I had old friends in 3rd grade who didnt speak to me as much in jr high to didnt speak to me at all in high school. I had several case of social phobia which made life extremely hard for me and making friends is that hard. In 3rd grade I didnt have problems making friends. It was until I got to the 7th grade. When I talk to someone new they say they heard about me and people really like me. But they dont say a word to me. That is what confuses me. They were time I caught my old friends making fun of me so maybe those people are lying.

Last school year, I had a best friend who I exchanged secrets with and I was very happy with her. Let's call her "Jenny." Sometimes she really got on my nerves. In the beginning of this school year, I started to really not like her, but I still resumed our friendship. Once in P.E., the teacher was explaining not to give your locker combination to your best friend, because friends can go separate ways. Jenny turned to me and said, "I know that won't happen." I just smiled, but I knew we wouldn't be friends for long. I developed a crush on a guy she really used to like. I started avoided her when I sensed she might know. Once she said, "Are you mad at me?" I said no and walked away. Her other ex-best friend, who happens to be one of my best friends, told her that me and that guy are dating. Me and the other ex-best friend prank call her and kind of have fun, and we did do some things we shouldn't have. (I already feel guilty and regret those things, so don't disown me.) One of the things that really kept me and Jenny going was that we were both overweight. She was always bigger than me, but we could still share our struggles. I am about to sound very prideful, and I am not like this, but here: I became very thin naturally through puberty and I have become very pretty and I became semi-popular. I hang out with the girls she used to be close to. I also hang out with another group of girls who are "popular." (because I like who they are, not JUST because they are popular.) Jenny and I never talk, and she sees me and her old friends laughing and having a great time very often. She glares at me whenever I walk by. And she has seen me and a boy she likes flirting before, and her other ex-best friend told her that he likes me. Again, with her glaring everyday I am certain she is jealous. What do I do with this? Just continue with my life?

My friend had this one girl from school over - I seriously liked her. She looked so hot today too - like, she was going to some sort of party after so she was wearing a dress and high heels. Then a few minutes later I leave the bathroom (with pants on but no boxers) and I tell them all "I feel sick, I'm gonna go home." My friend was like, "um Ok bye." I was stupid enough to wave to my crush. Then I walked out and slowly walked home in disbelief at what happened. How am I supposed to face up to everything at school? I hope they believed my sickness excuse but what if they don't? How am I supposed to face her again? Help??

I can't seem to connect with anyone even if I talk to them. I know a lot of people have good friendships but I haven't had even one friend for at least six years. I have never dated or had a boyfriend either.

So I started a school club with my friend and I always do all the work. I have to make all of the slides, games, buy stuff, etc. and my friend doesn't help out at all to the point where she doesn't know what topic we talk about each week. I tried asking her to make the slides and she'll say she doesn't have time or on Monday, the day of our club, she says she "forgot" to make the slides. Sometimes she'll start fake crying saying I'm asking too much of her. I know she has the time and I'm getting really sick of having to do everything, how do I get her to help out?

So i've been feeling like i'm missing out on my "high school experience" and I just want to be a better person in general. I want to be better I want to draw more I want to exercise I want to do sports but just don't have the motivation so I end up in my bed all day. This gives me existential crisis on how i'm wasting my life, like i'm only 15 I shouldn't be thinking like this why can't I just be a stupid teenager . any advice 😂

Hello im a 17 year old girl and by September ill go abroad to study with my boyfriend. We will probably stay at an ensuite and we need 2 more people (private bedrooms and bathrooms). I had a helicopter mom. She walked my to school and back home from pre-k to twelfth grade. I couldn't hand out with friends or go outside by myself till I was 18. This led to me having no real friends. My mom would accompany if someone ever asked my to hangout. No one wanted to hangout with me. Now I am 19 and in college. My mom is constantly getting mad at me for always staying at home, having no friends, not dating anymore, not wearing makeup, and not being like other girls. When I make attempts, she gets mad at me and tells me that I should be able to do this stuff perfectly like other girls my age. I am just learning to be my own person without my mom's influence. I work in an office with 9 other women. Our boss is a 27 year old single guy who is the best boss ever. We just adore him as a boss and as a good friend. This is going to be long, and have stuff to do with under age drinking so if you are sensitive to that, please exit. My friend, lets call her Brianna, we have been best friends for two or three years now. We were in separable all of sophomore, junior, and MOST of senior year... well until today, Brianna's parents drink a lot, and from what she has told me, but ive never witnessed in the 2/3 years her parents get violent when under the influence. She began to call me "ugly" "fat" and "big nosed".. also "poor" which my parents aren't the best well off, however we aren't poor. I am very hurt by all of this and can't understand why she said all of this. I have been crying for two hours because she was my best friend. what do I do?

