Question: Is this just being greedy? Posted: 22 Apr 2019 07:53 PM PDT My daughter wants to have an expensive wedding 70 thousand dollars Her bridal registry is asking for people to donate money to a house down payment and toys for the grooms dog What are your thoughts? I am not happy with my daughter |
Question: Should I demote my best friend from Maid of Honor spot? Posted: 22 Apr 2019 07:21 PM PDT I've been engaged for almost 3 months. My best friend of 6.5 years is my Maid of Honor. Sadly, though, she has had zero part in my wedding planning. At the moment, I have a Maid of Honor and 3 bridesmaids. 2 of my bridesmaids live out of state and 1 of them has been more help than my local Maid of Honor has. Lately, she's been hanging out with another close friend more (kind of funny since this girl bullied her relentlessly back in high school) since the girl moved back home. The girl is going through a divorce and has 2 young kids and my best friend is single and has a daughter that's close in age with both kids. I guess right now they have a lot more in common than my best friend and I do, so I'm kind of left out. My out-of-state bridesmaid suggested we have a bachelorette party in Vegas next year (wedding is next fall) and everybody thinks that'll be a great idea. My Maid of Honor hasn't said a word about it. My fiance said that technically, the MOH is supposed to throw the bachelorette party. My local bridesmaid has also been more of a help during the wedding planning and we're closer now than I am with my MOH. Should I demote my MOH to a bridesmaid and bump up my local bridesmaid to MOH? How do I go about talking to my best friend about it? You must have never been married or planned a wedding, Panda person. The Maid of Honor actually does have specific traditional MOH duties. Bridesmaids are technically supposed to do all of that other crap you mentioned. I was not saying she should spend more time with me than her other friends. I was saying she hasn't been around much and hasn't tried to help with this wedding at all. I doubt she even knows what colors I chose for my wedding. I'm not even obsessing over my wedding. My parents are both deceased, I have no family really to help with this wedding so I need my wedding party to help out a bit with the planning. That doesn't make me immature or not "grown up", you jerk. Susie, trust me, the last thing I am is a bridezilla. I have no family, so I have been having to do all this myself. The least my MOH could do is help out a little and I don't even mean financially, necessarily. She barely acknowledged the engagement. Okay, I'm not even talking about the dang bachelorette party. I couldn't care less, didn't even consider it. My bridesmaid brought it up and I thought it was a fun idea. That was just a freaking example. I couldn't give a rat's *** about a stupid party. Think before you speak, folks. None of you have been helpful. You all chose which parts of the question you wanted to respond to and judge me for and you all chose the same exact parts. Again, I DO NOT CARE about a stupid party. All I want is my best friend who I asked to be my Maid of Honor, to give a crap about my wedding at least a little bit. I have NO FREAKING FAMILY like I'm sure the rest of you assholes have, so it would be nice if my wedding party helped out some. Geez!!!!!!! Anonymous crack whores don't get to tell ME to "get a grip." |

Question: If wedding officiant is part of groomsmen party does he need to match? Posted: 22 Apr 2019 07:26 AM PDT The reason why I was hoping no is because he s a hard suit fit (big boy..) and we could save $$ with just getting one on sale from macy s (~150) vs. renting one (300) just to fit him. I was thinking the officiant maybe just wears same tie but not same suit? I m trying to help the best man who has never even been in a wedding. I forgot to add one important thing (dough) the officiant is ALSO in the wedding party. Hope that helps which is the real dilemma. |

Question: Boyfriend made a scene about my relatives and I'm realizing for the first time everything? Posted: 21 Apr 2019 07:32 AM PDT My bf argued really bad with my cousin. He is 23 and I am 18. My cousin is 27 and her bf is 32. I was staying at my grandma's house for the holiday. My grandma invited him over to get to know him. He came for lunch. In the morning I had a shower and my cousin argued with me cause she said I used up all the hot water and now her fiancé, who came from the beach, is all sandy and cannot have a shower. She told me lots of hurtful things and made me cry. As my boyfriend came he asked me what happened but I denied everything as not to ruin the lunch. After it he went outside for a smoke. My cousin again said it was all my faukt about the shower, that I am spoiled (shes been telling me this since I was a months old baby) and attacked me with words when I answered her back. My boyfriend came back and this time insisted with me telling what happened and I told him. He got mad and went to my cousin asking how do you dare? You bully her cause she's too young, and said are you afraid that idiots' b*lls get cold? My cousin argued with him and told him he was an a****le and they both insukted each other. Her bf was shocked and didnt know what to say, tried to calm diwn my boyfriend but he insulted him with his ethnicity (we are eastern european and he is western). My bf grabbed my hand and took me away and smashed the door really hard. I think it's all over with my relatives after what he did. When I told him things like this happened all the time since I was a child he was shocked. What do you mean with competition? He argued first with my cousin and then with her bf, because he hated that they were grown adults and treated me like that. It'a not the first time I am treated like this in my family. I was always let down and very often family members have made me cry also in group. |
