So I've been best friends with this girl for 6 years. We've been really close but now this year, this new girl came. My best friend started hanging out with her, but I wasn't bothered by that. Now some months into the school year, they're inseperable and my best friend barely talks to me anymore, and I'm always left now. They even sit at a different lunch table now! She's still friendly towards me, but doesn't treat me as a friend. I feel like that girl is just changing her - I don't have a problem with that, except with the fact that now my best friend won't leave her side. I've spent so much time feeling down about this, I need to know what to do/what to say to her. I just don't know what happened. Please help!

Today at school this girl whom I always thought of as a nice girl threw my best friend's water bottle away because it was sitting at our table and she thought we were trying to save our spot at the lunch table with it. I love trying new experiences for example going to improv everywhere or even the yearly yoga event in time square. Twice I've asked my two closest friends if they wanted to join me but they refused to(probably because they are shy..idk). I used to sit next to this girl I liked (I dont like her anymore) and she would talk to me everyday in class, she would even talk to me first (even though I mostly talked to her first). And I finally talked to her in person for the first since January a week ago and I asked her how her day was and she said good with a smile on her face. I talked to her this week and when I did she didnt really seem interested in talking to me. I told her about something I saw and when I was talking to her she wasnt even looking at me. Then when I was done talking she turned around to talk to another person. I dont get the sudden mood changes!!! And how she seemed happy to talk to everyone else but me. I dont know if she thinks I like her, I never told her or really gave her any hints. I never really complimented her or flirted with her. The nicest thing I did was give her a card for her birthday. Also my cousin took my phone and texted her "Merry Christmas cutie ;)" and she never texted me back. It made me a little upset that she did this and it hurt. I have a former friend whose behaviour was irresponsible. Since his licence was suspended for six months for DUI, I got elected to drive him around. He called me on April 15 to ask for help with his taxes, as usual at the last minute. He said that his elder brother would drive him to my place, 8½ minutes away from them. Although I had errands to run, I stayed put waiting for them. Half an hour later, I called him. He said that he would be leaving his house in five minutes as he had been drinking a cup of tea and eating biscuits. I replied that if he were considerate, he would have mentioned this earlier rather than me fuming at my end. Due to incidents like this, he is no longer my friend. Was he not behaving selfishly and unreasonably?

Hey everyone. I haven't used this site in a while so bear with me. :) Anyway, I'm 14 and live in a quiet, boring town. There are tons of people my age around here, but none of them seem to want anything to do with me. I play two sports, and love cars... Here's my problem... I guess I'm at the age when kids start to grow out of old hobbies and ways to entertain themselves, but don't have as much freedom as older teens. I'd love to drive, but I'm not old enough. My town has tons of parties, but I'm not popular enough to get invited. Whenever I do get to hang out with someone, I always feel like I'm a third wheel because for some reason it seems like everyone has a girlfriend but me. I feel left out all the time, and while kids are out getting drunk and making out, I'm sitting at home with nothing to do counting down the days until football season starts. I live in a nice town, and have the tremendous privilege of being pretty well off, but something feels missing. I'm always either bored, or ripping my hair out in frustration of having to live with my grandparents and aunt. My aunt is lazy and loves to complain, and although we live in a nice 3,500 square foot house, it feels tiny when eight people are trapped inside. My younger brother is one of the "cooler kids", and is pretty much a dick, and my sister is spoiled by my aunt and grandma, and cries about anything to get her way. My dad likes to drink now and my mom's a workoholic. I guess my question is... What should I do?

I'm 13 and the guys in my class brought vape pens to school today.They said they're were no drugs or nicotine in it (believe me they aren't that dumb to actually do drugs).Anyways all of us (a few of my friends) kinda tried it once including me, I only figured out later that you aren't suppose to inhale it and I think I did.Is that bad? To make a rather long story short lets cover the basics. I'm in 9th grade and i'm 15 years old. My friends are also in 9th grade. Lets call these 2 "friends" of mines Lee and Shay. Both girls btw. The things about these two, is that they love talking, and making fun of other people. Just this morning I got into an argument with Lee because she was talking about a classmate dating a senior and how its stupid and I simply told her it was none of her business and Lee got mad and just told me to shut up.Shay wasnt't there at the moment. Usally in situations in which Lee and Shay are talking about others I ignore them and open a book or listen to some of my music, but now and days I'm getting tired of them, These two are my two close friend at my highschool, and to be honest I hate that fact. I accept people for who they are, Ex: Lee happens to be a loud person, I accept that Shay is a person who would talk about someone behind their backs and then laugh and joke with them 7 second later. That's just sadly who she is I confronted these two about their fake ways and they agreed to it(that they do talk about people). I also told them to stop talking about people when I'm near because I do not condone to such acts. This resulted in them just always whispering to each other. It's like I'm never there. Talking about others is just so gaud damnned lame and just shows how bored u are with your life. I guess I'm asking is just for some advice on what to do there are more problems and things they do that add on to why i hate them, but this was the biggest problem for me, basically do not think this is only it ^^

