Question: Does this person sound like a friend? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 05:05 PM PDT How much would you care about someone to arrange to meet with them (travelling 40 minutes on the Underground to get there) and spend six hours with them - firstly having lunch with them and then visiting a museum with them? Do you think that the person who did this and met with me is a friend? (I have Aspergers, so struggle to interpret things socially) |
Question: Does this person consider me a friend? ? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:34 PM PDT I initiate most of the text messages and outings, but the person replies quickly and with enthusiasm to my texts and never one liners usually 3-4 lines, and when we are out shares personal information about her past etc, no conversations about the weather and even said how comfortable she was talking to me. Definitely began as an acquaintance, but I feel like this has friendship potential. What are your thoughts? |
Posted: 12 Mar 2020 03:51 PM PDT I met a friend through an extracurricular activity a few years ago and we became friends, despite having feelings that she didn't like me. Then a year and a half later, while I was going through a lot, I done something rude to her accidentally and she told me that I didn't have to be so rude and I apologized to her for that. The whole friendship, I've been apologizing to her a lot because I feared that she didn't like me and my OCD had an impact on my behavior. Two months later, I had anxiety when I remembered her saying I was rude and I reached out to her through text and social media apologizing excessively to her for being rude and a control freak to her and asking if there's anything I can do to make it up to her as well as if our friendship is still okay. Once she saw my messages, she blocked me on everything and cut contact with me and I'm very confused on why she did that to me. It makes me feel like an awful person or like I've done something immoral to make her do that. I decided to give that a break for a year and that was the last time I had contact with her. Then recently, I tried reaching out to her again but she is still ignoring me. I really never meant to do anything wrong to her. Why is she ignoring me? Was it because I apologized to her excessively and she was annoyed by it? Did she really not like me? Why does she not want to be in contact with me? |
Question: Friend failed peekaboo ritual? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 03:38 PM PDT Hello! I need help! My friend did the Peek-a-boo game a few nights ago and something is wrong. She has been pretty sure a spirit has been with her and then last night she was in bed looking through her phone and at 1:20 am she glanced around her room and saw a shadowy/dark figure in the corner of her room. She put salt around her bed and hid under her covers because she felt a "shiver zip down her spine" This is how she messed up. She was in front of the mirror with her eyes closed and her alarm went off and startled her. She opened her eyes without backing away and turning on the light first, and she also noticed one of her candles were out. She did this in her bathroom mirror so she couldn't destroy it. She says right now the shadowy thing isn't trying to harm her and that it just stands there but I am concerned that it could develop into something worse for her and that she could get hurt. What should she do? Is there anything I can do as her friend to help? Please answer ASAP! |
Question: If someone cheats once will they do it again? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 03:37 PM PDT I understand people can change. But I was having this discussion with my friend and I just feel like they're going to do it again. I don't see the point of staying. But my friend thinks everyone cheats and we should just deal with it. Thoughts ? |

Question: Is he upset with me? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:21 AM PDT This guy got upset with me because I found his dad's number online and texted him. I did it because I was worried about him. Because I hadn't from him in almost a week. Last month he was in the hospital because he had seizures. So I was worried that he may have had another episode. He was telling me to never contact his family etc. When I asked him was he laughed. @katydid: if he's done why are you telling me to ask a friend next time? That doesn't make sense. |
Question: What should I say to the head of year? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 09:00 AM PDT I'm in your 8 at secondary school please help. Me and my friends were antagonising this year 7 kid and he was getting really angry because ewe kept taking his ball. He reported us and someone snakes on me and I'll probably have to go see the head of year tomorrow. I have come up with a cover story obviously I won't follow it exactly: I saw my friends playing with a ball so I went over to join them (true) then this year 7 came over and we started messing around throwing it over his head. I didn't think what we were doing was wrong because year 7s come over all the time and they seem to enjoy that sort of stuff (true). Then someone threw me the ball and I realised the kid was angry so I tried to give it back to him but he kept chasing after me so as you would I ran and when I came back everyone was leaving so I left too. Please tell me if this is any good and tell me any ways I can improve it I also have really strict parents that would kill me if I found out *they |
Posted: 12 Mar 2020 06:03 AM PDT I am a guy, BTW. Up to four people either rejected my friend requests or never accepted, one of whom was a "friend suggestion": My deceased best friend's sister (who I'm good friends with, on and off Facebook) "suggested" that I request their sister (who I barely know). But, I requested their sister, who then never accepted. The other three friends who I requested on my own were: two female teachers (from school I attended ONLY for eighth grade; one of my "friends" is the daughter of one of the teachers, who was obviously a student in her mother's class) and an ex-boss from pool hall I worked at for two years. He and I got along fine, and I worked hard and never called out. I was a well-behaved student as well and had no problems with the teachers. So since they wouldn't add me despite that, I've decided to only send friend requests to family members. Am I bringing bad blood to everyone I went to high school with, for example, by doing that? Even the ones who were nice to me, I didn't send requests to, out of fear they won't accept. So I'd rather save my dignity and let everyone request me instead. |
