Question: I ruined my moms birthday. help? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 05:18 PM PST My mom said I ruined her birthday and I don't know what to do. Tomorrow we were going to celebrate her birthday at my grandmas house and I was going to bake her a cake for her real birthday (today). Instead I texted her and said I was going to make the cake tomorrow instead since we were going to celebrate her birthday tomorrow and she got really mad at me. She said that "it's not right" "it's really annoying me that your doing this". And so I told her if you wanted the cake today, we could do that too and that I didn't really care when we have it. Then she told me to forget it and to not friggen bother and that "she seriously doesn't want it and wants to throw the ingredients in the trash." I had no one to talk to about this and I don't know what to do. I downright feel like **** and been so upset that I ruined her birthday. |
Question: What does this mean? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 04:15 PM PST If you ask a person what they're doing? Does that mean you are checking on them? |
Question: What do I do ? She blocked from her phone and Facebook? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 03:21 PM PST We didn't even get into a fight. She's a friend and she told me she wanted to take break from me? Because I exhaust her? After that text she blocked me on her phone and Facebook. Long story short I acted a bit needy towards her asking her for help with helping me change and stuff but cmon we've been talking 6 years! What do I do? Give her space ? If so how much weeks, months ? She told me that I drained her of her energy with my problems. She waited after years to tell me this!!! The knot thing she didn't block me was iMessage ... i mean my email accounts ... should i text her? Or give her space to cool off? Or is this friendship over ? |

Posted: 26 Jan 2019 02:33 PM PST Do you think it's weird or creepy for an adult to meow like a cat? For me personally that is something a little kid would do because the reason I ask this is because i'm a 27 year old female and I have a friend who is 59 and I was talking with her on the phone yesterday and she meowed like a cat and I thought it was kinda scary |
Question: Is it a bad thing that I’m skeptical of my friend now? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 02:30 PM PST I became friends with this girl I met freshman year of college, and we decided to be roommates the following year. My first roommate (freshman year) would go into my things without telling me or asking me, so I made a rule with my friend (we're roommates now) to not go into my things without asking first. One day, after I got back from class, she told me that she went into my drawer to use my nail polish remover to get a stain out of her pants, and that while she was in my drawer, she helped herself to a few q-tips and cotton balls. Then she said that she meant to ask me, but forgot. So, I was upset that she broke my number one rule, and now I'm very skeptical of her behavior. |
Question: When I think about a specific person my heart starts pounding and I start feeling odd.? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 02:08 PM PST Me and this guy have been talking for a while, but recently when I think about him by heart start beating more and I get this feeling I can't describe. What is this? |
Question: What are you supposed to do at a sleepover? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 01:39 PM PST Please help, I have no personality. I'm not joking. |
Question: Should I give this girl a second chance? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 01:15 PM PST I'm trying to make this short, so bear with me. I went on a date with a girl four months ago. About three weeks had passed from when we met to our first date. She was pretty standoffish during the first date and was acting aloof and I got the vibe that she didn't really want to be there. Kind of a night and day difference between when I first met her and the first date. I didn't really hear anything from her after our date, so I chalked it up to a loss. Months have passed by and she randomly texted me yesterday telling me she was going to be in my city and wanted to apologize to me in person for the way she acted on our date. She really didn't go into details, but she said in between when we met and our first date, she got a phone call from her doctor who mentioned that she might have cancer. I guess she eventually did get diagnosed with really early stage cervical cancer and she said that's why she acted the way she did and why I haven't heard from her. She had surgery to remove the cancer cells and everything's fine now. Would you give her another chance? I did like her, but I haven't heard from her in months and I thought she ghosted me and wasn't interested this whole time. I also wonder why it took so long for her to reach out and tell me this. |
Question: Mom wont let me go to the mall alone with my friend? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 12:59 PM PST I'm almost 18 and my mom still wont let me go to the mall alone. I won't even be alone, I'll be with a friend. When I was 11, she downloaded a tracker on my phone so she'll know where I'm at at all times. But even with the tracker, she still won't let me go. Isnt that good enough for her? I even told her I'll check in every 30 minutes. I won't be gone for long. Only for about 2-3 hours. I'll call her immediately when we're done. What do I do? I can't deal with her anymore. I just want to spend time with my friend without my mom around. |
