Question: How to deal with messy sister? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 02:43 PM PST I have a 40 yr old sister that lives with my parents. The problem is that she is very messy. She leaves her clothes everywhere, she keeps dirty dishes with old food all over the house, she does not wash her dishes or clean up after herself. After moving in she took in a stray cat and eventually ran herself out of her room she was staying in as it has been taken over by the cat and is now known as the cats room. My mother has asked her to get rid of the cat but she refuses ( I don't know why she keeps it she has nothing to do with the cat). She is a generous person and for the most part has a good heart, but she is very childish in that she has no respect and see's no issue with living this way. She use to keep things cleaner growing up but now she will not pick up anything. My husband had helped my mother clean up one of the rooms that had somehow became my sisters closet it took them 2 hours to get everything in order. The next day my sister pulled out all of her clothes and threw them all over the nice clean room they have been pulled out for the last 3 days and she still has not picked them up. It really frustrated my husband that she did that as my mother just appears defeated she told her to pick everything back up but my sister has not done so yet. I am really fed up with spending time helping my mom for it to be undone. My husband is so angry with her that he does not want anything to do with her and ask that she stay away from our house. I am not sure what to do.
Question: How does it feel to have grandparents? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 02:36 PM PST I'm really curious as I never had them. I'm 15 and my last grandparents died when I was 2 and others died earlier.
Question: Did my dad necessarily nut inside my mom? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 01:35 PM PST I can't imagine my parents going at it. Is it possible that I was made in some other way?

Question: Hey Pearl L when did you get your keyboard fixed ? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 12:29 PM PST At least that stupid 'rn' is gone
Question: How do I handle the inevitable family rejection on Easter? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 12:17 PM PST The whole family will gather on my mother's side but my mom's kids and her. Reason is my mother will be away and they'll overlook asking me since they know she's away. Also because my mother and her kids are the 2nd rate relatives because of old issues with my mom and her father over his drinking. We were the black sheep but now just 2nd rate. It is a huge trauma to me. How do I cope with the inevitable?
Posted: 04 Mar 2020 12:16 PM PST My brother & i growing up have always been close we share the same birthday 5 yr's apart one thing we do not share is a Jail record i have not ever been to jail (knock on wood) him on the other hand has & a lot! It seems when he gets himself locked up i'm always the person he calls for help & i'm always the person he runs to when he needs a place to stay. Yes there is other family members who could offer but they don't so i give in each time letting him stay with me so he doesn't go stay with drug dealers he calls friends & get in trouble all over again. Well this time around i am fed up! He got out of jail a week ago today. He called for a ride so i picked him up then he asked if could stay just for a few days i gave in once again then he asked to borrow a cell ph that i let my son use for games i said yes but just to borrow you cannot have it. He was here & everything was ok.Well a couple of nights ago he left while i was asleep he not only took my phone that i told him he could not keep!! he left my front door cracked open. I talked to him yesterday & asked him to bring me my phone back he sounded like he was high again back on meth. I know deep down i might as well kiss that phone goodbye & just telling him that he is no longer welcomed to stay with me. He is a grown man who keeps getting himself into the same mess. I cannot help but to feel guilty for having to be a B*tch to him. Am i wrong?
Question: Does this paragraph feel inaccurate to you>? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 10:27 AM PST I was kinda thinking the other way around on this one. Google "homeless vs houseless" and at the top of the search page is this. Being classified as homeless truly means you do not have a home, while houselessness is simply a state of being. A house is just a material object, as Mike points out — a home can be wherever you are, wherever your heart is, wherever you make *home. * "I have a home. I am at home. I almost feel like its kinda contradicting itself, like I feel like its saying if you are without a home you are nowhere.
Question: Why does my sister walk around the house naked? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 09:51 AM PST Whenever my parents leave the house my sister walks around the house naked around me and it makes me super uncomfortable. She even goes in my room sometimes just to make me mad. Whenever I tell her to stop or ask her why she gets mad and tells me to mind my own business. I can't tell my parents because she's 19 and they always believe her over me and she will lie about it. Why does she do this and how to I make her stop?
Question: What is fair in this case? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 09:34 AM PST My sister and I live together to help each other out financially and other ways. I am on disability so I get a check from my social security record. She works and has a two year old that I watch daily. My son is 29 he's intellectually disabled. I want to work but my sister says it's best for me to stay home with her daughter because she gets sick sometimes and can't go to day care or on the days and hours day care is closed. I can make more money than what I get for disability. My sister pays most of the bills and I pay room and board so does my son. I think I can help more if I worked and we hire a sitter. What do you think...
Posted: 04 Mar 2020 09:18 AM PST I'm above 18 and I am financially dependent on her. I tried to move out but she stopped me. I normally stay silent and attempt to avoid arguments with her but she suddenly starts cursing She stopped me by threatening to institutionalizing me. I spoke to my brother about it but he said they shouldn't be able to do it. Threatening to institutionalize* me.

