Posted: 21 Mar 2020 02:08 PM PDT It is the last Sunday in June and a day party at a park, not anything in-doors. |
Posted: 21 Mar 2020 02:06 PM PDT I want to be the better person but I wonder if sending regards will just fuel her narcissism and hate. Do I bother or am I better just dropping it at a text to my mother "give my regards to Lisa" and ending at that? I already sent my mother the text. |
Question: Help! My dad's crazy! ? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 01:50 PM PDT I have to constantly put up with my dad's egotistical nature. He's extremely dominate and thinks mostly about himself than others most of the time. Although, I love him very much, it seems that my interest is not important than his own. He's just been diagnosed with diabetes and dementia, I believe his dementia is getting worse each day. He thinks he is elsewhere and not at home where we group up in. He was trying to leave out the back door, but I stopped him, using some strategy to prevent it. He would not go to sleep and kept me up all night. What do I do?! |
Question: My father is crazy? Or am I crazy? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 01:36 PM PDT When I was a child, I would receive small awards for the achievements in my school and my dad would never praise me and even rip some up. I never noticed until I got older and went to college I started getting mentors, and decent grades and my father talked down on all the mentors. If for example, I told him a mentor is going to help me out with an internship he would scream "I have potential to ****!" Wow this was outrageous. Instead of being a supportive father that worked at a warehouse his whole life he slowly disowned me? Why? |
Question: Why is being raised by a good mother such a powerful type of love? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 01:35 PM PDT its honestly feels so strong the fact i was brought into this world by such an involved mother, especially because i dont live with my dad so i was only raised by my mum. its just something that always comes back into my head every now and then |
Posted: 21 Mar 2020 12:36 PM PDT There was this issue of rape which was an incident last year. How do I snap myself out of it to get a POSITIVE answer out of this situation? I don't seem to know the situation but to my family I say that they're smart and I don't know what I would be worried about. All I did was in order for this situation to make sense I completely had a sexual relationship with my other side of the family whom is related to only I would say that that is my stepmom. I also wouldn't count my father in the family because he doesn't know if she is basically in my family or not. He also can't read because he deserves to be a lowlife and heroin. He has Dyslexia. I also got ratted into TROUBLE over insanity and it caused arguments in my family, my sister started it over RAPE allegations when she thought it was consensual relationship between us. I wouldn't necassarily be a part of any situation when I was a kid, I was very quiet and out of trouble. So , I also had an online relationship with this girl and I went OFF about her ******* her brother and at that moment I got traumatized and went to the HOSPITAL in a behavioral health unit. Can I call a Hotline and tell them what happened? Can I have a number for small counsiling treatment for to call things about rape, incest, trauma? |

Posted: 21 Mar 2020 11:39 AM PDT My mom thinks that the coronavirus is a global conspiracy to launder money, while my Dad believes isolating yourself is stupid and pointless because only God can save him. Am i the only one with a dysfunctional low-info family? |
Question: How to stay calm around Mom I hate? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 10:57 AM PDT Im 18 and I honestly hate my mother. There's a lot of history behind my attitude towards her and I'm telling you- there is no working it out. I do not want to fix it because that is just so emotionally draining and I'm just tired. So my question is- how do I stay calm around her? Everything she says makes me turn to stone and I just want to scream "**** YOU." Being stuck in this house together and being financially dependent is the only reason I need to stay on her good side but it's so hard for me to be respectful when there is no respect to give. And for the record this is not simply teenage hormones, my sister is almost 30 and refuses to talk to my mother often. How do I cope with the anger and irritation? |
Question: Is it weird that my mom does laundry naked? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 10:31 AM PDT Like when I ask her why she is naked she just tells me that it's so that all of our clothes get washed. |

Question: Is my nephew mentally challenged? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 09:09 AM PDT I don't need criticism or any rudeness! Just a simple OPINION of yes or no. My partner's nephew is 4, and my daughter is also 4. They are cousins and she LOVES him so much, and is very protective of him! But he does not reciprocate the same love and protective attitude towards her. We have been raising him for over a year now. I don't believe in spanking, but I have come up with a tactic to keep him in line when he misbehaves.. I tell him that their is a man outside who is going to get him (I dont care if you agree with this tactic!) Time out doesn't work for him. Every time I say this, he instantly straightens up his behavior. But my daughter gets so upset and starts screaming, crying, biting me and physically hitting me when I say this. The last time this happened, i told my nephew to put her outside. And he actually tried to grab her and put her outside! I honestly thought he was going to tell me no. I couldn't believe it. I asked him why would he actually try to put her outside instead of trying to protect her like she does him. But he just stared at me in confusion. I talked to my partner about this, and he asked me was I trying to give his nephew a trick question. I said no, but I expected him to love and protect his cousins like she does him. This is a habit with the nephew. Their grandmother has also noticed this, and has told him that he is supposed to always defend and protect his cousin. With his mother and his 7 year old sister he is very protective! |
Question: Is it OK what my father is doing to my daughter and me? Does it seem fair to you? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 08:07 AM PDT I live in a very high priced home area. The average small home price in my city is $585,600 and that cost is increasing every month.. My daughter just recently graduated from college and got a good job that would allow her to make the loan payments for a home loan. However it will take her years to save enough for a down payment. She was talking with my dad about her desire to buy a home and because home prices keep rising she was afraid she would never get enough money to make the down payment. My dad is VERY CREATIVE and told her he had a solution to her problem. He told her he would loan her the money for the down payment and subtract that amount from my inheritance. He would then assign the loan to me. That means that if I want my inheritance, I will have to collect it from my daughter. I am not sure I want to do that. Does that seem fair to you? All my friends that I told about this tell me my daughter has the greatest grandfather there is. I am conflicted about this. Should I be happy with this arrangement or not? |

