Posted: 24 Apr 2019 05:36 PM PDT I sent the guy I like a follow request. A few days past and he still didn't accept nor deny my follow request. Then I saw he started following someone. My friend followed him and he rejected her follow request. I checked to see if he rejected mine but it still says requested meaning he didn't accept or reject my request. He definitely knows who I am. We were coworkers and we joked around with each other a lot. I'm confused why he didn't just reject my request when he rejected my friend's. Also don't just say talk to him in person because he quit so now I don't see him regularly anymore. |
Question: We share the same day, what should I do? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 04:56 PM PDT I have my birthday on the actual day (Sat) while hers is 4 days later and on a weekday. I was gonna plan my own thing but said we can share and still have it at her venue with her friends. What do you think? |
Question: Why can't i add my friend on snap? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 04:44 PM PDT I go to my messages and notice that my friend s snapchat username is showing instead of her snapchat name. I sent a message and it says delivered. I thought it was weird so when I looked at her info it was saying add friend instead of view friendship like the others. I click the add button and nothing happened. She s not under my friends but I can still search her under new chat or add friends. I click the add friend button there and still nothing happens. It just continues to go back and say add friend. I was able to add a random person just fine so idk what s up. |
Posted: 24 Apr 2019 04:17 PM PDT I once asked my friend if they wanted to go out, and that s what they said. Is that just an excuse? because I know they actually had noche latina that day. |

Question: Do you think it was petty of me to ask this? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 02:34 PM PDT I'm on my University's marching band and I play the sousaphone (marching tuba). There are 10 sousaphone players and we don't have assigned instruments, so we each just grab a sousaphone and put it together. Last night during practice, I put together my sousaphone, only to realize that I left my mouthpiece in my car. So I left my sousaphone next to my bag/stuff, and when I got back from my car, this girl had taken my sousaphone as her "own". So I told her, "can you give me my sousaphone back because that's the one that I put together" her response was, "so, I'll be gone in an hour". She's been in the band longer than me and she knows the rules: you set up your own sousaphone. So was I petty for asking for my instrument back? |
Posted: 24 Apr 2019 02:28 PM PDT My college roommate and I got into a huge argument and had to be separated. He moved to another room.We did not talk to each other for almost a year. Now, we are really great friends who respect and admire each other. We go to the gym and workout sometimes or play chess. So, does fights and arguments bring people closer in a way? |
Question: My girlfriend often text her friend's brother? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 02:05 PM PDT Long story short, her "best" friend went to life in prison for killing a rival gang member. To this day, she is never over it and tend to think about him at time, which makes me think about letting her go. Her best friend's brother will pick her up from the train station, and they go visit his brother in prison. Unusually, he text her about her day and what she is doing...For the end of the semester, she said she is going home but not to her home. She is gonna get picked up by him and stay couple nights there to visit his brother in prison. I'll offer her a ride back to her hometown and she doesn't want me too. It seems like she just using me. All these thoughts go through my head, thinking what if he and her get intimate? |
Question: What should i put in a gift box for my friend? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 01:29 PM PDT He s one of my best friends and he told me he s set on going into the military. I m scared because i have been seeing him every single day for the past four years and now, since high school is quickly coming to an end, i wont be able to see him anymore. It really hurts, but i wanted to do something special for him. I already am writing my favorite memories of us in a whole notebook. I am also planning on getting him custom made dog tags with a nice little note on them. i don t know what else to get him though. Any type of idea will be greatly appreciated. He s one of the only people that stuck by my side when i went through one of the worst parts of my life, so I really just want to do something super special for him. |
Question: My friends found out I cut-help? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 11:42 AM PDT A bit of context-We re all 12/11 and go to Secondary school, 1st year. Yesterday, I did the most cuts I ve done in one time ever. I think it was 49 in total, up my wrists, on my thighs. When I d finished I felt so ashamed. My friends have seen a glimpse once but they believed it was my cat. However, today, as I was getting my bag they saw the cuts and took my arm. They then just asked if cut. I said it was my cat. After school, they asked me again so I ran off. They caught up and pretended everything was fine. I bought a sweet and later they pressed onto me again until I admitted, even trying to bribe me with sweets. They demanded to see them and what I used and how deep I thought they were. I felt like they were concentrating on the cuts rather than me, I know that sounds weird, and I kinda wanted them to ask how I was. I said it had just been a really bad day. My friend-I ll call her Jessica-cut me off by saying she d had worse days with her family issues. I then said that I d been clean for 5 months. They exchanged a look and "Jessica" started crying and said how bad it made her feel and that she had another friend who cut and I shouldn t cut because she has anger issues and a bad home life. I just said I d answer them later and scampered off. I just feel like they didn t try to make me feel any better-ask why I did that, how they could help, that they were still my friends. I m being selfish but I feel like they invalidated me a bit without even knowing why I cut. |
Question: How do I fix a friendship I completely ruined ? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 11:40 AM PDT my friend logged into my snapchat and started reading through my messages (I have no idea why she did that) and found that I was talking about her behind her back. I was basically complaining about how annoying she was that day. Anyway she's blocked me on everything and won't accept any apologies. My entire friendship group has her back so I have to sit on my own at break and lunch in school. I really miss her and am genuinely sorry. How do I fix this? |

