Question: Don’t want to invite a family member to my wedding? Posted: 28 Mar 2020 07:46 PM PDT I don't want my aunt and her husband of the year to come to my wedding. she's always been so horrible to me - like actually physically hitting me, along with metal abuse. Here's the problem: my mom raised her kids and they're like my brother and sister so i obviously want them at my wedding. and she lives with my grandmother- who is the whole reason i'm having a proper wedding. how am i supposed to invite her [adult] children and her roommate, and not her? and if we're at family gatherings after? she's just terrible and i can't have her ruining a great day. |
Question: Upbeat country songs for wedding? Posted: 28 Mar 2020 01:12 PM PDT I am getting married in May and am looking for referrals for our "introduction" song for when my fiance and I walk down the aisle as a married couple! We want something fun and upbeat, preferably new country. Some ideas I have had are: This is it- by Scotty McCreery Simple- by Florida Georgia Line We want something that has a happy and upbeat beat to it when it starts! We are getting married and it is an exciting and happy time, not time for slow sappy crap. Looking forward to any ideas! |

Question: Is my online wedding & renewal of vows business interesting or am I wasting my time? Posted: 08 Mar 2020 06:24 AM PDT I've put a lot of of time and effort into setting up my cyber union service offering SYMBOLIC online weddings and renewal of vow ceremonies (using videocall apps): www.virtualonlineweddings.com. I think it's a valuable and beneficial service but I'm starting to wonder if I'm deluding myself. Any feedback, positive or negative from Yahoo!answers community would be super appreciated. |

Question: Should I beware the florist for my wedding? ? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 04:39 AM PST I found my florist at Kroger through my fiancé's sister because she did her wedding bouquets and they were beautiful! When I met with her, she was very passionate and great to work with. For several months we discussed designs, mock ups, and provided me a sample centerpiece, etc. Everything seemed great until I asked how I should make payment. My sister in law paid Keoger directly, she didn't have centerpieces. She said checks would go to her because it's cheaper. I didn't feel comfortable so I asked if she would sign a contract which she agreed to. We haven't signed yet but my parents found out and said it's a bad idea and dishonest. I called around Kroger locations and not everyone does wedding flowers, some charge consultation fee so it differs. Many don't want the headache and long hours, so it depends on the florist at Kroger. Also, they make you pay for flowers but you would pay direct labor cost. So my current florist said it's the same thing only direct labor cost is payment directly to her which is a win/win for both of us. She has access to a wholesaler for flowers. Even if she left Kroger she can still buy from them or even any other place. I also have her home address, phone number and her Facebook keeps popping up on my notification. I'm leaning towards going through her, thoughts? |

Question: Why was she smiling if she hates it? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:00 PM PST My family has been sporadically attending weddings all our lives. My sister was on the dance floor DANCING every single reception except the one that we went to over the weekend. I couldn't help but notice her remaining seated after dancing started. So I asked her why she wasn't on the dance floor. It really surprised me when she revealed that she really hates it. I told her that I thought she loved it. She raised her voice, "No!" Then I asked her why she always danced. She listed the following: our cousin dragged her to the dance floor last time, our grandmother forced her to dance the reception before that, one of our aunts forced her to dance the reception before that, the mother of the bride hissed at her to get on the dance floor while she was relaxing at her dinner table the reception before that, a middle-aged guy went up to her while she was drinking & insisted she went on the dance floor the reception before that, and our uncle even picked her up & carried her to the dance floor the reception before that. I asked her why she doesn't quit. She whined that she eventually does quit but then often gets pestered back onto the dance floor. If she hates it so much, why does she always smile while dancing on the dance floor at wedding receptions? Because her smiling caused me and I presume others as well to think she was enjoying herself [altho she's really not] |

Question: Is there anything wrong with this? Posted: 02 Mar 2020 04:07 PM PST The church holds only three hundred people. My fiance says that I can only invite twenty four people so all his guests can come. His main excuse is because he's famous and only that amount of people in my family know how to carry themselves. I would like to invite at least forty. |
Question: I guess I insulted my friend ? Posted: 02 Mar 2020 01:11 PM PST I guess I somehow insulted my friend. I honestly think she took what I said completely out of context. I apologized to her at least 7-8 times during our one conversation and she just won't drop the subject. She told me she does not want me in her wedding any longer after I spent a TON of money on a bridesmaid dress and just purchased gifts for her shower. I'm not sure what more I can do?! I've apologized what more can I do!? Honestly all I told her was she should consider getting a masters degree because she was very talented at her work and she'd be able to move up. She took that as me trying to tell her what to do with my life. |
Question: When is the best time to propose to my girlfriend? Posted: 02 Mar 2020 07:56 AM PST We've been together 7 years and are in our early 30s. Well why weren't you already married some of you may ask? Everyone's situation is different. I believe timing is everything especially when a lot of serious things are happening to both our families. She has 1 year of college left. Is it best to wait until she's done and has a job? Or do you think it would be good to propose while she has a little bit a of school left and hopefully have a wedding several months after she is done with school (Of course depending on how we decide it all together)? .. Some people on here can be rude. Please be kind when you respond. It's just a question. I'm just a guy trying to figure it all out. |
