Question: Am i a toxic person or is my mother toxic? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:45 PM PST My mom believes everyone but me. I used to be upset or depressed because of some things in my life and I would skip school and stay in my room all day. My mom, she never listens to me to why i do the things i do and calls me a cry baby, tells me i have mental problems and that I get this "behavior" from my father. I've never been around my father and i dont even like him. My mother listens to everything her boyfriend tells her. Her boyfriend tells her to do evil stuff to me and my siblings. He makes up false stories and she believes it. He could say something like, I went to the moon and killed aliens and she'll believe it. I get blamed for everything and she goes along with the person who blames me even when its not my fault. she treats me different from my siblings. The only time she is nice to me is when company is around like my uncle or my grandmother. |
Question: I don’t know what to do...? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:45 PM PST So last week on Saturday we went to somebody's birthday party. I hate loud and crowded places, they make me anxious. While my mom and dad was out there drinking and sh-t, I asked for about an 1-2 hours, I told them if we can go home now because I just started getting really anxious. They just shooed me away. Right after my phone died (music calms me down) I just went to the restroom and cried for no reason. (I was really angry at this point, I don't even know why). Right after I came back, I sat back down and started like just scratching my knuckles out of nowhere to like distract me. I accidentally left some marks... It's about to be a week since the party and my mother barely noticed my knuckles... I told her that I accidentally hit myself with the door which caused these scratches. She told me I was wrong in the head and going to take me to a therapist or something over this little thing. They were legit out there drinking and dancing acting like they don't have 4 kids to drive home... |
Question: My parents changed my name? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:16 PM PST my name was originally anna hamilton, but now they changed it into diaper pacifier, because i got a 99 on a test in ap chem. im 16, and this is ridiculous |
Question: My parents give me this stupid pill? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:11 PM PST i'm 14, and my parents give me a pill that makes me sleep all day. I usually wake up between 10 and 11 am because of this stupid pill, and i go to bed at 6 or 7 pm. im homeschooled, so my mom says theres no need to get up super early this pill also makes me pee and poop without me even being aware of it, and it also makes me stutter when i talk. that's why i rely on email and text to communicate because i don't want people to make fun of me. furthermore, this pill makes my legs weak and my back curve, so i have to be on a wheelchair. and yes, scoliosis sucks. they gave me this pill because i told my mom i like someone, and she got really mad at me and did this to me. and Pearl Lederman: please do not say crap like call the cps or move out. please give me some genuinely helpful advice and solutions, as well as a strategy. im on a wheelchair, i stammer, and i have no control over my bladder or intestines, so keep that in mind |

Question: Yes, Michael Polanyi proved the FAiTH basis of science. Congrats to whoever got my source? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:03 PM PST This is the great scientist Polanyi I hold that the propositions embodied in natural science are not derived by any definite rule from the data of experience, and that they can neither be verified nor falsified by experience according to any definite rule. Michael Polanyi No inanimate object is ever fully determined by the laws of physics and chemistry. Michael Polanyi So long as we use a certain language, all questions that we can ask will have to be formulated in it and will thereby confirm the theory of the universe which is implied in the vocabulary and structure of the language. Michael Polanyi " a series of observations which at one time were held to be important scientific facts, were a few years later completely discredited and committed to oblivion, without ever having been disproved or indeed newly tested, simply because the conceptual framework of science had meanwhile so altered that the facts no longer appeared credible." Question: Need Help Understanding something if there is something to say to his mom about this? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:00 PM PST I am currently living with good family friends I have been living here for over 2 years now she has 2 Boys youngest is 7 oldest is 10 I sat down with her and asked if there was anything she needed to tell me as I thought there was an issue with me and her about her kids I Take her kids out a lot and watch them also summer time I babysit them too but wanted to try to understand something her oldest seems to want to hang out with me often she asked if I wanted to go hang out with her in the kitchen but I said I was laying on the couch playing video games and her son over and lay beside me is that weird or is that normal every time I sit on the couch her son always sits on my lap or beside me I don't want her to think it's weird as he always has done this with me ? Does he look up to me? I always treated him like my little brother. |