Question: Did I really screw up here? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 09:01 AM PDT I was a high school senior that had a summer job. At the job I met Jan who worked at the same place. We often had lunch together at the company cafeteria. It was there I learned how hard it was to be a single mom and work full time. Jan had a daughter Amy who was my age. Jan and I became good friends. I also met her daughter Amy who some times picked her mom up from work and I became friends with Amy. After my summer job was over I remained good friends with Jan. We decided to have dinner about once every month just to have some fun and some great conversation. There was nothing romantic about these meals or so I thought. It was just two friends getting together for some fun and great food. Amy told me her mom very much looked forward to these meals. It gave her a chance to get her hair and nails done and maybe buy some new clothes. But most of all it got her mom out of the house to enjoy herself. Amy recently told me that there was a problem. Amy said her mom was developing romantic feelings for me and Jan could not help it because I had been so wonderful to her mom. Amy said these dinners were making her mom feel young and alive. Something she had not felt in many years. She said please do something about this. Amy said I don't want to be calling someone my age dad. OH MY GOD. What have I done? How do I get out of this mess without anyone getting hurt. Any and all advise will be GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS. |
Question: I'm WAY too nervous to see my favorite former teacher again!? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 08:46 AM PDT I'm an 18 year old girl with Autism. Because I have Autism, I get extremely nervous to the point where i'm scared to death and I have a panic attack when I see someone again who I haven't seen in a really long time. What I mean by that is i'll be shaking really bad, and running away and hiding from the person i'm reuniting with after years of not seeing them. I just get really nervous to hear their voice again and things like that. So basically, I get nervous whenever i'm experiencing something i'm not used to. In 5th grade, I had the sweetest, most caring and nurturing assistant teacher(I had 2 teachers in 5th grade). She was young too, around her mid-20's when I had her, and she was also very pretty. She was my favorite teacher of all time, and I was also her favorite student because I have always been really smart and a good student. I was also very sweet to her, which she has always appreciated and loved about me. I had(and still have) such a special bond with her and she and I are still really great friends today. I recently reconnected with her through Facebook after several years of not speaking to her at all, and she and I have been keeping in touch by messaging each other and commenting on each other's Facebook statuses. Well, I asked her if I could see her again sometime and she responded saying yes and asked me if I wanted to meet up with her for coffee this weekend. I said yes because I miss her and REALLY want to see her again! She and I are supposed to meet up at a local Starbucks this coming Saturday. I'm really looking forward to seeing her again and catching up, but I haven't seen her since I was in elementary school(8 years ago), so I'm WAY too nervous to see her! I'm SCARED to see her! I'm shaking really bad right now just thinking about it! I'm not used to seeing her and it's going to feel really weird seeing her again! I've told her how painfully nervous and scared I am to see her, and she told me that I don't need to be scared or nervous around her and that she's really excited to see me. I'm nervous to hear her voice again(she has a really high pitched, sweet voice and she's naturally soft spoken). Her voice IS really cute and adorable(she sounds like Fluttershy from My Little Pony), but I'm not used to hearing her voice anymore and I'm nervous to hear it again. I haven't heard her voice since I was in elementary school! Not only that, but I get extremely nervous for a person's really excited reaction to seeing me again for the first time in a long time, and I'm extremely nervous for HER excited reaction to seeing me again! I'm nervous to see her all happy when she sees me and for the big hug she's going to give me! It'll feel extremely weird HUGGING someone I haven't even seen in person in years! How can I feel less scared and nervous than I already am so that I won't be running away and hiding from her on Saturday? Is there a way to not be so nervous and scared? I am having a really bad panic attack right now because I'm going to see her in only a few days and it's going to feel so weird seeing her! It's not shyness that's making me feel this way(I'm actually really talkative and outgoing)! I just struggle with things I'm not used to! It's very hard for me! Are there any methods I can try to not feel so nervous about seeing her again? I want to be able to talk to her without feeling scared or nervous, shaking or having a panic attack. My heart is beating so hard right now! I'M SO SCARED! PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS SITUATION! |

