Question: Should I stay married, or should I divorce him? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 09:45 PM PDT (I'm a 24/F and he's the same age). Money is a big factor, as well as his religion that I can't see myself being a part of any longer. There's also the issue of rushing into marriage and being unprepared, and how I wish I could've waited. (Basically, I want to do things in life that I should've done before getting married). I have also been falling out of love with him for a while... I don't want to regret anything later on, so I'm not fully sure on what to do just yet. I want to be happy and do things that I want to do in life without any restrictions (at least for a while), but at the same time, I don't want to hurt the man that's loved me since high school, and just the thought of having the divorce talk with him gives me extreme anxiety. (I should also mention that he also has mental issues, and that I'm afraid he'll do something to himself or others). |
Posted: 16 Apr 2019 07:09 PM PDT My wife and I are college sweethearts. We have been married for 12 years and have a 9 year old daughter. We threw a party at our house on Sunday Night inviting all of our friends over. During the party, while most of my wife's friends and my friends were on our balcony talking, one of my wife's closest friend of 14 years and I were kissing in the kitchen and 2 of my wife's best friends caught us and told my wife about it that moment. My wife threw her closest friend of 14 years out of the house and my wife told her husband about it also. We ended the party. After everyone left, my wife asked me how long have I been seeing her and I told her it's been going on for 2 years. She asked for a divorce. What are my options from here on out? |

Question: Should I end our relationship? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 06:14 PM PDT I met my gf of 2 years while she was in graduate school. She will be finished this May. We both know the area we are in is not a good area for her to live for the type of employment she is seeking. She's already had 8 interview in a town 4 hours from here. She's lived there previously and is somewhat familiar with the area. She wants me to move with her. My job has offered me a transfer up there in another position with the company but I'd be taking a pay cut. I just got a promotion here, my home is paid off here, all of my family lives here, I've never lived anywhere else. I think she's asking a lot of me to just pick up and move. Should I end our relationship? I don't know what to do. |
Question: How far are you willing to go to please your husband/wife sexually? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 05:10 PM PDT What if your not comfortable doing them? Would you still do it just to please them? What if they've also done things sexually that they didn't like just to please you? My husband wanted me to try and "rim him" which in not totally against just kind of weirded out that he'd ask really Would you if your wife or husband asked? |

Question: Dating a Divorced Dad? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 01:35 PM PDT I have been dating a divorced dad for about 4 months now. We are fully committed and already talked about the future. Yesterday I found out from his "ex-wife" that they are still married. She found me on social media. I asked him and he confirmed that they still live at the same house and have "separation talk" but proceeded with saying im the best thing that has ever happened to him. I wrote him 2 texts and looks like they where not delivered. His phone is off all day today. His wife is filing for divorce as she wrote me. Im kinda at a loss right now. I dont know how to proceed. Heart break sucks. Do i just wait for him to see what he says or if he even responds to me in a couple days? |
Posted: 16 Apr 2019 12:20 PM PDT 1. Meets her on the internet, to which she lets him move into her house [with her 17-year-old son] two months later, and he proposes to her within that short time period. 2. Says he's a widower whose wife was killed in car accident, and that he has two children. But his fiancée has never met his children or extended family, nor as she seen pictures of them or spoken to them on the phone. 3. Says he has two jobs (college professor and lawyer), but picks up his fiancée [in HER car] from the train station upon her commute from work every day. 4. Speaks to her son like he must obey him and abide by his rules; gives him the "don't test me" look; advises his mother how to raise her child; belittles him [in front of his mother] in a militant manner about the fact that he never had a job, despite the fact that he's in school and not sitting around doing nothing. 5. Tells his fiancée and her son (who's graduating high school in a month) that his last name will legally be changed, as well as on his diploma. |
Question: How to tell my wife to stop smoking? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 12:00 PM PDT it's disgusting. she does it in the house and in the bedroom and it smells horrible. i told her to stop and he just laughs. she even hit me when i told her i'm sick of it |
Posted: 16 Apr 2019 11:04 AM PDT They never are the happiest couple and often argue but divorce, I understand it happens after 6 years of marriage sometimes but 40 years, I am in shock. My Dad gives the silent treatment and my Mom is argumentive with him but again, 40 years. I am in disbelief and am the only one of their kids not married (I have 3 siblings). I have Asperger's which makes it worse. Again they are not a dream couple but never was divorce or separation discussed. No one in the families of my parents are divorced except one brother of my Mom's and we seldom see him anyway (he has been divorced twice and is on marriage 3). My Mom criticized her brother when he left his 2nd wife cause infidelity was involved. I have no idea what the icing on the cake was with my parents but I can't think today I am in so much disbelief. I hate to say this but I am hoping one of them gets cancer so they will get back together knowing the end is near for one. I am aware my Dad has a cousin who when terminally ill had a wife who took him back as they had separated due to the husband's drinking. I hope that happens here as horrible as that sounds. Please advise, I can't think straight, I am in disbelief. My parents are not perfect and I am realizing that now for the first time. I am 31 by the way and female. PhilosophyAddict I am not a troll. I am this upset. Divorce is fine when the couple is not married like but this is my whole life. |

