Question: Should I get married? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 09:35 PM PST Both of my parents were married three times before me and then they got divorced when I was 15. Now I'm at an age and in a point in my life where I can get married. I don't want to go through all that. I just want to hang out with women and have fun nothing serious. Is that weird? |
Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:57 PM PST I get VERY uneasy just thinking about marriage and it sometimes makes me nauseous. I get anxious if I think about it too much. I don't feel like I'd ever be ready for marriage, I don't see it anywhere in my future. I have no reason to be afraid of marriage. My parents marriage is wonderful, actually I'm very blessed to have parents who never fought. I'm not afraid of commitment... I can commit to everything just fine. I'm in a serious relationship right now, actually, but I just can't take that next step. Am I the only one who's experiencing this? Is this normal? Could it be possible I'm afraid of marriage? |
Question: How long could you be away from your wife/husband ? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:45 PM PST I know many people are married in their hometown and living in the USA. They go once a year and stay there for about one month. I wanna get married as well. I just could not fine a good one for me in USA. I feel more conformable to get married as someone who is the same culture with me.there is a lot of good girl here but I am just afraid to be screwed. If I am married I have to wait at least one year before I bring her he because of the papers. How do you feel being away from your wife/ husband for that long? |
Question: I feel like I will never be ready for marraige? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:44 PM PST My boyfriend and I have been talking about marriage lately. I honestly don't think I will ever be ready for marriage. I feel VERY uneasy just thinking about it, and it sometimes make me feel nauseous. I don't know why, but I'm also scared of it. I have no reason to be. I feel like I would mess up something, or it would end in divorce no matter what I do. I feel like he would cheat on me, even though he's never cheated on me before. I feel like it will become to routine after we've been married for a while... and I hate routine. I like a change up. Does anyone else feel this way? |
Question: What is marriage really like? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:38 PM PST I don't know if i'm right for marriage, or even if I want it. What is it really like? What does it take? |
Question: How come my husband thinks that I look extremely hot when I tie my shirt up in the back? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:14 PM PST I don't know why but my husband thinks that it is extremely hot when I tie my shirt up in the back. He thinks it is so sexy but I don't get how it can be sexy. How is this sexy ? |
Question: What's marriage really like? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:10 PM PST I know it depends on the people and the marriage, but I want to know in general what it's like. What does it take? I want to make an informed decision on if I want marriage or not. Personal stories, please, or the story of someone you know. |
Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:02 PM PST I always read that they're horrible and leaves people feeling voiceless, but then Sister Wives comes on and makes it seem like sunshine and lollipops. |
Question: What can I give my husband for our 2 year anniversary? Hes very picky on stuff? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:02 PM PST Any suggestions? Our anniversary is coming up in 2 weeks and idk what to get him |
Question: How do you know ahead of time if you are right for marriage? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 07:48 PM PST Are there any qualities that I need to have before getting married? What should I expect? How do I know I'm marrying the right person? How do you know ahead of time if you are right for marriage? Any other things you need before you get married...? Are there cretin personalty types that are more likely to divorce? I feel like I'd be too independent for marriage or don't have what it takes. I don't want marriage, but I think I kind of do. I don't know. I need to know what it's really like first... but I don't want to get divorced to find out. Personal stories are appreciated. |
Question: Marriage , kids and divorce? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 07:41 PM PST My wife and I are definitely at our rockiest. We both at times have just asked the other if we think we should just get a divorce. She and I barely talk , especially since she is pregnant. She also tells me that if I don't want to be here that I don't have to worry about the kid I made with her. ( which I am fine with ) She even told me if we go our separate ways that she doesn't want anything to do with me and will just find it a relief for her and her 4 biological kids . Her 4 kids have taken this news of their mother and I separating on different levels. The oldest child seems to be the most hurt by it , He is as hurt as any 14 year old boy knowing his new "SF" for a little over a year and a half should/could be. Her 12 year old seems to be hurt by it too but he is not much for showing it . While her 7 and 5 year old are in complete la la land. all 4 kids have sat there and asked me why I am leaving and so I respond with something as honest as I can be . Ive told them that its tough being a beat bag and taking the heat for all that they " do " or " don't do" and that I can not handle children who do not listen and yet I am expected to just love and take care of them unconditionally . I told them all that if it was what they wanted out of all of this then they are getting their way . I am also tired of my wife being the show runner. I can understand if I made no money , or did nothing for her and her kids. but since I do my half I expected different. what to do ? |

