My mom and stepdad have been married for 30years. He basically raised me as his own daughter since I was 5. I'm 25 now and live at their house with my sister, grandma and my son who's 6 and see's my stepdad as his grandpa. Now 3 years back my stepdad would vacation to his country alone. He ended up knocking a girl up. My mom got over it like nothing. Now in present just last week my stepdad went MIA on my mom. We found out through his boss that he went to his country for 2 weeks. My mom said this time it's really over. When he comes back yesterday he says that he only went to see his child. Now they're back together and sleeping in the same bed. I mean people even told my mom they saw him out with the child's mother. I don't know am I getting angry for no reason? Like my mom has no respect for herself. How should I digest this situation?

My wife is a teachers assistant and this past year she was assigned to work in a male teacher's room, who is an Australian pro triathlete on the side. Spring break comes, and he wants to see the Grand Canyon before his job ends, and he invites my wife to go. I was weirded out, but even more when she said he wanted to stay in Las Vegas. She was uncomfortable as well, but they said they would get separate rooms, and he had no one else to go with. She wanted to help him out as a friend. She did ask if I wanted to go too, but I couldn't due to work. I trusted her and told her to have fun. The morning of her trip, I had to look through her suitcase, not even sure what I was looking for. She had packed her most revealing swimsuit (she has large 36DDs) and a clubbing dress. I also noticed a new bright red thong with tags still on it. I didn't want to make a scene, and didn't say anything. So, she goes, calls/texts a couple times on the trip, and comes back. She continued to hang out with him, right up until he left to go back to Australia. A couple months later her phone buzzed and it was him saying he missed her "busty cups." I saw another message asking her to send him her panties. No other messages. I confronted my wife: 1. Had she been physical with him, and 2. Was she not happy with me? She broke down and was the most upset I've seen her. She said she was never physical with him, and he just had an odd sense of humor. She loved me and was very happy with me as a husband.

There are several members of my wife's family who annoy me more and more each time I see them. They interfere, offer opinions about things my wife and I should do and try to be in control of everything. One sibling thinks he knows it all and the world is his and we all need to be aware of it and he is central to our lives. My wife is very much knows my feelings and it seems, just wants me to keep my thoughts and feelings about her family to myself. I am the kind of person who can, and has, kept my thoughts and feelings private, both personally and professionally. But lately, it feels like my filter has really eroded over time with my wife's family. Things I would not have said in the past come flying out of my mouth. I am also at the point with my wife where if I have something not nice to say about one of her family members, it just comes right out of me and I say it to my wife. Suffice it to say, it's not good when that happens. How do I stop this ?

If I was asked that question what would I say if ; I got married to somebody before my divorce was finalized? So that second marriage was void. After the divorce was finalized with my ex, I got married again to my second spouse. So is the count 2 or 3?

Hi YA, My wife recently underwent a miscarriage at 8 months and she's been very depressed and suicidal. It's scary because she's just given up, stopped eating, sleeping, going to work. She's basically just existing at this point. She won't even talk to me. How can I help her? Is there anything specific I can do? PS. For ladies who have had this happen, how did you deal with physical effects (abdominal pains, headaches, leaking breasts, etc) Thanks

I've been divided lately on a person that I knew from my childhood who unfortunately joined ISIS, I didn't know until he made news in his country . I saw him in videos and I saw him murdering a innocent man . But I couldn't bring myself to hate him as others did because that wasn't the man I knew . He recently died and left behind a wife and 3 kids and I actually cry and get sad when I think of his death . I can probably say I loved the old him not the one who joined IS. But still I'm I wrong for mourning ?

None of my family treat me how I think I deserve to be treated, my brother and father are selfish and self centred, brother used to beat me then used me for free childcare all whilst insulting me to my face, I blew him off, father ran off when I was 14, then started laying the law down to me when I as 28, i blew him off, came back into my life recently started manipulating me and doesnt seem like he on my side at all, told him I only want to email now, mother is abusive and nuts, crazy rules, always looking for a fight, wont listen, doesnt seem to respect me at all, wont see sense, it's like talking to a child in all honesty, none of them seem to respect i was a soldier in the reserves, they think it was a big joke. I have an opportunity to possibly move abroad, do you think i should? I just want to disappear and never see them again, been wanting to for years, I just never had the guts, I was devoted to my mother and I feel like a fool for hanging round for ten years.

