Question: 7-year-old hiding/sleeping in closet?? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 02:38 PM PDT Recently, I've been finding my 7y/o son sleeping in his closet. When I asked him about why he was asleep in the closet he said he was hiding, when I asked why he was hiding he just said "no reason". Does anyone else kid do this, what is that about. He doesnt do it every night, its only 2-3 nights a week but Its really unsettling to find your child asleep in the fetal position in the closet and he wont explian why past "cuz.." and "no reason". Has anyone else experienced this with their kids, should I be worried. |
Question: Teen Stalking: What should I do?? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 02:12 PM PDT Im pretty sure my sister is "stalking" this boy at school. She's seemed obsessed with him since her sophomore year and I originally just assumed it was high school crush, girl stuff but she's taken things pretty far and this kid hasnt really shown her much interests. He friend told me she follows all of his social media with different accounts. I've found some of his social media pics that she actually had printed. Theyve never formally hung out but he's made it clear to her that she was being "weird" and "clingy" and that he wasnt in to her. At first, as her brother, I supported her and kinda told her he was just being a jerk but since then I've notice her behavior and obsession with him and I get why he's a bit freaked out. But she wont talk to me and just says I dont get it, what worried me is that she seems convinced that there's nothing wrong with anything she's doing and says its just "what people do now". I dont really know what to do from here, she's not listening to anything I say and she technically hasnt done anything wrong or illegal. It just seems like she's obsessing over him and fantasizing about him but that's it. He obviously doesnt know the extent but I kinda feel bad for the guy but also dont want her to get in any trouble either. |
Question: My parents make me sleep in a crib, and im 14? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 01:49 PM PDT i dont know what to do about it. its so humiliating. ive tried calling the cops and cps before, but they didnt do anything about it my parents force me to sleep in my crib every night, and they put a surveillance camera in my room to make sure i dont escape. also, my parents give me a diaper at night so i dont have to get out of my crib, flush the toilet, and wake them up. i have 3 younger siblings, and none of them have to do this |
Question: Why do certain people make me so mad? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 01:44 PM PDT I love my grandmother. I really do but for some reason she makes me so angry. I always feel so awful for snapping at her but she asks so many questions and for unknown reason her voice just gets on my nerves. Is there any reason for this? |
Question: Should I get my son a new tutor? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 01:21 PM PDT My son was failing in Math so the high school recommended a tutor. They gave me a list of tutors. I started calling and most of them had all the tutoring they could do. I called Lisa and she said she was available for 1 hour 2 days a week. From day 1 of her tutoring my son's grades starting improving. She was only getting paid for 1 hour as that was all I could afford but she often spent much more time with my son. After a month of tutoring my son came to me and ask me to please get another tutor. When I ask him why, he said Lisa was so beautiful, hot, and sexy he could not concentrate on math when she was with him. The next time she was here I looked closely at her and she was gorgeous. She had a figure to die for. She told me she is a college student and also has a part time job as a swim suit model. It just does not seem right to tell her she can not tutor my son anymore as she has done wonders for his grades. She is also a VERY NICE person and it is not her fault she is so beautiful. It is my son's fault he can not keep his mind on math with her but I can understand how teenage boys would be distracted by such a beautiful girl. I also do not want to waste my money for a tutor when my son will not learn anything because his mind is on something else. How should I teach him he is going to have to deal with beautiful women all his life and he has to get used to it. Can somebody please give me some advice on what I should do? |
Question: My best friend's Dad has a controlling girlfriend....? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 12:47 PM PDT Soo.. my best friend and I have been friends since birth really. My dad and his dad have known each other forever. We're both 36 & I lost my dad 2 years ago. His dad keeps in touch and is there for me... like my dad would be, if he could. He isn't over at my house every day but he usually calls once a day or sends a quick text to see how my day is just to make sure things are okay. I'm single, 1 daughter, and live on my own. This dad just got divorced and recently began dating a 38 year old. He's 58. The girlfriend told him she doesn't like that he keeps in touch with me & will send a quick text daily to me. She also doesn't like if he comes over and helps me, which isn't often, but occasionally he will do a repair if something happens in my home. He told her he promised my dad he'd continue being there for me and make sure I was okay. I lost my mom at age 30, so I don't have any parents left. I guess she talks to him about me often and I know when she comes over to visit she will compliment me, on how pretty I am. What should I do? |

