I was too blind to see they were attracted to each other, all those glances and that uneasiness around me. A few days before our wedding, he told me that he has always loved my best friend and that they were having an affair for the couple of months. I felt like just exploding and my head felt like rock smashed it. My ex friend tearfully told me to forgive her but I could not and for several months I went into suicidal depression. The last kick to the gut was when they got married in the same church my wedding was supposed to happen.Its been three years now and I can't move on because the rage and betrayal in me just makes feel like killing them. Last I heard, they were having a second baby and they just bought a house together. They tried to make amends with me but I can't even see their face and I have thoughts about destroying their happy life. How do I remove this pit again, I am too hurt to even date because I have lost faith in myself and love.How can they be so happy knowing their life was built based on lies and hurt.