My wife and I have been having problems for some time... So about a month ago, i was away for work... Well my wife decided to surprise me and found me with another woman... Now, I admit, I was an idiot, and that was my fault and horrible... So we decided to take a break... Well, I returned home about a week later and apologized... Now again, I know I was wrong and selfish, but she never admits to her role in causing problems to our marriage or being selfish herself, like she ain't never done nothing wrong... So I reminded her about that time a few months ago, that she woke up during the night drank up all the milk, and then when I got up to have my frosted flakes there was none left! Then she brought up again that I cheated... So I'm a cheater, but she can just drink up all the milk, like it's nothing. Atleast I admitted my mistake and took responsibility for it! Until she admits her selfish & wrong ways, I don't know how to fix it... I mean, am I really wrong here?

Of course there is something I could do to totally change the trajectory of how things are going with my crush. Her being my friend on Facebook and going on dates with me, us talking on the phone, but I am stumped. But it's obvious that she really likes me and just me to a lot of people especially those who know her. She treats so many guys the same way.

On Tuesday evening, I had a squirrel sneak into my house. It was running all over. I finally cornered it, and bit me and scratched me a few times. But after feeding it, it has seemed to take a liking to me. Now, I really don't want to have it exterminated, and was thinking of keeping it as a pet. I tried to explain that to my wife, but she is flipping out. I guess last night, she went to check on the baby, and the squirrel was in the crib. Well, she got all upset... Eventhough, the squirrel was just sitting in there in the crib batting around some of the toys, and didn't even harm the baby. I tried to explain that the squirrel probably never had toys, and just wanted to play... So I don't see what the big deal is. But now, I got all these ultimatums, about the squirrel goes, or she goes, blah, blah, blah... Can anybody give me any advice as to help us rectify this so her and the squirrel can coincide together. As I would hate to think that she would put her petty health concerns over my deep desire to have a loving pet! I don't think I could be with that selfish of a person.

My husband and I have been married for over 12 years. In August, I caught him looking at porn and he used the excuse I couldn't sleep with him bc I had a miscarriage and was unable to during it so he resorted to other means. Secondly, I've noticed him right in front of me checking out other women.. he can check out whomever he wants, I just prefer he doesn't do it when I'm present, for respect. I give him that respect. I'm pregnant and he came to one of my appointments and happened to notice my weight. He kept telling me he loved me and mentioned my weight (the number). I know he's telling me I'm fat. He says no, but he's brought my self esteem so low. I plan on losing the weight after my child is born in June. I've already met with a nutritionist. However, everytime I eat around him now I feel like he's judging me. Asking me if I left him any food, mentioning my weight number and he stares at me when I eat. I actually only around him feel like I can't swallow when eating with him. When I'm not with him eating, I feel fine. I think it's anxiety. Anyone ever feel this way?

My boyfriend and I are high school sweethearts. We've been together through thick and thin, tragedies, family deaths and problems and we've lived together for over 3 years. We both moved away to the same university and have an apartment together, but he still hasn't popped the question. When we were teenagers, he gave me a promise ring and he still says he wants to get married but won't propose until after college. We've had several fights over it and it's to the point of where it normally happens anytime people that we know get engaged. It sounds stupid, but I have a timeline of goals I wish to achieve and I want kids before I'm 30. I'm 22 right now and I have almost six years of school left before I finish grad school. He has two before he finished undergrad and I want us to be financially stable before we have kids but if we wait to get engaged until we're 29, I can expect to not have kids until after I m 35. I've read countless studies about the increase of birth defects and lower conception percentage. I want two children and this would end up with us having the second around the time I'm in my late thirties and I'm not ok with that. I don't want to force him into marriage and he seems set on waiting. I've given up on convincing him because he knows what I want and I know what he wants so I'm going to have to find some way to deal with this resentment, anger and pain I feel but I don't know how. Does anyone have any advice for coping with situations like this?