Posted: 26 Apr 2019 12:01 PM PDT This friend is in permanent foster care, and my daughter says she skips school almost everyday because her foster parents allow it. My daughter skipped a whole day with her and I got a call from the school. An incident involving a fight also happened between her friend and a different girl. My daughter didn't participate in it but she also didn't know what to do, so she was a bystander. She didn't call me because she knew she'd get in big trouble for skipping school. I don't understand why this suddenly happened. She used to be a good kid who never got into trouble until now. The school is aware that the other girl has possible anger and behaviour problems after I expressed my concern. |

Question: My parents make me crawl around? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 10:46 AM PDT they won't let me walk. everywhere i go, they always make me crawl around. they say its cute when i crawl around. my parents said that my only alternatives are being in a wheelchair or in a stroller. |
Question: How do i convince my dad to stop wearing short shorts and tube socks? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 10:45 AM PDT he does it non-stop, and its really frustrating and embarrassing. every time we go somewhere, he wears short shorts. everyone points fingers and laughs at him, but im really embarrassed by this. |
Question: I feel uncomfortable around my brother? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 10:36 AM PDT I am 21 and I have an older brother who's 29. He will be 30 this year. He still lives at home with my mom and I. He doesn't have a license, diploma, not even a permit. He's a drug addict. Does cocaine and drinks and god knows what else. Lately I've had nightmares of him raping me, and in the last nightmare I killed him and was trying to figure out how to tell my mom. He does things that bother me like chew with his mouth open which makes these weird noises that sound similar to people having sex. I've told him several times to please eat with his mouth closed and then he tells me that I have a bad attitude. I've caught him looking at my breasts a few times and when I said something about it he started yelling. He used to fight with me for going out with my friends and little things. Everyday I become uncomfortable even more and just want to get away from him. His friends are low lives like him. settling with a low paying job, and doing spells on people that's better than them. I even feel like his friends were doing magic on me to prevent me from going far in life. I lost the love of my life, all my friends, my job. All I have is my health which I'm grateful for. I just reapplied for school and I'm going to try to get housing on campus. I just got a job too but I was going to get a car first with my money. My brother does nothing at home, all he does is work and expect me to do all the house work. He's not making plans to leave. Any advice on how to deal? Thank you |
Question: Is it reasonable to be mad at my wife? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 09:26 AM PDT My wife and I came back early from our honeymoon, we went to Sri Lanka and was in Colombo during the terrorist attack, we heard it but didn't see it. We went home to Australia straight away. Without going into much detail, my family was angry with me and my wife as soon as we got to Australia, not happy/relieved like normal parents, mine thrive off drama). So we are both pissed off about the situation but it's still my family and I still love them. My wife feels free to tell EVERYONE about what they did. Her friends, acquaintances, her students (she's a teacher) and today I heard her telling her cousins. I've talked to her about keeping family dramas private, obviously it didn't sink in. But since I agree that my parents acted irrationally, do I really have a leg to stand on? Can I even be mad at her? |

Question: Is it worth me continuing to try to cook for my dad? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 09:06 AM PDT I'm upset my dad won't give new meals, i.e. the ones I am cooking instead of my mom, a try. Unless I wheedle him, and at that, he may taste them, but he'll ALWAYS go towards what he wants or what he is used to instead. Which, as a 65 year old, a lot of what he wants isn't good for him anymore. (e.g. steak, eggs, and potatoes when he has high blood pressure, ice cream and more ice cream, cookies, general junk) or else nothing BUT chicken and rice every single day. (Which is healthy and nothing wrong with the meal, but YES something wrong with this every single day when the rest of us in my family would like variety.) I've tried convincing my dad to try other things that are healthy, but he won't. (In the same sense that he will not give up smoking when EVERYONE has tried to convince him not to for years. No matter that he sounds like he's coughing up a lung half the time now) I do not expect talking him into it will change. What is the best thing I can do for MY needs? I worry for my dad, but I think he