I have no friends at school or at home. No one likes me at school people just don't seem interested in me. I'm pretty jealous of my friend. He's fairly smart and does well in school (he has a 3.6 gpa). Everybody respects him at school and everybody and want to be friends. I have been friends with (let's call her Bella) since our first day at secondary school, and we travel to and from school together, and we're good friends. Only she's amazing and I'm not. Literally everyone wants to be her friend. She's really pretty. She's funny. She's clever. She's witty. Everything you could want to be. She's one of the only people in our year who's top set everything, she gets the best grades in the class... She's also been form captain for the whole year now, and we are only supposed to stay for a term. I don't want to say anything, because that's called being a bad friend. But I guess I could put up with that, if it weren't for the fact she's even better than me at my own interest.English, Music...she has an amazing singing voice, but completely denies it. And that bugs me, because I love singing, I want to be on Broadway when I'm older, but that's a dream and I know it won't happen because I CAN'T SING. People keep on commenting to her about why she didn't audition for choir and such, and ignore me. Someone even went as far to tell me that they'd laugh if I auditioned. Hi. So I'm in a huge dilemma right now. So I have this friend of mine at school and it was her birthday a few weeks ago and she was telling all of us to get her gifts and informed us of the day which I found a bit bitchy as in a attention seeking way. So that day I was really and tired as I had no sleep all night but right after school with my pocket money I brought lots of cake ingredients and decor and lovely gift wrappers/boxes gift bags etc. She asked me to make her fudge which she loves of mine and I make it very tasty and I promised to make her a cupcake a birthday special oreo one along with that. So I made it and the next day unfortunately I fell sick so couldn't go school. But I texted her and wished her and told her that everything was ready but I couldn't get it. So then when I did return the next few days with the gift (fudge and cake lovely wrapped iced etc - very expensive) she was away as she will ill. So I carried those all day like a fool in my bag. Luckily the cake lasted few days but then I had to be absent from school due to a severe eye infection for a week or so but had returned just not met her on the Friday I returned. I was inside a special unit at school working at lunch time as I was ill and felt feverish too. Now unfortunately the cake has gone bad despite me trying everything to save it so that's going in the bin but the fudge I'm guessing is alright. It's beautifully wrapped. Update: So then she told all of us that she will give us party invites soon. I said text it to me just in case I'm not in due to my other life issues. Now it was on the Friday I'm talking about where I was in school but couldn't go outside that she gave everyone party invites. She told me earlier on that she had invited my two other friends and the limit was 4 people in the party. So then I said well I made you so much like cake etc and told you I'll get it and you don't invite me first? She was like no no that's not the case it's just that you weren't in so I invited the rest and I was like that doesn't mean you forget me. I would have returned and you could have reserved and kept my spot for me. As in not replaced me. Or texted me that. Let's just say this boy and I used to be best friends, and while we were friends, he introduced me to all his friends. After being all chill with everyone for a couple of months, the boy and I got into a giant arguement because of some personal issues we're both dealing with. I really believe my family's background and my upbringing have made it difficult for me to make friends. Oftentimes, people who see me perceive me as "nerdy" and "white" (I am black). A lot of the people I have attempted to make friends with of the same race treat me as if I am from another world because my parents are upper-middle class. They call me a "snitch" if I contact police because of an altercation. Most people view me as stuck up or "scared" because I don't like to fight. My parents basically believe that the people in my area are all hood rats and they don't want their princess around them. I feel that my parents are just as bad as the people I am around daily. They try to make things seem as if I am better than everyone else and all I want is to at least be accepted by the people in my area (where I live). When they brag about family history to my new friends, it always gets worse (imagine sitting with people who already think you are stuck up and they hear about your family's military past). Why is it so hard to make friends here? Shouldn't I be accepted no matter what my background is or how much money my family has?

My best friend Donna moved and I never got to say goodbye. We were best friends for 5 years and over the past 3 years we had a falling out because I saw that she was going in a bad direction in life and I didn't want to get mixed up in it. I'm a 16 year old guy, my friend, "Bella" is 15. Bella's a lot of fun. She really is. But ****. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as impulsive as her. She has had sex at school, in a random car w/ a random guy, and at a party, with a stranger. She's made out with the drug dealers at school, while being a successful student. So, we went to a party. There were water bottles of vodka. Bella chugged the whole thing. She threw up in the toilet. She ****** this random guy, and dry humped him in front of everyone. Bella could barely walk up the stairs, and when she got in the car, didn't talk to my mom at all because she was too drunk to even say anything without slurring her words. She said she was too drunk to read the words on her phone. When Bella got home, she said she went straight upstairs, and had the worst migraine of her life. She facetimed at 3 am and told me how bad it hurt. She smoked hookah and weed that night. Another time she facetimed me, and her eyes were bright red. I asked if she hit a blunt, she said she was just spiking her coke with vodka, like really hard liquor vodka. She's also gotten drunk on fireball. I'm worried b/c Bella has a blood clotting disorder, which makes drinking and smoking really dangerous... but it doesn't seem like she cares at all. It was weird. I said, "Bella you could die," and she just laughed. I know that her parents are pretty rich, and they're nice people.

Hi! So in about two months I'm going to summer camp for the first time. I have no friends to go with, because none of them wants to go to a camp. I'm really bad at making new friends. All I want is to make a group of friends, and have some 'crazy'nights (wich in my world is just a night of hyper fun) I'm 14 years old, and I feel that if I don't get any crazy experienses like this while i'm a teen, I never will. it is a pretty active camp, and I'm not that good at activities /sports. Advice on how to make friends at an active camp when you're shy, bad at socializing and doing activities? (Excuse my english, it's not my first language)

So My niece recently moved from Malaysia to Chicago to immigrate and stay with my family and I. Anyways, she is 14 years old. But when I asked her if she wants to keep in touch with old friends and classmates in Malaysia, she told me she did not like them and she wants to start a new life here and cut contact with her old friends.