I recently split up with someone very close to me and affected me very much however it also helped me realise something and thats all my friends are all fake friends they never want to hang out and always come up with excuses like they are busy or even just leave me on read the only time they talk is at school and i know they don't really want me there. Where i live there is three furniture stores in a role and a run down Dollar General store, (one lane open, long line, people loitering outside bumming money cigarettes etc) There are a few gas stations nearby which has the same thing (long line, one lane open, people out side harassing you for lifts, money cigarettes etc) There is a Wal-Mart that is exclusively filled up with black employees and most of the staff is black and it is located within 5 mile range. So today My friends decided to all hang with each other and not invite me. Today it was me friend a and friends b all together. They both left and didn't even bother asking me if I wanted to come along with them. This isn't the first time the other time my friend A and I were at work and finished and she left and wanted to go bike riding with my other friends and my other friends texted me and said come out let's go but friend A texted me saying that she's tired and is going home so she who was at work with me drove off with them and picked everyone up from their house and didn't include me in and then I called my the others who were in the car and they ignored all my calls and text so I just let it be.

My mom tells me that I'm the kind of person who draws people in. But there is this one kid in my science class, who I feel like will go out of his way to insult me, judge me, and criticize every single thing I do. I never understood why. I don't even know why he started picking on me, and I can just barely recall that it started about two and a half months ago. It started out with him just giving me these really weird looks, like he was judging me and saying "What the heck is wrong with you?", when all I was doing was drawing. But then after a while, he started throwing insults at me. They weren't that big, and they didn't bother me so I just brushed them off. But then he REALLY started to annoy me. One day, he came up to me as I was working on a drawing, and said to me "That looks like my mom taking a sh!t." He then took my sketchbook from my hands, flipped through every single page I had done, and insulted and cursed at every single one before tossing it on the ground. I got angry, but I didn't do anything. I felt really depressed. Since then, his insults have been slowly getting to me, up until recently when they broke through. I was just minding my own business, reading a book, when he comes up to me and gives me a harsh insult. That was the final push I needed. I started crying in class, so my teacher let me go out and take a breather. I haven't been very motivated since then. I don't know why he goes out of his way to hurt me and make me feel this way.

I was talking to this man that I was iffy about for weeks since he's 33 and I'm 18. Everyone said he seemed nice and I should give him a try. So I did. I spent the might and told him that I had classes in the morning and had to be there at 11. He had work at 11. He said it should work out if we leave early enough and I agreed. This part is my fault because I didn't look up how far my campus was from his house and figured since we lived relatively close to my friend, we'd get there in a short amount of time. He woke me up at 10am to look up how far it was. 32 minutes. No way to get there and him to work before 11 but we went on our way. I apologized most of the way and he said it was okay and he knew I was sorry. Then we came to about 6 minutes away from my campus when he pulled how long it would take for him to get to work. Boi. Was. Irate. I apologized more. He then started ranting towards me about how I don't respect his time, why he doesn't mess with young girls because we have tunnel vision and don't care about anyone but ourselves, the fact I wouldn't let him have sex with me, I made his friend mad for questioning the fact that his friend is 55 and was checking out my 19 year old coworker and was speaking about her in a desirable way. Then we were 5 minutes away from my campus when he stops just before the stop line at a red light and yells at me to get out of his car, then tells me "And you BETTER NOT send anyone, because I got people too!" Before speeding off.

A friend invited me to stay at the beach with her and her grandparents. I really didn t want to go but i knew there was going to be a cat there so i said yes. i recently learned the cat died, so there is no reason for me to go. is it okay to back out of this beach trip? I'm in a group for a mock FBA assignment with 2 other people and one of my other partner is doing her part and is keeping in touch with me and really trying get the project done. On the other hand my other partner hasn't even started her part of the project and it's really starting to tick me off because I dont want her to get the credit that me and my other partner deserve. The funny thing is she goes out every night to go and smoke weed with her boyfriend and they are both failing all of thier classes. She claims that she has really bad depression and that's why she is failing all of her classes and understand that she has mental health issues. But we are education majors and this cant fly or else she wont be able to find a job in the future and this is a college class and there is not room for slackers. So if she didnt do her part I was going to be like "dont bother getting up and presenting with us because you didnt do your part and me and "E" are not gonna sit here and let you take our credit" in front of everyone but I dont want to come off as mean. But at the same time I'm sick of her attitude when we are the one who worked hard for out grade

A friend is visiting this weekend because I'd booked us tickets to see a show for her birthday a few months ago. I've just found out the event has been postponed to October, but she's already booked her flights etc. Although the show was the main reason for her to come down, she's staying for a few days and wants to see some of her other friends whilst here, too. I also know that there's another show she really wants to see and I'm happy to get us tickets for that instead as an alternative as I feel bad the original show has been postponed. Now, do I tell her the original show is postponed before she gets here? Or do I just wait till she's here and surprise her with the other show? I feel bad, but it's sadlu out of my control and I want her to have a good time regardless.

I have around 80 friend (I follow and they follow back), and 1000 followers.. But only around 15 of them like my photos. Why is that? Is it because they only show certain photos to people? I know more of them used to like my stuff when Instagram was in chronological order.
