Don't get me wrong there's good and there's bad, but there's a lot of insecurity on his end. Everything was fine until I noticed he would spend any free time with his friends. This is fine, I wanted him to spend time with his friends. I just asked that sometime during the week he make some time for me so that there was a balance between him and friends. He then got very defensive and said that he's going to do what he wants and that I can't tell him how he should spend his time. We argued about this for two weeks. After we had a little space, he said he was sorry for not respecting my needs and that he would make time for me. His actions never showed it. He continued to go out every night with friends and never did Facetime me or call, even text. When I asked if it would be ok if he made a day to cal for just 15-30 minutes to check in, he went off again. That I shouldn't put a number on when he should be calling. I get that, but if he really cared about me wouldn't he make the time? He also didn't like that I made assumptions, which were really just my thoughts of anxiety from him not communicating with me. Like "Do you not love me?" or "Are you talking to other people"- which he replied "So I'm a whore now, wtf" I feel like I made the right decision to leave him because his priorities are not compatible for me. Or was I being too needy? |

It's my opinion that people should have found at least most of themselves before they get into a relationship. I'm a very grounded person. Sometimes too much and that's what I love about him is he helps me be more open minded. He describes himself as a go with the flow kinda person. And what he loves about me is I help him with finding himself. That said....its caused alot of confusion and stress. I'm trying to be supportive, but I dont know how to support him when he changes so much. He says he feels sometimes I dont accept him or love him the way he is or have expectations. And I've also been feeling the same way about him towards me. I do come off that way sometimes because it baffles me how he is sometimes and how different I would have acted in a situation. And i ask a ton of questions trying to understand so i can better support him. I dont think it's my responsibility to help him find himself. And hes said that people like him still deserve love which is why he still gets into relationships. I just dont think he sees how damaging and unhealthy it is. And when I bring that up he feels he is the problem and to blame and then hates himself and gets all depressed. Hes just as confused as I am on what to do.