will ultimately choose to do whatever he wants and only change, IF he ever will, when pain from his choices kicks him in the head. I still have to make food for my dad as much as everyone else--- but should I just make what I'm going to make with the family budget, hope my dad will eat it, and if not just accept that he's going to get for himself whatever he wants, or should I make what I will, and then throw in chicken and rice on the side and be done with it all? ***I've realized that no matter what, I can't cater just to my dad, and it's NOT fair or healthy to only cook the one healthy meal he will eat. If he's going to eat what he wants no matter WHAT I do, I've basically just got to get on with it. I can make what he likes sometimes, but the rest of the time, I'm going to make what's healthiest overall that the majority of us will eat. |
Question: Would it be rude and/or disrespectful to do this to my mother and sister? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 09:00 AM PDT Would it be rude and/or disrespectful to my mother and sister if I went to see the Avengers: Endgame without them? They wanna see it, and they wanna see it with me. |
Question: Sports a waste of time? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 07:02 AM PDT I like football and like the NY Giants. However, I do not sit home every sunday to watch the games. I like hiking and the outdoors. Especially in September & October, the weather is beautiful outside and I am not going to stay home just for a game - I go out hiking, kayaking, swimming etc. I follow the games still and sometimes listen to them on my car radio while driving on my outings on sundays, the only time I stay home is during the playoffs in January. I do not understand why do some guys insist on staying home and watching every game during nice weather? Its silly and a waste of time. You can just follow the game on your iphone or whatever instead. |
Posted: 26 Apr 2019 05:02 AM PDT I can't stop thinking about the situation even though it's been a week. she is 26 and the boyfriend is 30. she invited him over last week when she got off work to watch a movie she said. They went on the opposite stairway which was weird because the game room is not on that side of the stairway. she knew my rule about no men in her bedroom. they were allowed to watch movies in the game room but absolutely no bedroom. I told her it was weird how they went up the stairway that led to her bedroom instead of the other stairway that led to the game-room. My daughter said " it doesn't matter what stairway we take, they all lead to the game room, you are buzzing out for no reason. and if you think we are having sex, we are not, we aren't disrespectful like that. if you don't believe me you can come upstairs periodically and check up on us" I was like " ok well leave me alone now" I still think she is lying and being sneaky and doing something with the boyfriend upsta |
Question: Does my half sister want to have sex with me? Posted: 26 Apr 2019 04:35 AM PDT Ok so I'm a 23 year old man from Los Angeles currently attending University. My father recently got into a major car crash which prevents him from working. I have taken up 2 jobs in order to help with his house payments plus I go to school. I have a half sister who Is from his side who I didn't grow up with but but that I would see at least once every 2 years. She started contacting us a lot about his health and so forth and has been kind of helpful to us. They don't have much of a relationship but she still helps him out as much as She can (she got 2 kids of her own; a husband etc). Recently she came by the house to check on us and as I was walking behind her to go into the living room she bent over all of a sudden and tried to ram her butt into my crotch. I am a football and rugby player so I quickly got out of the way, to which she made a playful scoff at. Now she texted me suggesting that she take me to dinner because I could use a break from all the studying and working. I said sure and we're gonna do dinner just us two next Thursday. It's not like she's a total Stranger because I see her from time to time in family functions but Her last text was pretty close like "hey I love u let's do dinner take a break stop working so hard". I don't have any other sisters only brothers so I have no idea is this is seducing me or just normal for Sisters. |
Posted: 26 Apr 2019 02:33 AM PDT I plan on moving out soon. I just need some help with healthier goods I can have access to while I'm still at home with my mom. She is very strict. She's the type that you see in vines about petty, angry parents. She's the Ultra Instinct mom. She's the mom that doesn't stop asking you to do the same thing over and over again. So sick and tired of it! Need help..! Food..! Healthy, fast, affordable. Quick!!!!!! Cook* Not cool |

Question: Have you ever felt like a fraud? Posted: 25 Apr 2019 10:15 PM PDT Like for example, for me, there was a point in my life, in my preteens where I wasn't very nice to my little siblings, and just wanted to be left alone. Once I hit my teens, I started to develop great guilt, and I became very close to my little brothers and a much better big sister. And now I am in my mid 20s and they are teenagers, and we still hold a close relationship. But I still have this feeling of guilt that comes over me- They also, don't remember any of it, only their memories since I was a teenager. But at times I look at them and in my head I say "I am a fraud, they have no idea how I once treated them, I don't deserve them." It has been 13 years since the time where I wasn't that nice to them, and I still feel great guilt sometimes and feel like a "fraud", do you ever feel like this for one reason or the other? |