Question: I need help/advise, I babysit for two perverted 8 year olds.? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 01:53 PM PST They are not related, go to the same school, and are not friends. First child - only child, doesn't have a father. I don't know if he's trying to be funny; it's inappropriate. I would tell him to do homework, practice piano, etc. If he 'fights' me on it or doesn't start, I would give warnings. He would make comments as though he would punish me and force me to be naked. The second child, I'm more concerned with. He says to me that I need to take off my sweater or over shirt (he's noticed I wear cammies) and also asks to see my stomach/butt. Playing in the snow the other day, I asked not to throw snow at me because I don't want to have to dry my pants. He was very interested in having me wear my underwear and insisted on trying to get my pants wet from the snow. But, compared to other children I've watched, he throws major tantrums when he doesn't get his way. He would cry, yell at me, call me names, etc. He also has straight screamed at his parent after they got home because his sibling was making a mess near where he was playing—literal top of his lung screech scream. I am concerned to go to the parents. Firstly, I don't want to offend them; secondly, I don't want to lose the job; thirdly, what if there is some type of abuse happening? I don't know what to do. And I know I should say/do something ASAP. Additionally, I need to approach each differently. Please help!! |
Question: I'm 44, and my parents treat me lika a baby? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 01:23 PM PST im a 44 y.o. female, and my parents are in their 70s, and they still treat me like a baby, and force me to live with them. i have to go to bed at 6pm, and i cant wake up until 8 am. my parents give me a pill so i pee and poop without knowing, and they make me wear diapers and pacifier. they make me sleep in a crib, and feed me baby food. when we eat, they put me on a high chair and give me a bib. when we go out, i have to be a stroller, and at home, they make me crawl around wearing a diaper and a pacifier, im never allowed to walk they make me stay in my playpen, and buy me baby's toys such as dolls and blocks. they bathe me and change me. at around 3:45 pm each day they feed me baby food, and then bathe me and put me in baby pajamas, read me a bedtime story, and then make me watch some stupid mickey mouse cartoons. i have to say stupid baby words like "gah gah goo goo" or "blankie" all the time, and every sunday we go to church, and even though im 44, they put me in the nursery. my dad recently hired a tutor to come to our house twice a week, and she teaches me how to count and recite the alphabet. this crap has been going on ever since i was 14. they pulled me out of school after i finished 8th grade, and treated me as such ever since. and yes, my parents are asian. i have a 40 year old sister and a 47 year old brother. they were never treated like this, and they have successfully graduated college, got married, and they have their own kids right now. |
Question: My friend stole my AirPods (headphones) and won’t give them back? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 12:42 PM PST So at school today me and my friend Lisa were in German class together and I noticed my AirPods were gone and asked Lisa if she's seen them and she said no and I saw them in her bag and she said those were hers and I saw my name on them so I screamed at her |
Question: I don't feel safe at home? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 12:31 PM PST I'm Chinese, everyday from school the bus drops us off at the restaurant. We stay there till 9 pm doing nothing but work. Immediately I was put to work. She gave me a table saying they'll give me a good tip. But the other waitress stole it and now my sister is yelling at me telling me to die and **** in mandarin. It pisses me off because the worker is right next to us and she doesn't even know or care what she's saying. She said worse things, she copies mom. Mom tells me to die all the time. |
Question: Is it wrong to feel sympathetic toward my adoptive father? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 12:20 PM PST We got word this morning that my father was found at the bottom of the stairs of his house with a broken femur. He had been there, unable to call for help, for several days. None of us have talked to him in years, since he was physically, sexually and emotionally abusive to our family for years. However, he has been declared senile, and I feel sympathetic for a lonely, confused elderly man I once called dad. After everything he's done to us, should I feel guilty for that? He has no living family but us. |
Question: Can my children s father take our kids and move out of state without permission? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:58 AM PST Hi, so I want to get out of my sh*tty relationship but I know if I leave, my child s father will pull the "im leaving and taking the kids" move again. He actually left and went to his parents with our kids before without telling me, leading me to believe he had moved out of state and I was devastated. He has threatened to do it a few times (only when we fight) and i know he would find a way...ive been unhappy for a long time and want to leave but i know he will make my life a living hell when i do, so i want to make sure I have everything ready for that. I finally am financially able to leave and be on my own. Ive never wanted to keep him from his children, but I will most def do whatevet I need to keep him from using the kids to retaliate against me. Any legal advice so that I have an idea of what I will need to do will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:01 AM PST Why is he like this? He just believes in my younger sister. |