Question: How do I make friends? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 12:43 PM PST 23 year old male who moved to Tucson in July. I have a job but no one there is really around my age. |
Question: How to be more likeable? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:51 AM PST Basically, I'm irrelevant. During school and stuff, I'll force myself into people's friendship circles so that I have people to talk to but I know they don't want me there. Whenever I ask someone to do something after school they are always 'busy'. How can I become more likeable? I'm 14 btw. |
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:12 AM PST It's really getting annoying seeing their faces be the first ones to always pop in on my stories views, yet they NEVERRRR like my picture whether it be a selfie or just a photo of my art (I'm an artist) They go and watch everything I post to let me know they are watching yet cant even support me and they wonder why I rarely wanna go to a party with them. Its not my thing I'm more of a home body. Could they be mad because of that ?? That's so stupid lol. I feel like deleting them. If they don't like my content why are they so interested in what I'm doing lmao. |
Question: Who is in the wrong here, and how do we fix this issue? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:08 AM PST My friend (roommate) is a HUGE procrastinator and has TERRIBLE time management skills. She has an alarm for 8:00am, 8:05am, 8:15, 8:30, and 8:45 on the weekends for her to get up for work. So, this morning, all of her alarms went off (at the times listed above) and she got up, turned them off, and went back to bed. By 9:05, she still isn't up, so I decide to use the bathroom and take a shower. When she got back from work, she tells me that she needs to use the bathroom first on weekends because she has work. That's totally understandable, however, last semester, on the days that she had class she'd sometimes turn off her alarm and go back to sleep, so I'd ask her if she was going to get ready (because I had to get ready too, but her class is before mine) and she'd tell me that she decided not to go to class. In my opinion, it isn't my fault that she decided not to get up on time for her to go to work, right? |
Question: Why do people randomly act like they hate you though you did nothing to them? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 10:44 AM PST So... In the workplace.. What puzzles me... Is someone who doesnt bother Anyone or go out of their way to speak to anyone... Someone that doesnt create any trouble. Has a life. Doesnt start rumors. Has been trusted with personal and confidential things gets treated as though theyre hated. I do alot for my team with their emotional well being. I am the team facillitator for documentation of anything of importance and communicated to all of my mates... I perform as well as i can... And yet im given a cold shoulder. I admit I have a strong personality. And at the same time can be very quiet. So maybe thats whats offputting. But again... I go to work and i go home. But I'm talked about like a dog.. Lol i dont get it... Im not arrogant. I congratulate others and give when i can. But again cant seem to understand how I can get these vibes. Again. Im strongminded and dont need too much validation from this..i just want to know why people would be this way when ive done nothing wrong... My statys in the office is pretty low-key.. I dont get too involed for anyone to spread anything ABOUT me lol so i cant be a rumor unless it's a lie... Any pointers? (Btw my team is dominantly women.) And on TOP of that not even approach me or say what's wrong when they've confided in me in the past about their personal problems |
Question: Should I stop all contact with her? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 09:53 AM PST I've been "friends" with this girl ever since we were in kindergarten. We were super close growing up but once we got into high school she must of realized I was "uncool" for her and she didn't want to hangout/talk to me because I wasn't good enough for her and she didn't want to be seen with me. She would only talk to me when there was nobody else around and when there was "cool" kids around she would totally ignore me and make fun of me with the other cool kids. She's still like that now since we graduated but she's honestly my only friend so I try to talk to her still because I have no one else and I miss how our old friendship used to be. She still talks to me sometimes on her terms. Some times if I try talking to her she totally ignores me and leaves me on "read". Our friendship is/was based on outdoing each other. I got my license before her (she still doesn't have hers) and when I told her about it she seemed to care less and tried saying something to "outdo" me. She just brags about everything and sends me pictures of alcohol drinks to "brag" to me that she's drinking when I don't know why because we're both of legal age to drink. I know she's technically not a friend but she's really all I have because my high school friends never talk to me anymore unless I talk to them and literally no one cares to be my friend. I'm always home on weekends because I got absolutely no plans ever except if I'm working and that "friend" is always hanging with her boyfriend or her.. .."cool" friends. I just am depressed and with my Borderline Personality Disorder, my anxiety and depression, I'm just lonely and don't have anyone. If I stop all contact with her it's like I have nobody. |