Question: Homemade gift ideas for boyfriend? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 07:18 PM PST So ill give you a little background information......I have a 23 year old boyfriend who lives in California and we are meeting at the airport next week and I want to do something sweet and special but I want it to be meaningful. I don't want anything inappropriate please. I'm 18, I dunno if my age matters but just so you have it, I'm also a girl. I would rather not do anything super girly :) Any idea at this point would be helpful. Thank you!!! |
Posted: 27 Nov 2015 07:14 PM PST It makes no sense to me! he is missing her life, he is missing her grow up! He justifies it, but I feel like he's just living out some deluded fantasy and trying to make easy money while having his ego stroked.. Am I wrong? Should I be less critical? |

Question: My boyfriend puts his hand on my thigh and..? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 06:46 PM PST My boyfriend is a freshman and I'm a sophomore. Lately he's been putting his hand on my inner thigh and wow I guess it's a big turn on for me because I get so overwhelmed when he does it and it really turns me on. My heart beats faster and I feel so turned on. The feeling is realllllly intense and overwhelming but I love it. I'm a virgin so that might be why it's so easy to turn me on idk. Is that weird to have a reaction like that?? |

Posted: 27 Nov 2015 05:06 PM PST So this may be a little bit of a longer one. I have been with the same woman for over 10 years. We have a 3.5 year old daughter together. We have been married for four of those years. The past two-maybe even three years things havent been that great. In fact, some fights have have been extremely unhealthy and disfunctional. We are both the same age, 32. We both have our set of friends, mainly by choice. She doesnt really enjoy the company of mine nor I hers. We both adore, love cherish our daughter. Things were not always bad, this woman was my life for years. Theres not a thing I wouldnt have done for her. However, things lately have just fell apart. I moved out a few months ago due to the fighting, however when I would get off of work, I would come home to see my daughter, by the time she would go to bed, I was too tired to leave, so I would sleep at our house. I heard a saying, that the flame went out in the relationship? And i could now understand it. For years she was numb to me, and I was the one trying to be affectionate. Now that the relationship has hit near rock bottom, she is the one trying her hardest and I am numb. I feel as if I have fallen out of love with her. So lets go back about 8-9 months ago. I met a woman via work that was extremely outgoing, a tad bit younger, but just fun to be around. There were times I spent a few hours after work with this woman, we clicked. And not just clicked, but clicked in all the right ways. I know this might sound cliche...but every characteristic I wanted in my wife, she has. There was that instant connection. I wasnt looking for anything, i thought maybe it was a replacement because I was unhappy at home..but it wasnt..it truly wasnt..this woman and I meshed in ways I cant explain. So after about 6 months, I slowly weened her off, because I knew it wasnt right. I poured my attention and focus in my relationship at home, but it wasnt there. She was trying, I tried, but within a week of me putting 100% in we got into a fight. So naturally I went back to seeing the other woman. Two more months went by, and I ended it with the other woman. Its been 2 weeks. I cant stand the thought of not seeing my daughter. I cant stand the thought of hurting my wife, but I also know being miserable is not benefiting anybody. I also have thought about it numerous times, If i truly let the other woman go, and in a year my current relationship dosnt work out, which is inevitable in my eyes, what if I blew a chance with someone that could have been my second chapter in life? I cannot exlain, this is not infatuation, its not me looking for an excuse or a replacement, this other woman and I clicked the second we met. Im not looking for any answers, or someone to tell me what to do because I dont have the balls to do it, some advice would be greatly appreciated. One part that got cut out...since the two weeks I have ended communication with the other woman, not a second, minute, hour or day goes by I dont think about her. I thought it would go away, but it hasnt at all. I come home, see my wife, and feel nothing. Its wrong, but its the truth. Shes such a great woman, but our differences, our fights, years of unhappiness, have caught up, and trying to rectify it now, i feel like its too late. |