Question: Why does my mom have a problem with me drinking even though I’m 21? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 10:36 AM PST |
Question: Who can live on little food? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 09:06 AM PST When my brother came to see me last time all that was in my refrigerator was beer and butter. He will talk about it. I eat a lot of food out so I still eat well. Is my brother just kidding about living on just beer and butter and knows I eat much more? |
Question: Was I right to tell my uncle off when he was stringing me along? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 08:56 AM PST My uncle was wasting my time. He and my mom had some dispute and my mom wants nothing to do with him. I was trying to set and talk to him and he kept on saying he will 'try to find time' and that he's busy. I called multiple times and he did not answer. There were times when he didn't answer until half a year later! And when he agrees to meet with me, all these years, it never happened! It's been like 7yrs. He has met and spoken to my sister. So I told him how I felt offended that he answers my sister and talks to her when I was trying to meet with him. He kept making excuses. He contacts me last minute out of the blue and would say to meet in an hour and ended up not meeting me anyway. And he said he even turned off notifications for his texts! So I told him off several times that we should cease communication forever given that he has been doing this for years And does not meet with me. He'll keep pushing things around and wasting my time. All these years he has not met with me and his excuse is ' I need to find time' and would always end up not meeting me. And then when I told him off angrily, he said he could meet with me and randomly. He does not answer his text or phone. I've given him too many chances and he was not there when our family needed him. And my sister does not respect him and uses him. I even showed proof to my uncle about my sister trash talking him behind his back. I was genuinely trying to help him and resolve issues he had with my family or mom. I don't believe I have done anything to upset him. I'm a young adult and last time I saw him, I was only in high school. He has always been condescending and rude. He never directly rejected me. 'I told him if you do not want to meet with me then just say so' Lili, read the whole description, because it sounds like you have not, i am not a busybody, I appreciate your answer but do not insult me. |
Question: Is it bad for a mom to say this to her kid when she's angry? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 08:38 AM PST She'll say "f8ck you" to me. I'm always very supportive of her, but when she's in a bad mood or I did something she didn't like..these are pretty much the words followed by a long lecture. It's weird, because I'm not one of those rebellious kids at all. In fact I stay inside all day and never ask for anything. I just sort of sit there and listen to her problems. She's always commenting that she's stressed and it makes me very sad everytime she says this. So when she says the F word to me like that, I can't help it wonder why. |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 08:20 AM PST When my parents argue my mom gets me involved and makes me choose sides as in if I talk to my dad I'll get in trouble, she'll take my phone or make me feel guilty for "betraying her." When she's around I have to ignore my dad because she'll get mad. I want to have a relationship with my dad because we get along great but I'm afraid to because I don't want to get in trouble. So is it normal for that to happen? |
Question: Do you allow your teenager having musics and light on the whole night? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 08:17 AM PST My son turned 13 lately. He used to listen to stories from me at bedtime. Later Alexa replaced me. He also used to have the hall light on because he was afraid of darkness. Recently started to listen to musics from Alexa. He likes to close his door, has the lamp on the whole night (half dimmed). With so many teenager challenges, I chose not to fight it. But I'm very concerned this would cause his health. Kids (anyone) need good night sleep. Noise and lights interferes his sleep even though he doesn't believe so. |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 08:16 AM PST My parents argue back and forth which I'm used to but my mom makes me feel guilty for being around my dad. We usually have to ignore each other if she comes around because she'll punish me for betraying her. She'll take my phone or make me feel guilty.Which is just one of the many things that goes on. Is that normal for a parent to separate from the kid because of there arguments? |

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 11:46 PM PST My sister is 15 she's obsessed with gay men for some odd reason she watches gay porn on her phone she watches videos of guys kissing. She gets mad or jealous when she sees a gay couple kissing or cuddling together she even saw one of her favorite actors with his husband she got mad at him. I'm also a gay man she gets jealous whenever she sees me and my fiancé kiss or hugging. Does this mean she's gay or is there something bothering her ? |

Posted: 17 Jan 2019 09:18 PM PST I was watching a youtube video about the Willard Walker Hospice Home where my Dad died. I'm sitting here wanting my Dad back. As bad he was to me before I was 16 and beat him to a pulp. Even though he wasted my teenage years chasing women that he has nothing in common with that are from an entirely different background, and have entirely different beliefs and an entirely different way of life. Even though he died on me and left me in an apartment... with a futon as an inheritance. Even though he treated my sisters like sh!t. |