Question: Why do so many people insist I am lying when I’m not? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 09:48 AM PST About things like having to work extra while in school cause of sick family that I help, that I make a lot as a laborer, and that I do try to keep up with school but have many roadblocks? I work 6 days a week but since I work at night folks insist that I don't really have a job. I worked once a week at one job that payed terribly and they insisted that I never worked and lived off my parents (who I actually help pay bills for). I live on my own but send them money. I'm told I'm not honest but they just don't believe me cause they never see it. Why would my coworkers think I'm being untruthful about something like this?! |
Question: How to become close with my roommate and her friends? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 09:45 AM PST we were kinda friends last year but I am very shy. I may have social anxiety, im not sure but i just stay in my room all day, i do not go out of my room unless i know im alone. sometimes they invite people over and i hung out with them a few times and i wish i can be friends with them. they invite me in sometimes and i feel bad for just staying in my room when they come over.. I want to go out and say hi but then idk what else to say.. they speak in a diff language so they talk with each other in a language i cant understand so i just stand there not knowing what to do so to avoid the awkwardness, i stay in my room, hoping they could let me hang out with them.. i just dont know how to start a convo.. do i just come out and say hi and go back in my room? is that okay? do i keep my door closed or open? because they will be able to see what im doing and its awk to leave my door open and they dont talk to me.. i dont want to make it seem like im wanting them to talk to me.. |
Question: Best friend troubles? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 08:16 AM PST my best friend gets mad at me a lot because i don't have as much "common sense" as her. what do i do? |
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 07:37 AM PST My friend (current roommate) has a tendency to buy me gifts every time after we get into an argument or disagreement. For example, she doesn't wrap her pads when she's on her period, and I find that disgusting. It took me two times to tell her that she needs to wrap her pads, and when she continued to not wrap her pads, I was visibly mad/disgusted, and when I got back from class, she bought me a bracelet with a note saying, "here's my apology". She's also a terrible communicator, for example, she'll agree to plan things with me (ie, lunch, dinner, shopping etc) and at the last minute, she'll change her mind. When I confronted her about this, her response was, "oh I forgot" or "I was leaning towards no". My thing is, don't tell me "yes" when you meant "no", it's not like I'm going to throw a fit when someone tells me no. Whenever that happens, she'll buy a red velvet cupcake (she works at a bakery) but jokes on her because I don't like cream cheese frosting. Anyway, what do you call this type of person? "Nice" or a "kiss up" |
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 05:57 AM PST I later learned he knew he was lying when he told me. |
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 05:19 AM PST I just realized that I don't often text my good friends, but when we do text or meet up, it's like old times. Is this normal? |
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 03:59 AM PST They even tried to kill me.The boys yelled kill her.I was 17 and I will never forget the boy I liked yelling KILL HER. |
Question: What is the best last message to someone who I want to cut ties.? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 12:00 AM PST I'm leaving from a friend and will never meet up again. Because that person is not my friend anymore. So I want to send a text message when I m leaving. Tell me just simple best final message which looks indirect to say good bye forever. |
Question: Is someone a real friend if they check up on you but dont need you? Posted: 25 Jan 2019 11:38 PM PST |
Question: What would you think if your friend told you this? Posted: 25 Jan 2019 09:15 PM PST What would you think if your friend told you that a vacation with his wife isn't as fun as a vacation with multiple people, would be? My friend and I were discussing this cruise I'm going on soon (I'm female, he's male). He was telling me about a similar one that he and his wife took a couple years ago. He made it sound like he'd rather spend it with a bunch of people than spend it with just her. This is a married couple who hasn't had a real moment alone in almost 11 years. What would you think? By the way, it's not my business, but I have feelings for him even though I shouldn't so that's why I'm like hmmm. |
