So my friend always gets mad at me and my other friend. Like at least once a week she gets mad. So recently she started getting really mad and it got into this big fight. I am an introvert person with no social skills. I am also clumsy at lab. My lab partner usually do most of the work, though all there is to do in lab is pour chemicals together to react them. I usually just stand and watch and bring equipment or chemicals to them. We don't talk much, other than how to do this and that in the experiment. I see other classmates talk a lot with their partners. And me and my partner exchange few words. I think my partner does not like me because from the time we were assigned to be partners, they had an unhappy look on their face. We got a few more weeks of lab to go. Hi. Recently my best friend of about a year told me he had romantic feelings for me. Regardless of whether or not I return these feelings I am not mentally or emotionally stable enough right now to handle a romantic relationship and do not wish to. ok its a long story how I got in to it but im in a group chat with around 20-30 people from all around the world. I have never met any of these people and we talk pretty much 24,7. we all met from an app and started to talk regulary on this chat app telegram... but im addicted to it now and its taking over my life. because people are from all over the world there is always someone awake and always some chat going on. when I am not there I feel like I am missing out. I don't get it, my best friend and I have been friends for a year and we were super close, inseparable, this year were still close, but she has changed drastically. She cares way more about boys, and to smoke and drink, I don't care because it's her life, but I don't do that. She found this new friend who is really big on drinking and smoking and she's changed because of her. We keep in touch kinda, but its awkward now. Like its almost as if she is forced to talk to me. So I really want to get my psychology professor an end of the semester gift! I already was considering being a psych major, but her class has really affirmed that that's what I want to study. I've met with her once before, but my class has over one hundred students in it so she doesn't know who I am. I want to get her like a Starbucks giftcard and write her a nice note about how I enjoyed her class. I don't want to sign my name to it though, because I'm really socially awkward and I don't want attention for it. I just want it to be a nice gesture with no recognition that I can slide under the door of her office when she isn't there. Is that weird?

my wife will be going to prison for eight months for being involved in a financial crime at the company she is at. I willing to stay with her because I feel She made some stupid mistakes but it was out of character so I think she just got herself into a bad situation and make some poor decisions. And I am not defending her or saying she should not serve her punishment. I told my daughter she is rightfully serving her punishment which is the right thing for her mistakes. I am wondering what is the best way to prepare for this situation and how to handle it. I have a daughter who is 16 and she seems to be handling it fine. I told her right away about it and she reacted pretty calmly. She later joked about how "now her mother is the one being ordered around". I have no problem with that really as it is probably better to joke a bit instead of being hysterical. I am wondering if she should visit. I went and visited my wife it was one giant room with several tables and several guards around, I saw my wife at one table. She was dressed in her jail clothes. We talked for about 30 minutes then in the end the officers line the inmates up and walked them through one of the sealed doors. I wonder if I should let my daughter visit. Would it be wise to take her when she will see the prison environment, other inmates and even guards could be intimidating if I do allow her how should I prepare her ahead of time? : I managed to talk to one of the main guards that works at that jail. She said that since my daughter is a teenagers it is perfectly fine to take her. She also said use it as a learning experience (what does that mean do you think), ask your wife to be honest about what happened, and to simply present it as a punishment for wrong doing. What do you think about this?

So I'm 20 and my dad hooked me up with a good job delivering medicine using his truck and i make about 35 an hour after gas the problem is they hair drug test every 3 months so I had quit weed and that all my friend so since they know I quit they don't hit me up to chill any more and really makes me feel depressed

I have a female group of friends who meet each year for a girl's get-together. We live in different parts of the states. Some of us keep in touch more that others, but we're close. One of my friends came into town unexpectedly recently. She said that she was in town for a baby shower. I met with her for the morning and when afternoon came she confessed to me that the person she is seeing for the shower is one of our female friends. Long story short, she was nine months pregnant. All of the other girls knew except me and another girl. My heart sank into my stomach. I was upset and really angry. I understand that it was unexpected. Maybe she's upset about it, and will be raising a child alone, but it would have meant a lot--being part of this girl group--to be informed. I could have been some support for her. Now everything is hunky dorey and happy with life with her. Where before it was something to hide, now, she's posting all over FB. Is it right for me to be angry? I don't feel that close with her after she ignored some of us.

