Question: Mom orders my brother to choke me? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 03:25 PM PDT So my mom and I got in a verbal argument over something petty and stupid. Out of nowhere my brother gets home and he has no idea what's going on. Immediately he jumps in and starts yelling at me too, and I told him to stay out of our business. He screamed back that he has "the right" to intervene, I kept telling him off. He lost control and picked me up by the throat, and slammed me down and got on top of me choking me. Eventually mom yelled at him to stop and he did then they both casually walked off. She wasn't even mad at him but mad at me for the verbal arguement. The next day I asked why my brother got no punishment and why he was allowed to do all that. My mom said she allows it because my brother thinks he's "helping" her by choking, pushing, twisting my arms out of anger when she's upset with me. She usually does nothing to stop it and remains mad at me never him. Dad is usually the same way as my brother. I don't know what to do or how to deal with the situation. Rick that's great to know you come from a good family |

Question: Can I or should I adopt her? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 12:47 PM PDT I am a 25 year old single guy with a 15 year old niece Jill, my sister's daughter. Jill often comes to my house for help with her homework. If we finish her homework late she spends the night a my house and I take her to school the next morning. She told me she was a nervous wreck from her mom and dad fighting all the time and they were getting a divorce. She wanted to stay with me until the divorce was final. I told her that was OK with me but she needed her parents OK which I thought would not happen. However her parents thought it was best for her not to see them fighting all the time and agreed she could stay with me until there divorce was final. I was very surprised by their decision but I think they were thinking of what their fighting was doing to Jill. Jill moved in with me and has been living with me for 2 months. She is a very nice person and is no longer depressed. We have had a lot of fun time together going to school events and sporting events. Jill ask me if I would adopt her so she could stay with me permanently. I told her that I doubt if her parents would let that happen. I don't know if you can adopt someone that has living parents. Does anyone know if that can be done? Would a better solution be to just let her live with me as long as her parents are OK with it? |

Question: My grandparents had a wonderful love story. Why such relationships don't happen anymore? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 11:53 AM PDT My grandparents met in 1940 at a xmas dance in high school. They graduated high school in 1941. Grandpa had askes grandma out but she turned him down at first. He joined the Marines day after pearl harbor. Got deployed to guadalcanal. He didn't come home for 2 years. When he did, that girl was still slingle. He asked her out again and this time she said yes. They got married in 1946,then grandpa enrolled at university. He became a general practitioner. Grandma died in 2000 of leukemia. Sometimes during his WWII interviews when asked about her he would say ' I married a wonderful girl and we had a 54 years honeymoon until leukemia got her' stuff like that... He died in 2015 at 91. I hope they're together now. So if you ask me if I believe in love I say yes I do,absolutely. But unfortunately I can't seem to find it. I'm in medical school and yes I should focus on my carreer but at the same time I realize that as of right now most girls I know are taken. I have a relationship with a girl that is not reliable and the only reason why I don't dump her is that I'm afraid of being alone. What do you think? God my granparents had such a perfect love story... |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 11:31 AM PDT We all know Biden has a reputation for touching little girls inappropriately. There's actual video evidence. |
Question: Why don't family members tell each other about rapes or being touched by a family member? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 10:49 AM PDT It would be good to so that everyone can keep their distance from the person who did it to them. It's not like we will hurt them we just will keep our children and ourselves from them. |
Question: How do I give my sister the coronavirus social stop bugging me? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 09:55 AM PDT She picks on me and her friends pick on me so I want to just give them the coronavirus so they'll be sick and not able to leave the rooms. |

