Question: My mum is spreading rumours about me? What should I do? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 02:03 PM PST Was my 18th, I got WASTED. My mum picked me up after and freaked out cause I was talking non stop. First time she'd seen me drunk, I'm usually a really quiet girl. She thought I must have been drugged. My friends were with me the whole night, nothing bad happened except really embarrassing dancing and singing. She phoned the police, told them I was drugged and asked for a drug test. She then put off the drugs test. Then the police phoned me and asked what had happened that night. I told them everything I had told her. They said they could do a drugs test if I wanted but it's probably too late anyway so I said doesn't matter. The policewoman then phoned my mum and told her that it didn't seem like anything bad had happened and to calm down as I am now 18 and can make my own decisions or something. This all made my mum really angry as she thinks everyone is making her out to be overly paranoid/dramatic, as my dad also agreed with the policewoman. So now my mum is telling everyone that I take drugs and went out back and did it with some stranger. It definitely did not happen but she is telling everyone it is. She is now trying to kick me out of the house to live with my dad. Any advice? This is not a troll story and any advice would be greatly appreciated |
Question: How to comfort your sister ? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 01:44 PM PST My sister is 15 and pregnant her son's father is twice her age he's the same age as me he's 41. She loves him so much she wants to get married when she's 16. Our parents are dead so I'm in charge of her I got a lot to deal with already my wife is also pregnant with our 3rd baby I got two young kids myself I'm not raising another one if she leaves him with me. I was gonna give her the sex talk when she was 16 it's too late probably should have when she was 13. I hope I can teach my nephew when he gets older if she doesn't knowing her she probably won't. He's gonna be like her gonna get away with and do whatever he wants that's how spoiled she is. She'll probably treat him the same. I think maybe I'll talk to him if she hasn't when he's 11 or 12 about it. How can I help her ? |

Question: Help with grammar and speech? :D 10? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 12:03 PM PST Could you help me edit this to make it sound better? My English and grammar is bad. Thank you! 20 years ago a very intelligent and hardworking man traveled to an unknown land in search of a better life. He started with nothing to opening a restaurant, starting a family and buying a house. That man was my dad. My name is Ricky. Today I'm going to tell you how my dad has helped shaped me the way I am today by teaching me hard work, education, and respect. The first lesson my dad taught me was the value of hard work. My grandparents were poor, they had no money and lived in a small village. Every day my dad would wake up early and help my grandparents with farm work. When my dad was 20 years old, he moved to the United States in search of a better life. My dad had little to no money and didn't know English. When he arrived in the United States, he found a job at a Chinese Restaurant. He would work 12 hours a day and 7 days a week. After work, he would teach him English every day. Eventually, he saved enough and opened a restaurant and started a family. Ever since I was a kid my dad would always tell me to always work hard. |
Question: How do I survive my girlfriends bratty teenage girls? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 10:43 AM PST I feel like I am in a warzone everyday. My girlfriend is on business all the time and I have to take care of them by myself. They sleep around do drugs and their mom doesn't care. I Grounded THEM from the radio and tv , but I keep hearing it and they say its not on , but I KEEP HEARING IT. I grounded them from their car , which meant we all had to drive together which was hell. I am making them use hall passes , and if I don't like their reason for using my hallway, I can deny them access to the hallway the fridge and the bathroom. I dumped soap all over their food and drenched them several times with the hose because they disrespected me and swore at me. They didn't say hi at breakfast so I refused to shut the door for several hours during a snow storm , which caused everyone to get mad at me and each other. I refuse to leave let them out of their room for last weekend because they were so bad. The girls threw a tantrum and called their grandpa and he was ready to kick my ***. My girlfriend is mad she could lose custody over this or they are going to run away. but I can't let them walk on me. I took them to Hawaii for Christmas and they bitched the whole time.My gf was happy. I bought them a gift certificate to get their nails done and go to Victoria secrets. They can't even say thank you They are 16 and 17 |

