I ve never had a boyfriend (due to a bunch of reasons) and now I feel really lonely and I just want some intimacy. My problem is that everyone else is already so experienced and it scares me because I m playing catch up. So even when guys show interest, I ignore it or push him away because I m scared that he ll judge me for not knowing how to kiss/be intimate or that he will want to take things too fast. Back in high school it was normal for people to be inexperienced so people just taught each other and took their time. Now, not so much. I understand finding a guy who won t judge me and will go at my pace is important and I need to communicate my feelings with him. Posted: 02 Nov 2015 07:18 PM PST Friday she was acting a little different and I told her that she was acting a little rude and I didn't know why because she was being kinda mean. That night I texted her and she kept giving me one word responses so I left her alone. She then told me later that she was testing me and I failed and all that which I felt horrible about. I told her that I'm trying really hard to be the best guy that I can be and sometimes I mess up. She told me that she understands and that we will work it out. Saturday we went out for Halloween and just talked and we hugged. I said something that upset her and I apologized and she said it was alright and we hugged for awhile and we carried on. She then said that she knows I want to kiss her, which I did. So after that we kissed twice. Later that night we kept talking and holding each other and we ended up kissing 3 more times. She also told me that we're practically dating already and planned on going to semi and prom. The drive home we held hands. Sunday I texted her and she basically ignored me that night. Monday in school she was acting weird in the halls, she was short. My friend told me that she said she feels awkward around me and that she doesn't want to date. I've been pretty upset about all this. I texted her about it and she told me the same thing and I thanked her for all the good times and told her that I'm always here if she ever wants to talk but what happened in the last few days since Saturday? |

His name is Sam, he s really nice, funny, and cool (I could go on, but let s get to the point.). We both go to different schools, but we are doing/have done musicals at our community theater. He wanted to ask me out. I could tell. I'm being honest, and I will swear on my cat. Well, my service was going in and out, so I said goodbye and stuff. Charlie, another girl who does community theater, asked him out. You don't say no to charlie. That's a no-no. She comes off as hurtable. Fragile, even. Sam wouldn't say no. No one would, she's that... Charlieish. Long story a little bit shorter, I'm stuck suffering silently. It's really affecting me. Too much. Emotionally. She is extremely pretty and well I`m just a standard guy. haha. In all honesty she is out of my league. =/. She sits in front of me, one seat to the left. She is always looking back in my direction. Whenever someone enters the room she looks back in my direction (the door is behind me as well.) But I have noticed that she makes eye contact with me. I am very shy and awkward and usually look away really fast. xD. Note: She looks at me, without expression, I look at her, she maintains the same expression, and I look away. She will sometimes look away as well. Sometimes she will also look in my direction with the corner of her eye. Today I entered a room where she was in to talk to a friend (at the other side of the room) and noticed at the corner of my eye that she was looking at me. They lived together for almost as long. They broke up in January, he lived in the house until March, which is when we met and started dating a few weeks later. His ex moved to Utah to work as a wildland firefighter and has been out there since early March. He told me that he realized a year into the relationship that it wasn't going to work, and they were just going through the motions after that. She broke up with him, but it was practically mutual. She has two dogs that she couldn't bring with her when she first moved. She was planning on coming down here (georgia) over thanksgiving to pick them up, but ended up having to work that week. She called my boyfriend and asked him to drive the dogs out to Utah, and that she would pay for his gas and hotel. The thing is though, he actually said something about staying in the house with her. By himself. I love him and I completely trust him, but the fact that he would even consider something like this makes me want to throw up. It makes me think that he's not the kind of person I thought he was. Am I wrong for thinking that this is completely inappropriate? |

We'd text and snapchat nearly every day! He'd give cute pet names (darling, dear, cutie, etc.) say cute things like 'marry me, run away with me' we'd gotten into a couple fights but they'd usually get resolved. during this semester, he was nice whenever we met up, but never planned any meetings for 'spontaneity' and even though he hates texting, we still texted a bit. for a while, it slowed, but then he'd start texting me first and getting all excited to see me. last week, i saw him in the cafeteria but he kind of ignored me, but an hour later we happened to be walkng in the same direction and he said hi and asked if i would walk him to class, so i did and it was perfect. later, we were texting and he sent a bunch of sexually uncomforting sloth memes, and when i asked to tell him a joke, he said he had to study and never responded. now, all this week, whenever i saw him, he would wave carelessly and avoid talking to me, and would later talk with others, boys and girls, and see me, but sometimes not even wave. it's making me anxious and depressed. what do i do?! |

I'm 19, and I still found some of the 16 and 17 yr olds to be cute. (But who knows how old they were because older hs girls and college girls look very similar). Anyway, there were older people (40) there too and young professionals (like 25). I just find it hard to believe that they don't find this age range attractive as well. I'm only 19, so I'm just wondering when the switch occurs. When does a male just stop thinking a beautiful 16/17 yr old or college girl is attractive and become more attracted to people in their late twenties or thirties. Like I can objectively say it would be wrong for a 40 yr old to look at a 16 yr old, but how much of it is just innate attraction. Teens are generally good looking, so at what age do they no longer appear that way? |
