Question: What is guest etiquette for a Vietnamese wedding? Posted: 15 Nov 2015 11:38 AM PST I've been invited to my first Vietnamese wedding. The ceremony starts at 2 and the reception starts at 6. I'm pretty sure the ceremony will not last for 3/4 hours, so I'm assuming I'll have to go back home and wait for the reception to start. This is strange to me since American receptions immediately follow the ceremony - no need to go home. So, is this true? Will I need to go home after the ceremony? Also, do I change? Is it normal to wear the same dress or should I change. Is there a certain dress code for the ceremony and the reception? |
Question: My husband doesn't want me to attend my mother's wedding? Posted: 15 Nov 2015 10:50 AM PST I love my mother but this is her FOURTH marriage and I'm sick and tired of seeing her remarry over and over again. We don't really have a good relationship because my husband and her don't really get along. I'm always dragged in the middle between their drama and I'm tired of choosing sides. My mom wants me to go because she says this time it's serious and she has been happy with her new man but my husband told me last night "I better not" go in an or else kind of way. I don't want to start any drama. What should I do? |

Question: Since I wear size 7 in shoes what is my ring size? Posted: 15 Nov 2015 08:26 AM PST I found this really beautiful engagement ring online but my boyfriend and I don't know our ring sizes. |
Question: How much could a wedding dress be shortened? Posted: 15 Nov 2015 08:20 AM PST I love this vintage wedding gown. The seller measured it 64 inches long in the front, and 75 in the back with the train. The problem here is that I am only 5 feet tall, so that we mean I would need some major hem work done. The dress' waist, bust, and shoulder measurement are very close to my own. So, is that a doable alteration? The dress is layered, would a seamstress be able to remove some of the bottom layers to fit the dress to me? I am adding a photo of the dress. |
Question: Can my sister and I do our parents 25th anniversary speech together? Posted: 15 Nov 2015 12:50 AM PST Both of us are very scared of public speak and we figured if we make a speech and each do separate parts it would take away the pressure. What do you think ? |
Posted: 14 Nov 2015 11:25 PM PST So you always hear about wedding season. Well when is wedding season? And can t weddings be all year around? Just curious always thought about a summer wedding but now thinking about a winter one.. what do you think? |