This past Sunday my parents gave my 23 year old son an old car they had sitting in their back yard. It's been back there some 4+ years. My son got it running and drove it home and parked it in our driveway. When my husband got home the other night my son was sitting in the car on the phone. Some words were exchanged between them and my husband comes in the house and tells me what they talked about . Apparently, my son tried to be a mechanic and decided to top off the brake fluid reservoir. But instead of putting brake fluid in it he filled it up with antifreeze because he didn't know what he was doing. So now there's antifreeze running through the brake lines. Well, yesterday my husband got home from work and the car was gone. My son was out riding in it. Here's the kicker. That car has no insurance, no registration, he has no license, and on top of that, he's now driving it with antifreeze in the brake lines. Plus, one of his friends gave him a paper tag like you get from the dealership or car lot to put on the back. My husband just told me that if he ever catches him with our 3 year old grand daughter in that car he was going to call the police on him himself and give a full description of him and the car. He even said that he'd go the route of crawling under the car and disconnecting something so he can't drive it until he gets everything legal and fixed. Is he really serious about calling the police on my son?

My husband is friends with a guy & his a girlfriend. This couple has been to my home 20+ times & spent many holidays w/us over the years. We've never been invited to their house until...a few months ago my husband & I were not speaking for a few days & all of a sudden he got a text from the friend's girlfriend saying she was having a dinner & wanted to know if he could make it. She never reached out to me, didn't mention me in the text & subsequently, my husband went to the dinner without me. When she and her man weren't speaking & she didn't come for Thanksgiving, I reached out & let her know I was thinking of her at least... I let my husband know exactly how shady and hurtful that was on both of their parts & and that she is no longer considered a friend & any woman that texts my husband & invites him anywhere without his wife is shady. I used to help a single dad in our neighborhood whose kids went to school with mine. I would pick his kids up from the bus stop & drop them off & occasionally let his kids come over & play. Well my husband only had to verbalize his discomfort 1 or 2 times before I cut that off... I asked him not to bring this couple to our home anymore & since the incident, this girl has popped up by herself and with her boyfriend on numerous occasions. Today, my husband invited them over to our cookout (WHY?) & when I walked into my kitchen and unexpectedly saw her, I said I had to leave. He called me & said what did she even do anyway?

So, a few weeks ago, we decided to take a vacation with our two teenage kids to California. We are from Chicago, and I decided that instead of flying it would be fun to drive, so we could all be together… I mean, I barely see my kids anymore, I feel like one day I am going to wake up and my babies will be all grown up, and then what would I do… So, I must admit, the trip was a unmitigated disaster… I mean, our car was vandalized in St. Louis, We stopped by her Cousin Catherine's and her husband borrowed a bunch of money from me, and they forced us to drop off my wife's Aunt Edna (who is no picnic to deal with), in Flagstaff along the way… So after an argument one night outside the Grand Canyon, I went down to the hotel bar, and saw this beautiful young woman, who actually took an interest in me… Now, I NEVER TOUCHED HER! But she did ask me to go skinny dipping and did… The only problem being, the water was so cold, that when I jumped in, I started screaming, and my wife heard me, and saw us… NOW AGAIN, I NEVER TOUCHED THIS GIRL… I was under a lot of stress from Dealing with my wife and HER family, and just needed to blow off steam… How come she can't understand that?

Alan, my ex husband and I are on friendly terms. We did not have any children. Two times in the last 3 years I ran into financial difficulty. I could not pay my rent or car payments. I called Alan and told him my problem and he gave/loaned (I am not sure which) me the money to solve my problems no questions asked. He never ask for the money back. Another time my computer died and I ask Alan how I would get it fixed. He sent a repair tech out to fix the computer and when I tried to pay the tech, he said Alan had prepaid him for the service call. My friends tell me I have to stop asking Alan for help if I ever expect to live on my on. I think that is probably true especially if he gets married again. However it is hard to get a loan from a commercial source and so easy to just call Alan and he will solve my problem no matter what the problem is. How do I stop my self from taking the easy way out and calling Alan when I have a financial problem? ALL ADVICE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