Question: I am 18 and my mom doesn't allow me to do anything help? Posted: 25 Apr 2019 08:59 PM PDT I know I have done things that broke her trust in me, but I am trying to grow up and she is deleting all my social media accounts. Overall I get good grades and I'm a responsible young adult, but she doesn't like me to do certain things on the internet. She doesn't want me to talk to certain people I like and thinks they are a bad influence. I want my social media accounts back but I don't have my phone anymore and most of my friends are not in contact with me. How can I deal with this insane obsessed woman? She always tries to control my life and so does my dad. |
Question: Should I feel bad for my father? Posted: 25 Apr 2019 08:18 PM PDT In about a week or two, my mom and I are moving in with my grandma because my mom lost her job and can't keep up on the bills anymore. For a little background, everything started going to sh*t ever since winter of 2016 when my mom lost her job as a nurse which she loved so much. Ever since then we have been jumping houses left and right. We move in somewhere, get comfortable, and 7-10 months later we're in a different house. And the cycle just repeats. My dad can't hold a job to save his life, and the jobs he gets are so low paying. He just expects my mom to carry all of us. He doesn't have a car, and Idk if he has anywhere to go when they divorce. They're divorcing because he is really controlling, and just recently my mom found out he put a tracker on her car. Then she took it off and he put another one on! I could walk downstairs from my room to take a 30 second pi$$, and immediately he gets up and goes in my room to snoop. That's unbelievable. He still tries to control my sister and she is d@mn near 20 and moved out. I'm 17 almost 18 so for now I'm stuck in the middle of all this. I feel bad for him because I don't know if he has anywhere to stay. I don't know if I should feel bad because of all the other sh*t I just talked about. What can I do to help myself? I'm trying not to beat myself up over this but he kind of did it to himself. |
Question: My stepdad cheated on my mom and now they're back together? Posted: 25 Apr 2019 07:45 PM PDT My mom and stepdad have been married for 30years. He basically raised me as his own daughter since I was 5. I'm 25 now and live at their house with my sister, grandma and my son who's 6 and see's my stepdad as his grandpa. Now 3 years back my stepdad would vacation to his country alone. He ended up knocking a girl up. My mom got over it like nothing. Now in present just last week my stepdad went MIA on my mom. We found out through his boss that he went to his country for 2 weeks. My mom said this time it's really over. When he comes back yesterday he says that he only went to see his child. Now they're back together and sleeping in the same bed. I mean people even told my mom they saw him out with the child's mother. I don't know am I getting angry for no reason? Like my mom has no respect for herself. How should I digest this situation? |

Question: Daughter wants to live with her " fun" aunt & uncle.? Posted: 25 Apr 2019 03:45 PM PDT She's 13 and she usually says things like wanting to live with her aunt and uncle( my sister & brother-in-law) because they're more "fun". They live about a 10 minute drive away from us. They almost always bring over cash, gifts of some kind, or their puppy. Honestly, it is fun when we're around them, but what my daughter doesn't realize is that they both work long, terrible hours, and are apart a lot. It's usually when she's being punished that she'll tell me she wants to live with them. I'm not even sure how to handle this. I'm definitely not going to burden my sister with it, but I think it'd be good for my daughter to see that it's not all fun & games over at their place. What should I do ? |
Posted: 25 Apr 2019 10:27 AM PDT Hello guy so my dad and I have not had the best relationship due to him being the way he is. We have always fought and I did not want to be around him so when I turned 18 I did just that. I stopped going to his house as much. We still kept in contact and were fine. My dad however has done a few things in the past 6 months that have really seperated us. We rode dirtbikes all the time when I was younger and have always had bikes. Anyways we have been a little cross in the recent. I ask him to come ride with me and my friend multiple times and dont get a response. Then i ask if i can pick it up and take it out to ride again asking him to come with me and my buddy. He gets mad and says I cant get the motorcycle until me and my mom pay him 3500 dollars. My question is how can I get the bike? Can he hold it at his home hostage like he is? If the bike was in my possession would he still be able to say he wants his money? Please do not say try to make amends because he wants nothing to do with me. He even said that he wants me to change my last name. |