Posted: 28 Jan 2019 08:07 AM PST So my dad and his 21 year old intern girlfriend are expecting their first baby any day now. He said he'd like his other kids to be able to come see the baby after Melissa has it. I feel a little weird about going since I'm older than Melissa is!!!! I mean she could be my girlfriend or sister with our ages being so close, not my dad's gf or the mother of his future child. They work together at the same company. My dad manages HR and she is a marketing intern and got pregnant during her third year of college. This woman literally has him wrapped around her finger. Idk if its the age difference and the fact that she's way out of his league or what, but he'll do way more than any other man would for her. I assume she's a freak in bed, so maybe he's pretty fortunate. He was planning on retiring at 62 because he's had a lot of health issues the last couple of years....diabetes, high blood pressure, prostate issues and reoccurring kidney stones. Now he probably wont be able to retire at 62 I assume. |
Question: What should a guy do for a girl when she's sad ? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 05:23 AM PST My sister is really upset she has to go to an art studio this morning she been there before it's been a while they changed it a lot instead of being there only 2 hours now she's there all day. She's not sure if she wants to go she wants me or our brother to go with her she's kind of nervous. How can I help her feel better ? |
Question: Should I tell my family my health concerns or keep it a secret? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 04:20 AM PST Recently I have been having really abnormal chest pains. I'm young, and never had something like this; I know this isn't your average cold-induced tight chest. A few weeks back I was having breathing issues, but was prescribed medicine that fixed it up pretty quickly. I feel like I should tell my family about what is going on but I don't want to stress them out. My family has taken a big bite out of our savings and they are already extremely stressed over the money and etc. What do I do? Do I worry them even more or do I let it go and hope whatever this is passes? |
Question: How do I get out of having to name my child Jim Jarrett? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 04:19 AM PST I knew a guy with this name who was horrible to our family. My mother wants me to name my son this, son due in May, but I really don't want to. How do I get out of having to do it? I know people will say it is not her baby but I fear displeasing my mother, I worry about it all the time and even my husband tells me to let it go. Also Jim Jarrett followed by my last name might sound goofy. My mother wants the baby named after this person cause she liked him for some sick reason and he died young of cancer. Jarrett is a common enough name I figured I can post it on here, I assume lots of people have that name. |
Posted: 28 Jan 2019 04:08 AM PST I don;t want to seem disloyal to family but obviously it is not my brother or grandfather that died. There are other funerals that will be more important but I will feel guilt missing any funeral in the family for someone I know. I knew this cousin of his. Not like kin, but would see her once a year at a Christmas party, sometimes twice a year if there was a reunion or funeral. There is no viewing for some reason, only a service and reception with internment private the following day for immediate family (sibs, widow, kids, and grandkids) |
Question: Do I deserve forgiveness? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 02:47 AM PST My dad beat me up so badly I ended up in hospital, all because I got drunk and high and slept with his fiancé. I don't remember anything only parts of it and I knew I was wrong and it was like I was out of my body and as much as I wanted to control myself, I couldn't. My mom is angry at him because she says she is to blame because she is an adult, but I know is my fault. If it wasn't because I was drunk and high I wouldn't have done anything stupid and my dad wouldn't hate me so much and wanted me dead. |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 11:18 PM PST ok i texted my mother telling her my older daughter had a fever and wouldn't be going to school she had to pick her up from the house well she texted me saying she wasn't getting them cause she doesn't want to get sick but yet here i am now with a fever but yet I am still doing every thing i have to but yet she's trying to get custody of them and can't even deal with them funny |
Question: Sister Is Threatening To Kill Mother And I Over Student Loans ? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 10:17 PM PST I've secured a contract with my lenders to make timely negotiated payments for the remainder of this year. Once the year is up, my sister will no longer be the liable co signer of my student loans from over 10 years ago. What bothers me is My mother has cancer. She also has a very high death insurance policy and owns 2 homes, something she spent her entire life building. My mother has requested in her will that all the funds, and properties be forwarded to me and that my sister is restricted from her funeral proceedings . My sister does not like this and has threatened to sue me in court after my mother dies for a piece of the death insurance and one or both homes. My sister states she will use the student loans as an excuse to sue. claiming her credit score was effected by them and that my mother and I are to blame. She wants to "make up " for her losses and the "emotional suffering" she has undergone . My sister believes the courts will side with her because she is a woman with children , and I am a single white male. My mother is afraid for me after she passes and wishes