I'm 18 years old and have severe panic attacks during storms. Tomorrow there is going to be a severe storm, winds 60mph. I live in a trailer that's almost as thin as a box. Im 10 btw Every single day she asks for stuff and always get what she wants, and doesnt give anything back. Today she came over, thinks im not looking, and sneaks my gum into her pocket, the whole pack. How would you feel if you never had any long term friendships and you always struggled to fit in and make and keep nice friends? If you don't know how it's like, then don't judge. I'm a 22 year old college senior and it is very very hard for me to make and keep friends. I have never had any long term friendships ever since I was a *****ng kid. In middle and high school, a lot of people didn't want to be friends with me because they thought I was weird and ugly. This is why I wish I were normal, so it would be easy for me to make friends. I don't want to hear "be yourself," because I've done that for years and I still have no good friends. I hate myself and I want to be anyone but myself. Looking back, I have done stupid things to keep friends around (such as kissing a$$ and allowing myself to be used) but I hate when people criticize me for it because they have long term friends and I don't. I remember I allowed a former friend to take advantage of me and she owes me around $150 (and she never paid me back. I also think it was because I was a pushover, because this is the only time this happened to me that involved money. Hi so for the past week and few days I felt horrible ,getting some guilty feelings for no reason ,and feeling very sad and no energy at all. Today was one of the worst ,I see the school counselor at school and emotions issues and and its clearly stated in my IEP i can see her on a basics if needed and I needed to see her the other few days ,so I tell my teacher and he says she will see you on friday ,thats the schedule date ,it changes it goes by a school schedule. anyways ,then today I told my teacher and he went up there she she says wait it out and wait until friday. and finally today I saw her ,I think she was annoyed ,and she told me the story ,I guess the teacher left parts out ,she did say wait until friday but if I can't not wait I can see her. but I have this friend and ,the school counselor sees him as well .she separates us from eating lunch together ,only saying hi in the hall and only sit together once a week in the morning ,(i hate this plan but nobody will side with me ) my friend told her that I guess I kind of miuse the plan and was talking to him on the bus stop and she said its not in the plan and I cannot do it and then he told her I was asking him if we were friends and he said yes and then I asked if we were best friends and he said yes ,and she said he is not your friend or best friend I felt more upset then I am home now just want to cry and i just hate life right now ,it seems like nobody cares about me not even the teachers seem to care ,

