Now I know that's not a very long time, but we've developed quite a strong relationship. The attraction and commitment to the relationship seems very mutual based off her actions and the conversations we've had. I know well in my mind that she wouldn't even think about cheating on me. Loyalty isn't necessarily the issue here I guess, but I've just always been the somewhat jealous type. I struggle with anxiety as well so those two together aren't a great mix. I get especially jealous when she goes to parties when I'm not there. I have trust in her but don't like the idea of her being under the influence of alcohol while I'm not around. She's pretty good at handling her liquor but it still bugs me a little bit. Not that I don't trust my girlfriend, but I don't know how I feel about her being drunk around a bunch of also drunk guys. How do I deal with that paranoia without bothering her about it? |

We went on two dates, and I was moving too fast (nothing physical, just how I was approaching her and the relationship). So, she said she was not ready but tells me she sees a possibility of us being together in the future. So, after another attempt of hanging out with her she tells me she's busy with school, then I stop texting her completely. A couple months pass by. We still chat in groups and stuff but we get super nervous and anxious around each other and so we don't say anything. However, in person, she is usually the one to say to something first before we talk. When we talk, we never stop smiling at each other. (I've seen her interact with her other friends too, she's not a flirty/bubbly personality type. She is super introverted and is known for her poker face). Recently, there have been more than one occasion where we were often steal glances at each other, or she would stare at me from a distance then I would stare back, vice versa. The other day at camp while everyone was leaving the fire, she turned around while standing near me, faced me and we just stared at each other in the dark before she walked back. There was a situation at camp where one of the kids thought she was my girlfriend too. How should I approach this situation? Keep going through this staring phase until she and I get more comfortable to talk one on one again and build a friendship or try to ask her out again? |

Once I could tell she knew, I ghosted her on social media, and left her alone. She's creeped out by that though and tries to normalize things by talking to me, or at least has at times. At first, it was just a mild infatuation, but the more afraid I became about the impact it could have on my job, and the more I ignored her, the more it put her on a pedestal in my mind and now she inadvertently holds the keys to my relationship validation. She got in to a relationship in the time since this happened, oddly with another co-worker. It's extra anxiety inducing trying to avoid both of them and constantly search for sterile conversation that can't be misinterpreted as passive aggressive. I'm starting to get mad at her for not wanting me, and I know that's unhealthy and uncalled for, especially if I supposedly like this person. If I could not be mad about it, I would not be mad about it. I'm worried I'm going to lash out at her if I'm not careful. I want to keep this job too, especially since I like almost everybody there except for those who know, and the benefits are great. Any insight is helpful. "she used to be one of my direct supervisors" ouch! That's dangerous. Thankfully this woman is not a supervisor to me. Then I feel like I'd really be in trouble. I also have never asked her out, deleted her number, and try to only talk to her about work unless she says something else, at which point I keep it as brief and innuendo and suggestive free as possible. Your situation actually sounds nothing like mine, short of the fact that you liked a girl you work with. |

I occasionally do see her in person, and keep in touch via social media. However I eventually realized her texts were coming way too often sometimes 5-8 times a day! ... Generally her messages are a play-by-play of her day, about doing laundry, what her kids are up to photos of what she's eating. Frankly, I can't take it anymore. I stopped responding right away, and even expressed keeping my phone on night mode while I'm working. When that didn't work, I waited days and offer brief responses ... but her texts just keep coming. I know she must feel lonely and disconnected, and I really don't want to hurt her feelings. But I just don't have anything in common with her. I'm at a loss. Why can't she just take a hint?? |

For some ungodly reason, I cannot even find one that wants a serious relationship. Maybe I'm picking wrong or maybe I'm the problem lol. ANYWAY - six months ago I had a really painful breakup. You guessed it - the guy didn't want commitment anymore and backed out. This one hurt like hell. After months of wallowing I finally decide to go out with someone new. This guy spent a week getting to know me (texting) before we met up. Our first 2 dates were so awesome. It was so easy, there was chemistry, and I actually had FUN. He asked to see me a few more times after that. Fast forward a few weeks: he asks to see me, I agree, AND HE DISAPPEARS off the face of the earth. Doesn't contact me for 6 days. I finally text him something along the lines of "haven't heard from you in a while, I'm assuming you're not interested, wishing you the best" and he responds in 60 seconds flat saying "good luck to you as well" ......WHAT HAPPENED????? My god I can't imagine having to waste my time again on another new person. Especially one who doesn't feel that I'm even worth a "break up" text! Now I'm depressed again because I let myself get excited about this guy and he's gone. :( |

Right now we are about two hours apart. She would be very flirty with me and would always be enthusiastic to talk to me. However, during our third (and latest) text convo she didn't respond to my last text. And it was a question. It was late at night, so she could've went to sleep, but she never responded; and it was two weeks ago. I haven't been losing any sleep over this, but I still am interested in her. Should I text her again? Or just wait for her to text me and if she doesn't, oh well? |