there was something she could do to protect me from her , but what? even after i get my sister off the loan contract, she still wants to sue me . These student loans are a nightmare. Is there a limit on how much she can take ? i a 5 grand student loan with her , could she take two homes and most of the death insurance money ? that would kill my mother and I emotionally if that happened. I have 5 grand in student loans , co signed by my sister. can she actually sue me for most of the death insurance and both homes ? it seems unfair, but most people tell me it is possible |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 09:27 PM PST I badly miss not having a family, but my wife and I bicker a lot and time is almost up for us in the regard of the possible child-raising years of our lives. Should we just go ahead and adopt, even though we fight? My parents fought and I hated it as a child. I would never harm a child. I have extraordinary patience for children, but I can't guarantee that my wife wouldn't and I don't think our fighting will magically stop either. We can provide for a child well though. And I would be a very loving, caring, father. |
Question: How do I convince my daughter to break up with her boyfriend? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 09:18 PM PST My husband David and his best friend Kyle have been best friends since grade school. They served overseas together, went to college together, and even live 3 blocks apart. Our families do everything together. What he doesn't realize is that Kyle and I have been having an affair since before we were married 22 years ago. Kyle is actually the father of our second child, my Daughter Allie. David has no clue. A year ago, Allie started dating Kyle's son. It makes sense, our families have always been close, they grew up together, theyre the same age. It's just, I'm freaking out, she has no idea that's her brother. I know they've been having sex, and now they want to get an apartment next year when they go to college. David and Kyle's wife think it's great. They're getting really serious.... what if she gets pregnant??? How do I convince her to break up with him without telling her the real reason? :( I'm not ruining our marriages over this. |
Question: Should knowing a childs password bother them (since of privacy -vs- authority)? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 08:43 PM PST Do I tell him about privacy. Try to teach secrecy. But how? (parents problem) -or- pretend not to know. To protect feelings. Hope for best. ____ I know my nephews, 1St grade, password for his ipad. Everything is child blocked by parents. He gets mad when other people know. (recently changed from simple pattern to 6-digit number; still easy sequence forward/backwards) he shows a since of pride in greater memory/skill, but Everyone has told him to cover/hide screen when entering it. (this is how I know it was changed) or we don't let him use it in public (mainly used in home, car...) |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 08:29 PM PST How is he family when he is a total stranger? If he is family then our my 25th cousins family when obviously I don't know any of them or if I do I don't know their related? |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 07:36 PM PST Im a guy. So my mom thinks it's weird but I always ask my mom to teach me how to cook. I always tell her to wait for me when she cooks but shes always cooking without me. She always asks my step sister to help but she hates cooking. I actually like cleaning, dancing, cooking. I actually want to learn how to sow clothes. Idk why but I think it's pretty cool. My mom says things like "if you want to learn how to cook just make yourself something" to me that's like saying that shes not gonna teach me and to learn myself. I like boxing and sports but I really like doing the other things. |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 07:35 PM PST I am 24 years old and my older brother Joe is 36. He has an ID with an IQ of 68. Right now Mom does almost everything for him. He has a part time job (7.5 hrs a day 4 times a week). He mows the grass and does the laundry. Mom however manages his money, cooks all his meals, wakes him up and makes sure he gets to bed on time. I think he could do more if mom would let him (or make him). He likes to go to movies, and there is a movie theater on the bus route, so he could easily take the bus there and see a movie and come back home by himself. Mom is worried that someone might do something to him. The thing is I don't know if he could or would manage his money. I could easily see him spending $200 on video games and having the power shut off if he were living independently (not in a group home). Mom is 62 and had a heart attack about two weeks ago. She was in the hospital 4 days, and those were the first four days I think he spent the night by himself in his entire life. I showed him how to use Mom's George Foreman to make a couple of hamburgers and how to pack a lunch, and he got it very quickly. After his first night alone, I called him to make sure he had gotten up on time, and he had. Mom has pulled through it pretty well. But there is coming a time, when, forever reason, she won't be able to care for him, and I need to know what I need to do to assume care for him. |