Question: Is it right that my dad barges into my bedroom without knocking? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 05:27 AM PDT Bascially with the corona virus situation being stuck at home I've been up at bit late on the weekend (12pm). My dad just burst into my bedroom and throws up the blind shouting at me to get out of the bed. I barely speak or do anything with him throughout the day anyway. Is it his right to do this to me? In 21. He makes me do whatever he says all the time around the house ? Obviously sleeping in isnt the perfect thing to do it's only now that were bascially in isolation and cant leave the house if you get me |
Posted: 21 Mar 2020 04:26 AM PDT I used to work with both my mum and dad at a factory filled with good looking people until I was dismissed on the 17/12/2020. I came with my mum to pick up my dad from work where I wanted to come down to say hello to my old coworkers, but my mum told me I'm ugly after she scolded me to stay in the car. I'm now suffering from psychological damage as a result of this. 12/12/19 |
Question: What to say to wealthy relative whose livelihood has been upended by coronavirus impact? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 04:19 AM PDT My bother made millions and millions of dollars, and still made (until now) over a million dollars a year, in the sports and entertainment industry: selling premium tickets to prominent sports and entertainment events. He also bought significant real estate, mostly strip shopping centers. Now all of those sports and entertainment events are cancelled, meaning no ticket sales indefinitely. And stores and restaurants are likely closed or at least harmed, meaning less rent. He's been semi-retired for many years, working only a little (but still making a lot) and is in his 40s. But this has to be an economic disaster. We're not close. But what to say to him? I thought my life and job sucked, but my industry will survive anything. |
Question: I think my mom is abusive and I need help,? Posted: 21 Mar 2020 02:33 AM PDT She has always been this way toward me, but sometimes she hits me and does stuff that she knows is bad and she threatens me a lot and I have tried to tell her that it makes me hurt and she listens but she doesn't do it for example last night I woke up and used the bathroom And got something to drink and she came in there and then slapped me and I proceed to tell her that I was only using the bathroom and getting drink and she slapped me. Some times I think she hates me. But I still love her more than anything, and this isn't the first time she slapped me Oh and also when I talk to her about what she does she says I'm the one bullying her ohhhh and keep in mind I only see her 2days a week sometimes my grandma makes me feel like she try's to hurt me she brings stuff up from the past and makes me cry and my mom comes in and she picks sides and she choose my grandma side and she shouldn't pick sides |

Question: My older brother bosses me around!? Posted: 20 Mar 2020 08:01 PM PDT I'm 21 years old with high functioning Autism, and my brother is 30 years old and NT. We both still live at home. I love my brother, in fact we have a great relationship. The problem is, he likes to boss me around! He'll come into my room without permission JUST to boss me around! I've tried telling him to stop, but h won't stop bossing me around no matter what i say or do! Every time he bosses me around, he makes it so I can't tell my parents no matter how hard I try! Not only that, but my parents do absolutely NOTHING about it! They LET him boss me around! They taught him from a young age that it's OKAY to boss someone smaller than you around. PLEASE don't tell me to move out! I can't afford it right now, and it would be even harder to attempt to do it during this COVID-19 pandemic! My brother SHOULD be living on his own at his age, but he prefers to live his life like a child! He still lives at home, he still makes my parents drive him everywhere even though he has his driver's license, he eats all the food in the house instead of buying his own food(he has a full-time job and his own money) and he's very immature just like a child. He can afford to move out on his own, but he doesn't want to. He wants to live at home! Also, I can't just kick him out of my room. I'm only 5'4(i'm a girl) while he's 6'0, so he's much bigger than me! How do I put a stop to him bossing me around? Please help me! He doesn't even knock before coming into my room! He just opens the door and comes in! My parents won't let me tell an adult outside of my family, so please don't tell me to do that. I have no relatives I can live with either. My only living grandparent lives with us, my dad is an only child and my mom only has one brother who lives in a different state far away. I'm also not close enough with my uncle to move in with him. I don't really have any friends either, so I can't move in with a friend, and I have no options for a roommate I could share an apartment with. I don't have a boyfriend either. I can't afford to move out because I only have a part-time job where I don't get paid that much, and I also go to school. I'm NOT being lazy or anything. |

Question: Are parents supposed to spend child support money on themselves? ? Posted: 20 Mar 2020 03:51 PM PDT My mom has a child support card with money my dad puts on it. She spends on herself for things she wants including fast food and purses. She's calling me a brat and will punish me for telling it she shouldn't be spending it on herself. |
Posted: 20 Mar 2020 03:31 PM PDT Yesterday, I posted something on Reddit saying that the death toll caused by the coronavirus in the UK increased from 104 to 137. After posting it, I showed my mum the post because she wants to be informed about the coronavirus. However, she scorned me for saying "death toll" instead of "death count" because apparently, saying death toll is classed as "sensationalism". Is my mum right? Is saying "death toll" instead of saying "death count" classed as sensationalism? |