Question: Is it legal and OK to marry an ex husband? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 09:13 AM PDT I recently had an unexpected 3 day hospital stay. I did not expect to have any problems with the medical bills as I have insurance from where I work. I did not know the doctors were not part of my insurance plan. I was out of pocket over a thousand dollars. They turned their bills over to a collection agency which called me several times a day. I also got letters almost every day demanding payment or they would get a court judgement. It was a terrible. I was a nervous wreck. Suddenly the phone calls and letters stopped. I did not understand why. It was sure a relief. I told my parents what had happened and they told me they knew why I was not getting any more bills. They had told my ex husband about my problems and he had paid the bills. I was really surprised. I called my ex husband Bob, and asked him why he had paid my doctor's bills. He told me that he knew about the nightmare I was having with bill collectors. They call all hours and threatened to tell your neighbors and boss at work and he did not want me to have to endure that. He said we are friends and "I don't let friends suffer when I can prevent it". At that moment, it was like a MESSAGE FROM HEAVEN. Bob is really a great guy and he still has feelings for me. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. If he will marry me again, I will be the best wife he could ever dream of. Please give me some suggestions on how I should tell him what I am feeling. |
Question: My wife thinks we are divorced but I never actually went through with it. What do I do? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 08:27 AM PDT Already been married and divorced twice before. My friend and I was in Vegas and drunken us got married. When we returned home I told her I would take care of the divorce since I am already so familiar with it. Well then I realized 3 divorces and I'm not even 30 yet is crazy so I never followed through. Should I tell her? |
Question: I'm extremely anxious about marriage... does that make me less "emotionally mature"? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 07:53 AM PDT I've had a few friends lately getting married. One of my friends was 21 years old at the time of the wedding, the other was 19, and the other was 24. I am 23 years old. Marriage makes me super anxious like I've never experienced anxiety before. I was molested as a young teenager, so maybe that has something to do with it? Regardless, I don't see myself getting married anywhere in the near future. Does this make me less "emotionally mature" as my friends who got married? Is extreme anxiety towards marriage normal? |
Posted: 16 Apr 2019 07:32 AM PDT I want them to know the truth and the 13 year old I have told. The 10 and 7 year old I don't want to confuse with the adultery stories. I want them to know their father is a liar so they see the truth and why I had to leave him. |
Posted: 16 Apr 2019 06:42 AM PDT I'd rather get married to a gorgeous person who is so poor. Cause I don't want to get married to some ugly person! |

Question: My wife hit me and is not apologizing? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 01:24 AM PDT I went to the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee while my wife was cooking. She hit me with her cutting board and asked me to sod off because she was there first. I left but later asked her to apologize and she straight up refused. What should I do to make her apologize? Should I stop talking to her and deny her sex? Ana: I'm not getting my wife into trouble over this. Everyone has moments like this, it's okay. It didn't even hurt much. All I want is her apology, and her to realise the she hurt me (emotionally, not physically). |
Question: Just caught my dad sleeping with another woman. What do I do? Posted: 16 Apr 2019 12:19 AM PDT My mom works at night. I came back home at 12am and boom, I caught my dad with another woman. My mom and dad aren't on good terms, they don't even have sex from my understanding. They live together just to raise the kids. BTW, my Mom knows the woman, in fact, they're "good friends" She's married. We're very good friends. Everyone in my family knows her family. I don't want to disclose a lot of info here, but I'm sure you get the whole thing. Should I tell my mom Or just stay out their business to avoid adding damage to an already damaged relationship? I'm 20 btw. Advice, advice!! |
Posted: 15 Apr 2019 11:22 PM PDT She's cold and distant. Has limited patience for me or my friends. Often doesn't care about anything negative I've experienced. I love her and I'm good for her, but she's like ice. What am I supposed to do. Married a long time. She's really been this way for several months. We do go to a marriage counselor. But, not much has changed. |