Question: How do I get mom friends? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 06:41 AM PDT I have a 3 boys and a Husband, Im fairly secure financially. I have one friend who has three girls that I do everything with. Maybe I need to explore having other friends but it took years to get ONE friend. Anyone with advice or tricks to getting mom friends without being that creepy mom at the park asking for your phone number? |
Question: Was this girl ever my friend? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 06:40 AM PDT I'm a 20 year old guy. In the fall, an 18 yr old girl started at my work. Whenever she saw me, she would run up to me and hug me, often she would hang on me for a few seconds. She was super cute and pretty. After a few times I asked her if she wanted to hang out sometime. We exchanged numbers. She used to text me everyday. And we spent two times together. A few months ago, she all a sudden stopped texting me. And was "busy". And she stopped hugging me at work. I can't think of anything I did. Then, she left the company and never said "good bye" or "nice knowing you" or anything. It hurt me. We haven't communicated in months but I still think about her. I feel like she doesn't want to hear from me, which is why I haven't texted her. But not sure. She lived up the street too. Could have been something there. Someone to hang out with close. All my friends live far. Not sure if we really "dated" but I made it clear I liked her, and tried holding hands. |

Question: Toxic people at work that are monsters being shady? Question: Why does my friend never support me, but copies me? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 03:59 AM PDT I'm a girl and I've been friends with this girl for a year. We get on quite well, except I feel frustrated because she is copying everything I do, my hobbies, my interests, my pictures I post, even my dating life. She messaged me after I took up dance and asked me if she could join classes with me. I naturally said yes and since then we have been going to class together. I took photos of myself dancing in a studio and she messaged me asking how I got my photos done and she wants me to take photos of her dancing now. When we got to the studio she asked me to take photos of her dancing in exactly the same way as I did and then she accused me of not taking them properly She's never liked my posts or supported me but continues to copy me I put on social media that I was back into dating and she messaged me asking how I got dates and where I got them from and I told her I met them online so she joined the same dating site and then sent me pictures of the guys she was messaging. I don't get it, why does she keep copying me? It's frustrating because I feel like she's stealing my ideas all the time and I don't have my own identity... |

Even if i'm pretty unhappy with most of my other friendships and know I could be happy with that group if it just worked out? |

Question: What did he mean by "the way i present"? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 10:36 PM PDT I am into public speaking in school. I was having a conversation with a classmate who happens to be an admirer of my public speaking. He has told me many a times that i speak well. Some people do make fun of me when i speak.... Although i speak very well according to the teachers and evaluators....and there are people who speak poorly but they aren't mocked and bullied nearly as much as me. I asked my friend why.... And he was like some people judge you by "the way you present"...and the conversation ended. So what did he mean by that? |

Question: Would this be a dealbreaker? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 10:21 PM PDT Me and this hooked up a couple times and i found out she has a very hairy, unkept vagina. Question: How do I tell my friend I don’t want to room with her for University? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 09:47 PM PDT I have this friend who asked me if I wanted to be roommates this year. We will be living on campus in a standard double. While I love her and at first I thought it was a good choice I've decided that it's not the best for me. Our personalities mesh well at times and don't at others. She's more of a partier and I'm more into doing other things. I do enjoy going to a party or two but I personally don't drink or smoke just because there's an issue with all kinds of addiction in my family. Anyways she's really excited to live with me and I think we should live together for many reason and mostly because I don't want to destroy the friendship her and I have, I think living together will do that. Should I suck it up and live with her? Or tell her that I don't want to live with her and how do I do that? |