Posted: 27 Nov 2015 04:58 PM PST My cousin who is more like a brother to me since we have grown up together has a best friend named Steve. Steve and his wife Kayla got married at a young age and they have a beautiful 8 month oldl daughter. Steve recently got caught cheating with an underage girl. Kayla, in a spiteful state decided to have oral sex with my cousin last night. My cousin told me ( i wish he never did) . I dont want him to be the reason why they are getting a divorce and end up losing his bestfriend. I want to be loyal to my cousin but morally this seems messed up. |
Question: POLL: Is marriage becoming obsolete? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 04:46 PM PST I'm 36, never been married, and out of my entire group of close high school friends, only two of them are married. The main reason why none of us have ever married is because it's just so easy to get sex in this day and age. Go to the club, buy a strange woman a few drinks, get laid. We have plenty of variety nowadays, and don't need to be tied to one woman to ensure steady sex. |

Question: Is it normal not to want to date again after divorce? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 04:04 PM PST I was married for 6 years to what I thought was the woman of my dreams until one day she revealed to me that a) she had been "out of love" with me for the past 2 years but didn't know how to tell me and b) she was pregnant, and being that we hadn't had sex in months, it obviously wasn't mine, and c) she wanted a divorce. Add insult to injury, when I moved out, her new beau moved in immediately. It's been 4 years now, and I've since moved on with one exception--I have absolutely no interest in dating anyone at all. I can talk to girls, but if I start getting a hint that they are taking a liking to me, I stop taking their calls. My brother as a favor introduced me to a girl to try to get me back into the game, and we did end up going on a date and having a nice time. However when got to watching a movie and she laid her head on my shoulder, I felt annoyed and in my head, I was like "Lady, do you mind?" When I was taking her home and I said something about my place, she giggled and said it wasn't a good idea because she was a bit "undersexed"...and for some reason, that just soured the whole evening, and I didn't call her afterwords. It's the same thing now, I have been talking to a girl now, and she mentioned that she was a hopeless romantic--and it's like that was a red light for me, making me not want to take any more of her calls. Is it normal to feel anti-romantic after being divorced, like you've been through the whole book and there's nothing left? |

Question: Is my ex wife wrong for acting like this? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 02:47 PM PST I recently had an affair with my ex wife behind my new wife's back. My new wife is the woman I cheated on my ex wife with so as you can imagine my ex is holding our recent fling over my head. I was w my ex 8 years and have 3 kids, I'v been w my new wife 5 years no kids. Since our divorce almost 5 years ago I have always sort of missed my ex and never really feel out of love with her. My new wife gave up her whole family(they didn't approve of me) to be with me. Now I feel awful leaving my wife and I do still love her not just a deep love, I think it's my ex wife I deeply love but now she's making my life hell. Does she really have the right to get even just because I won't leave my recent marriage and because I cheat on her years ago when we were married? |

Posted: 27 Nov 2015 01:52 PM PST I asked her why and she said she just wanted to do it. I used to spend a lot of time down there. Possibly she's worried kids will hear her. |
Question: Can a stepparent get shared custody of a stepkid in a divorce? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 11:02 AM PST My parents broke up when I was 2 days old, they weren't married. My mom died when I was 1 and pretty soon after I ended up with my dad, he met his wife, who became my stepmother when I was 2. They have 3 kids together and are now divorcing after 14 years. I've never considered my stepmother my mom or called her anything other than her first name. She always tried to get me to consider her my mom, even asking if she could adopt me when I was 12. I think it was my refusal to give her that title that put a strain on their marriage. It did cause a lot of problems over the years, even though I kind of loved her, I don't think I gave her what she wanted. Part of it, I think, is because I still had contact with my moms family and my dads family always talked about her and said how much she loved me and how she'd been a good mom to me. So I grew up loving my mom more than my stepmother. So now that they're getting divorced, my stepmother wants to share custody of me as well as my younger siblings. I've told them both I don't want that. However, my stepmother said it's not up to me and after 14 years, she will have rights to me. Is there anything I can do? I think my dad is on my side, though I don't think he would say no to her either. |

Posted: 27 Nov 2015 09:55 AM PST My wife's in a custody battle over her daughter with her ex. We're married, but my wife only brings in about $500 a month because she's working part time at a gas station. Will they consider my income sense were married? And will she lose custody of her daughter because she makes this much if they don't consider both our incomes? I make around 2,500 a month at the moment. I just started a new job. |

