Hi I'm Maria and I'm from the Philippines. I'm 18 and I graduated high school last year. I'm in college right now and my parents are paying for all my classes. I didn't want them to but they insisted and said that it's fine with them. I can't work right now because I'm not allowed to. I don't have work permit yet. We moved here in the US a year ago. I won't get my work permit until I get my green card and it's still in an ongoing process. It will take at least 5 years to get my green card and I can't wait that long to get a job because I feel bad for my parents paying for my classes even though they don't mind it and I want to have my own money to spend. I can't even work as a server or a cashier because they require work permit. Do you guys have any job suggestions? My friend suggested that I could babysit for her cousin's daughter for the meantime with three other kids in my house and I could also help her with some yard stuff. I don't mind babysitting because I love kids and my parents are fine with it. Also my friend's mom owns an Airbnb and she said I could work there as a housekeeper but she will register my parents name but will I get arrested if ICE finds out that I'm working without a license? My friends are American but they don't really care if I don't have a license. These plans may sound illegal but I'm not an illegal immigrant if that makes sense. We have complete papers when we got here but I'm still kinda worried about it.

My mom died when she was giving birth to me, and my dad was only 18 when I was born. When I was 11 he got married for the first time and my stepmom has always treated me amazingly. Most people don't realize I'm not hers biologically. I also have a super close and great relationship with my father, now that I'm an adult he's definitely my best friend. I'm also super close with my half siblings who are 10 and 7 years old. (I'm 24) But every once in a while I struggle to feel like my dad loves me as much as he loves them. Am I wrong to think that maybe I mean less to him because of the fact he has a new picture perfect family, and that I'm a reminder of my mom and all the struggles he faced as a young single dad?

I'm currently dating a very attractive girl who for the most part, has very good qualities. However, she has been catered to all of her life and is used to things going her way. I've noticed that she has been less open to compromise versus my past girlfriends. She's also pretty high-maintenance and high-strung at times. I have tended to date average, girl-next-door types. My current girlfriend has been model scouted before. Is this the norm for more beautiful women?

My gf had bonded a lot with my 2 years old niece. She loves her and cuddled her for hours and let her sleep with her when she came to my house. My niece has a heart disease that cannot be solved. The doctors said it can either last 6 months or 1 or at most 2 years. I was shocked when I was told, my sister takes antidepressants necause she cannot cope and hasnt still accepted it. When I told my gf after she asked me where is my niece I told her the truth , she's at the other coast in an expensive hospital we cannot even afford because this is our last chance. She didnt accept that my niece will no longer be with us. I tried to hug her and she pushed me away and run away.

I don't believe in the hormones thing.... he is always sad afterwards. The first time (I mean, mt first time when I lost my virginity to him) he was extremely delicate and worried about hurting me. He cuddles and gets close to me, touches my face but it looks more like compassion than happiness. When I ask him why are you sad he denies being sad and just says he loves me and kisses me and holds me tight, but he doesn't look happy. He never mentions our intimate life, never buys me underwear (and of this somehow I feel grateful because it shows he is not shallow but a sensitive guy). He never touches my butt but only my breasts when he wants to cuddle but never in a sexual or offensive way. I like the way he is, and his discretion is something that I admire so much. I just wonder why he looks sad and compassionate. He's young and gorgeous but looks sad and dreamy. Why is he so?

My gf broke up after she found out that I was still friends with my ex. After I met my current gf I never had any physical relationship with my ex. Whenever I went to my ex town for work I stayed with her coz of her daughter always asked about me. but I didn't had any physical involvement with my ex. I know it was wrong of me to keep contact with my ex. I always considered her as a friend. She had me followed and she called my current gf. She sent pictures to my current gf that were taken when I was in relationship with my ex. I tried explaining to my gf but she won't listen. My current gf still talks to me but she won't understand. My ex asked me to come back and stay with her and I said no. I have been with my current gf for more then a year now and I love her. What should I do? Help?

