Posted: 10 Mar 2020 11:08 AM PDT My husband is an amazing partner with so many caring and thoughtful qualities but there's only one thing that bothers me. He vents about work or other things every evening because that's how he releases stress and I'm fine with that, I always listen, sympathize, ask questions to be engaged and understand, etc. Whether he vents for 5 minutes or a full hour, he has my attention. I'm happy to do this for him! But sometimes I need to vent too or talk about a very person struggle I have with eating which he barely understands because he doesn't listen and doesn't ever ask questions. If I start to vent about something it'll remind him about something he wants to vent about and he'll take over. Or when I start to open up about my eating issues, he'll let me talk but he won't really listen and then he'll change the subject long before I'm actually done talking about it so I feel like I never get to say what I want about the subject. I don't know if it's because he doesn't know how to respond or if he doesn't realize what he's doing. I just really need to talk about things too sometimes. This is the only issue I have, otherwise we get along so well. Any advice? Just to be clear, I'm not expecting my husband to be my therapist and fix my eating issues. It would just be nice if he could listen to how I'm feeling when I'm upset and need to talk about what's on my mind. |

Even though he's on unemployment, he sends the kids to daycare and goes to his friends house all day and helps him with cars. He's made $100 doing this, and daycares costed over 1,000 for the last month and a half he's been off. He is supposed to go back in the next month, but he doesn't put away any laundry, rarely does dishes, he just leaves it at home and comes home at around 6 at night from his friends. I've yelled at him and told him to get his crap together and he won't do it. He says he hates putting laundry away or doing housework so he's not going to do it! He leaves my car on empty gas, and this morning I called him because I forgot my purse. I told him I was sick of him doing that and he proceeds to tell me he has to go he's helping his friend out with a vehicle. He didn't even call back to check if I made it back safely! I get off work at 1, have to get the kids from daycare, come home, make supper, do laundry, housework, while he screws around all day. He blows money like crazy, but I don't have the right to kick him out because his names on this house. When I tell him I want separate bank accounts he says nope if you do that I'm not paying any of the bills with my unemployment and your credit will go to crap! I truly feel stuck here, do you guys have any advice? |

She came on tourist visa and got married just to stay in this country. She got married within 30 days of coming with tourist visa to America to a man who has American citizen she never spoke to him prior to coming to America and has no photos with him. She's not even living with the man she married! She's living with us! She just wants to live with us that's why she got married just for the green card! But is it that easy! I'm pregnant with a baby on the way I just want to be with my husband and my baby I didn't sign up for this! My mother would be angry though if I saw the uncle's ex-wife somewhere absent a wedding for one of the children. How do I say no to my dad as I don't wish to shun this woman even though we won't be close to her anymore? Generally the ex-wife is not one who's going to want to stay in touch so I'm not anticipating a relationship with her but just a distant relationship like I would with the uncle's in-laws when he was married. My parents do this frequently to me. And then when their hatred softens they don't mind missing the person anymore.
