I get depressed a lot, I've tried online dating and being nice in person with women (although I don't act desperate either), maybe I need to act desperate? Every year I avoid them that sometimes I cant even sleep. I've never experienced being with a girl before and just simply avoided them because I was told to "stop looking" and "just let it happen naturally" so technically I've just been waiting around for a fluke (is there ever such a thing?). i've tried distracting myself with work and other hobbies but it STILL feels like avoiding girls. I'm afraid to even look at girls because of that saying "stop looking". I'm also afraid to think a girl is cute or even have a crush on someone. I go to a lot of places alone, the book store, the mall, or even the cafe to just read my book and sometimes I see girls sitting across from me that i wish i could say something but i dont and just go back to my book. Isnt it true that you meet someone when you stop looking? That to me sounds like "ignore girls. They're nothing but braindead zombies". And now I've closed myself off because I'm worried that if I think a girl is cute, that's a sign of desperation. I didnt know what he meant but i felt like he saw through me or something anyway, recently i left a smiley face on his coffee lid and every since then hes been so open about like himself and his life. This has been something I have got used to and accepted (he goes to every match). We booked to go away for six days in a month (all been paid for a few months back) however he has just found out that his team is likely to be in the final champion league game and said if that's the case he will be going to the match. As a result we won't be able to go away. Also the match won't be in the UK so all he will be doing is watching the match with his family on tv (they are all into their football).
