I've been talking/dealing with this guy for a year and he never wanted a relationship with me. Me not being sure why.. I decided to move onto someone else and they was the same way. I finally asked them both what is it about me that makes them not want to be in a relationship with me, and they both said "you're not my type". They both called me beautiful and even said they wouldn't even had engaged with me if they didn't think I was at-least pretty. We live in different states currently, however he used to live nearby (now in a completely different state/area code, etc.) so I got a text from a number with the same area code in the region he lived in previously, stating I should quit before it goes too far because he is not a good guy, is not truthful about anything, and is bad news. Following that I got a link to a news story of him being arrested. I never heard from this anonymous number again, so what should I do? Is it possibly an ex trying to be spiteful or someone genuinely looking out for me? Is it worth it to try and track the number? |

I am a medical student, my clinical rotations are suspended currently but they may be reinstated, and there's a chance I can't take my boards if I get covid or been around someone who traveled to countries xyz. She recently came back from xyz country. She had a sore throat when she came back. I have a sore throat for the past 2 days. I can't see her now because I don't want to run the risk of exposing her, or me, or anyone. She told me she needs to see me or else she will start dating other people. Says she feels abandoned and in her previous relationships she felt more supported. I told her I can video chat her everyday- she says that is not a relationship. I asked her what she needs from me other than seeing her physically. She says there is nothing. She wants to see me in 14 days, I said I will try but given our current landscape, it is unclear what will happen tomorrow, much less in 14 days. I told her it hurts not seeing her, and it hurts more that this is hurting us. She is hurting too for sure. I feel like I am being guilt tripped into seeing her. She says my logic is dumb and doesn't make any sense. But there are doctors and nurses out there on the front lines who are isolated from their families too and it's hard for them. Yea this is temporary but who knows for how long, could be months. I personally think I see the bigger public health picture, maybe prioritize my future career, while she prioritizes her own needs in a relationship. Thoughts? |

He broke up with me bc he said we weren't going anywhere. I met bf. Things moved too fast with bf & I still wanted Dom so broke it off for a while then I was seeing both of them. Bf told me I needed to make a decision & Dom said I should go to him. SO! 5 years down the line bf & I have been through a lot of Drama and I've still talked to Dom once in a while. Bf is fine with this. I gave my full trust and life to now bf, we have an 8mo and I'm dependent on him. Everyone told me not to have a kid with him bc I was always venting: He doesn't go out with me, called me names, been physically violent, walked out on us b4, allowed his friend to have a crush on me that got WAY out of hand,doesn't take the lead, doesn't miss me when I was out of town for work, given me every excuse not to marry me, etc. I'm not perfect either but He was my everything! I put all of trust into him. I thought we were going places but it was immensely one sided. After drilling it through his head & telling him I have to leave, he's FINALLY decided to make "Changes". I've been in therapy & she said at this point we should co-parent bc I'm just sad/angry w/o any optimism bc he tells me there is no future. She shows it through other ways like physical, gifts, etc. I don't have much experience with her in PERSON because she lives so far away and her parents don't approve of me because I'm literally LESS than 2 years older than her. But whatever. Anyway, it's over the phone and texting for us. And this little virtual game we play on our phones/computers. (Its called Avakin, it's kinda dumb sounding but its fun). The problem is, she feels loved by me- but I know she feels like she doesn't do anything for me, and she feels useless in a sense- because she isn't a talker, and she always see's the bad and is so hard on herself, and it's affecting and hurting me aswell. How can I/we do things together over the PHONE (for now, until summer when I buy a car and get more hours for gas) that will make her feel like she's apart of this relationship that AREN'T verbal communication? How can I make her feel like she's making me happy? Because I might say it, but she doesn't feel it. I hope this made a little sense, I'm half asleep in the breakroom at work currently.
