She apologized the next day, said it was a weird night and an ex was there but said I left a good impression. I was talking to her best friends a lot and they really liked me. Second time was at a bar with my friend, she sat with us the entire time. Well next morning she asks if I'm usually super quiet and said I didn't talk much then says she's not interested in being more than friends. Week and a half goes by not talking, I really think and I wasn't myself then, so I texted her apologizing. She said I didn't have to apologize for anything and she didn't say she didn't have a good time just wasn't what she expected. She expected what we were like on the phone. Our phones calls would last hours and I talked the whole time. She said it was bad timing anyways because she's trying to graduate, student teach, and get a job somewhere. She told me early on that she's not ready for a relationship because she's going through a lot but if things happen after graduation then so be it. I've been giving ourselves space and she texted me first the next day after apologizing but I only sent one text and didn't reply back. She replied to my snap story after not talking for 2 weeks. Posted: 25 Apr 2019 07:24 PM PDT Each time I try to leave him he gets very aggressive with me...more in a sexual than physical way. He gets so rough with me in bed that it literally knocks me out. It pretty much seems his method of stopping me from leaving. The part that confuses me is that when he isn't like this, he gives me some semblance of love and affection no one else does, which makes me feel dependent on him. I have no loving family/friends, even the "Christians" from my church seriously abuse me; so without my bf I would be completely isolated with nothing to do. He needs my help but doesn't know how to properly ask for it. I feel like I relate a little bit to the boy in Life of Pi. Keeping a man-eating animal alive paradoxically helped him survive being stranded alone at sea for months. Weird though it sounds, I feel in a similar sense like this guy is my Richard Parker. I know from experience how judgmental, clueless, and even mean-spirited people can be about these types of situations, so even though I expect to get something like, "Oh, just leave him" despite that I already explained that he might kill me for leaving and that I have nowhere better to go, I only want to understand my feelings better. Ideally, I would like to hear from someone who has been through what I have....I guess it's also important to mention that the guy is a former Marine, cop, and bouncer and had a rough childhood, so while none of this excuses his actions, I still see him as being more messed up than evil. |

I've always respect her, helped her when she needed in her divorce, listened to her... I'm tired to feel unwanted and it came to the point that I can´t even go to my boyfriends house because of her (we don't live with each other, because I'm entering my internship for trainee lawyer this year - I studied law and my boyfriend is a lawyer). I think she doesn't care if my family has good values or even if I am a respecfull, nice and intelligent person. Recently, she and her daughter started to lie about things that I haven't done just to cause troubles betwen us, but it didn't work of course. My family thinks she is going to be a trouble for my happiness with him... and I think it will. I can´t imagine having kids and hate their grandmother, it's terrible. I just wanted to, one day, have a family without this kind of problems. But I love my boyfriend and I can´t leave him just because of his mother... what should I do in this particular situation? |

I can't talk to my friends about it because they all think he's a jerk. I've known him for almost nine years now and this is the first time I've seen more than one side of him and now that I have, I can't get him out of my head. And then the other guy is a whole different story. I met him this year. He is super cute and funny and sweet. I don't see him that often though but when I am around him I can almost never look away.