Question: How can I stop my step daughter from moving out and keep her away from her mother? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 06:30 AM PST We had another fight two days ago and my step daughter is trying to move out and I don't want that to happen she actually said that she is better off without me she is trying to live with her mom it is so freaking ridiculous it is all about her mother. It all started when she was 13 when her parents divorced she wanted to live with her mom but I forced her to move in with us. Two weeks after that she was seeing her mother recently I did not approve of this and I try to keep her away from her mom we send her to military school in Florida my husband and I specifically told her that she wasn't aloud to see or talk to her mom anymore maybe she thought that I was joking we later found out from her maternal grandmother that she was sending letters to her so we moved her out of that school and send her to another one five states away to make sure that my step daughter and her mother don't have anymore contact my step daughter came home when she was 16 and she seemed grateful that we did that and everything seemed well until my step daughter told me that her mom got pregnant and she went to see her I was so angry that I wanted to kill her we went through that crap for 3 whole years for her to only go around and sneaking out to see her moms baby. I was so upset and I didn't trust her after that and I drove her everywhere to stop her from seeing her mother completely. Originally her mom said she was giving up the baby for adoption but her mom changed her mind. I only allowed her to Continue: to go to school and her job I didn't want her to have anything to do with her moms baby. But you husband took pity on her and let her see her mother whenever I wasn't around if I could have chained her up in the attic 24/7 I would have over the past year a lot of resentment have been building and 2 days ago it exploded again. I went to check her Facebook and I found out that she saw her mom again I confronted my step daughter about it and she admitted it and we started fighting and Continue: and she told me that she is going to move out next week and live with her mom whether I agree to it or not and she hates me and she took whatever she had and left like I on,y did whatever I can do to stop her from ruining her damn life I cannot believe she is doing this to her family for her mo. it is so freaking ridiculous what can I do to get through to her? This is also not a troll I am a mother of 2 and have one step daughter I am not going to let her move in with that little ***** Her mom is not a threat to her her mom is a life ruiner she ruined her life and I can't stand that little bich@ but i am her stepmother and she has to listen to me My step daughter has brought a plane ticket last week because her father even allowed her to move out and she told me when she moves out she will cut ties with me
Question: I hate that my step daughter moved in with her mother last week ? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 06:09 AM PST Last week my step daughter moved out of our house and moved in with her mom and step dad her mom and step dad are big losers not at all like my precious step daughter her step dad does not have a job and her mom is a teacher they live in this small apartment I tell my step daughter to leave them but she won't what do I do? My step daughter is living there happily
Question: My mother is 88. How can I be prepared for her inevitable death? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 06:07 AM PST She has Alzheimer's.
Question: How do I tell my stepdad to stop asking me for rent money and without being rude? ? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 04:33 AM PST Every month I pay him $200 by giving him $100 every two weeks or $50 every week. But it's like when he doesn't see the money right away he's always ends up saying "where's my rent" or " you got my rent". He always makes it seem like I'm never going to give it to him and I do. How can I tell him to back off a little when it comes to the money. I swear I'm not a ATM machine and plus I still have my own bills to pay too. And it makes me feel like he doesn't keep good track of the money when I give it to him.

Question: Should I tell my parents? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 12:22 AM PST I am 12 and I was wandering if I should tell my dad I'm Jewish
Question: Why does my mother do this to me? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 10:49 PM PST She will insult me and do mean things to me, and when I confront her about what she does, she says that I am crazy and I make things up even though I am not.
Question: I dislike my cousins...? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 10:39 PM PST I have two 1st cousin on my mom's side, they are two sisters. we were so close when we were kids but as we grew up things changed...I don't like to see them or talk to them because they are not honest. I don't care about them at all but they try to connect with me. Now my oldest cousin is pregnant and tries to talk about her pregnancy etc...I don't want to talk with her. What can I do?
Posted: 03 Mar 2020 10:05 PM PST I was so angry about this that at the age of 17, I wanted to be completely removed from my parents' will, their inheritance and hope that it burns to the ground. I even tried to have a restraining order filed against them once, but couldn't since I was too young. Since they wouldn't stop trying to contact me, when I came of age at age 21 and became a millionaire, I had a bodyguard to escort them out of my living quarters. They had to be dragged and thrown out of my house. As they were being taken away, my parents then asked me why I was doing this, my mother was basically yelling and screaming as she was jumping and kicking while being pulled away and my father was in absolute shock. Those two disgust me. They make me sick. They can go straight to Hell.
Question: My brother is annoying ? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:51 PM PST Lately me and my brother have been fighting around since he's that age now, I'm 15 and he's 12. One day I was sitting on the couch while his friend was over and they were running around the house being all loud so I told them to shut up so my brother walked up and smacked my head so I hit him back and then he grabbed my arms and pinned me down, he's a bit heavier than me so I couldn't do much and my mother walked in a couple minutes later and made him get off. But now whenever he gets the chance he just tackles me and holds me down, taunting me. It's pissing me off.