Question: Is it normal to feel like this or is it paranoia or something else? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 08:59 PM PDT I always feel like I'm a burden to my friends or that I'm rlly annoying when I ask them for help or talk to them abt my mental health stuff even tho they've told me countless of times that they care about me and will stay with me no matter what. Whenever they don't reply to my texts, I feel like they hate me and don't care about me even tho I know that they have their own life and own priorities. Whenever I see them with other friends of ours, I feel like I don't belong and I'm just that inconsiderate friend cuz I always share my problems and I wish they would rely on me. |
Posted: 23 Apr 2019 08:30 PM PDT My situation. I have a couple of friends. My two main ones (Will call A and J) are who I love and favor the most. It started going downhill when eighth grade started. J, one of my friends, started being mad at me every two months or so. Reasons? It is mainly ditching her. I don't mean to do so, as sometimes I have to hurry to my next class, or sometimes just don't see her in the halls. Recently, all three of us hung out and had fun. Yesterday we came back from spring break. J was a little quieter than usual. I tried talking to her, but she just kinda pushed me aside..? I didn't know what was going on. That night, I got a text from my friend. He was asking if I was mad at her. I was so confused and said no. Apparently she was mad at me for 'ditching' her. Considering the fact that she ignored me twice in the morning for no absolute reason. I even tried talking to her that day. Next day, I wanted to apologize so she can be happy. I told her that I need to tell her something. Her response was, "Save it for later, because I am mad at you right now.." in a angry, stern tone. I gave up everything. I decided to stop talking to my current friends. Didn't even stay with A after school, nor someone I'm dating. I just decided to quit. I guess they seem to not care. I would text my date, but they don't have their own phone or anything to contact me with, so that was off the list. I am currently falling apart little by little as I write this. Sorry for the sob story, I just need advice. |
Posted: 23 Apr 2019 07:29 PM PDT I've been wanting to block this girl recently due to what she post is irrelevant and too open. Yes this girl trust me with her life and a few other 5 people but she post so much on just snapchat on her private story. On her private story, she has talked bout many probably over 50 guys and openly talks bout her having sex with some of them. Her life is all over the place for more other reasons other than this. I kinda just use her snaps and group chats as entertainment when im bored so I am debating whether I should or not? So I decided to see what people suggest on here:) |
Question: Another word or synonym for pointless ? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 07:24 PM PDT Let s say, for example, you were in search of meaningful friendship and happened to encounter and develop close bonds with 2 friends. You did everything together and connected deeply. THEN, lets say they both moved and you felt the need to developing more friendships. One day, you meet someone and spend time with them, only to find out you have absolutely NOTHING in common and cannot come close to your two previous friends. You keep going over his house to talk and hope you could connect, but alas, nothing ever clicks between you two. By continuing to visit him and leaving feeling no connection, what word would be a proper fit to describe it as pointless, or a waste of time? Could I say something like, "Although I was seeking quality friendship like I had in the past, my continuous efforts to visit this guy were negated" |
Question: Should I try to be friends with a girl I used to date? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 07:14 PM PDT I'm a guy in my early 20's. Back in the fall, I dated a girl my age at my work. I asked her out, and we went on two dates. At the end of the 2nd date, she told me she'd let me know about next week. She never did. A week later I asked her when she was able to go out. She said she'd let me know. She never did. Weeks later, she left my company and she hasn't reached out to me since she left. No good bye or nice knowing you from her. Truth be told, our dates were very ''friendly''. She wouldn't hold my hand, so I never attempted a kiss. We did hug though. I thought she was cool and we had common interests. She might have gotten a bf by now, I have no idea. Can I reach out and see if she wants to be friends? She probably wasn't good gf material for me, but maybe a cool friend, you know? She was really hot and it hurt me she just cut me without saying good bye. |