I'm asking this cause lately I have started to realize the real personality of my boyfriend. I used to see him as a nice, humble, hurt guy who always took a step back because of fear, fear of my dad, fear of hurting me, fear of not being worthy. At the same time he is also stubborn, hates injustice, if he gets mad none stops him from fighting and arguing if he thinks that the cause is worth it (for instancd omce he argued with policem in our country who threw the merchandise of a poor little boy who sold vegetables and fruits on the streets). Before I used to think he was like that, disappointed a d resiged. Now I realize that he is totally different, that under that mask of I dont give a damn there's a guy who actually cares. It's weird cause I am a really sensitive and scared girl (scared cause I was bullied at school) and he is the tough, angry and stubborn one. But when we are alone and he says he needs me, he wants to hug me and hold me and tpiched my face with his hand I feel like I understood nothing of him, that he is actually stronger than he seems and braver than anyone I know. But I never understood why he has become even more rude now that we're together. He's rude sometimes and provocative with bad people, ans throws his anger at them. He feels entitled to do that cause when he was a child his larents died and he had to live with his aunt's family who never really treated him like a member.

I filled out a application for child support and me and the father had a court date. We came to terms and sent in what was needed to cancel the court date. Can I re file for child support?

so basically, my parents are gone for the weekend, and im 13, and so she is taking care of me. i was on my computer watching a movie in the living room and she was walking up to me to hand me dinner and her arm accidently hit the computer and it fell over and the screen shattered!!! its an iMac so the screen is basically the computer. I SCREAMED at her and she SLAPPED my face saying im not paying for it and you better be more respectful and i screamed at her saying she broke my computer and she hit me harder across the face then hit my head and beat me on the head over and over, i ran upstairs and she grabbed the computer and smashed it more. im upstairs in my bedroom crying

I started working for s guy landscaping a few days ago. I told him I've weed wacked, and mowed before (which I have) but he had be weed wack, and mow a lawn yesterday. When he showed up, he said that it took me 3 hours, and that it would have only tooken him 2, and that I didnt make my tracks with the mower completely straight, and said, that I didnt do I good job. We are hedging a 12 foot high, and about 60 foot long hedge. He was having me go and prune the limbs that were sticking too far out. He pointed to one real quick, and I didnt see which one. I guess, and asked "this one" he was like "no! This one! If you were paying attention!) Also, I've used a blower before, and I guess I was going too slow, and he said "you gotta go faster!" And physically dragged me around. Also, another guy was gonna start today, and he said I need that guy that said he was gonna work, because I'm doing all of this by myself. In other words he thinks I'm useless. Also, he makes me wear ear headphones while im using gas powered tools. We took a 10 minute break. When it was over, I went to put my headphones on, and a piece fell off. I was standing there trying to re-attach it, and he says "breaks over! I dont pay you to stand around!" Hes always talking about how we should have been done with a certain job within a certain amount of time even though I know I'm trying my hardest. Do you think he sounds like a jerk, or am I just a whiny millennial?

It's strange because she always said her dream was to find someone who loved her but now that she has it she refuses it. How can you change the way she thinks and feels? She hardly speaks, is always sad and afraid, has always her guard up (not just emotionally), tries not to cry if I am in front of her defending her from everyone and she tells me 'thank you but I can sort it out myself' when she actually cannot and refuses my help, but I am stubborn and I dont care what she wants I'll do what I think it's right. A girl who told me 'why do you care' while crying 'go help some of those perfect princesses who complain if their fingernails get broken, leave an animal like me alone... Because that's what I am, an animal, who doesnt even deserve to breathe or love according to them. It's better off like this, stay away from trouble and enjoy life with who of those b*****. Oh, sorry, I meant princesses'. The girl was badly bullied at school but that doesn't justify her refusal of friends and people who want to support her. She basically refuses me though I did nothing to her but show my support and friendship.