I've had the same best friend since I was 10. I'm 20 now. My best friend is always there for me. He's always remembers my birthday and calls me when he says he will. He does some of the nicest things for me. He got my Taylor Swift tickets for my birthday when he was not making much money at all. He saved up for months to get them. When I started modeling when I was just out of high school. The agency I was with was degrading and he was the one who convinced me to leave and get a different job that made me much happier. He always makes me laugh. I can completely be myself around him. Things didn't work out with my last boyfriend primarily because I'm already in love with someone else: my best friend. The big problem that's killing me inside is I'm not sure if he feels the same way. He tells me he loves me, but then he tells other people I'm like his sister. Then again, I tell other people he's like my brother and that's a total lie. I have fantasies of him telling me he loves me , smothers me with kisses, and takes me to a room to make passionate love. You don't have fantasies like that with your brother. I haven't told him anything for a couple of reasons. One is I'm more tranditional when it comes to dating. I want him to have the balls to take the lead and tell me he loves me (not like a sister). Another is I'm terrified of him telling me he doesn't like me the way I like him. I've never actually been in love, and if he told me no I would be more crushed than I ever have been in my life. I don't know if I'll ever find a guy like him. I know there are plenty of guys out there, but most of them are jerks. I also don't have the same connection with them as I do with him. I don't know if I could keep being friends with him. If I saw him with another girl my heart would break whenever he was with her. I would always be so jealous and think of how she's so lucky and I'm not. I would cry a lot. Our friendship means so much to me, but if he tells me no I'm not sure I can still be his friend because just being friends would hurt too much. Can I get him to tell me if he loves me? Should I make a move and tell him I love him? If so how should I do it? What can I do if he tells me no? I think there's a 50-50 chance he'll say yes, but that ratio still scares me. Ever since I graduated high school, I have had the hardest time making real friends. I can easily make acquaintances with classmates, co-workers, etc. But once class or work is over, I'm back to being alone. I had many friends in high school, I played and excelled at sports, and generally got along with everybody. In college though, it seems like all people want to do is drink, smoke, and party. All of which I'm not interested in. I had a facebook throughout HS and a little bit in college. Every year though it seemed like i would talk to less and less people until eventually I talked to no one. I felt pathetic that I would actually let myself become sad and upset because I only got a like or 2 on a post. I didn't want to let myself be judged by a like button or something, so I just deactivated facebook cold turkey. I've been off for almost a year now, and while Im happier in one way, I'm beginning to miss it. I feel like I threw away the best shot at either making new friends or getting in touch with old ones. I don't know if i should reactivate my account and possibly fall back to the old way I used to feel about it. I don't get why I have such a hard time making friends. I don't think I'm weird, I have likeable and common interests (video games, sports, cars, etc). I have tried initiating contact with others, you know by exchanging phone numbers or getting together. Still, it's like the only people I meet either want to drink and party or are too busy with their own life

So this morning me and my friend, I'll call him jack started talking at school casually. Here's a little about me... I'm a 19 year old guy. a little camp...so most people think I'm gay at first, gets me in the friend zone a lot. I am quite a shy person really...at family events I find it so awkward and don't speak at all...with my friends I am quite loud, especially when I've had a drink. At work, I've been there about 6 months now and everyone finds me hilarious...which I like. I get on with near enough everyone and in the staff room and stuff I do contribute with most of the conversations we have and am not that shy. I've been best friends with this guy for 2 years. Well, I guess it's past tense now. I had been best friends with him. During those two years, my family basically took him in as their own. We gave him a place to stay for weeks on end, I helped him get through so much, I helped him stay away from alcohol and drugs and he used to feel so bad if he ever slipped up and did drugs or drank. Our whole friendship, I kind of felt like he didn't really give a crap about me, but I pushed the thought away because he was seriously basically my only friend for a long long time. Well he took me to homecoming as his date this year (he's gay by the way, so it's nothing romantic. He's seriously like my brother) and through the majority of the dance, he left me alone and went to dance with this other girl. I felt like sh*t the whole dance . Well back in October, I moved away and he said he would come visit me, but never did. In fact, he barely ever talked to me. Well, a few months ago, he dropped me for good. He never ever gas to me, like ever. He ignores me when I try talking to him, so I just have stopped trying. And he's started hanging out with this group of girls who, from what I know from when we were still friends, they take him out and get him drunk / high all the time. Last time he ever called me, he was with them and was drunk as hell. And the worst part is, he calls them his family. I get so hurt every time I see his posts about them online.How do I get over this lost friendship *talks I meant to say talks not gas xD

I've had a friend for about 3 months now, and I feel like he wants to spend every second of the day with me. Every time I check my phone I have a new text, facebook message, link on by FB wall or something, and he tries to make plans to hang out every day after work. We have mutual friends, but whenever we go out guess who I end up sitting next to! At this point I'm avoiding group activities so I don't have to talk to him. How to I nicely tell him to back off?

Note: Your partner is willing to negotiate and compromise on some of these things if they are a deal breaker for you. Update: This would be someone you want to stay as your partner for a long time.

I went too a Aunt's house on Easter for lunch. Her sister (not related too me) was there with my cousin Cayla who is eight years old. Cayla was all dressed up for Easter in a short poofy dress, dress shoes and such. What tripped me out was when Cayla tickle her Aunt when she went too hug her, her Aunt lifted her up over her lap. "Someone is going to get their pretty panties spanked" the Aunt said. .