Posted: 12 Mar 2020 05:23 AM PDT I worked at a pool hall from '03 to '05 and had absolutely no problem with the co-owner. On my last day, I approached the front desk to say goodbye to him, but he was on the phone and therefore distracted. So I whispered my regards & shook his hand. 10 minutes later when I got home, he called to apologize for somewhat ignoring me, which I completely understood. Then he wished me well, as I had his undivided attention to do so. Next year, he called to ask if I want to fill in for an employee who called out. So even though I had a job, I gladly accepted and did my old job for one night while getting to see him & old friends/co-workers. Months ago, I requested him on Facebook. I know he remembered me, because we have a lot of mutual friends (employees from pool hall). But he deleted my request the other day. Is it possible someone spread bad rumors about me? I don't understand. I loved working there, but simply was ready to move on with my life. I'm not a Facebook addict by any means, but am just confused about why he didn't accept my request. FYI... - The pool hall went out of business about 4 years later. Does he feel that we didn't have much of a connection, since I was long gone by the time they shut down, thus not present for the bittersweet goodbye? - He has 325 friends, so it's obvious he doesn't just want CLOSE friends on FB. |

Question: What should I tell my friend without having a fear of him ignoring my texts? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 01:11 AM PDT I have a friend who is always online on discord and Roblox for more than 8 hours a day.. I usually notice I'm one of the people online on roblox besides one person. I texted him on discord, he was always on do not disturb, and he never replied back to me. I also messaged him on roblox and he never replied. It made be a little upset. He changed his bio to "tired.lonely.depressed. Yet, still breathing, sadly. I want to be there for him. He hasn't been diagnosed with depression.. I would think he's seeking attention. That does make me question.. does he have that many friends on discord? He only have 5 on roblox.. and is he purposefully ignoring me or antisocial as heck? |
Question: Why do my coworkers exclude me from their group of friends? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:44 PM PDT My coworkers are all close and friends with each other while I'm excluded and forgotten. |
Question: My family member joining my company!!? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 11:07 PM PDT Hi, my husbands sister is joining my company where I work.. I am kind of upset about this as where I live there are many other companies in our town so why pick my company?? Secondly I know this woman nearly 20 years and she is a vile person who makes you think she is your friend when really she is just being two faced behind your back!!!! Secondly I know for certain because she has done it to me that she is also a thief.. she has previously been suspended from a job over robbing! But it was never proved to be her.. I worry that she will cause trouble for me, I worry my colleagues will associate me with her, and I also worry she will rob from them too. I have worked in this company for many years and have made good friends. I also like to keep my home and work like separate. Would I be a terrible person if I spoke to my manager about how bad this woman is?? Or should I say nothing and let them figure it out????? |
Question: I found out my high school girlfriend is a lesbian now. What should I do? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 09:07 PM PDT When I was in high school back in the 1980s, I had this beautiful girlfriend named Delia. I got with her when I was 14, and we ended our relationship when we were both 20 and after that I have never seen her again. Now we are both 52, I recently decided to search her up on Facebook and sure enough... I find her, I see she is a lesbian now and is married to a woman. Should I message her and tell her that I know? |
Question: Cheating Turned Them Racist. ADVICE.? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 08:58 PM PDT Hello. My best friend caught her fiancee of 5 years cheating with with a woman outside their race. Her partner is white and she is White and Italian. My friend went from a gentle loving woman, to being racist along with making remarks towards women of color (which I am) Can anyone shed some light to how this is even possible? I understand she is hurt and depressed, but surely not all women of any color are to blame or have the same morals as the woman her guy cheated on with. She says when she sees a woman of color, especially with a white man, it reminds her of her then partner and is disgusted without knowing the couple. I'm just trying to understand her. I love my best friend and I want to help. Thanks. |
Question: I had an argument with this guy, does this mean he's mad? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 08:00 PM PDT We had an argument on Sunday and yesterday I asked him if he was mad I told him not to be mad and he laughed. |
Question: What to do when a friend is suffering from oatmeal addiction? Posted: 11 Mar 2020 05:51 PM PDT I was talking to my friend today, and after she had just finished her 14th bowl of oatmeal she mentioned she wanted to eat another, just for the taste. I told her that she should probably let it settle for a while. Before I could finish my sentence she was already gulping down another. She even fed it to her dog! I'm kind of concerned, and even as I type this while she is in the same room, I can hear her slurping away. Yesterday, she had only consumed around 2 bowls. I think it's really getting out of hand. What do I do? Should I intervene? Or should I let her continue on slurping?? (Photo unrelated) |
