Question: How to plan a wedding for $5,000? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 06:55 PM PST My fiancé and I don't want to spend any more than $5,000 on our wedding; not including our rings or the honeymoon, just the ceremony and reception. We have both lived in Connecticut our entire lives, and want our wedding to be there. However, there isn't much of anything in Connecticut that's affordable, and we're really struggling to find a venue. We have just under 150 guests, and can't cut it any more down..we both come from enormous families. both our apartment and our parent's houses aren't big enough to fit a fraction of our guests. Is there anything that's affordable, like a park or something? We don't want churches or beaches, and prefer one with both outdoor and indoor options. If you have any suggestions its much appreciated. Thanks! |

Question: Question on how to write wedding invitations? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 12:45 PM PST Here is the scenario: My fiance and I are getting married, but it's not a typical wedding plan. We were originally going to do a local wedding, but because of the cost, we figured we may as well incorporate traveling (because we love to travel) and have a destination wedding, and then host a reception for those who weren't at the ceremony. We are getting eloped in June to get all the legal stuff out of the way, then we are having a private (just immediate family) ceremony in Norway in July. After the ceremony, we are having our honeymoon in Iceland for a couple weeks, and then when we come back home, we are having our reception in August for everyone on our invite list to come to. We decided that since we were having a viking themed wedding, might as well go authentic and have the ceremony in Norway. The issue that I am having is how to write the wording for the invitations. What details would I need to incorporate? Since we want to keep it down to the immediate family in Norway, how do we invite everyone else to just the reception and not the ceremony? |
Question: Why has my boyfriend started acting like this? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 10:26 AM PST He's gonna go for a while to work to his cousin's country. I've been almost crying telling him not to go, but he just laught at me and says that I'm lovely and too tender to be true. Yesterday I had my head on his shoulder and I was cuddling with him. He started touching my face out of nowhere and smiled as he was secretly happy, cuddling me and touching my hair, caressing my face. He asked me almost begging me, to lay on his chest. It was the very first time something so... I mean, too much, but as he asked me with this tender voice, I agreed, put my head on his chest ans laid with him on the couch. He touched my hair and head kissing my forehead and sighed, and we both didn't say a word. Was it weird? I was lying on him and he kept treating me so good like a child, cuddles and hugs... I felt so loved... but why has he asked me this, for the first time, now? He was always the tough guy, the one who would always be strong and confident. |
Posted: 28 Jan 2019 08:02 AM PST I would like to get legally married but I get a disability check due to my learning I had in school. My mother has always been my caregiver and takes care of my doctor appointments and whatever else. I have been dating this guy for 14 plus years. My mother threw us normal wedding and reception like normal people has, and the only thing we didn't do is sign marriage licenses showing that we are legally married. My mother keeps telling me they use to do this common law marriage back in the day, but we had to do it this way order to keep my disability check from getting cut off. My mother also said Anna Nicole Smith had this kind of wedding and was doing the common law marriage. Do a lot of people do this common law marriage and if not, then how can I get legally married without my social security check from getting cut off? My mom also says my insurance (Aetna or Mississippi of Division medcaid/mediare) will get cut of and my husband will go to federal prison. This is true? |