Question: My Parent's relationship? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 07:24 PM PST At a Psychologists office, I was asked about how my parent's relationship was. I told her, that I can stand here and proudly say, that I grew up with both my dad and my mom, and that the only reason why they got divorced, is because mother nature and god's good humor said so when my Mom died. But here's the deal on that. It should never have been that way, because my mom only stuck with him, because she was stuck with him. She never had a chance at life. She had Muscular Dystrophy and she wouldn't have been capable of any sort of gainful activity, and toward her death, she also had end stage COPD. She also had an IQ of about 80 or 85. For white people, the people that she would have been around that is horrible... And she was under the spells of my dad, who had an IQ of 160... The fact of the matter is, my dad was bully. Back when my mom was the age that I am right now talking to you... My mom was getting weaker and sicker and more frail. There would have been no Mc Donalds and an education Archways to Opportunity for her.. She was nether strong and healthy enough for the job, nor smart enough to receive and/or make good, effective use of the education. And that was by age 32 going on 33 as I am today. And that is the only reason why my dad married her anyway.. Because he can control her in every way possible. Any woman in another way of life would, and has dumped his abusive a)ss. :P |
Question: How to comfort a girl through labor ? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 05:50 PM PST My sister is having a baby in June she's only 15 not only I'm her sons uncle she asked me to also be the godfather. She also wants me to be there when the baby is born. How can I help her ? |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 05:49 PM PST I know that it's "Just Business" and that he probably "Just wants my money". But we had a connection and a strong bond. He has a young family and I think he was counting on selling our house so he could use the commission to help out his situation. He was so devastated and crushed when we decided to tell him we aren't selling our house and though I know that this is Just Business and that we also need the money...I can't help but feel bad for him. |
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 05:39 PM PST So I'm really going through it right now mentally. This is really difficult on my spirits due to the passing of my grandmother. My father didn't have a relationship with her due to his own reasonings which in turn had distanct me from growing up around her. As an adult I was well aware that I could break that barrier but choose not to. My family who were closest to my grandmother didn't like me for not making the effort or time, which was understandable. I didn't know her very well. Needless to say, a few weeks ago I found out that not only did my family move her to the city where I live and never told me, but that she was sick and dying. I didn't know how to reach out because obviously, they didn't want to hear from me, so I tried reaching out to other family members whom I thought would provide information. However it seemed as everyone was told to ignore me because not one person got back to me. A few days later she passed away and I feel so guilty. Once again I don't know what to say to anyone or how to react. I seen a subliminal post from a cousin on fb that said that I needed to pray about it, away "m.i.a" then later found that the majority of my family unfriended me on social media, leaving no way for me to get funeral info. I am beyond stressed and depressed. I feel almost like her death was because of me. I don't know how to cope. Should I reach out? If so what should I say? Please, any help with be greatly appreciated! Thank you! |

Question: Should i wear this shirt infront of my parents? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 03:59 PM PST I am 20, I am living at home while i attend my community college, i am about to graduate and move out to my university. My friends and I drink every once in a while when we are out. My friends bought me a gift for my birthday a few weeks ago, its a shirt that says "Weekends and Rum are my favorite" it is a cheesy shirt but it is cute and I appreciate my friends being so sweet to getting me this shirt. I had waned it for a while. Well like I said, I live at home right now. I really want to wear this shirt but I am afraid my parents will say something. They might not, they are pretty understanding and laid back with little things like this. Even when we go out for family dinners they let me drink glasses of wine. I'm just wodnering, how do you think they'll react to this? |

Question: Is it ok to cry in front of your wife ? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 02:01 PM PST My wife was watching a show about the Slender Man stabbing I never knew much about it. I heard about it a lot but they said stuff that I never knew. I was 17 when it happened not much older than those girls. I'm 22 now I still can't believe it. How would a kid know how to do this stab another kid with a kitchen knife. I believe in ghosts and horror but I don't know wether to believe in Slender Man in a way I do but in another way I don't. Our daughter is only 3 weeks old I wouldn't know what I do if she grew up to be like this. It kind of scares me. Is it ok to cry in front of her ? |
