I like hanging out with friends, doing stuff together. I hate spending days alone. But the problem is, every time I find myself sitting with someone, I realize how hard it is to talk about anything, and how shallow my conversations can be. I only do small talk and never dig deeper in the conversation. I don't understand how people can do this so easily. When I see friends talking in a nice way, I get so envious. This is a problem because, in every group of friends, I feel like an unnecessary addition, I do not add anything to the conversation. The other problem is, that it doesn't matter what subject is being spoken, I have nothing to add. Be it politics or history or music or movies, I feel like I have no interests. That's why I hate the question: What are your hobbies. I just don't have any worth talking about. Should I really read about these sort of stuff just to be able to talk about them with people ?

So we're in the process of moving out of dorms for the corona virus and it kinda was added to our spring break. My roommate and I are very close so before I left for spring break I took a can of one of her hairsprays and a sanitizer and thought I would put it back when I got back. except I didn't come back. I'm going back on Sunday to move out and she's moving out tomorrow and I'm EXTREMELY worried that she'll notice it's gone and immediately look to me. The hand sanitizer is not rlly obvious but the hairspray idk. She's never used it so I just thought I could borrow it. I KNOW it was wrong , I ask her for everything else but please don't judge me but what should I do , should I just hope she dosent see it? She probably won't since she'll be moving everything else out  Please help lol I'll never do this again and I already feel guilty enough and I'll give it back eventually I just don't wanna deal with the awkwardness of telling her I took it. If I should come clean, how do I tell her? Even if I have to make up a lie to make it less awkward or should just keep it to myself and sneak it back to her one day , please help lol

We've been friends for more than 10 years and he has been cancelling all our plans to go out about 4 times in a row already. Now he cancelled our fifth plan cuz of the corona virus issues. He is really paranoid which I get but he says that he doesn't want to hang until the corona virus is over. The news said it won't be over in a year or two. So should I move on?

My best friend gives me mixed emotions one minute she's very happy and sweet to me. The next minute she's not that nice and barely have conversations with me. For example one day me and my friend met up together my energy was off With her I felt weird around her or like something wasn't right. When we was together she was barely talking to me if I do try to bring up a conversation or a situation that happen, she instantly will give me a dry respond by saying oh same here or me too and that's it she'll get back silent It's never really feed back. Sometimes I can see her staring at me in a negative way like she's looking deep in my soul it makes me feel uncomfortable. She's giving me fake vibes because another day she seen me and she was saying sweet things out the blu like, I'm happy I have you as a best friend your stuck with me I'm not never letting you leave me. She also said if I get a new best friend she will kill her I'm just like WTF! Also another time these girls that don't like me was texting my best friend I'm like WTF! I told my best friend I guess they're texting you because they are trying to make me mad she knows they don't like me. She never agrees with me she just switches the topic and says things like they don't like me neither I don't know why they're texting me in the first place. I told her if they didn't like you they wouldn't be texting you. She just ignored me I'm starting to Really feel weird around her. What should I do help ?  Also We started a new job and the job I'm at it seems like no female likes me every time a woman see's me they will give me a very rude and nasty look. I told my friend how uncomfortable It makes me feel and I also said that I think it's jealousy. She just ignores me. But if she has the same problem she will say things like they're just jealous of me because why wouldn't nobody like me and I will agree that people is jealous of her. It's like she doesn't won't to admit people are jealous of me. 

Had a lady friend who was inviting me to her house alone until 1 a.m. and got rather touchy with me and started saying she needed "dates" or the nuts you buy when we went out to the supermarket over and over again. Seemed like she was coming in to me but maybe she was treating me like a gay friend or something. Anyway, I asked her out and she said we were just friends and talked to me on the phone for another three hours. Have I ruined this friendship? Should I continue it or should I assume it's over? 

Ann is a good friend and we work for the same company. She came into my office at work and said she had a big decision to make and wanted my help making it. I ask her what was the decision. She said her boyfriend wanted her to get a boob job and she did not know if she should. She said, "How do my boobs look from a man's point of view". I told her I could not discuss her boobs at work. I was afraid of getting in trouble for sexual harassment. I told her if she would join me for dinner tonight, we could talk. She said "I would love to have dinner with you." Was I fearful for nothing in not discussing her boob size at work? Gals, see if you agree with what I told her a dinner. I said you are a beautiful woman just as you are. If a guy rejects you because of your boob size, you don't want him anyway. Only get a boob job is YOU want it.

So today my friend (he's make) texted me and said  "What am i to you?"  And i never responded because he knows he's my best friend and we've been friends for forever  What made him ask such silly question

my best friend is someone i will always go to first if i need anything or i need comfort from a hard time, but with her boyfriend i don't think she feels the same way. I know i understand relationships are important but i want her to come to me for support first. that might be selfish but i don't know how to get over that. my friends sister is going through a really rough patch rn and i want her and her family to be okay. i just want my best friend to come to me first if she has a problem and not her boyfriend

Throughout my life, I've struggled with friendships. I've had so many toxic ones that really hurt, and I've never felt like I belonged in a group. My last friend group was so toxic, so when one of the friends from that group introduced me to another one, I thought I was set. I met my current boyfriend from this group, made some good acquaintances, and made some cool memories, but I really don't belong in it. I'm not really like anyone else in the group (except my friend from the previous friend group), and I always feel like the odd one out. I'm not significant enough to any of them. At school lunch they always leave without me, but if it was anyone else in the group they would wait. I'm not invited to anything except if my boyfriend invites me. I'm so so alone and I'm so miserable. I have my boy, and he is absolutely amazing, but he has so many friends. He's always with them, having a great time, while I'm home doing absolutely nothing but laying in my bed crying. It makes me feel so much worse knowing that I'm a junior in high school and I'm completely wasting my time, but I have no one to be with and make fun memories. At my school, especially since it just got shut down due to the virus, it's so difficult to make friends. People have had their friend groups since 8th grade. I'm just so tired of being completely miserable all the time and wishing I'm not alive when I'm alone and I have no idea what to do. Sorry this was so long, just have no idea how long I can do this.

A few friends and I have been questioning the saying "you get what you get.." for a while now and it seems that our friend group is split between "You get what you get and you don't get upset" and "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit". Neither side is willing to have an actual argument with each other and start yelling without explanation that the other is right. obviously "get" and "upset" rhyme with each other which makes me believe its the first option but I'm really not sure. If anyone has any insight into this please let me know!!! Ask your friends!

My friend told me to, "Shut up for a minute!" after we had found ourselves talking over each other after a disagreement. With all the respect in a calm firm voice I told my friend goodbye and hope they have a good rest of the day—then I hung up the phone. Yes I was upset because I never use such a term towards my friend whenever they go on and on talking and barley puts notice on what I say because they are too busy telling me their side. It's been a full day since I spoke to my friend, they messaged me saying they messed up. I don't know if I should respond back. I'm not mad at my friend for what they did but I still feel hurt and upset by being told to, "Shut up".