Question: Can’t conceive and don’t know what to do at this point ? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 08:35 AM PDT So my wife and I tried to have a baby for several years, then found out that she's completely infertile due to some condition. It makes us feel purposeless, not want to see our nieces and nephews, as they constantly remind us of something we can't have and they will never love us as much as their parents, this applies to all kids. In fact most of them hate us. For these reasons we always completely dread family gatherings, which is one reason we're really glad coronavirus is here as it has cancelled all those gatherings for now. Best thing to happen to our marriage. Childless couples are seen as inferior, especially in our family, and we're tired of being inferior. And we lost a lot of our friends since they all went on to have kids and don't have time to hang with us anymore, it would be different if we had kids, then they'd invite us out more. As seeing someone with a kid depress us, We try to stay away from places where there's any chance of running into a kid, which is one reason we moved to a community with primarily elderly people. We spend most of our time at work and home, so avoiding kids is thankfully pretty easy. And we go to adult only resorts on vacations. Do you think we're over the top or is this just normal emotional distress? We have considered adopting but find that there are so many disqualifications against us and we can't afford the thousands of dollars it would cost. I'll add that we've been to several therapists and things have only gotten worse |
Posted: 27 Mar 2020 08:32 AM PDT I literally cannot leave my house, it's like being held hostage. |
Question: My mom's boyfriend won't leave me alone? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 08:00 AM PDT He harasses me everyday. He follows me around the house. He stands there and looks at me. He gives off rapey vibes. |
Question: Dangerous home environment? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:55 AM PDT My sister brings over her boyfriend to harass me and try to rape me. My gay cousin fights me and sexually harasses me. Both my sister and my cousin get the whole family to bully me. I dread the moment I have to be around them. No one does anything about it. I feel alone. |
Question: What would a child try to make friends with 30 other children? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:51 AM PDT What would a child try to make friends with 30 other children? She sees 30 other children the same age as she that have the same anonymous donor, that signed paperwork that legally barred them from ever seeking custody of the children they helped create. They have a different birth mother. |
Question: I need advice about my sister? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:31 AM PDT I am a 22 year old lesbian and live with my 21 year old girlfriend. We have been living together for 2 years and are very happy and love each other. We live in a nice 1 bedroom appartment it is enough room for us since we sleep together everynight. My parents accept that I am a lesbian and are happy for us. My 20 year old sister will no longer talk to me. I found out she is pregnant she is married and I called her to say how happy I was and she said never call me again. You willl not see our child. I am heartbroken my sister and I were so close growing up but she disowned me when I moved in with my girlfriend. |
Question: My mother always hiting me and laughing.she's a bloodthirsty. What can I do.? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:57 AM PDT |
Question: Cute name. Sue Werf Yumes? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 12:02 AM PDT |
Posted: 26 Mar 2020 11:24 PM PDT So I am pregnant with my first child and my mother is going to watch my baby with pay when I go back to work. She is currently going to my sisters house (15 min from her house) to watch her baby with the same pay amount. I told my mom and sister that when my baby is ready to be watched that it would be best for our mom to watch our babies at her house since we will have 2 babies on 2 different schedules and the fact that our mom is 70 years old and we should be bringing our children to her so she can be in the comfort and convenience of her own home. My sister said that she would come to our moms house 2 days a week but that my mom and I will need to come to her house 2 days a week because that is fair to her. This is my argument..I live 30 minutes from my mom and work 5 minutes from my mom. My sister lives 15 min from my mom and works 10 minutes from my mom. I live 30 minutes from my sister but work 15 minutes from my sisters house. My sister works 5 minutes from her house. Her husband gets off work at 2:30/3:00 every day and has said that he doesn't mind picking up their baby from my moms house on his way home every day (5 min out of his way). My sisters argument is that she is going more out of her way than me. She would be driving a total of 30 minutes a day round trip to my moms, work and back home. I would be driving a total of 70 minutes a day round trip. Is she being unreasonable or am I crazy? |
Question: My dad bought my sister a car, but refuses to buy me one? Posted: 26 Mar 2020 11:16 PM PDT My dad bought my sister a car when she was 19 just because. She is 27 now and still has the car. I am 23 and still dont have one. All my money from my job goes towards rent so I cant afford one myself. My mom is disabled and my dad is a retired veteran and has more money than he knows what to do with. He wants me to drive and keeps nagging me about it, but knows I dont have a car and just tells me to drive my mom's. I cant always drive my mom's car all the time. I need to go to work and take the car and my mom needs the car while Im at work to run errands all the time. So she ends up just driving me to work and picking me up so she can have the car while Im at work. This can be a very annoying system. I've wanted to get my own car for years, but have never been able to get one. My sister didnt have to work for her car and got it for doing nothing and I don't get the same? My sister has always been the favorite, and always got more love than me, but I still find it ridiculous that my dad refuses to get me a car when he got my sister one. He never payed child support growing up and frankly wasnt much of a father to me. He spends tons of money on unnecessary things he wants and doesn't need, but wont help me out with a car when he knows how much I am struggling. I have asked him multiple times if he would since he got my sister one and he just replied "What just cause I got your sister a car, that means I gotta gets you one too?" I mean... kinda.. YEAH? I think Its only fair. What do you think about this? Am i just being an entitled brat or is my dad just picking favorites? I just feel hurt here. I'm not even asking for anything new or close to new. I'd take the oldest most beat car there is as long as it runs. |
Posted: 26 Mar 2020 08:00 PM PDT My father's family is basically pure evil. My grandmother and step grandfather have treated me like a dog my whole life. They beat me starve me, and have never been there for anything my whole life. I have been strangled they stomp on me. They destroy my things. They beat me baseball bats. They punch me all the time. My father is violent like them. He constantly degrades me especially in front of people. My aunt hates me. I'm constantly told no one loves me. My cousins all want me dead. I think about killing myself all the time. Should I give a damn about them? |
Question: Is my dad planning something? If so, what could it be? Posted: 26 Mar 2020 07:55 PM PDT My dad moved in with me temporary. He lost his job and promised to stay with me temporary and get a job. He has been living with me for 4 years and only worked for 5 months in all that time. My mom and him are divorced. She told me he has always been lazy. I was very young and did not remember him being like that. I'm 30 years old and told my dad plenty of times to get a job and save money because I will eventually have a family on my own and couldn't bring him with me. He said not to worry about him. My dad left to visit family members and stayed for 5 months. During that time, My bf and I bought a house. I called him to let him that I was moving out with my BF and I couldn't bring him with me. I told him I was moving at the end of the month and I wanted to give him enough time to plan. He replied by saying that he is old and he wishes that when I turn his age, I am not in his position. He got himself in that position. He never wanted to work. Only jumping from house to house and always asking for money. he never wanted to work. I told him I was moving at the end of the month. He literally just came today and haven't said anything. He called me today and asked me if I wanted to tell him something. I said I told you I was moving next week. He came today and is just sitting in a corner and hasn't said anything about taking his things or anything. Why did he wait until the last minute to come over my house? He knew I was moving around this time? Is he planning something? |