Question: What's the longest you've known someone to be engaged for? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 08:26 AM PST I'm no where near ready for marriage (I'm 19.) My boyfriend is 25 and ready to start his life. I don't want to get married until I'm finished with college, in a stable career, and feel emotionally ready for it. So it will pretty much be 7+ years until I'm ready for marriage. He wants to ask me next year sometime, but that would leave us being engaged for 6 years. What's the longest you've known someone to be engaged for? I feel like that's too long. Maybe we should break up for now? Either way it doesn't make sense to be in a relationship that long, well at least to me. I should clarify.... It doesn't make sense to be in a relationship that long (boyfriend/girlfriend, without getting married,) well at least to me. |
Question: Why does it turn me on that my wife is much larger and stronger than me? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 07:37 AM PST Why does it turn me on that my wife is much larger and stronger than me. I'm almost a foot taller but she out weighs me by 150 and could take me down with out breaking a sweat. I feel embarrassed around my friends and her friends when she bullies about it but deep down, it really turns me on. Anyone else have this? Why does it turn me on that my wife is much larger and stronger than me. I'm almost a foot taller but she out weighs me by 150 and could take me down with out breaking a sweat and can easily lift me off my feet. I feel embarrassed around my friends and her friends when she bullies me about it but deep down, it really turns me on. Anyone else have this? |

Question: Was i right or my wife? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 06:17 AM PST Yesterday, we were about to leave and we both wanted a drink. She wanted Starbucks and i said no... $12 to them is not worth it. I just wanted a $2 coffee from the gas station. (Her and i are doing that Dave Ramsey thing with our money). I got mad and was disappointed with her for a few hours. But now i feel dumb, because im about to suggest we go do some black Friday shopping ($100-$300)to start ouur Christmas. |
Question: Dating after divorce, parents tell me to leave him alone? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 06:15 AM PST I'm just entering the dating scene since my divorce last summer, I am dating someone outside my culture which is new to me. He is from Haiti and I am Black American. Well, we went on date and ran into my mom while we were out so I introduced him to my mother. My mother didn't say much but asked him questions like where is he from since she heard his accent, and she also asked him if he knew Jesus. My mother is a devoted Christian by the way. Long story short, weeks later my mother told me to leave him alone because Haitians do Voodu and Witch craft and she doesnt trust them. Now this bothered me because how can someone assume all people from one country are the same. My ex husband was American and Christian but still divorced me because he was tired of being married. My mother and I got into a argument because it seems like any guy I am interested in she brings in that God tells her something bad about them. So that makes me feel that God doesn't want me with anyone. How can I overcome this feel? I am starting to really like the Haitian man, I have not felt this feeling in a long time since my divorce. I am 26 yrs old. |
Question: Wife caught me cheating and I'm not sure what to do next? Posted: 27 Nov 2015 02:45 AM PST Ok so here's the deal. My wife caught me cheating. I was in my car in the parking lot at my job and she was calling my phone. I didn't answer so she drove to my job. She got out the car, cursed me and the girl out. Then she told the girl I'm with that she can have me and that she's moving on. This morning, my wife texted me and told me that she wants to get her name off the car she helped me get and she's ending our lease in thirty days and she's moving out.and she said i need to find a way to get my stuff. She hasn't once mentioned the affair and she said she is leaving me alone for good and good luck. She said she doesn't want child support or spousal support or nothing from me but that she just wants to be left alone and that i can keep the car she helped me get. So my question is, do u think she will come back or do u think i can let her cool off for a while and let the other girl go? |
Posted: 27 Nov 2015 02:09 AM PST Not what happened in my case, but i see so many great fathers that are pushed to the side due to court rullings or controlling mothers during divorces. |

Question: I want to leave my husband but....? Posted: 26 Nov 2015 09:40 PM PST I want to leave my husband but I have no where to go and little money. We have two children together and I barely make enough to afford a one bedroom apartment. I also have an eviction on my credit. My husband is not abusive but he's controlling and I'm about to lose my mind because I won't to leave so bad. I don't have any friends or family I can talk to because of him. My only other option is to live with my mom but she is bipolar and her home is infested with bed bugs. |