Question: I killed my own mother? Posted: 17 Jan 2019 07:18 PM PST It's 24 years without her. I wish I can say I ever met her or had a conversation with her, but unfortunately it will never happen. I wish I could have felt at least once, a mother's touch, a meal cooked by my mom, a mother's love. My very first breath were the last of hers. How can I deal with this? |

Well her bFF looked at her when I entered a room and said her name. Her BFF helped her approach me. She stared @ me in school. A teacher she talked to told me she talked about me. Question: Is your parent needy? Posted: 17 Jan 2019 05:23 PM PST I realized that my father follows me in the house, like if I wake up have coffee and make breakfast he follows me. If I go in the pool he stands and watches me. He walks into my room in the middle of the night and asks me if everything is okay. This is quite odd behavior? Don't you think? He also when he sees me texting he will ask who are you texting, etc. I have also caught him there in the couch just sitting and staring at me. Is this normal? |
Question: I’m 17 and my mom has borrowed hundreds of dollars from me and won’t stop or pay me back.? Posted: 17 Jan 2019 04:00 PM PST I don't wanna make this super long but basically my mom has borrowed around $400 from me in the last 3 months or so. Some of it i didn't even lend to her she just took it. she struggles financially which is why i want to help but i'm a still a kid and i hate worrying about money. i don't think it's right for her to put me in this situation because i can't say no but it really starts to make me mad because she can't just figure out her own money she almost seems to be relying on me like the money is my responsibility. i'm literally a teenager, and its not that she doesn't make enough money, but shes irresponsible when it comes to how she spends it. i'm getting really sick of it. she's taken almost all the money i've made from working and when i ask her to pay me back she says she won't be paying me back anytime soon. it's driving me crazy and i don't know what to do in this situation. |
Question: Would this be a good idea ? Posted: 17 Jan 2019 03:43 PM PST My sister is 15 she loves Queen she has a crush on Brian May the guitar player she's going to see them this summer for the Bohemiam Rhapsody tour she wants to try to sleep with him. I told her maybe she could give him a hug or ask him for a kiss on the cheek but thats it. I told her that's probably not a good idea she might either end up pregnant or arrested or both also he might end up going to jail for having sex with a teenage girl he also be cheating on his wife if she ends up pregnant he'll have to pay for child support which for him might not be a problem with all the money he's got he could probably have people or family pay it for him. Also he be dead by the time the kid graduated high school. She wouldn't want to do all this to him even though she dreams about it it's not gonna turn out like she plans not like in her dreams. They're not gonna be married or have a happy family he's not going to be around to help with the kid especially when he's got a family of his own. When I told her she got mad at me she said she and him were meant to be together. Does this sound like a good idea ? |
Posted: 17 Jan 2019 03:34 PM PST So I'm a kindergarten teacher and I have the two brothers who think fighting is always the answer and that it's okay to curse. I asked him what his favorite sport is and he said fighting, then I asked him what he liked to do for fun and he said fight. I told him that's not okay and that violence isn't the answer and then asked him the questions again and he said fighting again. I try to teach them through kindness. Like if they don't fight I will make them line leader, they won't fight but they'll call other kids name and yell at them. And there are a few times they're good and quiet and not being mean to other kids without me having to tell them that and I tell them good job and then later on they're back to fighting and cursing and they even take off their belts sometimes with intent to whip the other kids. When I tell their orange about their behavior their parents do listen and say they hit them but they just come back acting the same way. I think their parents hit them for discipline but still let them do whatever they eat after like play outside or watch tv. They also sometimes fight each other and say they hate each other and they hate their whole family. When I hold their hand to walk somewhere they don't like it, and after the winter break I hugged all the kids because I love them like they're my kids and the brother just don't like affection. What can I do to get through to them, this is my first year? |
Question: Do you make people in your family suffering to save money? Posted: 17 Jan 2019 01:30 PM PST In my thought it's not necessary to make people in your family suffering just to save little bit of money. I know few family make their children suffering just to save few bucks. My thought that's wrong but some family is very cheap with lifestyle. Example: when husband and wife with 4 children traveling in greyhound bus together, they choose cheapest ticket by ride in wrong time which make whole family sit 5 hours on each stop station wait to go on next bus. Which it take more than 36 hours from begin to end. Or spent 3 dollars more per tickets to get ride at right good time which it gonna take you 16 hours instead of 36 just only for 18 dollars more. |