Posted: 03 Mar 2020 07:24 PM PST Is it ok that I pretty much leave my family and friends alone and just am by myself quite a bit? I feel like I need to do that even though they care about me
Question: Should I sell my mother's watch? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 07:12 PM PST So I was cleaning my car out the other day and I found this watch in the glove compartment. I looked it up and found out it's worth nearly $4,000! My relationship with my mother has been rough the past few months because she is unwilling to accept my sister for being bisexual and kicked her out of the house. My initial thought was to sell it, but then the feeling of guilt took over. If the watch was important to her I wouldn't even think about selling it but she never even noticed she lost it and I know it will just end up sitting in a drawer. Am I a bad person for even thinking of selling it? Idk what to do... In case any of you were wondering I'm a college student and would use the money to help pay for my loans.

Question: Is it ok to be single all your life until you die and to never have sex? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:41 PM PST I'm asking because the circumstances of every person are different and sometimes in life we end up eating sh!t because of circumstances that are out of our reach. It would be CRUELTY to bring a Child into this world when I can't even build up good circumstances for myself to build a career for myself.
Question: Meeting my birth mother? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:15 PM PST My birth mother reached out to my mom through facebook messenger in November of 2018. She pretty much said that she is interested in talking soon. My adoptive mother basically left it up to me to decide if I wanted to meet her or not and I never really answered her on the count that I don't know how she'd feel about it. In December of 2018, I sneakily sent a "thumbs up" from my mother's messenger account. She texted back saying that she isn't sure if the thumbs up meant that she wanted to talk or not. She also said that she was shown a picture of me from her mother, (my biological grandmother), who I've been in letter contact with for as long as I can remember (although I don't know much about her either, and have never met her). But she sends me gifts around the major holidays and I always send her a thank you card back and my parents normally include a recent picture I've taken. So in my birth mother's text she said I've gotten so big and handsome and she left her cellphone number if we wanted to chat. I was born in 2004 btw and I live in Northern New Jersey and she lives in central or south jersey, probably only an hour or two away. My mom also showed me her second message and asked if I've given it thought. I pretty much never told her my decision and now it's a year and a half later. How do I approach asking my mom to get in touch with my birth mother without possibly hurting her? She has always said the more people in my life that love me the better. Something I forgot to mention is while looking at her profile I saw her holding a boy who was around 3 and I can only assume that he may possibly be a brother of mine which would be a huge motive for me trying to put this together.
Question: Why is my relative like this ? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 03:28 PM PST If I don't look my best I have to hear about it but 10 years ago when she was going though chemotherapy from breast cancer she had the nerve to constantly criticize me when I was a kid about being chubby, made me smile in pics when I was self conscious about wearing braces and wouldn't shut the hell up about my weight and even now that my teeth are getting crooked again she might comment and she thought that medical terminology would be too hard for me but not my brother but he decided not to stick with the healthcare field
Question: How does period sex feel? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 02:54 PM PST I will be gone for a few days so my paremts will be all alone. This is the first time in many years but my mom is on her period. They are 36 and 37.
Question: My mother keeps gossiping about me? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 02:21 PM PST My mother keeps talking about my personal business to people she knows, insulting me behind my back, and she also keeps spreading lies about me to my relatives and others. What should I do?, I've confronted her about it but she either dismisses me or she claims that I make up things in my head. I do not willingly tell her my personal business, she somehow finds out about my personal business on her own, and then blabbers about me and my business like a asshole. Serene, it honestly does not matter what I say or do anymore because she just calls me names, accuses me of ''making'' things up, or dismisses me. I have dealt with her for 18 years, and she will NOT change or become a ''better'' person. I am just tired of her abuse and her lies. Also, she does gossip about me to others and according to her, I am supposed to just put up with backstabbing and bullshit.
Question: Is this a petty thing to do? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 02:11 PM PST I am already a working person. I am Asian and my siblings and I are still living with our parents because it's an Asian thing. After graduating from college, my notes and other things relating to it were stacked in my bedroom that my sister also happens to share. Since she is older, she wanted to remove them as it's "cluttering" our room. I then moved them in our small storage room. My mom has a habit of keeping or throwing out things she see even though they are owned by other people. Because of that, she saw them there and threw them away without warning even though I already told her before that I will still use them for future references. She thought of it as if it's just nothing. When I told my father about it, he yelled at me and told me that I no longer need them in the future anymore. As a retaliation for what she did, I sold a few pieces of her jewelries that she's not using for a long time to a pawnshop. I also stole my father's family business documents that he's still not aware of them being missing and I may try to burn them for good. Are these all too petty?
